Villa Song Saigon: "Relaxing 2-night stay at boutique"

Review by: sfalbie | Source: Trip Advisor
"We enjoyed our brief stay at VS. The staff was genuinely friendly and helpful. A bulleted summary: Pros: onsite spa (for such a small hotel), staff, number of guests/rooms, location away from congested and loud central HCMC, food, water taxi (albeit operating times), grounds Constructive feedback: elevator (4 stories), water taxi (limited to 9a-6p from hotel), buffet breakfast (ala carte portions large if want to sample multiple items)"

Muang La Lodge: "Accueil exceptionnel"

Two fantastic days in quiet (so that we remained asleep despite the programming of a tour!) Pay attention at all times to us, an absolute detail care, fine dining, baths at 40 degrees. .. From relaxation pure!

Tugu Malang: "Two nights in Malang to climb Mt Semeru"

Review by: AlanMichaelWard | Source: Trip Advisor
"I'd previously stayed here in 2015 and was aware of their leisure activities programme as the objective for this visit was to climb Mt Semeru (3,676m), the highest point on the Indonesian island of Java. My colleague and I were warmly welcomed by staff and allocated an upgraded room which was much appreciated. Whilst the heritage hotel is very well laid out with lots of antiques and memorabilia, this would count for nothing if the staff weren't up to looking after guests to a very high standard. I've stayed in many great hotels around the world but the Tugu Malang is included in my top 5 hotels in the world. The trekking arrrangements were satisfactory but for various reasons we didn't reach the summit but if we try again we'll allow for an extra day for this. The catering here is exceptional with variety and quality spoiling guests for choice. I can highly recommend this hotel!"

Hotel Tugu Lombok: "Lombok at its best"

Review by: michelmontreux | Source: Trip Advisor
"Rooms can be beautiful, beaches pristine clear, food excellent (and all of this was), but what makes an hotel stands out from the rest is its staff! I do not know when and if I shall return to Tugu Lombok but it has made a mark in my travel experiences! Everything eas just so perfect and the last night surprise when we returned to the room way so thoughtful. We just felt genuinely welcomed as guest and not just customers! We leave this hotel with a feeling I have very rarely felt in all my travels! Thank you Tugu hotel Lombok"

Rachamankha: "Superb hotel"

Review by: Bobtdiver | Source: Trip Advisor
Built in the style of an colonial residence, beautifully laid out, lovely rooms, super-helpful service - loved it. Lovely pool to hang out by. Restaurant was superb (and not too expensive). Would stay here again!

Rice & Zen Boutique Resort: "Idyllic"

Review by: l0uisekane | Source: Trip Advisor
"This is our second time that my family and I have stayed at Sea Dance, Koh Samui and I can say with much sincerity that Poy and his wonderful staff have outdone themselves yet again. We stayed 3 years ago whilst still having that familiar feeling, Poy has added a lot of extra features to make our stay even more memorable. First of all, there were lots of familiar faces amongst the staff who made sure our children had enough to eat whilst our hands were always holding a delicious, refreshing cocktail. Thanks Kwan you are the best. The addition of the international menu ensured all our families taste buds were met. The buffet breakfast was awesome with so much choice with the hot food cooked in front of you. Secondly, the welcome addition of fun and friendly Faith ensured all our needs were met finding family entertainment for our children. For us, the location is idyllic being 350 meters from the main road you are ensured that your stay is a peaceful one whilst being surrounded by a secluded beach which makes it perfect for snorkeling and canoeing. The view of the ocean from the main pool is stunning with the water splashing gently against the oceans rocks make it a great back drop for spectacular sunsets. We stayed in a lovely villa with a plunge pool which was perfect for our family. The villa was spotless with housekeeping making sure it was clean every day. Thank you. A particular highlight was the band that played on Sunday afternoon whilst we ate a delicious seafood buffet. The atmosphere was amazing great tunes, and company with great cocktails. The band continued on into the night singing songs from all eras. For us, Sea Dance is a home away from home where you are treated like family and always feel so welcome. We will definitely return. Stayed April 2017, traveled with family"

Le Du Wine Bar & Restaurant: "Lovely service, imaginative food, and great attention to detail"

Review by: sr201753j9 | Source: Trip Advisor
"I read an article about Le Du and was intrigued by its promise of elevating Thai style food. I have been in Thailand for several weeks and have enjoyed the food but not been blown away by anything that I have not tried before until tonight. We elected the 6 course tasting menu. This is really a bit more than expected because there is an amuse bouche and a fruit plate that is not listed. Server was Erica who was warm, attentive and knowledgeable. The dishes range from sea bass, river prawn, aged beef, pork jowls and a sustainable fish. Each was presented with a lovely Thai inspired sauce and accompaniment. While all the dishes were terrific in their own way, our favorites were the pork jowls an the sea bass. The lovely staff recognized my husband's celebration of his birthday with an extra dessert. So what would I say could be improved: the beef dish was the weakest in that while flavorful, it was a bit chewy. I did not observe the concerns voiced by other reviewers as a high noise level, or feeling of being rushed. We were dressed in a neat manner and felt welcome. We thought the bill was reasonable for this type of meal. Yes, there is a service charge but the charge is 10% which in our opinion is low for the amount of service and 50% of the expected tip in the US. I did find the reservation system challenging. I made a reservation for one evening, and then realized we would be open earlier in the week and tried to change the reservation. I sent an email, and initially, did not get a response. The hotel clerk called for me and changed the reservation, But I received no confirmation of change. This is partly my fault because the hotel gave the name on my passport which is slightly different ( nickname versus formal first name) that they did not recognize as the same person. We called again, confirmed and a few hours later I received a change of reservation with right day, wrong time. 2 more calls and 3 emails later, it was cleared and confirmed. So lesson learned; choose the time you want on the first try. Also, the location is a little tricky. It is in a a Soi or a little alley. So leave a little time to find it."

Tugu Bali: "A Hidden Gem – Romantic and Relaxing"

Review by: Shellec | Source: tripadvisor.com
We had a wonderful stay at Tugu, Bali whose mission is to bring back to life the art, soul and romance of Indonesia and it certainly does. It was by far my favourite hotel on the island. There are so many wonderful historical artefacts on the property, we really enjoyed wondering the hotel to look at them and learn about some of Bali's history. The hotel’s theatrically large entrance lobby creates an impression of grandeur. While there are plenty of unique areas to enjoy a romantic breakfast/lunch/dinner. What I loved about Tugu was the friendly staff and the attention to detail. Staying true to the romance element, when our room was turned down, beautiful poems were left by the bed with an array of fresh local flowers. The bath in our suite was incredible and the flower petals added to the ambiance. For Honeymooners and anyone looking for something a little bit special -Tugu is a must!

Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Authentic Khmer dishes in wonderful setting"

Review by: Springhil | Source: Trip Advisor
Well reviewed by many travel writers, we chose this and booked months ago as it is very popular and the owners do close the restaurant for weeks at a time. Tasting menus A and B which you can try one of each as a couple - superb. We chose the fan cooled upper floor rather than the AC ground floor that catered more for those that wanted a modern restaurant. With the windows open even on a rainy evening, it was fresh and lush. Food was fabulous and really tested our understanding of Cambodian food. We were welcomed by Carole and her chef husband visited each table when he brought the fruit selection that ended each menu and you had the chance to talk to - a lovely personal touch.
