Villa Song Saigon: "The very best Hotel in Vietnam if not SE Asia"

Review by: Craig_M-NCL | Source: Trip Advisor
"As my review title says this is hands down the best hotel I've ever stayed at, Ive travelled the world and been luckily enough to stay at some amazing places but this place is just something else. Room: I booked this hotel for 2 nights to finish off my mini tour of Vietnam and my only complaint was I didn't book it for longer. We had the sanctuary river room which was stunning this room also had a small balcony however not all rooms do so its worth double checking, I didn't realise this and the hotel allocated the balcony room to us via email which is a fantastic touch. The room itself was large spacious and bright with modern touches but keeping its french colonial style and i don't think I've ever slept in a more comfortable or bigger bed! It must be about 10 foot long. Service: Absolutely out of this world. From the moment you arrive to check out all staff are helpful friendly and literally can't do enough to ensure your stay is a memorable one. On our last day we didn't fly till midnight so had asked if possible could we have a late check out, unfortunately for us the hotel was fully booked but we were assured that we could shower and use all facilities until we were ready to leave. 5 minutes after being told this Yega the GM called our room and offered us another room to use until 6PM as they didn't have anyone arriving to that room until 7.30PM that night. This was an amazing helpful gesture and made our last day much more comfortable the hotel only has 23 rooms all designed differently so i can see sometimes when full how it can be a logistical nightmare to accommodate such requests as ours but they were met without any problems and no extra charge. We only eat here once for dinner and the food was out of this world Kevin the head chef is always around mingling with guests telling you about his food and wines, He's a very talented knowledgeable man who really is at the top of his game in his role, He took time to tell me how they prepared and cooked the pork i had as well as asked us which strength cheeses and flavours we liked for the cheese board after dinner. Al A Carte Breakfast was amazing the both times we had it a wide range of western, healthy and asian cuisine to choose from. The eggs Benedict are a must all served with fresh fruits and juices and coffee. You can have this from 6AM till 10PM these are the little touches that set this hotel apart from anywhere else. Lastly make sure you make use of the hotels free speedboat to district 1. Miss all the madness of the traffic and speed up the saigon river taking in the views. There was only me and my partner on the boat and the captain took some amazing pics of us with the HCM skyline in the background he was great and it was a memorable experience. Villa Song Saigon i will be back!"

Heritage Suites: "Wonderful stay"

Review by: Rob W | Source: Trip Advisor
Our trip started off in style with the airport pickup in the old Mercedes. The staff were welcoming from the start with cold towels, water, and a welcome cocktail when we arrived. They weren't full during our stay so they gave us a complimentary upgrade to a Bungalow Suite. It was a very nice room and we'd happily pay for the extra charge to have this suite again. We liked that the hotel is a more intimate size than much of what you see around Siem Reap and that it was part of its neighborhood. They let us know when we arrived that there was a festival going on and we might hear monks chanting early in the morning from the temple nearby. When waking up before sunrise to head to the temples one morning we heard the very beautiful chanting, apparently they had started at 4 AM but we didn't hear them at all from our room. We had breakfast at the hotel daily which we enjoyed very much, but didn't try the restaurant at other times as we were out exploring Siem Reap. We booked a guide to visit temples and the Tonle Sap via their companion company Heritage Adventures who we would highly recommend. A great visit and we hope to be back again soon!

Pindaya Farm House: "Fantastic"

Review by: Alon-WalkInnIsrael | Source: Trip Advisor
It was our last day in Myanmar just before flying to Yangoon and back home. It was exactly the place we were looking for after visiting and staying at different hotels around Myanmar. The location and the big hut are magical, look and feel as if inside a legend. The warm hospitality and the great food made us feel at home. unfortunately we stayed there 1 night only. Could stay there for a week.

This hidden gem is amazing. Ribs you can cut with a fork and the coconut ginger ice cream are must haves.

