Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Best Meal – Must Eat Here"
"Spectacular experience! Food, setting, service - all were perfect. The chef really draws on Cambodian flavors and seasonal fruit and vegetables, and combines them in an impeccably thought-out menu. The fish and seafood dishes were particularly delicious - although we loved everything we ate. You could easily pay three or four times the price for this standard of menu in the US. I cannot recommend Cuisine Wat Damnak highly enough. They were very accommodating of my pescatarian diet. And it was such a charming and relaxed dining experience. Ps. Opt for the fan seating rather than the A/C as the fan seating is in the more charming upstairs of the restaurant. Make reservations at least a few weeks in advance. I would also recommend the tamarind collins if you would like a cocktail with dinner."satri house: "Beautiful rambling villa; separate colonial-style buildings; beautiful decor; attentive staff; lovely manicured grounds"
We visited this hotel and were favorably impressed. The public areas and spacious, airy rooms were beautifully and characteristically appointed with furniture, furnishings and artifacts from Laos and surrounding countries. The hotel is situated at the edge of town but an easy walk into the center for sightseeing and dining. The staff we encountered were pleasant and cooperative. Relatively recent modernization means up-to-date facilities which make for an enjoyable stay. The photos on the TripAdvisor website provide a very good visual tour of the establishment.Sea Dance Resort: "Outstanding service, gorgeous resort."
"We have just spent 7 nights at the magical Seadance Resort and it was superb. We originally booked for 3 nights and fell in love with the place, so we decided to stay for longer. Even after a week, we didn't want to leave. A huge thank you to Poy, the lovely owner, Faith, Helen, Guy and all of the wonderful staff at Seadance for making our last week in Thailand so special. The staff are incredible, so helpful, so friendly and they are what truly makes this Resort stand out from anywhere else we have ever stayed. The accomodation is fantastic, we were lucky enough to stay in Villa 5. The views were beautiful and it was so private and peaceful. Seasalt Restaurant at Seadance is incredible, the food is first class, with a huge choice of Thai and western cuisines. The cocktail list is very extensive and they sure know how to make them. They also have a very impressive array of high quality gin, and thanks to Poy, we are now converts. The breakfast was really yummy, a perfect amount to choose from and they make the best cappuccinos we had in Thailand. The resort is only a 10 minute drive away from busy Chaweng beach, if you feel the need for nightlife and crowds. The big Buddha pier is only a short drive away and a 30 minute boat ride to Ko Phangan. We highly recommend Seadance and we can't wait to return. Thank you again to the beautiful staff, you guys are awesome!!"Locavore: "The best restaurant in Indonesia"
After 7 years living in Indonesia I would say that this is probably the world's best restaurant of Indonesian cuisine and Indonesia's best restaurant. Aspirational, creative, sophisticated, surprising ... and truly local. This is not a copy of something else.Mathis Retreat: "Great views, great staff, great stay"
"Spent 5 nights here with our two kids (aged 2.5 and 9months) and thoroughly recommend it. Spacious rooms, beautiful views overlooking the rice fields, great pool, good food. Far enough away from downtown Ubud, but close enough to get there when needed. Staff couldn't have been nicer, and were more than happy to whisk our kids away to play - allowing us to relax at the end of meals. Thoroughly recommended. "Villa Song Saigon: "Villa Song"
We really loved this hotel, the location, the staff, the rooms and the food were all fantastic. The regular boat shuttle to the centre of the city along the river was also a real plus. Great stay, would go back and would recommend it to anyone.Mudanwan Villa: "Relax"
"Here is completely relaxed did not control a parked five hungry have food do not be afraid to ride a bicycle can go to the beach Pool Spa can also let you enjoy fishing "The Island Lodge: "Lovely and quiet stay on a poetic island in the Mekong"
"The island Lodge is a secret hidden in the heart of the Mekong Delta on the Unicorn Island near My Tho... The hotel is facing the river , accessible by boat for day trips around from a pier right in front. Very quiet, it's a place to relax, bike around the island, enjoy the spa and the food, walk in the garden or the many fruit plantations around. An escape from a city... without being far away..."David’s Kitchen: "The best restaurnt we’ve ever visited"
"My husband and I love trying out the local fancy restaurants when on holiday, but fear we might have peaked at David's Kitchen! We still have 2 weeks of our Thailand adventure but doubt anything could better our amazing night this evening. The transport is lovely, private AC transport in a nice car. Extremely warm welcome from the very lovely staff. Lots of personal touches on the table, e.g. our names, an anniversary card - there is so much thought and detail given to each table! The lovely owner, David, is walking around all night chatting to the guests. He does this all 6 nights the restaurant is open, so must love his job!! He has really interesting stories to tell so definitely engage him in conversation :) The menu is amazing, we spent a good 20 minutes deciding what to eat as it all sounded so good! The cocktail menu is extensive and includes a fab mixture of classics and signatures, and are extremely well priced. The food was amazing too and very fast service, but we never felt rushed. Even though we were both so full we had to squeeze in dessert as we were enjoying the food so much! We asked David about his chef and were kindly invited into the kitchen to meet him! We've now got a great picture with David and all the team we'll never forget :) And the icing on the cake was being presented with a beautiful bunch of roses to celebrate our anniversary :) the evening, food and service was absolutely fantastic and perfect. It was one of the best nights of our lives and will certainly not be forgotten! Thank you to David, your lovely wife and chef, and all of the team for a perfect evening."Tugu Lombok: "Simply the best"
The best hotel we have ever been to (and we have been to a lot of 5 stars). Wonderful for honeymoon and any romantic vacation! Simply perfect! A spa with the best massages and treatments ever. One little minus for the fitness room, which is really nothing in comparison with the wonderful rest. Beautiful property, great beach, amazing food. You will regret not having seen this hotel, honestly.
