Cuca: "You MUST eat here!"
The foodie experience at this restaurant was the best I've ever had. The Bali Breakfast is the dish you must experience - I say experience because that's exactly what it is; a visual and taste sensation.Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "Honeymoon Highlight"
"We booked the luxury tent as part of our honeymoon. From pick up to drop off everything was 5 star! We had the most fantastic time and staff went the extra mile to make our stay extra special. The room itself was magnificent and we adored being able to shower under the stars. Everything about the room has been carefully thought out and lovingly handmade. The bed was extremely comfortable and we felt safe and secure in the tent. It felt like a tent from 'Harry Potter' as from the outside you would not expect them to be able to fit in so much luxury. The food! Every day we were greeted with a delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner. We even had private dining under the stars and a cookery lesson. I think my favourite had to be string hoppers and the coconut pancakes. Let's not forget the Safari. We managed to see a total of 5 leopards! (a mating couple, a very large male eating a monkey and a mother and cub on our last day!). Praneeth was our guide and he was very knowledgeable. A big thank you to everyone for making it so special, we will remember it so fondly and really hope to come back very soon! Emma and Matty"MesaStila: "Unique and absolutely magical place"
This place is very special, a collection of beautifully resorted traditional Java buildings, set in magnificent grounds, with the focal point being a grand, old Dutch plantation house. The staff are wonderfully welcoming and attend to your every need - you are truly pampered here. Meals were an absolute delight, all made with fresh, organic and locally-sourced ingredients. Our room was huge, beautiful and full of character - especially the amazing mosaic bathtub that could easily have fit three people! You will leave feeling blissfully calm and pampered. Very highly recommended and many thanks for a wonderful stay!David’s Kitchen: "Best Restaurant in Chiang Mai"
My fiance and I went to David's Kitchen on our honeymoon and had one of the best meals of our lives. When we arrived, the owner, David was waiting there to greet us and was one of the most personable, kind people we have ever met. This restaurant is truly his passion and it shows. The service was impeccable and the food was unique and delicious. I can't say enough about this wonderful establishment. If you have one might out in Chiang Mai, please find your way to David's Kitchen. The River Resort: "Beautify spot"
"We enjoyed 4 wonderful nights here, good food, lovely staff and first class facilities. The views are amazing and the rooms well designed and spacious. Loved the choice of indoor or outdoor showers. Sitting in the garden enjoying an evening drink was magical."Locavore: "One of the best restaurants in Bali"
In short, Locavore is one of the best restaurants in Bali and in Indonesia. Just fantastic on every level and it offers some unique dining experiences. It really is a fun and interesting restaurant with a cool atmosphere. The food is delicious and it manages to tickle all your senses and taste buds. The only option here is the tasting menu (5 or 7 dishes) as there is no a la carte menu as far as I know. All the dishes were unique and creative and combined modern cooking with local and traditional cuisines. I think my favourite was the “Let’s call it a ceviche” fish dish and the “Into the sawah” duck egg dish. Both looked so beautiful and tasted terrific. In short, we all very much enjoyed our dinner here. The only thing that disappointed me was a cocktail that I had ordered, because I think it contained too much bitters. I couldn’t finish it. The food and presentation was amazing though. So, I think I’ll be back when they change their menu.Jing’s Residence: "Fantastic Hotel! Fantastic Service!"
"We decided to visit Pingyao based on Lonely Planet recommendations (Pingyao is famous as a walled city and well-known for its local goods). So glad we did! This hotel was the best during our China/HK holiday. It is an oasis in an otherwise dusty and remote location. The room and facilities is top notch although don't expect to watch TV as there is none except in the guest lounge. You won't miss it though as the hotel offers spa treatments; noodle making and paper cutting classes. We were able to relax in the guest lounge with complimentary afternoon tea. All tea and delicacies (we had eight bean treasure one day and a type of porridge the next) are locally produced and were delicious. The restaurant is great for both breakfast and dinner with a wide selection available. Loved the scrambled eggs Chinese style on a bed of steamed rice for breakfast. Personal service and attention from all the staff is second to none but especially from the resident manager, Imam, who is outstanding. He was always available to assist or ensure our needs were being met and popped up magically as we would pass through the lobby area. On our final morning of our stay he took us on a personal tour of a ruined courtyard giving us a tremendous insight into how the locals lived many years ago as well as escorting us to a local shoe manufacturer. We would definitely stay here again and the hotel and friendliness make this place worth the detour to Pingyao itself! "Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "Very enjoyable stay"
We stayed here as we were wanting to stay somewhere environmentally aware & we were very happy with the camp etc. The meals we're fantastic, the chef was really to be commended he did a fabulous job. The one observation I would make is that the safaris are focused on finding leopards as you would expect, so if you are interested in viewing other animals speak up. Overall a great experience.Heritage Suites Hotel: "Fantastic hotel with wonder staff!"
"We cannot praise this beautiful hotel enough. We were there celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and the hotel gave us a lovely bottle of prosecco and flowers. They also upgraded us to a lovely bungalow, which was amazing. The staff were so attentive always opening doors for us, bringing out an umbrella when we get out the taxi in the rain; it made us feel very spoilt. It was a little way from the main area for eating in the evenings, around Pub Street, but a tuk tuk was very cheap at only $3. If you want to stay in a boutique hotel with the very personal touch then this is a definite."Rak Ko Jae Seoul: "Serenity personified"
This was a beautiful experience of a tradition Hanok in the heart of Bukchon. The property is intimate and secluded, with only a few 'rooms' placed around a small central courtyard. Every detail carries style and has been carefully set out to create an escape to a simpler past. The underfloor heating made sleeping on the floor surprisingly comfortable. The service was unintrusive, helpful and gracious, breakfast and dinner served each day with Korean hospitality of generosity and flair. We loved everything about Rakkojae. The location so close to some great historic sites, galleries and design spaces was a bonus!
