The Island Lodge: "Peaceful place with great food"

Review by: Steve H | Source: Trip Advisor
"We stayed at the Island Lodge in January 2017 for three nights. A wonderful, peaceful spot with fantastic service and food! We were glad that we chose a riverview room and enjoyed watching life pass us by on the Mekong. The transfer from the airport took about 2 hours. We took a coconut farm tour offered by the lodge that was great, a combo of a boat ride and bicycling through back paths around the island that had little or no traffic. We also had the same guide, Kuy (not sure how he spelled it) take us across the river to the small city of My Tho. We took bikes and visited the Buddhist temple and the fruit market and got a good taste of Vietnam life in an area with few Westerners. The Island Lodge would be a nice stop before or after the chaos of Ho Chi Minh City. Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"

Mie Cafe: "Wonderful discovery for Khmer fusion food"

Review by: demi_dee_001 | Source: Trip Advisor
We have been living in Cambodia for 20 months now and have tried a lot on the evolving Top Ten restaurant must-try. Now here is one quiet, unassuming restaurant off the tourist spots in Siem Reap that we found to be REALLY, REALLY GOOD. Chef Pola is Khmer and very creative with local cuisine plus his talent and training abroad makes it world class gourmet. What can I say.. I even tried the red ants and eggs on the menu and liked the entire dish. Just give the tuktuk driver the address and he can bring you there.

Manda De Laos: "Wonderful Evening"

Review by: RealTravelPro | Source: Trip Advisor
"We had a romantic dinner here on the last night of our stay in LP and it turned out to be the perfect location! Beautiful setting and atmosphere. You sit right by the lotus pond. Food and drinks were lovely, the staff very attentive. Of course you can get cheaper meals in LP but this restaurant is really special and more upscale. There is a secluded table in the middle of the pond, which you can reserve for a very private dining experience. As far as food goes, I had the vegetarian stew and one other home made ice teas and really loved it."

Rachamankha: "Outstanding"

Review by: 602royd | Source: Trip Advisor
Serene' - the word that best describes Rachamankha at Chiang Mai A beautiful property, lovely staff and an excellent restaurant. The hotel is a 10-15 min walk from the night markets/walking streets. Would love to come back some time in the future.

Reverie Siam: "Beautiful food"

Review by: Rubylips_13 | Source: tripadvisor.com
"I booked this hotel as I saw on trip advisor it had the best restaurant in pai. And the reviews are correct. I had breakfast lunch and dinner here during my stay. Try the meat and cheese board. Heaven if you've been in Asia for a while and are missing diary treats. Great service in the restaurant too. The night we dined they also were playing live music. Disney favourites! Every one was clapping along to the jungle book. So much fun, great ambience in the room. My room was beautiful furnished , spacious with a balcony over looking the pool. I loved the large bathroom with roll top bath. Very cool style. The resort has a very boutique feel, everything looks quality , the design has looks of attention to detail with I enjoyed. Nice that you have a choice of 2 swimming pools one natural and one standard with beautiful views of pai. Great to sit around the pool with a cocktail or fresh juice from the bar. It is as nice as the pictures on the web site which are pretty inviting. "

Sanak Retreat Bali: "No shopping, no need to go out to eat, just stay here and relax"

