Tugu Bali: "Boutique Hotel in the heart of Canggu"

Review by: HKGexpat | Source: Trip Advisor
"We stayed here for three nights having previously visited the Lombok Tugu hotel last summer. The hotel is everything we have now come to expect of the Tugu brand. The staff are very well trained, very accommodating and very helpful. the rooms are spread out around the grounds in a series of old style Indonesian houses, with 1 or 2 upstairs apartments and 1 or 2 downstairs garden apartments depending upon which room you are allocated. We were fortunate in that we had an upstairs room in one of the smaller houses (only 1 room upstairs and 1 room downstairs). The room was well appointed with an enclosed balcony but one which had windows which could be opened to all the sea breezes to blow through. It exudes old world charm yet has all the creature comforts one expects. The grounds and communal areas are beautifully presented and stacked full of Indonesian antiques. The hotel offers a quiet oases of comfort within the bustling and vibrant Canggu area. There is a large lawned area adjacent to the beach which is where we spent most of our time during the day. If you have never been to a Tugu hotel, you will marvel at how they manage to blend the old ways and charm of Indonesia in with the modern conveniences required by the present day traveller"

Misool Eco Resort: "Mind Blowing"

Review by: Andrew H | Source: Trip Advisor
"This would have to be the best overall holiday experience of my life incredible diving and snorkelling a resort that doesn't just talk ECO but walks it in a big way lovely accommodation in a beautiful setting, you don't want to leave. Fabulous staff who really look after you ( get a massage) the food is excellent and they will do something special if you don't fancy anything on the menu. Room Tip: the rooms on the side of the island where the restaurant is save walking."

Amata Lanna: "Beautiful"

Review by: Ranga7 | Source: Trip Advisor
This small hotel is just wonderful- made of teak wood, it is traditional in style with all rooms centred around a beautiful courtyard with a swimming pool. The rooms are large and well appointed. We arrived on a cool day so the large spa tub was a delight for a warm relax. The staff are just delightful and helpful. The breakfast was absolutely gorgeous. There is the choice of shrimp or pork rice soup, or a western breakfast, as well as options for toast and fruit and juices. The mango sticky rice was a highlight and the coffee fabulous. We walk a lot, so we found it easy to walk to the old town (20 min), and the river is closer as is the Night Bizaar. The Anusan market is just to the north of the hotel- we found this a great walk through to the old town. Adored this place, highly recommend it and would stay here again.

The River Resort: "Magical Mekong River views – with good food and a spa!"

Review by: Ann B | Source: Trip Advisor
"We stayed three nights at this lush and green, rather smart resort, arranged for us by Selective Asia. Our family villa room was upstairs, with a balcony and absolutely wonderful views over the Mekong. Great to watch the fishermen at sunrise from the balcony or from bed, with a cup of tea made in our room, or enjoy a drink from the minibar listening to the crickets as the sun set. A magical spot indeed. You’ll need your anti mosquito lotion for sitting out in this location, but the resort villa rooms have good nets and our room was realatively easy to keep mosquito free! We ate at the hotel open air restaurant every evening and found plenty to choose from, with a good range of western and Asian options. We enjoyed all our meals, and service was excellent. Breakfast was good too, but we would have liked some more bread options as well as the rather sweet slices there were to toast (e.g. brown?) - but maybe that’s not available at this slightly remote location. One of us had a massage at the spa, which was great and a lovely option to have right on site. Hotel provided us with a boat crossing to meet our guide at the opposite river bank, which was ideal and very prompt and comfortable. We also had laundry done, which was not expensive and very convenient. Sadly we didn’t get chance to use the free bikes. All in all a wonderful spot and a lovely exclusive hotel, and we loved having it as our base for exploring the Mekong River and the nearby Wat Phou UNESCO Site."

Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Top Class Place to Stay"

Review by: 686caroline | Source: Trip Advisor
Stunning hotel. Nothing is too much trouble. Beautifully clean, wonderful food. If you have a bird watching tour ask for Hari, he's an expert and a wonderful guide. We stayed in room 13 which was the lodge Princess Anne stayed in when she visited and we loved it.

Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "We found perfection"

Review by: Marc C | Source: Trip Advisor
"If you want a perfect place this is it. Very nice bungalows (only 6) perfect service and outstanding cooking. Basically it is strctured as a foundation (non profit). The bungalows and restaurant finance the integrated tourism school dedicated for students of a poor financial background. Since 2009 48 students yearly can learn all the basics in tourism. A splendid idea. It is worth to pay the price just for all theses reasons. Additionnally they do whatever they can to respect the environment. And all the food comes from their organic garden. Don't miss this place Stayed August 2016, traveled with family"

Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Magical"

Review by: emmacave | Source: Trip Avisor
"We lived in Nepal for many years and now visit quite regularly. This has and will always been one of our most favourite spots thanks to Marcus and his team as well as it's most lovely location above Pokhara, in the hills with fabulous mountain views and walks. The local staff are a delight and nothing is too much trouble. The atmosphere is informal and comfortable. The rooms(with attached bathrooms) are tastefully but simply/appropriately decorated and with very comfortable beds. The food is now exceptionally good and there is a choice of meals, which are either enjoyed alone or with other guests and friends. Computers and phones are discouraged in the main reception/dining/living areas which is a breath of fresh air! We spent five nights there on this visit(post high altitude trek) and walked every morning with one of the lodge naturalists, whose knowledge , particularly of the birds, butterflies and trees is exceptional. The local villagers are very welcoming. Thank you all! We will be back!"

Tugu Lombok: "Amazing"

Review by: Leesa H | Source: Trip Advisor
"My husband and 10 yr daughter visited this hotel for 5 days in April 2016. We arrived by boat on the shores of the hotel's beach. Our first impression was complete joy. The hotel manager was down to meet our boat with in moments. 'Elly', the manager, greeted us with a big smile and gracious welcome. They took our bags and Elly led us to the beautiful pool side restaurant where we enjoyed a complimentary cold drink and cold towells (scented with Jasmin). She told us all about the hotel and gave us a quick orientation. We were quickly taken by the gorgeous artifacts & structures surrounding the hotel grounds. Our room was gorgeous. The ceilings were high. The bathroom was well stocked with everytjing we needed. They had set up a separate, lovely bed for our daughter. The rooms had all the comforts you could require - stocked fridge, mosquito lotion and nets, earplugs for the early morning Muslim prayers ( which I love btw!) The hotel supplied kayaks and snorkeling gear (through we brought our own). The snorkeling was great here. The water was crystal clear and blue. The food here is incredible. Some of the best Indonesian food we've had anywhere. The drinks we all freshly mottled and cold! The art and acitecture of the entire hotel is memorizing. The staff was all very happy and very friendly, and always available. Elly organized an incredible waterfall hike to Mnt Rinjani for us. This was a highlight of our 6 week stay in Indonesia. The hotel's beaches are full of treasures from the sea. I even found an unbroken urchin shell. There are 2 amazing pools. Both very clean and cool. The entire experience of our stay at Tugu in Lombock was nothing short of wonderful. We hope to return there one day. We loved Tugu!!"
