Inle Princess Resort: "Where time stops"
"This place cannot be compared to others. You arrive with a boat which engine is turned off before approaching the hotel. Someone comes on board to lead the boat to the shore. You then arrive in paradise. This hotel is located north the lake Inle. Rooms are large,so are the bathrooms with an outside shower. It can be cold at night but the hotel staff will kindly offer to light a fire in your room which will keep you warm all night. For us mosquitos were not a problem . Just remind to take anti mosquitos product with you: you are next to the lake so of course there will be some. You will enjoy breakfast looking at the changing light above the lake before starting your journey on the lake. The spa is hidden among flowers: do not leave before enjoying a treatment there . We loved it and plan to go back."Inle Princess Resort: "Lovely in every way"
The Inle Princess was just lovely; and the staff was eager to please in every way. The thatched roof bungalows were very well done and the grounds were meticulous, peaceful and enchanting. I'd recommend a bike ride to the nearby vineyard. Also, bring warm clothes for the very cold nights and mornings.Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "Exceptional Service and a beautiful setting."
"This meets all the expectations mentioned in other reviews and is an exceptional training facility. Rooms spotless, restaurant deserves all the praise as do the staff. The downside for some who wish to relax and rest rather than be out and about all the time can be the noise of the boats going past during daylight hours as the engines can be noisy, and that to get anywhere you must take a boat as it is on an island not linked to the shore. While this was a not problem for me... it could be for others who travel differently. It is also a 1 hour by car, plus 1 by boat journey from Heho airport so early flights can be awkward. In saying the above.... I would still return for another holiday to the same hotel and recommend it to friends."sukoon: "best house boad"
"After many places we zeroed down to Sukoon and we knew it would be great. We booked Suite and it surpassed our expectations. They pick up from gate and drop you a house boat , check in was fast and staff was very courteous, Humble and polite. We offered Kawa on sunny breezy evening Rooms were Big, Spacious and had good view. Good comfortable Beds and Heaters. The washroom are the best from houseboats perspective. Its loaded with excellent quality toiletries, bathtub, shower panel etc. "Maison Polanka: "Even better than advertised!"
"To have seen the gorgeous pictures on their website and read the lovely descriptions, one might say “not possible”, but somehow, Maison Polanka manages to exceed one’s expectations --greatly! Our group stayed in the Khmer House and Green Room. Both are spacious and full of character, with an impeccable and sophisticated mix of contemporary and traditional decorations. But rest assured that here style does not come at the expense of guests’ comfort: Extremely comfortable beds; powerful and responsive AC; inviting bathrooms with walk-in showers; indulgent bed and bath linens and amenities; everything spotlessly clean; etc. (...) Service was extraordinarily attentive. At Maison Polanka, our needs and wants were not simply met, they were anticipated. A few examples of the innumerable gestures of hospitality and warmth extended to our group by Cathy and every one of the staff at Maison Polanka : Throughout our four-day stay (amidst the steamy and broiling heat of September ...), every single time we came back to the hotel, no sooner did we walk through the gate when we would be met with chilled towels and a smile; our group was eternally grateful for the abundant supply of chilled towels (with menthol) and bottled water that Maison Polanka so thoughtfully sent with our touring van; knowing our tight schedules, Cathy and Harold worked tirelessly and thoughtfully (and even with last-minute revisions) to be sure that our tours and shopping excursions met our interests; Cathy knew our flight details better than we, and she and Harold were the ones who kept checking with our airline for the most accurate updates while we shamefully lounged around; the yogurt at breakfast was so good, I offered a taste to a friend; within minutes, yogurt magically appeared on her tray. By the way, there is a great deal of talents in the kitchen at Maison Polanka where the preparations reflected a preference for refined nuances and where the presentation was visually stunning : We fell in love with Cambodian cuisine here (...) To the owners of Maison Polanka and to everyone of their amazing staff: thank you for creating for your guests this haven in Siem Reap!"Mie Cafe: "Wonderful experience!"
"A dinner in this restaurant was amazing! The food is interesting, very well presented, and creative! Clear that the chef knows what he is doing! It was a pleasure meeting him and have a little chat. Even the rain didn't ruin the experience, and may be made it even more special. Extremely recommended!"Amata Lanna: "Relaxing and Extremely Friendly Staff"
"A very nice spot for any kind of trip to Chiang Mai. Very clean and the best staff you could find to always make sure you are happy. We always felt welcome and felt like we were family. The rooms are decorated very nicely and has a nice Thai style and the courtyard is a small oasis like setting that is very pleasant. Overall very impressed with the Amata Lana."The Twelve Hotel: "A confidential charming place to discove"
Go there with confidence .... then can want them big! Doing so may miss the beauty of the place because everything is enjoyable to watch. This cozy and quiet hotel, with human size, deploys nice rooms and excellent taste: no false notes in decoration, nice furniture, nice touches for guests a warm and professional welcome, vast spaces that invite to relax before and / or after a day in the hectic Bangkok. It feels like home, only better because we have nothing else to do but enjoy! Breakfast is a delight (French pastries, etc.), the cleanliness is impeccable. Athy and Sébastien are good advice, in addition to being charming. Thanks to them, we could do many things with ease: many desires and 2 days with 2 children in this huge city. This peaceful place is very well located, quiet. We easily reached the sights, the BTS and the airport. On foot, there you need to eat, drink, etc ... the hotel tells us properly (explanations, plans, councils). We will return without hesitation, longer this time .. .for other chocolate croissants. A Family Reunion conqueredArumdalu: "The best Belitung can offer"
On our first trip to Belitung, we stayed 2 nights in a hotel in the city before moving down to Arumdalu Private Resorts. We planned it in such a way that our trip ended in Arumdalu, hoping for a perfect finish to our long holiday. We were not disappointed. After an hour drive from the town centre, we arrived at the lush grounds of Arumdalu. All the staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Our villa was beautiful; spacious, very clean and well provisioned with useful amenities. There is a private pool (with warm and very clean water - non chlorinated!) to every villa. The food in Sahang Restaurant was delicious. The menu offered limited selection of fusion food, yet all of them were amazing. We took turn to try all the different items on it, and love every single dish. The view from the restaurant which opened towards the beach was simply beautiful. The best part of Arumdalu must be the private beach. It was truly private as the property was surrounded by virgin and lush plantation. The pure white sands, enormous boulders backdrop and clear blue sky made Arumdalu the ultimate relaxation spot. Some of the activities offered include: batiking (there is a resident batik craftsman), canoeing, walks and hikes to the windmill and big boulders scattered along the beach. A note about the batiking: children can also try the process and be as creative as they can, while adults can even order customised batik at very reasonable prices. The price of the villa was, admittedly, quite expensive. However, it includes pick up and transfer to the airport (which can be considerably pricey in Belitung), generous breakfast portion (we had 4 portions for us and the kids everyday) and amazing experience in Belitung. Arumdalu is definitely non-mainstream and only for the discerning travellers. Highly recommended and hoping we could one day return!Supanniga Eating Room: "Absolutely amazing crab"
Had a few dishes but the one that stuck with me was the crab curry. I've never had crab meat like that before - was more like flakes of white fish than the usual texture. Flavours were well balanced all round, and reasonably priced.
