Labyrinth: "An eye opener"
The food you see is not what you get. The food come with a twist and it is indeed gastronomic adventure for you. I love how the plating is done for each and every dish, and how Labyrinth new Singapore local cuisine into a whole new level. Service staffs were friendly and helpful, the kitchen staffs prepare the food and I love how the food mix together to create a new taste. They definitely deserve the Michelin star!Rachamankha: "Wonderful stay in this unique and beautiful hidden gem of a hotel!"
"We arrived at Chiang Mai airport really early after a very long journey. We were collected by the hotel staff at the airport and swiftly driven to the hotel. We were given an early check in, which was a lovely gesture, especially after such a long journey! We had booked a deluxe room, which comes with a lovely four poster bed. The room is beautifully decorated, has wifi and air conditioning and all the amenities you might require. Very comfortable bed and a quiet part of Chiang Mai. The hotel is very beautiful and based on the old Lana style of architecture, it consists of a series of interlinking courtyards, the whole hotel is very quiet and peaceful and a wonderful retreat away from it all. It really feels like you are stepping back in time when you stay at this hotel. Breakfast at the hotel is very nice, staff prepare you freshly pressed fruit juice, there is a nice menu with a good variety of eggs, pancakes, waffles and omelettes. The restaurant has an indoor portion and a beautiful peaceful outdoor courtyard, you can chose to sit in either of these areas. We had dinner here on one evening and the food was very good. The swimming pool is beautiful and very peaceful, you don't really hear the hustle and bustle of the city and you'd almost forget that your in Chiang Mai! Staff are wonderfully helpful, kind and unobtrusive! My only negative comment is that I had a glass of wine and it was a bit overpriced compared to the rest of the prices I experienced in Thailand for wine, in saying that it was a perfectly nice glass of wine and I wouldn't let that put you off. This hotel is a gem of a hotel and I would definitely stay here again if I'm ever back in Chiang Mai!"The Hue House: "Wonderful dinner"
Really enjoyed our dinner here. Came here with our friends and we were all happy. The food was typical from Hue - the centre of Vietnam. The flavors were so good with authentic tastes and very tasty. Staff is friendly and attentiveNOEL RODRIGO’S LEOPARD SAFARIS: "Excellent safari experience in Yala National Park"
"We loved every moment of our time with Sajit, Praneeth and the boys at Leopard Safaris in Yala National Park. We stayed for 3 nights in March 2016 and would definately go back. Luxury camping at its best with one of the most comfortable beds throughout our stay in Sri Lanka, our own flushing loo and warm water shower. The food was excellent and plenty of it (it was great to have explanations on the local cuisine, it's ingredients and how to eat like the locals). The game drives were of course a highlight and our guides worked very hard to ensure we got the most from our experience - each safari was unique and it was nice to be able to explore different sections of the park. We appreciated each and every aspect of our time with Leopard Safaris and would absolutely recommend this company to anyone thinking about a stay in Yala. "Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "An excellent safari camp near to Sri Lanka’s finest wildlife park"
Outstanding Safari Camp - but please remember this is a CAMP, a safari experience, not a luxury hotel and as such tents in the bush are the order of the day. Nevertheless the camp is well done and maintained. The food was excellent and plentiful, mostly Sri Lankan cuisine. Noel and his partner Cecile are excellent hosts and his team of camp managers, cooks and guides are very professional and accommodating. The safari guides are extremely good, highly knowledgable and ethical in their wildlife policies. The safari vehicles are well appointed, up-to-date 4x4's - all important to me as a professional wildlife photographer. Yala National Park itself is just a short drive away from the camp, (at the time of my visit, camps and lodges are not permitted in the park itself) great wildlife encounters are frequent and the varied landscapes are stunning. Noel Rodrigo's is perhaps a little more expensive than the other camps, hotels and wildlife tours I saw out there, but for the personal attention, quality of the camp, vehicles, guides, food and service.... it is certainly worth it.Cabochon Hotel & Residence: "Beautifully well preserved"
This hotel is really special. The building and the rooms are just breathtaking. The attention to detail and the original features really set it apart. I loved the light switches! The location is great, really close to everything yet completely quiet and tranquil as soon as you walk through the gates. The staff is really friendly as well and were always available for whatever we needed. Overall, great value and would definitely stay there again.David’s Kitchen: "Our special night made even more memorable by DK"
"David and his team have created something very special in DK. Expectations are set very high when going to a ""fine dining"" restaurant, especially one with such a collection of positive reviews. I went with my partner for a special occasion and we both left DK thoroughly impressed. The food is outstanding, supported by a fantastic wine and cocktail list. The only issue we faced the whole evening was choosing what to order. I finally went for the Wagyu beef strip loin which was melt in the mouth, accompanied by the most gorgeous paris mash and truffle sauce - food heaven. What makes DK special is that David has managed to deliver the sophistication and refinement of fine dining, yet also makes it warm and engaging. The personalised service and attention to detail is everywhere, his service team is friendly and attentive, and David himself a real pleasure to chat to. For what you get, it is serious value for money and I shall definitely be returning when back in Chiang Mai."Villa Song Saigon: "Beautiful place, thoroughly recommend"
Set on the river in an expat area, gorgeous French villa with giant pool and lively restaurant, service is great, but unobtrusive - shuttle bus into town and lots of staff information and where to eat/shop. Did a Chu chi tunnels tour with Les rives and they pick you up at the jetty - loved the place!Heritage Suites Hotel: "Perfect Location and Stunning Boutique Hotel!"
"On arrival, there are two lovely old vintage cars parked in the drive of this authentic hotel, which is located far enough away from the tourist part of town, but near enough to everything you need! We had a bungalow suite which is really large and not only has a nice comfortable bed with good pillows and linens, but there is a large bath with petals if one wants, plus a large walk in shower, and also a sauna on the other side! There is a separate toilet off the lounge area, and a garden area outside, so that you have everything you need! The swimming pool is really nice and we spent a very pleasant afternoon there. There is a fabulous restaurant called Marum, which is a training restaurant just at the bottom of the road, where we had a great meal, and there are also some good laundries nearby within walking distance. The service at the hotel is really good, everyone is extremely nice and helpful. My only negative comment is that we would have preferred a larger breakfast menu, as you have to order and is not a buffet, so limited options. Also, we were given a free 15 min massage each, which is very nice gesture, but when my husband, who didn’t want his, asked to give it to me so I could have 30 mins, they couldn’t do this as wasn’t policy! Notwithstanding that, I had a lovely relaxing massage. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Siem Reap, as you really get the feel for the area, better than staying in one of the large chain hotels which were all very near the airport, on one long stretch of road. We also ate at Maris restaurant, and were lucky to get a reservation at Cuisine Wat Damnak, the best restaurant there! But you must book from the UK for that one. All in all, a great choice of hotel, we could get a Tuk tuk easily into town, and a visit to the night market and the old quarter is well worthwhile, in fact get the tuk tuk to give you a tour around town for $5, is great fun!"Jing’s Residence: "A haven of peace"
"We stayed at Jing's Residence for 2 nights and this was really a wonderful experience. After the noise and the crowd of the city , Jing's Residence offers a quiet and peaceful environment, sophisticated yet making you feel like in a friend's or family home. From the rooms and exquisite decoration, to the restaurant and the staff, everything was perfect. We celebrated my father's birthday there and the staff was very kind and thoughtful. I also tested the spa which was a very pleasant moment. This is truly one of our best experience in China."
