I loved the ambiance of this place. You feel relaxed the moment you enter. I love how they do a daily coffee and tea with traditional Balinese cakes. The rooms are amazing! Stayed here for 2 nights on a tour of Nepal and it was the highlight of the trip. Having stayed here in 2011 I was looking forward to my return visit and was not disappointed. The staff, as ever, were fantastic. Marcus was extremely helpful, going out of his way to help a couple of our group who were ill (illness contracted at previous places NOT at Tiger Mountain!). The choice of activities on offer is excellent, the food wonderful, the lodges superb - I'm looking forward to a return visit. "We started our journey in lovely Ladakh from Nimmu House. It was a perfect start. We received a very warm welcome followed by 2 days of comfort and lot of personal attention. The apricot and apple trees were in bloom and we were allowed to pick as and when! It is a great eco friendly retreat from busy city life. Chef Mahesh cooked superb meals which were served in the courtyard in open air as weather was lovely. Sumo is a wonderful lady who is an extremely helpful and pleasant person. Overall a very satisfying stay. Would recommend definitely. Free Wifi is available but in certain areas only., We started our journey to explore Ladakh with Shanti travels. They were brilliant right from pick up from delhi airport till the drop off 10 days later. Great hotel, great food (apart from breakfast, which was average), fantastic bedroom and really helpful staff. Annoying niggly problems with signing bills and a trainee at breakfast barely understood English. We spent my wive's birthday here and it was just wonderful. The love everything here - the ambience, the room, the food, the wine and the very friendly and highly skilld personal. We had a lovely stay at Tugu hotel Bali due to the special atmosphere of the hotel, which is actually a small museum of Indonesian art and history. The lovely staff of the hotel made us feel at home and they bring hospitality to the next level. We enjoyed the lush breakfast, which you can have at any time and place you like. Every Thursday night the hotel has a cultural evening, which is a must see with spectacular dancing. Next to the hotel is the Japanse restaurant Ji, which is great for diner or cocktails. At least you should have a look inside as there is an actual temple in the restaurant. Canggu itself is developing fast and new hotels are build in the area, Tugu hotel is gracefully adjusting to the new surroundings and can hopefully capture the unique atmosphere of the hotel in the future. Next time we visit Bali, we will definitely stay at Tugu hotel again!Arumdalu: "An excellent and very luxurious unique experience"
We spent 5 days at this resort on our latest trip to Indonesia. We know the country well so we can be a bit choosy. We had a very luxurious experience at this resort with really excellent food. The accommodation was perfect with bungalows with small pool. The concept with back to nature fit our interest in a sustainable resort thinking. We just loved the whole idea and our stay here!
