The Island Lodge: "Calm, quiet and very very nice"
"This is a secret paradise with french couple Michel and Francoise being the perfect hosts. Service is extremely friendly, present and polite. Rooms are clean and very very cosy all having a great view over pool and the river. "Satri House: "Unique hotel with lovely staff"
The Satri House is an unusual French colonial style property with lots of beautiful art pieces. The one downside is no TV if you require it. However there is a lovely sitting room with books. The breakfasts are beautifully made to order with homemade jams. The staff couldn't be more helpful. There are 2 pools and lovely beautifully tended grounds.tugu bali: "Relax in luxury"
"For a long weekend we traveled to Malang and Mt. Bromo. Hotel Tugu was very well maintained, but the superb service from absolutely the best Indonesian staff. All the meals were presented artfully with an excellent balance of spices. We attended the once monthly cultural dinner with a Central Javanese tale told with music and dance. It was a great experience. The couples 4 hour spa and romantic dinner was a great way to relax on our final full day in paradise. Couple you must stay here if you visit Malang! "Chakrabongse Villas: "A gourmet REAL THAI meal"
This traditional Thai décor restaurant near Wat Pho (Temple of the Reclining Buddha) on the Chao Phraya River has both indoor, air-conditioned, tables and, if the weather cooperates, outdoor tables. Reservations are a must, online if you like, as this pricey, high-end traditional Thai food service only serves 30 diners a night ! The menu is fixed, it's pricey by Thai standards but not foreign standards and it is well worth a special visit, romantic or best friends. Not suitable for young kids: no place to romp, lengthy multiple course service. The menu changes daily depending on what the chef can find, and you'll only be able to modestly substitute for allergies or strong dislikes. For those looking for exquisitely prepared Thai cuisine in a set menu, multiple course, fixed price dining experience you should not miss this wonderful food!Rachamankha: "A beautiful and peaceful Hotel"
"We stayed here for 4 nights on our 2 week tour of Thailand and thoroughly enjoyed it. The Gardens, grounds and communal areas are stunning, beautifully elegant and peaceful. Perfect for the romantic holiday maker. The pool area is also lovely although the water itself is cold even on a hot day, so we only ever had a quick dip before enjoying a cocktail on the comfortable lounges around the pool. The restaurant is superb. The food is delicious and the Beautiful Courtyard with it's elegantly decorated tables is a perfect place to enjoy a relaxing meal. The service was attentive but not intrusive and we never had to wait for anything. It seems the staff just knew when we needed something and we're there before we even had to look over from our table. Breakfast is also served at the restaurant and is of a really high standard. Everything you could possibly think of and more. Our room was a really good size and just Steps Away From the pool. It was really nicely lit and tastefully decorated with all the amenities you could need. Bottled water was plentiful and replaced each time the room with serviced. Bathroom products were replaced daily including the complementary insect repellent which was a nice touch. In the evenings the hotel grounds and buildings are beautifully lit to create a super romantic atmosphere. I would highly recommend this hotel to those seeking a little peace and romance. It's all so nicely situated near to temples, markets and other restaurants. If you are looking for an elegant stylish boutique hotel with beautiful grounds and excellent service, look no further. Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"Villa Song: "Absolutely worth a stay! One of the nicest boutique hotels and great service."
From soup to nuts, the experience was superb! Greeted by a big smile and by name upon reaching the check in desk. They were prepared. The room is beautiful and clean. Refill of the complimentary mini bar each day was a great added bonus and not expected, plus it ensured you had fresh water in the room. The pool area and pool was lovely and inviting. I spent more time in and around the pool than I do in most locations. So relaxing! It was nice touring during the day and completely relaxing when at the hotel. Breakfast time could be chosen all day -- another absolutely amazing and much appreciated bonus to this hotel. Loved the food and the setting out by the river was so nice. In fact, I imagine the food was so good that they ran out of a couple things I really wanted to try on a couple of occasions. The boat ride into town was unique and let you experience the quiet outside of the center when at the hotel. The spa/massage was fabulous as well. In short, no complaints. Highly recommended. I would absolutely stay here again!!! Another bonus: the cream puffs at the turn down service one night were delicious!!MRAUK U PRINCESS RESORT: "one of the best hotels in Myanmar"
"It is a bit tricky to get to the hotel but I really advise you to go by boat instead of the land route from Sittwe . You will disembark just in front of the hotel. The hotel has only bungalows . Nice garden with green lawns and ponds with flowers. The bunglow has huge bedroom and nice bathroom. The kitchen has excellent food. The service is fantastic and very helpful. I can really recommend this place in order to investigate all the pagodas around it. "Tugu Lombok: "Beautiful location, excellent service"
"Spent six nights at Tugu Lombok and can thoroughly recommend it. The beach location is fantastic and the staff at the hotel couldn't do enough for us. If you want a real get-away-from-it-all holiday it would be hard to beat, you can just enjoy the views, swim and laze. But if you want more activity you can go on excursions - the snorkelling trip to the Gilis is probably essential for most, but we did decide against the trekking! The rooms are amazing, we had our own 'bungalow' with a huge double bed, veranda for sitting outside and a small private courtyard if required. But best of all was the bathroom open to the outdoors! The restaurants offer great food and plenty of variety, and we must thank the staff for their friendliness, and helpful service, they made us feel very welcome. The last night send-off was most unexpected and touching. We've stayed in some lovely places but this is hard to beat. "Villa Song: "A very special place!"
"As many have said, Villa Song is a bubble of peace and tranquility in a chaotic and noisy city. I would thoroughly recommend it. The boat is a great way to get to the city. The room (Art Suite) was beautiful, with river views. If I was to be critical about one thing, it would be the restaurant menu. The kids menu was excellent, however the regular menu we found a bit strange. It was fusion-ish! Strange combinations. It all tasted pretty good mind you, but I would prefer to see more true Vietnamese on there. Personal taste perhaps. A real gem. We will be back for sure! Gareth."The Island Lodge: "Wow"
"We started our day with a jolt. We had asked for a bicycle tour in the Mekong area, and started on 1A, one of the busiest roads in Vietnam. That lasted about an hour, and we almost died several times from close encounters with scooters, trucks and the like. This is not what we had signed up for. After that, to end the day at The Island Lodge was like a bit of Heaven. The hotel was small, unexpected, welcoming and a haven of calm. I don't get the rating systems. This hotel is rated three star. I would rate it much higher. The next day we stayed at a three star in Vinh Long. What a dump that was. Going from Heaven to Hell. And kudos to owner Michel. We like wine with our meals. Good and reasonably priced wine is hard to find in Asia. Leave it to a Frenchman like Michel to have an excellent house wine that is both good tasting and reasonably priced. And the meals were very very good. We only stayed one night. We wanted to stay more (you have no idea; near death experiences engender an appreciation for the finer things in life) and will be back. If you have the opportunity, do stay here. Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"