Review by: josephine2 | Source: Trip Advisor
"We were so happy with our time here - five nights in such a remote location might not appeal to all, but we loved it. After a long drive from the airport (unfortunately on a holiday Sunday which extended the time), we were charmed by our greeting. Although we'd booked a one bedroom villa, we were delighted to be given a two bedroom with a choice of a king size bed both upstairs and downstairs - or we could pick and choose! We also had a choice of three balconies to sit on - to watch the sunrise or sunset if we wished. The rooms are very comfortable - deliberately not with every 5 star inclusion - but we found out that if we lacked something we could request it and it was willingly provided. All rooms are furnished with Balinese art and objects and most are available for purchase (good if you miss the shops!). The spa also has a great range of desirable objects for purchase. Talking of the spa, I managed to fit in 4 treatments and was lucky enough to find Wayan for my first and then book In with him again. He is a wonderful intuitive masseur and had a good insight into the treatment that was best for me and also gave me some practical advice. In fact, I enjoyed my treatments in Sanak so much (this included a facial on my last day), that I cancelled the massage I'd booked in Ubud and don't feel the need for any more at the moment. Maybe I'll change when we move to Seminyak later this week! We took two of the tours offered by Sanak - one was a trek with a local guide - around the nearby village and then down to the waterfall for a swim. If I'd realized this involved hundreds of steps down a steep path (my husband tells me I'm exaggerating), I probably wouldn't have done it! However, our guide, Arca, constantly helped me down stony steps and across streams patiently holding my hand tightly. It is a beautiful waterfall and refreshing, unfortunately there had been a lot of rain the previous night, so the climb was a bit slippery too, and also the rocks around the waterfall were still wet so there was nowhere to sit and difficult to change in and out of our costumes on such rocky ground. Arca carried towels and water for us, which was great. We also took a tour with Giusti - very knowledgeable and personable - we chose to visit the hot springs ((public baths), the Buddhist temple and then Lovina beach. We bought delicious fish & chips from the Buda Bakery at Lovina and sat with Giusti on the black sand to watch the sunset and the full moon come out. The food at Sanak was excellent and well priced, and we didn't mind at all that we couldn't visit a different restaurant every night. There are a few dishes you need to order 24 hours in advance and we can particularly recommend them - the Balinese duck and another chicken dish - they were both excellent. Breakfast is generous although the service could be a little more leisurely in such a tranquil setting. Sebastian, ably helped by Neni, heads up a great team and all the staff are charming and extremely helpful including purchasing some local goods on our behalf. Our farewell was as warm as our welcome and we do hope to return there one day."

Pindaya Farm House: "A charming farmhouse"

Review by: Sithu T | Source: Trip Advisor
Unlike many popular and expensive hotels in Myanmar with extravagant yet very poor in taste decorations, Pindaya farmhouse stands out with cozy and warm ambience. No TV, no hot shower but that’s ok... it’s more natural that way... It fits exactly for people who look for different tastes when they travel. Farm hosts are not only extremely hospitable, but very good in making meals. We are treated with beautiful breakfast of variety of farm grown fruits & Shan noodle. It’s almost like visiting a friend’s house for a night. It was during high festive season in Myanmar of Lighting Thadingyut festival when I was there. Many people make lanterns out of local Shan paper. Night sky was filled with floating paper lanterns. I can’t express how much I enjoyed staying there for a night. I wished I had more time to stay there a bit longer to do some cycling among those beautiful valleys, canola fields and wine yards. Needless to say how pleasant highland weather was. It was a memorable stay, it was an instant love and joy.

Rachamankha: "Peaceful place"

Review by: j0hnbalaise | Source: Trip Advisor
"This is a truly beautiful property. The space, design and interior flow have been put together with the eye of a master designer/collector. Every artefact has been carefully chosen and perfectly positioned. Everywhere there is harmony, serenity and something to delight the eye, such that it is impossible to take a bad photograph of Rachamankha! After the chaotic, steamy bustle of the streets of Chiang Mai it really is a delight to enter the enchanting courtyards of this lovely tranquil place. Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"

Flower Island Resort: "Best Island in Philippines"

Review by: Monquiro | Source: Trip Advisor
"When you arrive to Flower Island you feel like you have arrived to heaven!! My husband and I booked 2 nights in late September but once we arrived we immediately decided to extend to 3 nights. Luckily we were the only guests on the island and the stuff upgraded our room to the golden one. The room was very comfortable and clean and the view is amazing!! The water is crystal clear and you can do a lot of activities like snorkeling and kayaking. The staff were amazing, all of them are very nice, kind and with good vibes! We did the tour for the pearl factory and it was very interesting to get familiar with the process; after the visit, we had a private picnic for us on beautiful island nearby. Finally the food was DELICIOUS, every meal was different from each other. Don't hesitate to reserve this place, we highly recommend it!! Thanks again to the staff that made our honeymoon unforgettable!!"
