Hotel Tugu Lombok: "Paradise found"
We had wonderful 5 nights at this quiet, luxurious resort: beautiful place, great villa, very clean and delicious meals. The hotel staff is amazingly friendly and helpful, all our wishes came true. We very much enjoyed our stay and are very sad that we could not stay longer. The Apsara Rive Droite: "Loved it!"
This hotel is just a 2 min boat trip across the river from its sister hotel Apsara in the old town. You just drop by at their receptions and tell them you whenever you need to cross. Very convenient. Apsara Rive Droite is a little gem with a pool, a nice garden, beautiful rooms and a pleasant little restaurant and bar. The hotel manager (Hann) is the perfect host with his friendly, yet professional style. Even if the hotel is just two minutes by boat fron the old town, it is located in a less touristy area. I quite enjoyed strolling i this neighbourhood too as it gave glimpses into laotian everyday life. This includes the morning alm cermony that takes place on the road just outside the hotel.Le Calao: "Fantastic meal"
Highly recommend this newly opened restaurant in an old colonial building - service, views, food - everything was great. A bit more expensive than other places in Luang Prabang but absolutely worth it.David’s Kitchen: "Great place"
The reason David's Kitchen is so great is because of the passion and attention to detail that has been put into the restaurant. David, his wife and their staff are lovely. No stone is left unturned. The food is really good. The Cabochon Hotel: "Our second stay at Cabochon Hotel"
"I visited Cabochon with my 9 month old baby when I was travelling with him alone and had the warmest stay on my whole journey. Ten month later I returned together with my husband and son. Nothing had changed. Still, the friendliest care one can ever dream of in a hotel. This hide away makes Bangkok seem calm. I could once again start writing about how I love the interior, the breakfastroom, the food. But still, what ones again stayed in my memory was the throughout friendly, helpful, interested and cool staff. Absolutely one of a kind. Thank you Shaubai and you whole team! Malin, Alex and Lode"Rak Ko Jae Seoul: "Traditional house in bustling Seoul"
"Stayed for a night in the separate house (which has 2 bathrooms) with 3 other friends. The house was well maintained and clean!Hosts were responsive and helpful. You could borrow the hanboks from the host to try on and take Instagram-worthy pictures with the traditional setting. As if you just hopped on the time machine! What we love most was the breakfast! It's ""SEOUL YUMMY!"" (So yummy, pun intended). Just by looking at the picture is enough to salivate!' It's so good that we felt all other meals we had during our trip were just so plain and average! Words can't express how good it was. You have to try it to know it! :) The location of the house is not so straightforward. It would be good if you have wifi-egg to navigate and locate using your phone! Otherwise I would advise you to get detailed directions from the host before the trip. "The Hue House: "Beautiful Gem and Amazing food"
"This place is Gem in Saigon. The Hue House is just amazing place to be, the Hue Cuisine is just delicious food specially Grilled beef with Hue Sauce and Cuon Diep the rolls is just awesome. The service is good and atmosphere is good. Very beautifully designed restaurant and well planned menu. Its the Hue Cuisine food with all different variety to choose from. Got to say one thing on the dot that food is Amazing. Would highly recommend.Must visit place"Mie Cafe: "Fantastic food!"
The restaurant in a nice wooden house is located a bit outside of the center of Siem Reap. We got there by Tuk-tuk and chose 3 courses: Tuna tartar with mango, traditional fish Amok and fried bananas with mango and vanilla ice. We loved it so much that we came back the day after and ordered the same items again. Really nice!Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Heritage and cultural luxury"
"Built around 1840 and now providing public accommodation, this is the luxury with character missing in today's 5 (or more) star hotels. From the old fashioned door key to the huge rooms furnished to transport you back in time, the centre open courtyard with photos of those from the past or the 'day beds' along the courtyard wings to relax in, this is 'what's old is new again'. The bathroom and shower facilities are modern 'western' but still set in the decor of yesteryear. Breakfast à la cart can be a little slow but gives time to relax, enjoy the ambience and enjoy the many self serve offerings. Located in the old town area, further history and the delights of Georgetown are just out the gate"Les Maisons Wat Ko: "Small family run hotel"
Lovely stop on our travel through Cambodia. Food was excellent and rooms lovely. The pool area was being tidied when we were there so hopefully this is complete now. Loved the deep fried flowers we received with our drinks.
