Locavore: "Don’t go home without a visit"
This was our third visit to Locavore and once again we went away fully impressed by the menu, the quality and presentation of the food, the skilled pairing of the drinks, the efficient service and the art and professionalism of the chefs as we sat at the kitchen table. You never fail to take away at least 3 ideas for un-thought of combinations of ingredients to try in your own kitchen. Bravo Locavore !Mie Cafe: "A wooden House restaurant"
We had dinner here and we ordered the Amok fish, fried vegetable beef, fried rice with Angkor Beer. This was a nice dinner. The staff here were friendly and the service was quickly. Highly recommend.Rachamankha: "Top notch"
"Was hesitant at first to stay there as the competition was strong from resort chains; i dont regret it at all! Rooms were furnished very well, amenities in the room were great, staff were friendly, the bed is a bit hard, but after i mentioned it to the reception, it was fixed. It was a superb experience as no kids are there, the pool was big and clean, you get your peace of mind. Landscaping was a highlight as theuly utilised nature to their benefit. Its located in the middle of the city and close to almost all locations you want to visit in Chiang Mai. We booked the hotel driver who was a perfect tour guide and took us around. The food menu for breakfast was not extensive, nevertheless, you can tell that the quality of the food was great and the presentation was even better. Highly recommend the place if youre going to relax and have a break from life in general, well done Rachamanka"Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Perfect peace and relaxation"
"After a hectic 2 week tour in India and Nepal this was a perfect place to relax and unwind before returning to UK. Perched on the top of a steep hill the location is amazing with fantastic views over the Annapurna mountain range and down into the Pokhara valley. One didn't mind getting up at 0545 to watch the sun rise over the mountain range, having been woken by the staff with a pot of tea delivered to the room. At the other end of the day sit on the terrace with tea and home made cakes and biscuits to watch the sun set over the mountains. In between very knowledgeable nature guides cater for all abilities with short or long walks bird and butterfly spotting. Alternatively, relax by the infinity pool gazing across to the mountains. Simple but well cooked and presented food with choice between Nepalese or Continental with most of the food grown locally or on site. All waiter served, hot and fresh from the kitchen. Tea and coffee with home made cake and biscuits on tap whenever you want. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and could not do enough for you. Marcus, the manager took the time to meet and get to know all the guests. It was such a shame that I only had 3 nights there, I would have liked to spend so much longer and experience more nature walks. Fantastic"Babe: "Awesome, loved it!"
The moment we walked in, we were pleasantly surprised by the wonderful direct view of the KL skyline. We went on a Tuesday and we had the entire restaurant to ourselves (hint to romantic couples!). We had to pay a non-refundable deposit for our reservation, probably because the restaurant needed to prepare the ingredients which were really top-notched. We took the 11 course tasting menu, and everything was quality, unique, pretty and delicious!! There were cool surprises in between too. It was an awesome experience!Tugu Lombok: "Great service & amazing beauty"
A truly wonderful resort with a fabulous sense of style and beach sophistication. A great launching point to climb Rinjani or simply relax on the quite side of Lombok. We didn't get to try the tapas restaurant as it is only open a few nights a week. This was our only disappointment.Sanak Retreat Bali: "Retreat of all retreats"
"We actually stayed here in October 2015 and took the risk of heading up into the mountains to go see what we can find. We came across this special peace of Bali and could not have been happier. The location is stunning and the concept is magical. True Balinese warmth makes this retreat a little slice of heaven. A true experience of all senses and one of the highlights of magical Bali. It is a little trek to get here away from the main coasts and hustle and bustle of Ubud but it is worth it. Step away from the tourist trail and places like this allow you to discover the real beauty of Indonesia and their people. Stayed June 2016, traveled as a couple"The Island Lodge: "Peaceful place with great food"
"We stayed at the Island Lodge in January 2017 for three nights. A wonderful, peaceful spot with fantastic service and food! We were glad that we chose a riverview room and enjoyed watching life pass us by on the Mekong. The transfer from the airport took about 2 hours. We took a coconut farm tour offered by the lodge that was great, a combo of a boat ride and bicycling through back paths around the island that had little or no traffic. We also had the same guide, Kuy (not sure how he spelled it) take us across the river to the small city of My Tho. We took bikes and visited the Buddhist temple and the fruit market and got a good taste of Vietnam life in an area with few Westerners. The Island Lodge would be a nice stop before or after the chaos of Ho Chi Minh City. Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "Brilliant"
Great place, great staff, great food. The naturalist guides were extremely competent and went way beyond just finding Leopards - though they were great at that too. The tents are comfortable. A really great place to stay.muang la: "A piece of heaven in the middle of nowhere!"
"After a rough first week of travelling and very cold weather, we were thrilled to spend a couple of nights here. Gorgeous room, with HEATERS and hot water bottles, tastefully decorated, lovely bathrooms, with home grown bathsalts. The setting is delightful, on the river, and the infinity pool on its own island was a good place to unwind with a book when the sun comes out. All the little hidey holes have access to drinks and snacks and service is never far away. The spa itself, with the two huge hot spring-fed pools are elevated so you have a view of the surrounding countryside and are a panacea for weary limbs, and the massage sets you up for the next part of the journey! The five course dinner is light and carefully crafted, full of flavour, and the cocktails inventive and yummy. Little braziers kept us warm while we ate, and a large boma-type fireplace was comforting for an aperitif. We had a long walk on our free day round the local Khamu village, and enjoyed seeing village life at a slow pace, the pace it is lived. Excursions can be arranged to nearby hill tribes, but we didn't know about that. Even though the local staff dont speak much English it is good to see the management trying to give back other local community by providing jobs and an enhanced local spa for the village. I can't rate this place highly enough "
