The Hue House: "Hard to find paradise"
"What a beautiful magical spot!! You couldn't ask for a more perfect way to cap an evening after a hectic day in Ho Chi Minh City. You have the feel of walking into a Buddhist Temple from a Japanese garden - except it is perched on the 10th floor overlooking the city you just conquered. The authentic Vietnamese food did not disappoint. We were waited on by helpful staff in traditional dress. We were the only ones there our night - perhaps, because it was rainy outside, perhaps, because it was hard to find, or, perhaps, it is just too new and hasn’t built up the word of mouth. Please, help them and go, you will feel very lucky to have had the opportunity. Getting here is the trick. We never saw a sign. All we found was a security guard to one of the buildings on this short block - just east off the Turtle Fountain/Pond. It is the big steel & glass office building - go into the lobby and press the 10th floor from the elevator. It takes you to paradise."David’s Kitchen: "To celebrate my 50th birthday"
The food was excellent from starter through to desserts. All the staff were very friendly and attentive. The owner (David) walked around every table talking to the guests which was a nice touch. The restaurant was very popular on the night we went so the atmosphere was great. We stayed in Chiang Mai for 4 nights and this was the best food and atmosphere by far. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to others. The Governor’s House: "Perfect Bolthole"
"Beautiful colonial boutique hotel. Smiling charming staff, eager to please. Lovely small intimate dining room with excellent food. Would definitely recommend having dinner here. Our trip was for our 40th wedding anniversary, and 'Happy 40th wedding anniversary' was spelt out in flower petals across our bed...a great touch! Bedroom was charming, and bathroom was clean, stylish and well presented. It's easy to hire a ride into city centre and water front to see the sights. A perfect hideaway hotel, good value and highly recommended."Misool Eco Resort: "Unforgettable holiday"
Misool is an amazing lodge in gorgeous Raja Ampat. not only is it gorgeous, clean and luxurious: it has done tremendous work to preserve the manta rays, sharks and other marine life of raja Ampat and Indonesia at large. Misool' said conservation work is crucial to protecting the astounding (and increasingly rare) biodiversity that makes Raja Ampat such an outstanding diving and snorkeling destination. I would absolutely return, and would not consider staying at any other lodge as I believe we must support conservation work. Service is likewise impeccable, including amazing massages.Amata Lanna: "Paradise"
"Beautiful small hotel in Chiang Mai - only 12 georgeous rooms. Very warm welcome & and wonderful surprise when we were shown to our rooms - even better than the photos that we had seen prior to booking. Rooms are spacious, v tastefully decorated in traditional dark wood & the bathroom hosts both a jacuzzi bath & a shower. Outside areas are compact but leafy & relaxing, & the pool is very small offers welcome respite from the hot temperatures. Would very happily come back & recommend !"The Cabochon Hotel: "Wonderful experience"
A great hideaway just off Sukhumvit with a beautifully curated experience full of curiosities, each room filled for a quiet browse. The things you discover. A step back into a indochin residence, sit back, with a cocktail or two, turn off the phone and relax before you venture out. Great warm and welcoming service, thank you. Very easy to recommend.Dewakan: "Hidden gem"
Yes it's not on the beaten track but well worth finding. This chef is a genius at combining flavours in creative ways. Presentation & service were also 1st rate. If you're in KL & looking for amazing cuisine seek this place out.Tugu Bali: "Awesome place with shakey wifi"
"Had a great time here in may. The location is great for people lookibg for either surf, staying in hipster canggu or golf (close to the nirwana golf course). The hotel has an awesome location right on the beach. Before the beach there is a beautiful lawn where you can relax and watch the sea or have something to eat. The beach is good for beginner surfing as well as more intermediate. Not ideal for swimming because of the waves. But great for diving into the waves. The hotel itself has great balinese character. All the common areas but also the rooms. You are really in Bali. The food is awesome and the great thing is you can eat it on the lawn watching the sunset. The rooms are big with some sort of outside area where there is also big bath. Only drawbacks are the quality of the internet, it didn't really affect my stay as I was there only for a couple or nights, and the airconditiong. The airconditiong are basically two remotes for two aircos, where you have to mix and match to get the right temperature in the room. So kt's not climate control where you set to a temperature and it's done. But those things are outweighed easily by all the other things mentioned. Would come back anytime! "arumdalu: "a hidden gem filled with surprises!"
We never expect to find such a refine place at the very southern tip of Belitung island. A very creative and delicate cuisine, sustainable practices to save energy or natural fogging, an attentive service, large villa with private pool, 800m of white sand beach and beautiful landscape. Only recommend to people who appreciate quiet beauty!!!Les Maisons Wat Kor: "Amazing service"
Stayed here for two nights and loved every minute of my stay. I was welcomed and made to feel special for the duration of my stay. The rooms are relaxing and the resort very pretty. The staff were so polite and I was even given a birthday cake from the hotel. I would recommend this hotel as they will make you feel so welcome and take care of you.
