Rice & Zen Boutique Resort: "Excellent"
"Seadance resort provided a very laid back and relaxing experience for us from the minute we arrived. The location is fairly quiet but a short cab ride will get you to anything the island has to offer, if that's what you want. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, the food in the restaurant excellent (great view over the pool and ocean), but above all the staff were excellent. They made us feel right at home, they were great with our two young boys (6 and 4) and clearly thought that nothing was too much trouble. It's fair to say the beach isn't awesome but it's still a sandy stretch where you can sit and watch the water, lie on a sunbed or let the kids play. We would go back to this resort."Mie Cafe: "Really really good"
Went on the recommendation of a local and were blown away by the quality of the cooking here. We weren't surprised to hear that the patron/chef had trained in a Michelin 2 Star in Switzerland. The food shames many one star restaurants I've eaten in elsewhere. We both started with scallop tartare with seaweed and heart of coconut. I followed with Fish Amok and S with a risotto. All just superb. We are going back tonight. Do not miss if you are in town.Flower Island: "Absolutely Amazing"
"My husband and I came to flower island as part of our honeymoon. This is an absolute MUST! It is honestly a once in a life time experience. I have been fortunate enough to travel a lot, especially through Asia, including Malaysia, Cambodia, Thailand and the Phillippines. I have also stayed in places like Bora Bora. flower island still amazed me and took my breath away. You are on your own secluded island with only a hand full of guests. You stay in a tree house like accommodation- my husband and I felt like Tarzan andJane! You are surrounded by beauty and it is the most relaxing experience. The staff on the island are so friendly. It is very relaxed, and some people may like that 5 star 'being doted on hand and foot' style of service, but this place is so easy going and care free. The service is genuine and kind. Please remember, they lead an island life style, and it is relaxed. There is a bar and a beautiful, earthy restaurant where all your meals are catered for. Nice home cooked meals. I would recommend you get to the dining area as soon as the meal time begins to avoid the food cooling, as it's a buffet style. Also, as my husband and I swam and kayaked all day, we were a little hungry between meals, so we would recommend you bring some of your own snacks. Also, as it's a place that respects and is in touch with nature, expect some small visitors (like bugs etc) to your room, so maybe bring bug spray to deter mosquitos, and I would recommend a torch. I would also recommend a room with air conditioning as it can get a little steamy. We had this style room and it was comfortable. I would also highly recommend the pearl farm tour. Whilst the tour was interesting, the place where they take you to snorkel is amazing and essentially untouched as the area is highly protected. Most of the coral we saw on previously in our el Nido island hopping tours was dead, but this snorkel spot is just breath taking. The best I have ever seen! On the island as well there is a light house, which you can stay in for no extra charge- a great experience for those who are a Little more adventurous! You can walk to the top of the light house and are presented with a 360 degree view! Amazing. Such a wonderful place that offers priceless views and the most relaxing time away. It is worth the slightly expensive transfers in (van and boat ride) but the speed boat ride itself is exciting- we felt like James Bond on our way in! Very classy and a great entrance! One of my favorites spots I have been to so far in all my travels. Such a beauty and one of a kind. Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"The River Resort: "Magical Mekong River views – with good food and a spa!"
"We stayed three nights at this lush and green, rather smart resort, arranged for us by Selective Asia. Our family villa room was upstairs, with a balcony and absolutely wonderful views over the Mekong. Great to watch the fishermen at sunrise from the balcony or from bed, with a cup of tea made in our room, or enjoy a drink from the minibar listening to the crickets as the sun set. A magical spot indeed. You’ll need your anti mosquito lotion for sitting out in this location, but the resort villa rooms have good nets and our room was realatively easy to keep mosquito free! We ate at the hotel open air restaurant every evening and found plenty to choose from, with a good range of western and Asian options. We enjoyed all our meals, and service was excellent. Breakfast was good too, but we would have liked some more bread options as well as the rather sweet slices there were to toast (e.g. brown?) - but maybe that’s not available at this slightly remote location. One of us had a massage at the spa, which was great and a lovely option to have right on site. Hotel provided us with a boat crossing to meet our guide at the opposite river bank, which was ideal and very prompt and comfortable. We also had laundry done, which was not expensive and very convenient. Sadly we didn’t get chance to use the free bikes. All in all a wonderful spot and a lovely exclusive hotel, and we loved having it as our base for exploring the Mekong River and the nearby Wat Phou UNESCO Site."Heritage Suites Hotel: "Best hotel of our trip"
Our guide told us there are 400 hotels in Siem Reap, well I am pleased we stayed at heritage suites. We enjoyed the pick up in the old car and the welcome drink and towels. I had booked the basic room as we did not expect to spend much time in the room and was delighted to to escorted to one of the garden suites. We voted it the best room we had of all the rooms on our trip. The service of the staff was excellent. Enjoyed happy hour and a light lunch by the pool. We booked our tour of Angkor wat through the hotel and it was well worth it our guide was excellent and managed to make the tour as individual as possible and I did not feel one of the masses and his knowledge of the temples and his insight into Cambodia was superb. A wonderful end to our trip around Vietnam and Cambodia my only regret was that we only had two nights .Nam Bo Boutique Hotel: "luxurious"
They were given a great suite overlooking the river boardwalk, a welcome drink and gift in the room, cleaning and and immaculate linen, restaurant and breakfast fantastic, we were also offered a drink of your choice on the restaurant terrace !!!Mume: "Fine Dining"
Definitely one of the best fine dining restaurants in Taiwan. Good service. Good value. Good presentation. The Cabochon Hotel: "Bangkok’s Finest Boutique Hotel"
Every time I visit Bangkok, Cabochon is my accommodation choice. In fact, I've stayed there five times. And each time, the experience was better than the last. I love the old world charm, chic colonial decor, delicious breakfast, and warm and sincere service. Its restaurant Thai Lao Yeh serves good Isan inspired cuisine. The shaved ice desserts are to diet for. The location is convenient, just 10 mins walk to Bangkok's newest mall EMQuartier. The very hip Sing Sing Theatre is a stone's throw away. Cabochon is a must stay if you love original non-cookie cutter hotels. I'll definitely be back!Locavore: "Best in Bali"
Melbourne foodies giving it 4 stars. Fantastic food and service. All I can say is when in Ubud it's the best you'll find. Try it!Satri House: "Just wonderful and charming"
"Excellent in every way! Top in quality of the rooms decorated with local and colonial furniture, the staff is helpful, the spa was really agreeable, the restaurant is top even if the staff is still lacking a bit of experience in the way of taking orders. For sure, this will be the place I will go back to next time I am in Luang Prabang."
