Rachamankha: "Elegant & beautiful, a pretty perfect south-east Asia hotel"
Two years ago I had dinner here after stumbling across it when wandering round the old town of Chiang Mai. I immediately had hotel envy and as soon as I decided to come back to CM I knew I had to stay here. I was not disappointed. The beautiful courtyards unfold before you, each one shady and alluring, housing antique furniture and prints down the side galleries, and with frangipanis and palm trees dotting the central space, one of them enclosing a lovely quiet pool, another an exquisite library. This is the kind of building you often find yourself paying to wander round, to stay here was a privilege and I loved it. Every detail here was considered and I would definitely recommend it. My only comment to the owners is that the bathrooms need some love and attention, compared to everything else it felt shabby (but in fact, it was absolutely fine and with lovely Molton Brown toiletries - it just didn't live up to the quality of the rest of the experience). Location-wise it's also great, down a small back street inside the old city walls and a five minute walk from the main temple complex and one end of the night market. I was sad to leave, you'll be delighted to arrive.Hotel Tugu Malang: "one of the best hotels I have stayed in!"
I stayed here twice, both for business. The first one was in June and the second one was in September. Both experiences were amazing, it's like this hotel is flawless! All of the food I had there was scrumptious and presented tastefully. It's close to a nice bakery and great coffee shops, and just 3 minutes away from the train station! I am definitely staying at Tugu the next time I am in Malang .Chakrabongse Villas: "Wonderful hotel"
"We stayed one night in this hotel. This hotel is really beautiful. It is authentic and well located in the city. I would definitely recommend it. The room is huge and you have a large terrace. The breakfast is really good and can be served on the terrace as well. The staff speaks a very good English and are very helpful. This hotel would be a bit more expensive than other hotels that we did in Bangkok but it is definitely worth it. We hope to come back in Bangkok and stayed there. Thank you again for the Thailand flag :)"Muang La Resort: "well worth the long trip!"
As you bump along a main road for hours to cover what looks like no distance at all on a map, you wonder what possessed anyone to build a resort out there in the sticks. And when you finally get there, have a welcome drink and a guided tour around the place, settled into your bungalow and are blissfully soaking in an outdoor hot tub fed from a natural spring, you realise that this resort is an extraordinary achievement of vision and hard work. It is managed and animated by two young men, who make it all look deceptively easy. Food is outstanding, imaginative and fresh; accommodation is large and comfortable, care is attentive and personal, nothing seems too much. We have only one regret: we should have stayed longer. The River Resort: "perfect place for holidays!"
"Very nice place in front of the Mekong. Friendly people in the restaurant, in the whole resort. Romm very quiet, clean. Breakfest and food very good. Beautiful sunset-tour on the Mekong with a guide from the hotel, a drink and snacks. Massage very good!"Rachamankha: "Tranquility"
Rachamankha was wonderful. Very clean rooms, great customer service and extremely quiet. The rooms were big with AC, lots of free bottled water and a hair dryer. Every detail was beautifully thought out. No complaints and I have already recommended it to many friends. I would return for sure.David’s Kitchen: "Simply Amazing"
"Hard to put into words how much my wife, daughters 11 and 8 and I enjoyed this meal. David is an incredibly generous host, making sure that every single dinner was hapoy and well looked after. We discovered our two daughters share the same names as David's children. I jad the braised wagyu cheek and was blown away. All of our dishes were if the highest order. Price was inline with the quality of food and service we received. Thank you David and staff for a wonderful meal."Sanak Retreat Bali: "The Birthday Party of my life"
"I went to Sanak in December 2015 and fail in love with it, so this time I came back with many Friends for the celebration of my 30th Birthday. The welcome reserved by the staff was fantastic! The GM Sebastian is an amazing, professional and friendly warm person who made me feel at ease and relax. The food was sensational all my friends enjoyed it. The wine list is great we finished a couple of labels... My friends commented about the fantastic SPA, the quality of the service is wonderful with nice products and very friendly staff like everywhere else in the hotel. The rooms are pretty with an amazing view on volcanos and rice fields. Spotless! what a birthday! I couldn't have wished for better. I will remember it all my life and my friends too ! Thanks Sebastian and Sanak's team!!! you are remarkable! Stayed April 2017, traveled with friends"Supanniga Eating Room: "Delcious Authentic Thai Food"
You need to call ahead for a reservation at this small yet wonderful restaurant. They advertise Grandma's secret recipes and they do not disappoint. Great service and very yummy food with those wonderful, distinctive Thai flavors. If you want the real deal, come here.Locavore: "Just as good three years later"
Really happy with our choice to go back. Prices have gone up in Bali since our last visit and it's now 100 AUD for the seven courses. But the quality of the food makes the price appear cheap. A near faultless display of interesting textures and flavours. Can't wait to go back again.
