4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Fabulous Eco-chic"

Review by: PateLisbon | Source: Trip Advisor
"Magical stay at 4Rivers floating lodge at Tatai river. The eco resort is beautiful and lovely settings. The private tends are well appointed, with air conditioning and toilet. Although, during the night the electricity went down a couple times. Take the waterfall tour with picnic and go and enjoy a pure natural environment. The resort is located in the middle of a private natural reserve , 6h from Phnom Penh and 5h to sihanoukvillle. The place is truly magical and if you want a real peaceful experience to relax from daily stress, this is the place to go. Restaurant menu limited but very good. The wifi exists but it's limited. There's also DVD and books available to guests. You could swim and jump from your tend directly to the river. Water is mixed (fresh and salt) and it's secure (no crocs) although it's impressive to swim without seeing the bottom. There's only 6 tends on each side, with magnificent jungle view which gives you a sense of peace and tranquility. Our 2 days stay was memorable and magical. We are a family with teens and they loved this resort. Stayed April 2017, traveled with family"

Neeleshwar Hermitage: "I’d give it six stars if I could!"

Review by: Einon_E_Mouse | Source: Trip Advisor
Stayed for seven nights in January 2017 after a mammoth ‘Golden Triangle’ tour in the north. In summary, I’d have to say that it’s a beautiful, relaxing hotel made extra special by the staff, who were unfailingly happy, welcoming and helpful. The resort itself would best be described as barefoot luxury - this isn’t a place to come and dress up for dinner, and all the better for it. If you want to truly relax in beautiful surroundings with attentive staff, this is the place for you. As we’ve moved to another so-called 5-star resort not 45 minutes away, we’ve begun to appreciate the Neeleshwar’s unique brand of laid-back, relaxing luxury even more. The rooms themselves are lovely - spacious, full of natural materials (including a coconut palm in your open-air bathroom!). I agree with other reviews that suggest tea-making facilities in the room would be beneficial, but the verandah service also meant that you could phone for tea/coffee and it was delivered to your verandah in minutes - at a cost of around 400 rupees/£4.50 for two people, often accompanied by cake or cookies, so the hotel is certainly not over-charging for the service. The grounds are beautiful - it truly is like walking through a tropical jungle to get to the pool/beach. The pool is stunning - large, quiet, plenty of loungers, no noise! Food in the two restaurants was faultless. Try the aloo gobi, if available - it certainly shames the mush we get served in Indian restaurants in the UK. The spa and treatments were both excellent, and reasonably priced. Again, the spa is not one of these with annoying chill-out music on a perpetual loop, but total silence - so peaceful! There are some local attractions, but we found it hard to pull ourselves away from the place - the furthest we ventured was an hour on the complimentary bikes to visit the fishermen hauling in their catch. Please also visit the shop early on in your visit - it’s not one of those typical hotel gift shops selling tat, but it actually has some really nice, reasonably priced items that you’d actually want to buy. Not to mention a tailor sitting there amongst bolts of material, happy to run up anything from a pattern or your measurements as you choose the fabric. Go visit - you won’t be sorry, and we usually avoid this type of thing like the plague. My final comments are reserved for the staff - I don’t know how they select them, or what training goes into making them what they become, or whether they’re all just naturally lovely people (probably), but they’re probably the nicest staff we have ever come across, and you can see by my reviews that we’ve stayed in some world-class hotels (I offer this just as a comparison, not a boast!) - these are the nicest people we’ve ever met in a hotel situation, and they go out of their way to ensure you have a peaceful, happy break.

Rahai’i Pangun: "Reece trip on Katingan River & Sebangau National Park"

Review by: lisbet848 | Source: Trip Advisor
I was lucky to be part of this 5 days Reecee trip - a trip that hasn't been done before. It was very very well organised and the many transfers between the lovely Ruhui Rahayu river boat and the small canoes that brought us along the small black water tributaries, all went smooth. Staying in the stilted house on the black water lake, Danau Bulat, was great. It was wonderful to get special food treats from Ruhui Rahayu brought the 1 km into the lake. The highlight of staying in Sebangau National Park at the WWF lodge was great. So was trekking at night to set the photo trap. Sailing further into Sebangau National Park on the Panggu Alas black water river to the lake with the same name was equally exciting. A wonderful trip. Lisbet (Denmark)

The Cabochon Hotel: "Stylish Boutique hotel"

Review by: Ruppen | Source: Trip Advisor
In the middle of Bangkok we found this stylish Hotel in an old Colonial style Building. The staff was very friendly and after running around in Bangkok the Swimmingpool on the rooftop was a blessing. The room was huge and the furniture very stylish like the Hotel. A must stay for people who like to be in the middle of this city and want to enjoy the amenities of a quite Boutique Hotel. A lot of good Bars and Restaurants are just around the corner.

Villa Mathis: "Magnifique et magique"

Review by: Jerome J | Source: Trip Advisor

Yandabo Home: "Don’t just go for 1night"

Review by: grahamb56 | Source: Trip Advisor
Great hotel and an imaginative way to help regenerate the 2 local villages. The rooms are built to a very high standard, with filtered water at the taps, wet rooms and some of the largest beds I've experienced. Great food for dinner and breakfast...right by the river...you'll love it!

Inle Princess Resort: "Extraordinary for Myanmar"

Review by: drl_smit-may | Source: Trip Advisor
"Luxury tourism is new for this country so I don't expect things as to be as good as Thailand. This is one of the two best hotels in the entire country. The other is the Governors residence in Yangon. This Hotel has five-star accommodations and five-star service in everything except the restaurants. The restaurants are four star. Unfortunately I was not able to get a lake view room but my Gardenview room was beautiful. Had an awesome massage at the spa.The staff could not be more accommodating. Recommend this as the number one hotel to stay at in Inle lake. Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"
