Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "Paradise"

Review by: karinagillibrand | Source: Trip Advisor
"This is Thailand's best kept secret. Charming and secluded and really really well run by Massi, the hotel manager. We were in heaven and are dreaming about our next visit. No tvs, no air conditioning, running water that smells a little due to minerals, but none of it matters when you are at the golden Buddha because you are drawn into a Robison Crusoe fantasy that you seldom find anywhere these days. Lots of nature and very little to do except enjoy the surroundings. Stayed April 2017, traveled with family"

Tugu Bali: "3 days at the end of 2 weeks in Bali with our daughter and 2 grandchildren"

Review by: stevealt | Source: Trip Advisor
"Very interesting layout. Our suite was on the second floor with a huge Japanese style tin bath and great ocean view. Very rustic appearance, but with all modern conveniences. Our daughter's suite had a plunge pool and koi pond. The best aspects of the hotel were the perfect service, and the large grassy lawn space next to the beach. By the second day the wait staff knew us by name. Be sure to try one of their many specialty prix fixe dinners. Not much to do outside the resort, compared to other areas of Bali, but that's OK."

Tugu Bali: "Hotel with old charm"

Review by: TravelSelfies | Source: Trip Advisor
"Hotel Tugu Bali is located on the shores of Canggu Beach at one of the most romantic places in the island. We stayed here a few nights over the Nyepi day, which is the Balinese day of silence and it was an incredible experience. The staff members have done everything to make this time pleasant for all the guests and we immediately felt like a part of a family. The mission of Tugu luxury art hotels is to bring back to life the art, soul and romance of Indonesia's long forgotten years. The hotel owner is an antique collector for many years and all the priceless pieces of Indonesian antiques and artworks are beautifully positioned around the hotel, blending perfectly with the hotel ambience. From the moment we arrived, we were pleasantly greeted by the hotel staff members. They send a car to pick us up from our previous hotel with delicious fruit baskets to enjoy during the ride. A lovely touch! So, from the moment we arrived to the hotel we knew that this would be an unforgettable experience. The hotel manager took us around the hotel and explained us about different antiques and all the special pieces that the hotel possess. At the lobby entrance you stumble upon an impressive wooden giant Garuda, which was carved from a 120-years-old tree. Around the grand lobby are tropical gardens with beautiful lotus ponds and small paths that leads to the resort villas. We stayed in spacious Rejang Suite, which was located on the upper floor of a charming Javanese house. The suite had dark timber interior and was decorated with different artworks. The room had a working area, separate shower and bathroom, a big carved four-poster bed, a terrace with a private spa area and a unique sunken bathtub with amazing views over the Indian Ocean. A dining concept at Hotel Tugu Bali is completely different than in any other hotel we have stayed at. You can choose to dine whenever and where ever you like. We usually had our breakfast in the lobby with lovely view of the garden. The breakfast was a la carte and the food was delicious. They also served the high tea with different sweets every day. In the evening we have planned a romantic dinner Picnik in Bed, but because it was raining, we had to move it from the beach to the 300-years-old Bale Sutra Temple. We felt like a royalty sitting at this big table where many, many years before the royal Balinese kings had their dinner served. Amazing! Hotel Tugu Bali is a special place, it gives you the real Bali feeling. So, if you are looking for an authentic and luxurious hotel in Bali, this is a place for you."

Le Du Wine Bar & Restaurant: "Worth seeking out"

Review by: slmaleski | Source: Trip Advisor
Glad we found this! We stumbled onto Le Du on our way to another restaurant where we had reservations. It looked so interesting we made a reservation for the following night. Choose options for each of the four courses. Each is creative and well prepared. A modern take on more tradtional thai ingrediants with a french influence. Each dish is complex and the server carefully explains what is being served and how it was prepared. They offer wine flights, go for it. Each wine was perfect with the food that it accompanied. Hard to have made better wine selections. A generous pour of all four wines (four courses) unlike many wine flights. Easy walk from skytrain staion Chong Nosi. My ONLY critisism is that for the thrid course they only have one option that does not have a surcharge. It was fantastic, but would have liked at least one more no sur charge choice.

