We are travellers who enjoy the splurge when it's worth it but never like to return to locations we have previously visited (the world is just too big). Tugu is one of those places we would love to visit again though, if only for its uniqueness. One of the first things you'll hear on your intro is that Tugu is not for everyone and this is the kind of thing that makes me happy on holidays. Who wants to spend money to get holidays that are "for everyone"? In Tugu you will be taken care of individually. We stayed 4 nights at Dadap Merah on the Retreat package and definitely recommend the package to all. The room is unique and -frankly- perfect. "This is the kind of place which seems to lift you to another plane of existence while you are there. The utter comfort, the calm, the wonderful food, the great service and unique surroundings come together to propel one to a new height. It is evident that the French couple -with Vietnamese roots -who run the place pay extreme attention to detail and quality in all aspects. With a limit at about 25 guests in all, the residence's spacious area facing the Mekong is suffused with a warm and personal atmosphere from an excellent staff. The Sukoon houseboat is a super luxurious and comfortable houseboat. We had a wonderful time. The staf is super, very helpful and were really taking super good care of us. The breakfast on the sundeck was an absolute highlight. This houseboat is a bit away from the overcrowded part of the lake so you can really enjoy the beatiful view on the lake at sunset and sunrise!Mekong Villas: "Hidden Gem"

This hanok is very beautiful. I had a peaceful moment when staying there. The food is delicious and the host are very helpful and nice. He is a good English speaker, it is easy to communicate with him and he is always in quick respond. The first time to visit this fine dining of French cuisine and had excellent food and wine and cheese. It is a bit noisy as there is a party at one end . They said since it is raining they had no other place to accommodate them. We must say this is the best french food in the city so far. When the rain is over it will be a nice experience to sit outside on the bank of Inya Lake. Only if they have better music and curtains and drapes to absorb the noise, we will be delighted to enjoy a fine dining.Villa Song Saigon: "Heavenly place!"
Excellent option when visiting Saigon: you have the dynamism of one the most vibrant cities of Asia with the quietness of the hotel by the river, Villa Song. Service was excellent (recommending the Vespa Tour and some outstanding restaurants). I will come back for sure.
