Villa Mathis: "Une merveille"

I stayed at Villa Mathis for a week in April 2017 with my son .... it was a marvel. Everything was perfect, beautiful setting, decor, cleanliness, friendliness of the staff, the tranquility of the place .... a real haven of peace and serenity. The kitchen, also a delight! I recommend the Rice Villa, simply Wonderful!

Manukan Island Resort: "Paradise island and resort"

"This was a great place to be. Everything was just perfect. The hospitality of the staff is great. They really want you to have a good time. At the restaurant you could also ask for things beside the menu and the cook would look what was possible. The guests of the resort have their own private beach and swinmingpool. You can use the towels of the resort so not necessary to bring your own. The resort is not too large and that is exactly what gives it a charm. We stayed 4 nights and everybody knew us. The room was perfect also. Looking out at the beach and with a large bathroom. At daytime the island has a lot of day visitors (depending on the day and season how many) but after 5 pm the island is deserted except for the residents of the resort. We did also the jungle track to the sunset point and that was allright and took aprox 50 minutes. And there are possibilities to snorkel and dive. "

Villa Song Saigon: "A lovely experience"

We are 2 couples who live different sides of the world. This hotel was a perfect place to meet. After long haul flights, start a holiday with a slow pace relaxing by the pool or in the beautiful river side garden. The staff are wonderful. Breakfast is delicious and served any time you like is a nice touch. This hotel is less suited to people who want to stay at the heart of the action.

Reverie Siam Pai: "Faultless"

"My partner and I stayed at this establishment for 4 nights in October and I am so happy that we chose to come here. This was the end of trip through Vietnam and Cambodia and we both agree that this hotel was one of our highlights. We initially chose the hotel as it is slightly out of Pai which suited as it meant we could dip in and out of the town when we wanted. We had a mountain view room which was gorgeous. The room is decorated in such a way that you feel comfortable straight away and we loved the eccentric little pieces dotted around and attention to detail. The shower was amazing! The actual ground were also amazing and so lovely to walk round. The hidden pavilion is lovely in the daytime to sit by the river, and lit up by fairy lights in the evening it is a beautiful and romantic retreat. But the real thanks must go to the staff. The girls that served our meals were so polite as friendly, they really would go out of their way to help you. The boys that drove the shuttle into town always had a smile on their faces. And without a doubt a huge thank you to the cocktail mixologist boys who made out stay. Their signature cocktails are absolutely amazing and the effort they put into them is second to none. They deserve an award for their skills! Thank you Reverie for a truly memorable stay. And if you are considering whether to stay here all I can say is just book it, you won't regret it."

Slow Villas and Spa: "7 days of paradise"

Gili Air is itself already a special place, however, if you stay at Slow Villa this will give you the last notch to perfection. The villa itself is very well organized with private pool, massive private garden, lovely villa and beautifully designed interior. The stuff was great even at peak breakfast hours and also for special arrangements like bbq of the fish we caught in the morning. The staff is more than helpful in giving you tips in terms of restaurants, bars, activities, organizing travel arrangements, etc. In a pretty short time you get a good impression about the island itself and the other accommodation and I can without any doubt say that Slow Villa is definitely the best place to stay on Gili Air. And on top of the aforementioned I love the fact that the people behind Slow Villa also care about environmental and social responsibility. Chapeau and keep going!!!

Sandat Glamping Tents: "Perfetto"

"Ho prenotato questa struttura un po' alla cieca ma mi è rimasta nel cuore. Sono rimasta colpita dalla struttura, sono rimasta colpita dal tatto e dalla gentilezza con cui lo staff ti accompagna in una realtà così diversa. La stanza è molto curata sia negli arredi sia per quanto riguarda la pulizia. Abbiamo alloggiato nelle tenda con piscina privata ed è stata un'esperienza unica poter sentire i rumori della natura all'interno di una tenda dotata di ogni confort. Ubud è vicinissima e il resort ha delle navette gratuite con cui raggiungere il centro. Il responsabile Kendu ci ha aiutato in ogni nostra richiesta e necessita..Impeccabile! MATHIS RETREAT: "Great views, great staff, great stay"

"Spent 5 nights here with our two kids (aged 2.5 and 9months) and thoroughly recommend it. Spacious rooms, beautiful views overlooking the rice fields, great pool, good food. Far enough away from downtown Ubud, but close enough to get there when needed. Staff couldn't have been nicer, and were more than happy to whisk our kids away to play - allowing us to relax at the end of meals. Thoroughly recommended. "

The Village House: "Love The Village House!"

"We have been to the Village House a few times. We keep going back because it is the perfect place to take in the Sarawak vibe. Beautiful rooms, great food (must try the Taste of Borneo tasting menu), but most of all a great group of people that run the place. We always feel at home and amongst friends while we are there. They can help you plan a day trip or a major excursion up the river to a long house. All in all, The Village House is a 10 out of 10. "

Les Maisons Wat Kor: "Calming and traquil setting"

Beautiful gardens wrapped around central pond/lake overflowing with blossoming lotus flowers ... truly beautiful. Salt water pool, good kitchen and friendly staff. Beautiful rooms but shower recess could be better. Photos evidence a visit by Brad and Angelina Jolie staying here ... this speaks for itself. Quiet retreat at the end of sometimes frantic days.

Slow Villas and Spa: "Fantastic"

"Wow, what a lovely place, we arrived early and were met by their very friendly staff who checked us in and let us use the spa to freshen up in as our villa wasn't free yet. It has a boho chic vibe about it and our villa was lovely, very clean, cool bathrooms, comfy bed, our own coconut grove (loved that) and a nice sitting area and perfect sized pool for a refreshing dip! For us it was in the perfect location, we're not really the backpacking sort so it was far enough away from the main harbour bit to be away from it all yet close enough to walk if we wanted to go to one of the beach clubs. Our favourite beach was on our side of the island just 5 min walk from slow down a path which had a couple of great restaurants on and was un spoilt and beautiful! Slow arranged for us to have a private snorkelling guide take us round all three islands, this was one of the best days Iv had in my life! Slow staff bent over backwards to make our trip great and we shall definitely be returning again!!! Oh and the breakfasts are so delicious, definitely the best breakfasts Iv had in Indonesia and in most places Iv stayed around the world!"
