Maison Polanka: "“Rooms with character ”"
While in Siem Reap on business I wanted something with more character than the usual hotels, that could also be my home for my business trips. I found Maison Polanka thanks to an article in the Financial Times. As others have said, the rooms are beautiful and the staffs extremely helpful managing to arrange temple tour to fit my business schedule. The nature there is just so peaceful and gives me energy to start my day as well as rejuvenates me in the evening.Once you enter the wooden gate,it is another world. "This is the second time to stay at Amana Lannan in Chaing Mai. There are 16 rooms some king bed some twin bed. All have a jacuzzi tub and a shower ,fridge and safe. There is is a lovely pool and gardens and breakfast is included. 2 blocks from the night market and lots of restaurants. They are building a Lannan 2 across the river. The exact same model. You know that feeling of leaving a perfect place and grieving for that experience? Well, that is how we feel right now. The Island Lodge provided us with much needed healing and relaxation from the stresses of our work, health issues and our lives in the 'rat race'. The world is becoming a harder place but The Island Lodge provides a respite from all of that. Thank goodness for such a place. We spent most of our time outside or on our balcony watching the river life - a busy artery of interest and diversity. The breakfast was personalised - no buffet. Beautiful basket full of breads, a variety of juices, eggs to suit and more. Dinner and a nice wine list enhanced the open wall dining area so we could still see the river! Pool was the perfect temperature for me. A comment about the staff - they were gracious, polite and seemed to be able to predict your needs. We came to Pai on a recommendation from a friend. When we got to town, we were nervous that we had made a bad travel decision. However, as soon as we stepped out of the car at the Reverie Siam, we knew we were going to be okay. The grounds were BEAUTIFUL!! It was so nice to have breakfast, lunch and dinner in the open air dining area. Lounging by the pool while taking in the gorgeous scenery was heavenly. Our room was charming and so comfortable. Definitely a wonderful stay and worth the almost 800 turns to the city of Pai!!4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "A hidden gem"
We only stayed two nights at 4 Rivers Lodge but it was totally worth it and stunning! We have been very much happy with this experience! it's the best way to relax and be in contact with the nature: no wifi, phone, no TV, no computer. We spent our days cooling off in the Tatai River, phishing, kayaking, having a massage, discovering the little island in front of the resort and trying out the excellent fresh food available at the restaurant. All the tents are very private and comfortable. The shower is a gem! It was simply an amazing experience that we'll never forget! we are happy we chose this place for our honeymoon trip! so peaceful and immersed in the wildest nature of Cambodia! "I had spend a couple of night's at the Tugu over Nyepi (Balinese day of silence) and it was a wonderful experience. The rooms are stunning, full of little details that make your stay pleasant and also very unique - you feel in Bali, not like this could be any resort around the world. The staff is very sweet and friendly and the location is unbeatable, walking distance from the beach. "Sukoon Houseboat: "paradise"
We had a lovely time at Sukoon. High end houseboat with heating, fancy bathroom with a bath - it is a five star experience. It has a lovely sun deck - perfect to lounge in the evening sun, read a book, just watch life go by and sundowners. It is in one corner of the Dal lake so pretty private. "The hotel is beautiful, with lot of different areas to explore, relax and even work. All the areas are decorated with elegance, full of art objects. The restaurant had a very nice atmosphere, the music was vocal jazz and relaxing. The restaurant created a lovely mood, suitable for couples or even families. The staff was extremely polite and friendly. The food was exceptionally delicious. The beef was tender. The dessert was also special. The service was great. Set on the majestic, vast and serene Inle Lake, with its floating villages, this beautiful resort is nestled amongst tropical gardens and pods of lily pads. We enjoyed staying in a lovely, spacious lake chalet which had both an indoor and outdoor shower. The service was first class, meals excellent and the pampering spa amazing. Thank you for a most enjoyable stay. We hope to return.
