Talabgaon: "Treated like royalty in a royal palace"

"The first thing to say about reviewing Talabgaon Castle is that in order to differentiate these 5 stars from any earlier 5 star reviews, I should probably go back to the others and knock them down to 4 stars ... its just that good. The setting, the staff, the food, the amenities, the service ... all were top notch. We (as a couple) spent two nights here in January 2016. The staff were awaiting our arrival, and cool drinks and towels provided after the couple of hours drive from Agra (it is closer to Jaipur but we were going the other direction). Our bags were taken swiftly to our opulent room on the ground floor, and soon we were eating our first meal. This being the 6th day of our first trip to India, staying generally in upper market accommodation, we have become accustomed to good Indian food - but this took it to the next level. Flavours literally bursting. (...) For our final morning, the hotel staff set our breakfast table out in the courtyard of the gardens. In a nutshell - if you're able to stop over here ... even if its a little out of the way ... then do so. You will I am sure be as surprised, impressed and amazed as we were."

Tugu Malang: "A stunning boutique hotel"

"This is my favourite hotel in this city, come here around 3-4 times. Full with antique items (like poteki puppet dolls, or old chinese porcelain etc), the hotel even provide a free tour for guest to visit their biggest suite and another romantic spot in hotel ground. And the rooms in hotel have different theme (only the basic one that don't have that kind perk) Breakfast is indonesian cuisine also afternoon tea also, blended with traditional snack. It comes with a price tag, not heavy for western standard, but yes higher than the rest of the other hotel in malang. "

Maduzi Hotel: "Worth every cent"

Stayed here for 4 nights. Despite noise coming from the roads outside with Hawkers peddling their street food, the hotel remain very tranquil and peaceful. Love their unique breakfast (not buffet style). Location wise, it's is within walking distance from Asoke BTS and Terminal 21. Just walk through exchange tower to get on the pedestrian bridge. Room is spacious with an extra large bed. However personally I would prefer firmer pillows with support. Otherwise, nothing to dislike about this hotel. Would definitely love to stay here again for my next trip to Bangkok.

Mrauk U Princess Resort: "The best resort in Mrauk Oo"

You can't go wrong by booking a sister's resort of internationally acclaimed Inle Princess Resort. Great bungalows, friendly service, nice atmosphere. Definitely exceeds expectations for such a off the beaten track destination as Mrauk Oo.

Sea Dance Resort: "Great value, great service"

"My girlfriend and I stayed at Sea Dance for 5 nights and had a great time. The service here is nothing short of excellent. Since it's a smaller resort, they get to know you by name and quickly learn all of your preferences. We stayed on Koh Samui for 3 weeks at 5 different places (mostly 5 star) and this place had the best service hands down! We loved the restaurant and ate every meal there during our 5 night stay. The fish tacos and all of the Thai food were outstanding. I would also recommend doing the cooking class here. It is a personalized session where you can pick the dishes you learn. We will definitely be making Thai food at home after this class! Overall, I would recommend this place."

Rachamankha: "3 nights in paradise"

My husband's 85 year old aunt and her daughter stayed at Rachamankha for 3 nights this August while they were visiting our family and my husband's mom in Chiang Mai. They loved loved the hotel. They appreciated the serenity and the architecture of this hotel. They said the service was perfect. Every morning they would tell me what they had for breakfast which was scrumptious. They also ate all their dinners there and enjoyed sampling Rachamakha's Thai food. It was a dream come true for these visitors to stay at this hotel.

Manukan Island Resort: "10 idyllic days in paradise"

