David’s Kitchen: "Sublime"

Review by: Bauldric | Source: Trip Advisor
I assumed any restaurant in Thailand called David's would be french considering. I was a bit surprised when I met David as he met us at the door. I won't let my expectations ruin yours. He was so delightful on so many levels. But that was was just the meet and greet. The waiting staff were absolutely fantastic. Their english was wonderfu and the service was very very pleasantl. But the food. The food was fantastic.I would have to rate this as one of the best meals of my life. From the moment it starts to the end, everything is just little bits of perfection. I would dearly dearly love to live just down the road.

Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Peace and tranquility"

Review by: JESSICA A | Source: Trip Advisor
Beautiful, beautiful, rural location. You feel completely out of touch of the modern world and utterly in touch with nature and your surroundings. Amazing spa, best massages of my life and beautiful products to be bought here. As a real yogi I loved the yoga on the beach every morning free of charge! The food was delicious and the staff were so accommodating to my slightly poorly stomach (from previously in my trip) and made me food of the menu to keep me perky!

The Island Lodge: "Unexpected gem"

Review by: Peter H | Source: Trip Advisor
I signed up for a two day tour of Mekong delta and the itinerary simply stated that we will stay in a boutique hotel in the delta. Well, this place is special. We arrived by boat and was immediately immersed in a paradise environment. It is located on the banks on Mekong (one of the rivers of the delta) and it is surrounded by lush landscaping. I took advantage of many bikes they provide and biked around the island, which was very easy trip because of the flat profile. The hotel itself is superb in their services, perfect pool, excellent restaurant and very helpful staff. I felt like in Marguerite Duras' novel for fantastic 16 hours. The only drawback was that I could stay only for less than one day but it was worth it. I need to come back and stay longer, I simply loved it.

Cabochon Hotel & Residence: "nice experience in the 1920s…."

Review by: Lou S | Source: tripadvisor.com
"First time to stay in a hotel with 1920s' French style, the place is elegant and feel like home. So different from Bangkok , feel like a secret garden. Like the desk lamp design in room and wooden floor is nice.."

Slow Villas and Spa: "Best place on gili air"

Review by: 54Sam | Source: Trip Advisor
Such a beautiful looking place in a quite part of the island, this resort is full of lovely little details that make your stay so special. The whole team are there to help you and every thing you need has been provided. The villas are spacious and luxurious, you could easily stay for days and I wish we could have stayed longer! We visited as a big group and had so much space to spread out! Such a great place to stay, can't wait to get back!

Glenburn Tea Estate: "Truly worth the back breaking journey"

Review by: ranjanapte | Source: Trip Advisor
"We travelled from Pelling to Glenburn and the journey to put it mildly is HORRENDOUS. ""Roads""""do not exist and one can feel the bumps in every corner of your body. The last 45mins to an hour is equally bad but the place more than makes up for the travel hazard. Faye and Will (the outgoing Managers) take great care of your every need and the service is extremely personalized. One is not rushed into doing anything, whether it be food timings or day trips. Ranjan Chhetri the local manager is gracious and feeds you with anecdotes of the surroundings. We stayed at the Rose Suite which is well appointed and has ALL creature comforts besides truly living up to its name!!! We ere also lucky to meet up with the estate manager Mr Hussain. He regaled us with stories of the region where he has spent more than 26yrs. The common dining area is a good meeting point fro all the guests but one also has an option to dine in your room with silver service. A must visit again place. Excellent collection of books and magazines to read. No television in the room is a great boon. Kindly try and do something about the road to and from the property."

Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "history"

Review by: MarkW1960 | Source: Trip Advisor
"If you want that historical experience then this is the place to get it. there is no luxurious Hilton Hotel room but the charm & historical feeling is all worth it. The room is enormous & the bathroom although has modern shower taps the decor is from the era long gone. service is great & the food was good as well. Breakfast was included & consisted of buffet of fruit & cereals & a la-cart hot breakfast & first time I had a hotel say to me after I had finished my breakfast ""have you had enough, would you like some more?"" The house is also a museum & has daily tours & is very interesting to learn about the history of the house. its close to a lot of attractions including the wharfs & a short distance to all the famous Panang street wall paintings & art. Stayed December 2016, traveled as a couple"

Sea Dance Resort: "Friendly paradise"

Review by: cKuny | Source: Trip Advisor
"We' ve been there for couple days. Bungalow, breakfast, pool, beach and staff-everything was perfect. We never had such a familiar feeling with the staff. They were so friendly and interested in our belongings. Exceptional was Dani from the front desk. Thank you seadance for the perfect time! Christian and Maike"

The Island Lodge: "What a fantastic find"

Review by: Eric E | Source: Trip Advisor
This place is amazing. The rooms, gardens, views, food, and above all the staff are amazing. I'm happy to have found it and sad I wasn't there loger than one night. There's not much to do, but if you're looking for Vietnamese hospitality with a touch of French luxury, go here.

Villa Song Saigon: "How Hotels Should Be"

Review by: Groover1964 | Source: Trip Advisor
"A mini break for 4 nights escaping the winter in Perth, Australia. Villa Song lived up to its #1 ranking on tripadvisor. Villa Song is a world class boutique, luxury hotel experience at less than the cost to stay in a country motel in Australia. From the glorious large river room with tall ceilings and colonial touches to the rain shower and crisp white linen the room delivers everything a weary traveller could possibly want. Fast free wi-fi, check. Free mini-bar, check. Free a la carte cooked breakfast, check. Individual coffee maker in room, check. So called 5 Star hotels could do well to introduce some of these features. The staff were polite, helpful and everyone from the pool to the front desk made us feel like welcome guests. The luxury (free) powerboat shuttle into the city is an absolute stroke of genius. A 20 minute relaxing river journey delivers you into the heart of HCMC and rescues you again when you are ready to return. All the convenience of a city centre hotel with none of the noise and chaos. It's hard to fault this place. The restaurant is good if you don't want to explore the other (many) local options, but not as outstanding as the rest of the hotel. If I were to be picky, there is no lift and if you are staying on the top floor, there is an easy 3 flights to help you exercise off your last meal!. I will stay here again, so should you."
