Inle Princess Resort: "Lake Paradise!"

Review by: João Miguel C | Source: Trip Advisor
"Do not go to Inle Lake if you cannot stand mosquitoes, or if you think you are going to find an alpine lake, with crystal clear water. Having said all that, GO to Inle Lake if you want to experience the magic of a land of great craftsmen and wonderful cooks, where the temples are the most beautiful and the lake is just a means of transportation to many enchanted venues in the area. And if you go, stay at the Inle Princess Resort, where I had one of the best stays of my entire life, enjoying their super spacious rooms, with indoor and outdoor showers, great treats from the chef and of course, excellent breakfast and even better dinner. I cannot stress enough how well we were treated in the resort and how much I would like to go back. The property is the closest resort to the town of Nyaung Shwe, so the boat ride is fairly quick. Only in our last day did we realize that there was a road to town as well, but I sincerely believe, after a day full of activities, that your best bet is to relax in the pool area, enjoy the sunsets and have the best dinner at the hotel!"

Les Maisons Wat Kor: "This is it"

Review by: PamelaJoZag | Source: Trip Advisor
We so enjoyed our time here! Phakdey Chhun is the manager- and a more kind and attentive man you could not meet. The location is a little tuk tuk ride to the the city center, but Mr. Dan is awesome! Dan took us around - bamboo train and a pagoda with Khmer Rougevties. He was insightful and kind. The pool is amazing as well as breakfast. The little village outside the resort is worth exploring- the people are so kind and the kids are delightful. Tip: Buy some cheap toys and give them to the kids they just love it

4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Stunning!"

Review by: Frameworx | Source: Trip Advisor
We had a truly amazing stay here recently. You would never know that you were staying in a tent - they are luxurious, comfortable and well equipped. All of the people there are lovely and can't do enough for you. We chose to take the organised trip to the waterfall and we had a brilliant day. Our only complaint is that we didn't get to stay long enough. This is truly a piece of paradise!

MesaStila: "Exceptional experience"

Review by: InesandDaniel1969 | Source: Trip Advisor
Best of Central/East Java with no doubt. You can chill and relax enjoying a magnificent scenery of the nearby volcanoes and the jungle by the incredible pool, have the perfect massage at a top Spa and have your tea with cake in the afternoon at one of those amazing beds they have at the terraces overlooking the lawn, jungle and sunset. But at the same time, you can enjoy a tour at the Mesastila coffee plantation, a mountain bike tour through the rice fields and make it to the magnificent Borobodour Temple with an elephant ride included. All super nicely organised by the hotel staff. Finally, very nicely set for the children to enjoy too, pool table, chess, croquet for an incredible family holiday. Restaurant is good with best of Indonesia and some good balance with European dishes. No surprise service is at best. Would come back any time. Well done Mesastila.

Amata Lanna: "Gorgeous boutique hotel"

Review by: Louise B | Source: Trip Advisor
"We were moved here as they needed to check the electric shower in our other hotel. It is a gorgeous boutique hotel very beautifully decorated in old Lanna style Thai decor with ornate wooden features . The staff are very welcoming and you are warmly greeted and offered a welcome drink in the small reception area. The rooms are all set around a pool and there are lots of little seating areas and a cute little path over a pond to the toilet. The room itself was decorated with plush Thai fabrics, wooden artefacts and had a beautiful, huge bathtub, where you could enjoy a candlelit bath. I loved bed that the bath and shower products were in pot bottles with stoppers instead of plastic and there was a cute little elephant soap dish with an elephant soap inside. The location is close to the hustle and bustle and near the nightmarkets but the hotel offers a tranquil respite from all the noise. It was lovely to sit outside at night as the lights from the pool and the garden made it very peaceful. We had to leave for an early flight to the airport and the staff arranged a taxi and for mango sticky rice and coffee delivered to our room before we left. I would definitely stay here again."

Tugu Bali: "Quiet and Quixotic"

Review by: Lyndy S | Source: Trip Advisor
Happy greeting at the airport and then in true Bali fashion a journey of faith to get to your hotel, through by roads and back roads but was that faith rewarded!! Entering the Tugu you enter old magical Bali and it remains that way for your whole stay. Our suite, while expensive was somewhere we could hang out most of the day if we chose with our own little garden and swimming pool. The hotel gardens are beautiful during the day and enchantingl at night. The staff were, without exception, charming and helpful and yoga and the spa a real treat. Loved the food and had the majority of our meals in the hotel. Don't all rush as we want to go back when we can!!

Reverie Siam: "Absolutely Amazing"

Review by: Darrin_Hayward | Source: Trip Advisor
This is a hidden gem. Just had cocktails at sunset. Amazing! Staff is overly friendly. You feel like you're at a 5 star resort. If you want to feel like a king, stop by and check it out for a drink. And if you have the budget, stay here!

MAISON POLANKA: "Our favourite place ever!"

Review by: JB_and_MB_in_L | Source: tripadvisor.com
We have never enjoyed a place to stay - anywhere we have travelled - more than Maison Polanka. This is like staying in someone's home - or the home you might dream about having one day. With large, beautiful gardens and an elegant swimming pool, but only a handful of rooms so it's very peaceful never feels crowded even with other guests around. We also had the best Cambodian food of our trip in their restaurant, which is really just a few tables outside by the pool, but outshone anywhere else we ate. Off menu, they were kind enough to make a special noodle soup (nom banh chok) one day for us for lunch - it was delicious and worth making a special request for (in advance). We stayed in the Khmer House as a treat, and it was beautiful and spacious, though I think anyone would be happy with any of the rooms they have. But the best part of Maison Polanka are the people who work there who are warm, welcoming and willing to help with everything, from tour planning, surprise afternoon cakes by the pool, and a wonderfully memorable trip to the Road 60 night market for a dinner of insects, stuffed frogs and other more familiar foods! Our thanks in particular to Cathy, Chan, and Vong! Don't bother looking anywhere else in Siem Reap, just stay here!

Tugu Bali: "This is by far the best in Canguu"

Review by: debbie_sugrue | Source: Trip Advisor
"The Tugu hotel exceeded my expectations to say the least, its such a hidden GEM! I usually stay in Seminyak and wanted to venture to Canguu for a while, from the moment you walk in you feel the most incredible energy, it truely is a very Indonesian cultural environment. EVERYTHING I needed during my stay was provided, I am such a fussy eater and they outdone themselves at every sitting accomodating to my needs EXACTLY as I asked with a huge smile and no confusion.. so if you want five star service and clear communication this will be perfect. My laptop also had internet issues as I have a problem connecting to wi-fi everywhere, but here they even gave me my own modem to easily use the internet which I thought was just exceptional. I also cannot stress enough how amazing the rooms are huge and complete with - Here you see a perfect Blend, a private collection of hundreds of priceless antiques and artworks with majestic landscapes, history and culture of Indonesia. Stayed March 2017, traveled with friends"