The Twelve Hotel: "Great boutique hotel in Bangkok"

Review by: Chris S | Source: Trip Advisor
The Twelve Hotel is a relatively new boutique hotel in a beautiful residential neighborhood in Bangkok. Away from the hustle and bustle, yet steps from street food, taxis, tuk tuks, and not far from a BTS station, it is a welcome oasis in that crazy wonderful city. I arrived to a very friendly and graceful greeting, and was very pleased at a room upgrade which I had not earned in any way. So speaking of value I will of course rate very highly though I cannot say how the other rooms were. I can only imagine they were as lovely as the one I had, which was spacious and elegant. The staff were incredibly helpful with directions and instructions for my planned travel to other parts of the city. The hotel owners are French, so breakfast had great croissant, baguette, coffee, fruit, and so forth. I usually prefer local breakfasts when traveling but this was a nice respite and well done. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel for any stay in Bangkok.

Tugu Malang: "Best hotel in Malang"

Review by: Afifa A | Source: Trip Advisor
"Everytime i go to Malang, East Java, Indonesia, I always stay at this hotel. This hotel has a really different atmosphere with so much acculturation of javanese, dutch colonialism as well as chinese. All of the decorations were pretty, and photo spot-worthy. Facility is also very nice. Food and service are also excellent. Don't forget to attend the tea time service in the second floor every afternoon. Such a wonderful experience with all the traditional teas, mini cakes and sweets."

Dewakan: "Well paced degustation menu, creative"

Review by: leila1011 | Source: Trip Advisor
My husband and I took an American guest to Dewakan. We chose the 11 course tasting menu. I was looking forwards to being delighted, and we were not disappointed. The restaurant is quiet, and comfortable and we were able to enjoy each course and exchange views on the myriad of tastes exploding in our mouths. I especially loved the Yoghurt & Roselle, which I thought was so well done since each taste emerged one after another. The explanation given by the maitre d' on the ingredients and how to eat each dish added to the enjoyment of the evening. It was easy to converse, given the wonderful presentation. I did not care too much for the duck, which although delicious, was a little rich for my preference. The red snapper was very good, and a little less saltiness may have brought it up to the level of sublime. Anyway, we had a wonderful evening and enjoyed the experience tremendously!

Arumdalu: "Resort with an awesome beach front"

Review by: TaroSg | Source: Treip Advisor
An amazing private Resort with wonderful personalized service where you can have a peaceful and quiet time. The beach was really clean with fine white sand and not forgetting the many instagrammable spots. Op for the private dome at Sahang Beachfront Resto for a wonderful dining experience where you will definitely get serenaded by the waves.

The Cabochon Hotel: "What a gem"

Review by: Petertrish2015 | Source: Trip Advisor
Perfect boutique hotel. An oasis in the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. Newly built in an old style but you would never guess - very comfortable and well furnished. Good swimming pool on the roof. Very nice staff.

Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "The Highlight of our SL trip"

Review by: FrancisM1944 | Source: Trip Advisor
"We are 3 couples, 2 expats and 1 couple first time Australians to SL on a 21 day round trip. This is the 2nd time that I have used the 3day/2 night safari option. the 1st being in 2012 when the camp was actually located inside the park. To demonstrate the importance of this incredible experience, I should mention that the whole trip was based around the availability at the camp and to ensure that it did not coincide with a local holiday when hordes of holiday makers descend on the park. Well enough of the preamble, just how am I going to describe the most fantastic and memorable event? Every aspect of the safari is well planned and executed with precision. The service from all the staff is impeccable, the food absolutely delicious, varied and plentiful, The knowledge of our guides Delanka and Noel himself are unsurpassed and we saw every animal type in the park including 2 sightings of a Leopard mother and her 3 9 month old cubs. Of course these sightings can't be guaranteed but your chances are immensely improved if you put your faith in such a proven outfit. Noel Rodrigo's Leopard Safaris is an organization committed to preserving, sustaining and improving the natural environment that they and others operate in and you can only hope that they succeed as there are many obstacles to be overcome. I encourage anybody who is contemplating visiting Yala to use this organization. I am hopeful of returning in 2 years time with a much larger group and will certainly be using their services again."