Bassac Cruises: "Entente cordiale"

Review by: CPH19592013 | Source: Trip Advisor
"This was a beautiful one night cruise at the end of our trip to the Mekong Delta. We transferred from Cai Be jetty by small boat to Bassac I where we were introduced to the boat in perfect English by Thuc. Our cabin was as expected small but cosy with a double bed and aircon and the luggage quickly became invisible under the bed. After a drink, our fellow passengers arrived 4 French, 2 Swiss (French speaking) and 2 English. Everyone got on very well and there was much laughter with respective groups trying out their English and French speaking! The food was good throughout. The service was great and the ambience on this wonderful wooden boat was relaxing. Trips off the boat x 2 were very interesting and fun and made the more so by Thuc! We would highly recommend this trip for rest and relaxation and plenty of watching the world go by as you cruise the Mekong."

Jing’s Residence: "The best hotel we stayed in China"

Review by: David A | Source: Trip Advisor
"Stopped here for 2 nights during our tour of China. The hotel is in the centre of the walled town. If you arrive during the day no traffic is allowed on the street so you have to walk with your suitcases a short distance. It was the best hotel we stayed in during our China tour. From the welcome where we were met with refreshing tea and honeyed dates, to the the room off a courtyard which was sumptuous and pure luxury, to afternoon tea and the staff who were service personified. We were in room 107. A large luxurious room with separate shower room, a large bed on a raised bed to look like a futon everything was just right. Each afternoon tea was served, a choice of tea with a selection of sweet things and fruit. A chance to sit quietly away from bustle outside and relax. There was a ground floor restaurant and upstairs a bar, lounge and library. The best aspect was the service. From the resident man@ger who clearly kept a tight rein on all that happened to each member of staff it was exemplary. Don’t take the word of those of us who’ve reviewed and been here go yourself it is a brilliant hotel."

Definitely one of the best fine dining restaurants in Taiwan. Good service. Good value. Good presentation.

Locavore: "A great dining experience"

Review by: Joe F | Source: Trip Advisor
I NEVER take photos of food. I cannot say that anymore. I took photos of every course and even the drinks. We had dinner there. Choice between 5 and 7 course meal. We went with the 5 course and worried that our 20 year old son might be hungry afterwards. First of all, it is not a 5 course meal - there are lots of other mini courses. And our son was full. Try the drinks and unless you need to pair wines with your food, keep to the drinks which are very good. You have a choice between meat and vegan meals. And we split it between our group of 4. One of the best meals we have had in a long time. Very good service too. Make a reservation online ahead of time to ensure being able to go there. For 4 people including drinks, around $75 per person which really is not bad for a meal of this caliber.

Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Heaven on earth"

Review by: Amber E | Source: Trip Advisor
"Having trekked for six days in the hills, Tiger Mountain Lodge was exactly what we needed. We arrived and were immediately offered refreshing drinks whilst sitting on the veranda looking at the stunning scenery. The view was incredible every single day and it was magical to sit out over breakfast and just see the mountains in the distance. The staff were on another level. They were so attentive, willing to do anything (which included making endless amounts of popcorn) and really professional. They knew exactly when we needed something and were polite and chatty. The rooms themselves were fantastic, the beds really comfy and the views stunning. The bathrooms too were much appreciated and the showers were very welcome after the hills! The food was five star: every day was something different and the breakfast especially wonderful. As a vegetarian, they were very accommodating. (...)It really is a place like nowhere else."

Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Fantastic Stay"

Review by: n16williams | Source: Trip Advisor
"Four of us stayed at Neeleshwar over the new year period. Staff are amazing and the spa fabulous. The resort does its best to make your stay peaceful. The pool is a very good size and the beach breathtaking. Our cottages were beautiful, clean and in very good condition. We absolutely loved the seafood restaurant on the beach. It is an adult environment so sometimes noisy children can distract from this. The resort probably needs to be MORE clear with parents that only well behaved children and parents who take responsibility for their children should stay here."