"Hillside villas: fantastic, bright, airy, separate bedroom and lounge, satellite tv incl movies, huge bathroom with waterfall tap over bath, good warm showers, lovely little touches like slippers, bathrobes, 2 complimentary waters, 2 cokes, and 2 sprites per day. For cheaper and no steps the beach suites are newly renovated, very nice, a couple of minutes walk from the private beach area, 5 minutes walk max from restaurant, view nice but is on edge of busy public beach. Wi-fi was assigned to each room and worked all the time for me. 27 rooms/villas total now. Beach: We stayed on private beach for 10 days - wow! Gorgeous, soft white sand and lovely warm sea, palm trees full of coconuts, views of the rainforest, sunsets, monitor lizard takes a nightly swim. The beach is cleaned immaculately daily. But the seabed does need to be cleaned more from odd bits of rubbish - we mentioned to Ben, the Manager, who is talking with Sabah Parks about it. It did NOT put us off sea swimming. Facilities: huge varied breakfast outside with fans, we had all meals outside with fans - perfect, even on the beach! 16 choices on the menu but Joey the chef made a different vegetarian menu for me every night, at a very good price, our maximum bills were 65MR pp for huge buffet , most meals were less than this, even with starters. We spent under £300 for the 10 nights on food and drink! A bargain. Alcohol expensive, as per Borneo. This is indicative of the personalised service at Manukan - everything is possible, just ask! Quiet bar, pool area very quiet but nice, small parties come for an evening meal from the mainland some nights. 3 piece acoustic & bass band serenade you every night too. Staff: EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE. Friendly, not intrusive, really care about all the clients and their happiness. Small and informal with very high standards of cleanliness and service. Thank you Ben, Welther, Joey, Sabre, Frederick, Yazid, Shima, Jessica, the new Mazilla, Nora, the band,.... The monitor lizards are safe and lovely to watch, hardly any spiders at all, but we used lots of deet against the mosquitoes (not too bad) and sand flies. There are mosquito plug-ins in the villa and a coil is lit at the evening turn-down service so you can continue to sit on the balcony at night. Things to do: we went on a day trip to Kota Kinabalu to see the City Mosque and do some shopping in one of the malls. Management and reception will arrange a boat at a good price 65 mr pp return (£13) or you can use the public one, slightly cheaper. It is only 10 minutes. From Manukan - There are watersports - thankfully they go offshore so it is not noisy, the sea-walking looked amazing, trips to other islands, snorkelling trips (there are not many fish jsut off the beach in comparison to the Maldives but other guests said the 3 island trip was good for fish). Cafe and shop run independently too if you need, but Manukan also sells the necessities, toiletries, drinks, crisps, beer in their shop too. A longer stay, 10 nights, allowed us to really appreciate this island. We had been to Sepilok Sanctuaries and also Turtle island before and were glad to have such peace in magical surroundings. The River Resort: "Many reasons to come, no reason to leave"

"We stayed in The River Resort mid July 2017, as the starting point of our Laos trip that took us up north from there. Great, nicely decorated bungalows with terrace or balcony and grand view over the mighty Mekong. Two swimming pools. A good restaurant serving a wide variety of local (and not-so-local) food. All set in a wonderful and well maintained tropical garden. Great staff that helps you with anything and more - like lending you bikes or fixing you a trip to a nearby or far-away site. Yes - the place lies somewhat remote from the obvious track; getting there needs some planning. The hotel can help you with that! Yes - nearby Champasak is a hamlet and everything is hamlet there; no fancy stores and no nightlife. You won't miss it, sitting on your balcony looking at the river and the sky over it! Yes - it's an expensive trip to those Mekong falls (some 100 kms south); once there they charge you for almost every step you take around the place. You'll forget this once you stand on a ridge watching a billion liters of Mekong water cascading down! The River Resort is not just a place to stay - it's an experience! A perfect start for a Laos trip, or as an ending as well."

Tugu Bali: "A+ Service. Beautiful Rooms"

So happy we found this beautiful hotel. We were blown away from the moment we walked in. The staff was delightful and very welcoming. The rooms were absolutely stunning, huge comfortable bed, gorgeous plunge pool, excellent AC, luxurious Balinese tub, and beautifully crafted local furniture and art. We also took a cooking class while staying, it was lovely. We'd recommend skipping the market visit, it was a long drive for such a quick stop. Regardless, it was a great way to spend one of our mornings in Canggu. We made enough food to enjoy for lunch and dinner. We definitely enjoyed our stay!

Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "beautifuly untouched island"

we spent 5 nights in this beautiful island. We had a great adventure including excellent meals, great snorkeling in Sourin, swimming, sun bathing, day trips in the island, kind and helpful service, meeting and fighting new creatures and more. this is a true pearl outside the "wrong path" of tourism.
