SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "Great food in a lovely location"
A comfortable, modern interior with funky sculptures and lots of light. A gorgeous lake view and terrace to sit and enjoy a pre-dinner drink. Delicious food and knowledgeable, attentive service. The genuine hospitality of Lucia and Felix. And it is truly vegetarian friendly. We let them know beforehand that I am vegetarian and without asking, the amuse bouche and other little extras that came were all vegetarian, which was very much appreciated. A really lovely evening in a special place. Well worth it.Heritage Suites: "Still excellent"
"I returned to the Heritage hotel one year after my previous stay almost exactly to the day. It's an outstanding hotel truly qualifies as a boutique hotel This time I was given a bungalow and my reaction to this upgrade ( low season) was WOW,what amazing room the best hotel room since a stay at Amanpuri in Phuket. The size of the room is fantastic, the living room, of course the bathroom including a steam room, etc etc Outdoor showers The pictures say what I can not say in words I have a comment to make, I was told the hotel has new ownership and a new manager is soon going to arrive. I only recognized one person Mr Han I hope there's no deterioration of an amazing property I highly recommend it, best hotel on this trip that covered 5 countries in SE Asia"Rakkojae Seoul: "Ticked all the boxes for us"
"Thank you Mr Kim for a wonderful stay in your beautiful 130 year old Korean house. After visiting the National Folk Museum (15 minute walk), I felt like we were staying in one of their exhibits. Just the same – amazing. The location at Jongno-gu was perfect as we are into history so we could walk to the two main palaces, as well as Insadong. Meyongdong is just a short taxi ride away or the metro just 5 minutes’ walk. Also the Airport bus is just near the metro Anguk. There are lots of restaurants around, the difficulty is choosing which one. The underfloor heating was very warm and the beds on the floor very comfortable. The Korean bath was a unique experience to us Australians. But the most amazing part of our stay was the Korean breakfasts – both very tasty and something different every day – YUM. We used the sauna once, and it was hot, so if you are into saunas you will be very happy. We only lasted 10 minutes. The service was never intrusive, just a little hello, and someone popped out to see what you wanted. Mr Kim was always willing to help and make suggestions. Access was very easy, but you really have to phone ahead to announce your arrival to get through the front gate. We had our taxi driver call ahead and Mr Kim was waiting outside. Once you have the access code, you can come and go whenever you want. You can also pre-order dinner which we did on arrival night and we were presented with an amazing feast – really a mini buffet of Samgyetang Korean Ginseng Chicken and all the side dishes. An excellent idea after a long flight from London and transfer through the Seoul traffic. Again thank you Mr Kim and your wonderful assistant who made our stay at RakJoJae very comfortable."Sandat Glamping Tents: "Loved it!"
My boyfriend and I decided to treat ourselves and try glamping. We absolutely loved it! We stayed in a rice hut (Barong) and it was amazing. Staff were really friendly and always happy to help. Although the location is a little far out, the shuttle service acted like a personal driver for us! The road leading to Sandat was a little bumpy, but not a big issue at all. Breakfast was great as well. The whole experience was lovely and the quiet of the surrounding rice fields really made out stay more relaxing. The only drawback would be the wifi which was a little temperamental.Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "Unexpected luxury"
"This is a lovely boutique hotel that sits on Inle Lake. The service was wonderful, the staff friendly and helpful. All of our meals were included in the price of the room and the food was excellent. Our room opened onto the lake - very peaceful and the room was luxurious. The hotel has a program where it is training young men and women to work in the hotels with tourists. The student's education is at no charge. In addition the owner is trying to reintroduce Bumese cats into the country. About 39 cats are maintained on the property in a very nice inclosure. We opted for a guide, Min Min Tun, mmt.inle12061977@gmail.com, to shows us around the lake. We found this very helpful as it enabled us to see more then the usual tourist spots. I would return to this lovely place again and again. Room Tip: All the rooms are excellent"Villa Song: "Colonial luxury at a reasonable price."
"We stayed at Villa Song for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and efficient, giving tips about taxi scams to avoid and guiding us to very good excursions to both the Cu Chi tunnels and the Mekong Delta. There is a complimentary private water taxi from the hotel’s jetty into the centre of Ho Chi Minh city which made the journey much quicker, more scenic and gave a touch of exclusivity. The hotel is well appointed, our room had a river view and was really quite big. It had all the things you’d want as well as a lovely view of the river. The hotel itself is very attractive, in a colonial style with a sweeping staircase and plenty of airy space. The pool is a good size (perhaps 25m) and there is plenty of loungers etc, thick towels and an adjacent gym. Although we didn’t use it much the fact that the mini bar was complimentary was a nice touch. My only criticism would be that the laundry service was unnecessarily expensive with it costing over 1 million Dong to have a few shirts, shorts and underwear washed and pressed. Admittedly we did use the express service but it just felt like it was more expensive than it needed to be, especially in a place where you’d want to wear an ironed shirt and shorts. I must point out that the cost of the service was clear before we used it with a full audited list completed by the guest and the hotel, so there were no surprises. The restaurant has a very nice set menu or a la carte although the set menu didn’t change over our three night stay. We ate there twice and enjoyed the food both times. We also ate in the restaurant of the hotel next door which, whilst it was nice, was not of the same quality (or price, quite a bit cheaper) and the service was a little rushed. My wife used the spa and felt her pedicure was well done and good value for money. All round I’d say if you like a bit of luxury and are happy to pay for it you’d be hard pressed to find a better location than Villa Song and I’d happily go back again another time."Maison Polanka: "5 star done right"
Maison polanka is a 5 star done right. Stylish rooms in an intimate atmosphere with attentive and friendly service. The art works and the furnitures in the Khmer house were gorgeous, and it was a class apart from anywhere I have stayed in the region. The room is huge intact and we appreciated the large shower area with lots of rooms for the clothes to be hanged and lots of space for personal belongings. Everything was spotless on arrival, including the common areas. The food was excellent. The hotels location which is just within the city. Yes the road is bumpy but you will find a haven at the end of the pagoda. Thank you to everyone involved in making our stay so pleasant.Slow Villas and Spa: "Wonderful time"
We stayed more than one week at this amazing place and enjoyed every moment. The privilege to jump inside the pool from bedroom door is just fantastic. It was an unforgettable stay for us and if I could I would come back one day!The Hue House: "Ich liebe es"
"Ich liebe das Gericht hier so sehr!!! Alles sehr Kultur und Gaumen:)! Gegrillte rinderhüftsteak mit Huesate ist sehr begeistert mich!(Salat, sauer Karotten,Stern früit,gemischt Gemüse und Reife Bananen in Reis Papier rollen). So amazing! Außerdem das view ist voll natürlich, man kann vier Seiten von Saigon umschauen und Sonnen genießen. Werde mich nochmal kommen, ich bin der Koch auch. Vertrauen mir und versuchen sie mal wenn sie Urlaub machen!Bitte vorbei kommen!"Rachamankha: "Well design secret hotel"
Very good place to relaxing. Nice swimming pool, kindness staff, and well design environment. Full of ancient boutiques furniture in the hotel. A nice place to make you feel peaceful. Superior room is small/simple. Although the electronic device in the room is old, I will still recommend this hotel, because of it's really beautiful.Travel Asia with Secret Retreats
