Maduzi Hotel: "Best small hotel in Bangkok"
"I visit Bangkok 8 - 10 times per year on business, and have stayed in most of the CBD hotels over the years. I am also in the hotel business, so I tend to be quite picky about room design, service, and F&B.. This hotel has it all: Great location 5 minute walk to both BTS and MRT, extra large well-designed room with separate entry foyer for privacy, large bathroom with big shower and jacuzzi tub, and walk in wardrobe. Original paintings and antique carpets for a decorative touch, Bose sound system for music or movies, in room espresso maker, and free mini-bar for snacks and refreshments. Common areas include a beautifully appointed living room which is the perfect spot for relaxing with a book - or meeting with VIP clients. The restaurant provides semi-private dining areas, separated by bookshelves stocked with books on design, culture, and history. Best hotel breakfast in the city - fully a la cart menu features a great selection of dishes from black truffle quiche to Japanese confit of rainbow trout to home made granola and yoghurt with goji berry sauce - served until 2:00 pm. Twenty-four hour room service menu is good quality and fairly priced. The highly efficient staff work well as a team (the sales and marketing manager served my breakfast twice) and are super friendly. Special mention to Khun Poom who seems to be everywhere at once and is a master at arranging ground transport or fulfilling other special requests. Staff English proficiency is substantially better than most hotels in Bangkok. Complimentary early check-in or late check-out upon request, a very competitive room rate, and perks for direct booking / returning guests - no other hotel in the city comes close in terms of value, ambiance, service, and location. Stayed January 2017, traveled on business"VILLA SONG SAIGON: "Great location and the service is first class"
"This hotel worked perfectly for us as a final day/night before flying home. It is a high end boutique hotel, at a good price, in a quiet location right by the water's edge. eating out by the water was very relaxing and although the hotel is on the opposite bank from the main tourist area you can have the best of both worlds as their boat service enabled you to easily cross over with the benefit of a free river tour...The rooms are of a very high standard and the icing on the cake was the standard of service. Whoever we talked to from the staff couldn't have been trying harder to help us. Additionally we had a very late flight out in the evening. They tried very hard to accommodate us having a room for an extended period. When this wouldn't work, as they were full, they provided us showers and access to a room to change in. You can't ask for more and if in Ho Chi Minh City again we will definitely be back. Thank you for making the end to our holiday so good. "Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Passionate guided tour"
I had an amazing time in the heritage site with superb commentary by the female owner sharing her real-life stories in conserving the place. It was engaging and insightful sharing. Thanks, I had a good and better understanding of the culture now. Give it a try, folks.SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "Destined to be Myanmar’s first Michelin star restaurant ?"
"Surely this must be the restaurant to put Yangon and Myanmar’s restaurants on the Michelin map! We dined in the beautiful surroundings and were truly amazed and delighted with a superb meal presented by chef Felix Eppisser and his team. In a country with no professional culinary schools, to create such an amazing menu and meal was simply incredible! We ate from the Elements fixed menu and every course was a true Star rated experience - We have been fortunate to eat in a number of Michelin restaurants throughout the last 12 months in both the UK and Italy including Le Manoir and the 3 Star il Duomo in Alba ( rated in the top 10 restaurants in the world currently)... this meal was up there with the very best! All of the staff were delightful and May our waitress and Felix”s wife Lucia looked after all guests ( and ourselves) with impeccable service. It was inspiring to hear how they are training the future chefs and service staff to capture the true essence of high quality cuisine - all being mentored and trained on site in the restaurant. When Michelin do finally find Myanmar, ( they have not yet ventured here!) I’m sure that this will be a Star contender and worthy champion for this amazing country Thanks to all at Seeds for a memorable end to our holiday in Myanmar Don’t miss the opportunity if you are in Yangon !"Yandabo Home: "Wonderful hotel that tastes like home"
Coming from the busy and noisy Yangon, spending two days in Yandabo Home makes you feel like in heaven. Beautiful rooms with a crazy chic style; very few places like this in Myanmar. One of the best trained staff in the country. Totally worth going!!!MesaStila: "The best and most RELAXING stay!"
This is my first time to Indonesia, and staying at Mesastilla has been the making of my stay. I have loved every part of the experience, and the best part about it all is that they provided me with guided access to so much of the surrounding areas. The real Java. We rode for miles and walked each day, meeting the locals and exploring the villages and mosques. I just loved the staff and especially the hotel manager and my personal trainer/guide. I also did the Java dance lesson and it was fabulous. Aside from all of that the spa rooms were amazing and I slept, ate and relaxed. I only had three days but it felt like longer. I am leaving tomorrow and will miss it all. I am definitely coming back and bring my friends and family.Rahai'i Pangun Wildlife River Cruises: "Orangutan spotting in comfort"
"Wow Borneo’s trip on their comfortable boat for three nights and four days gave us a real insight into Borneo, it’s jungle and wildlife. On spotting our first orang-utan we thought we were in luck but then to find 7 in a group was wildly beyond our dreams with them even coming to the waters edge for a closer inspection of us. A tree full of hornbills and 2 Proboscis Monkeys completed the talley for the day. On the last morning we were taken to a village only accessible by boat to be greeted by the Elder, Pak and a welcoming ceremony with children learning the ancient ritual. Pak took us to the jungle to see trees and spices growing, explaining their medicinal properties and the need to protect the jungle. We need more Paks to safeguard the forests and environment of Borneo. On the boat we were lucky to be the only guests and the staff looked after use beautifully. Meals were all freshly cooked using local delicacies and our guide was attentive throughout. The cabins are perfectly adequate, clean and comfortable. Take a trip with Wow Borneo now before the world finds this gem."Muang La Lodge: "2 jours formidables"
2 evenings spent in Muang La resort with my husband and our 3 children. Comfortable bedrooms, the hotel is a haven of peace ... months would have stayed longer. After several days of visiting nois recommend to stay 1 day 1/2 day quietly at the hotel to enjoy their facilities. In February pool a little cold but that's normal! No mosquitoes! Hot baths are absolutely idyllic! And meals are delicious and highly sought ...Slow Villas and Spa: "Amazingly relaxing holiday"
"We stayed one week at Slow Private Pool villas and had the most amazing and relaxing time; just what we needed. The staff went out of there way to help us. Slow has the most helpful and accommodating staff. The Slow Spa is wonderful. Gili Air itself is already a perfect island getaway with a tranquil vibe and Slow Villas only enhances that feeling. Fabulous holiday! We will certainly come back."Villa Song Saigon: "Great location, fantastic food"
Extremely well run hotel, the staff are outstanding. The riverside location is peaceful and stunning. Shuttle or boat to town if you want the bustle. Restaurant is good, but could do with less European dishes and more Vietnamese dishes. Breakfast is excellent, have the Pho.
