Tugu Lombok: "Magnificent, Fantastic, Private"

The staff and service is amazing. The look and feel of the resort is unique and very beautiful. They have two swimming pools and the bigger one has a beautiful view and is big enough. The rooms are decorated very well and fresh flowers are placed in the rooms. For a peaceful getaway, I would surely return here.

Cuca: "A must when in Bali"

Food is prepared with love n is very delicious. Every dish is,good. Service is excellent. Ambience is good. The chef really takes pride in the food and restaurant. Best of all price is very reasonable.

Muang La Resort: "Relaxing setting, great food and lovely staff"

We spent three days at Muang La resort. We went in the low season so had the resort (10 room resort) to ourselves. We had a river view room (highly recommend) and we could hear the relaxing sounds of the river flowing outside our room. The resort has two elevated hot tubs, using water from the hot natural springs. We enjoyed a Lao massage too.  The resort is set on the river, which is constantly used by the local villagers to fish and bathe.  We organised a couple of excursions once we had arrived. This was probably easy for us to do as we were the only residents.  The food was great. Every night there was a five course set menu based on local Laos cuisine. Breakfasts were great, with tropical fruits, divine home made yoghurt, croissants and scrolls, as well as eggs as you like them. Nothing is too much trouble. Everyone is very friendly and helpful.  The village of Muang La is a little difficult to get to but worth the effort. I am happy to recommend Muang La.

Tugu Lombok: "Awesome"

Lombok is a fantastic mix of warm people, wondrous scenery and amazing sea life. Stay at the Tugu and you can add fabulous staff and service with a wonderfully quirky resort. A great destination complimented by a resort that exceeds expectations highly recommended for all types of activities.

Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "Fantastic place & staff"

"French word : ""Le meilleur endroit pour dormir SUR le lac, et le meilleur restaurant de la région"" We were originally staying 2 nights, but ended but cancelling a night in Nyaung Shwe to spend an additional one at Inle Heritage. This is hands-down the best hotel (& restaurant) I've experienced in Myanmar. It is not the most luxurious, but it's not the point here. The rooms are beautiful, decorated with taste, eco-friendly. Only 6 bungalows, perfectly maintained, making the place a haven of peace in the evening. It might get busy at lunch and in the afternoon as tourists come to eat and visit the place. They probably have the best restaurant in lake area, and they also have burmese cats, endemic fish aquariums, cooking classes, homegrown vegetables etc. Basically the place is also a foundation : eco-friendly hotel, burmese cat sanctuary, and a school training students for hotels and restaurants. A portion of everything you pay here (hotel, restaurant, not sure for the souvenir shop) will go to the foundation. Breakfast is fantastic : real bread, real croissants, no wonder why all the customers were French :). Restaurant is great as well and serves fine cuisine (Myanmar/Thai style, homemade recipes, and a couple western dishes). Had one of their specialties, some simple fried rice and a so-classic Chicken Sandwich, all 3 were just perfect. Their ""pancakes"" are more like French crepes rather than US pancakes, taste great ! Girlfriend got sick on first day here, and stayed in bed the whole day while I left to visit Indein. The whole staff took care of her, from the cleaning ladies to the Chef preparing a special meal, and the manager checking on her every couple hours. Staff has been fabulous. The souvenir shop is nice as well, they seem to have superior quality stuff and pretty much everything you'd need. Consider checking it as you might find better stuff than on Inle markets / temple shops. You may find more luxurious places on Inle, but you will end up in resorts. It will cost more, and there will be 30 or more bungalows which won't always be in good shape. Honestly, if you want to be ON LAKE, go straight for Inle Heritage, forget about the lake ""resorts"". It is true there is some noise because of the boats going around (can start early in the morning), but keep in mind this will happen anywhere as long as you're staying on the lake. Okay, maybe a swimming-pool would be cool, but that sounds kind of stupid when you're actually on a lake (would not recommend swimming in the lake though). Maybe if they can make some eco-friendly pool, idea for the future :) We were kind of sad to leave Inle Heritage, I'd honestly would have stayed there for a whole week. Manda De Laos: "Amazing"

It blew my mind! On top of a picturesque setting, food was beyond compare. I would pick it over and over again.

MesaStila: "A hidden treasure"

MesaStila wellness spa is an ideal getaway from the daily routines. The environment is pleasant, the view is gorgeous (I got a direct view of mount Telamaya from my villa), both the management and the crew are fully client service oriented and there are ample of activities prepared for guests throughout the days to keep us occupied, and the daily yoga classes is the winner for me.

Locavore: "One of the best meals we have ever had"

Exquisite 7 course (+ more!) meal, where our nosy eyes got to spy on all the kitchens goings-on. A must visit for anyone looking for a completely unique and flawless dining experience. I won’t divulge too much, just go.

MesaStila: "Colonial charm fantastic place"

Great place to explore central java, borobudur, prambanan etc. Estate build in colonial times is perfect getaaway from the city. Nice touch with heritage style villas. Coffee plantation tour is fun and informative, get freshly ground coffee as well. Nicely nestled amongs the mountains with spectacular views, infinity pool and a massive spa for those who like to indulge. Food is decent with good mix of western and local food. Great coffee cocktails! Service is also very very good extremely friendly staff.

David’s Kitchen: "A delicious dinner"

My wife and I visited David's Kitchen last night for the first time since we moved to Chiang Mai a few months ago. Our only regret is that we didn't visit earlier! Everything about the evening was excellent - the quality of the food, the wines available by the glass, the friendliness and professionalism of the staff, and our chat with the proprietor David (who then followed up with an email of thanks this morning). We look forward to returning to experience the re-modelled dining room.
