Talabgaon Castle: "Hidden Treasure"
A little outside Jaipur this polo retreat is definitely a must visit resort. If you are a group of travellers then your search for perfect escape from city is over. From food to service to privacy this resort has everything that a traveler requires. Rooms are huge with grand bathrooms, Definitely a "Castle" that you should not miss going to.Le Passe-Temps: "A cosy place to relax away from the crowds"
This small hotel is set on a quiet beach overlooking Ao Phang Nga bay, Beer and the staff are wonderfully attentive, and do everything to make your stay perfect. The sitting room / reception is beautiful, with a resident barman in the evenings. The rooms are well furnished, cosy and the hotel is ideal spot to relax after exploring the canyons of the Ao Phang Nga magrove forest - one of the most magical experiences I have ever had or taking a slightly less serene boat trip around the islands. The only shame about exploring the bay itself is that it is often populated by large crowds of lifejacket wearing tourists bobbing about in the water at every spot with a nice beach. The hotel's own beach is deserted as you can only swim for a couple of hours at high tide, so creating a glorious Robinson Crusoe feeling in such a busy area. The hotel is simple, but everything you need is well done. To be recommendedThe Hue House: "Excellent"
Good food and great service. We went there twice i.e. on the first day that we arrived Ho Chi Minh and on the last day that we left HCM city. Everything was just perfect!Bali Jiwa Villa: "Unforgettable"
We stayed here in May 2014 as a part of our honeymoon. We enjoyed every second. The location is fantastic. We loved the atmosphere and wouldn't change a thing in this place. Time passes and we really miss Bali..Really hope to come back someday!Neeleshwar Hermitage: "“Relax and revive – the perfect place.”"
"We arrived in the dark after a tiring ten-hour car drive from Kochi and I thought I heard thunder. In fact it was the Arabian Sea pounding the extensive beach and in the morning we could see this magical place. A healthy breakfast on the beach and we were ready to relax. Many have given full positive descriptions so I don’t need to repeat those and the web site is accurate. Instead I will highlight just a few things that impressed me. I now have to watch my diet carefully and the wholemeal breads, fresh fruits, variety of fish are perfect. The menu includes various juices and I went for spinach but asked for some ginger too; I bet that will be on the list next time. All the food is superb, healthy and interesting. The aerial sketch on the website does not do it justice; there are many palm trees and the gardens are quite beautiful, spacious and well maintained. Contrary to some other comments I would recommend a sea view cottage without hesitation. There are only 18 cottages and they are carefully arranged; the peace is almost tangible. In fact the whole place has been designed by a skilful hand with great attention to detail and that includes the cottage interiors. Anyone who reads my reviews will know that I look at issues that might be relevant to those with mobility problems. There are a few steps to each cottage but the pathways should be OK. Internally the doors have very strong springs and help would be needed. For those with weak knees or limited use of limbs may find the bathroom a bit difficult. As a retired architect I know how it grates to put in grab handles. I hope the owners will consider seriously putting one close to the WC and another in the wonderful non-slip shower area. These things are important for those in need but I must emphasise that standard of design is very high. I wanted a full Ayurvedic body massage and had three; all were excellent. All that others have said about the atmosphere, management, welcoming and helpful staff etc. I endorse. No one could want for anything more. My wife and I seriously considered extending our week-long stay which is a testament in itself. Room Tip: Sea view cottage but all seemed very good."Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Hauntingly beautiful"
"Staying at the Blue Mansion was an experience in itself! One of the highlights of our time in Penang! This courtyard house is exquisite beyond words, from the lobby to its inner courtyards. Calm and quiet, we were immediately transported to another century. Guests can join any of the daily tours for free. The guides were fantastic in explaining the history of Cheong Fatt Tze, the man and the house. There are small displays that remain open throughout the day that guests can browse at leisure. The mansion is bright and open in during the day. And turns mysterious and haunting at night with its glowing red lanterns. One of the most romantic places we've ever stayed. Breakfast was simple and elegant, with a la carte options as well. We had dinner at the restaurant which was good but not particularly memorable. Everyday, the staff will bring some small desserts for afternoon tea (always different and carefully created!). The location is also very central. Right next to a large covered open air food market with every type of cuisine imaginable (and very cheap). The hotel also provides bikes for rent for free but bikes are not all well maintained. We will never forget our stay at the Blue Mansion and if we return to Penang, we will not stay anywhere else."The Hue House: "Excellent service and food"
This was my first visit to Ho Chi Minh and been to this restaurant 3 times for dinner during my stay of 5 nights there. The food was fantastic, price reasonable, excellent and friendly service from crews especially crew name Anh Phuc. My family has good time here. Appreciated. Definately will visit again on my next trip.David’s Kitchen: "Best Restaurant in Chiang Mai"
My fiance and I went to David's Kitchen on our honeymoon and had one of the best meals of our lives. When we arrived, the owner, David was waiting there to greet us and was one of the most personable, kind people we have ever met. This restaurant is truly his passion and it shows. The service was impeccable and the food was unique and delicious. I can't say enough about this wonderful establishment. If you have one might out in Chiang Mai, please find your way to David's Kitchen.Discover Muang La | Visit Laos | Luxury & Boutique Hotel: "Probably the best place I have ever stayed"
"My family and I spent two nights in this hotel as part of our trip around Laos in early January. I was immediately impressed by the homeliness of the hotel and the warm welcome we received from the lovely Dutch manager. The pool is absolutely stunning and the hot pools are so nice to spend time in. My only qualm is that the water in the hot spring is normally far too hot so it might be slightly better to mix the water with some cooler water. The staff are all very attentive, however the a la carte nature of the meals means that it can often take a little while for your coffee to arrive. The quality of the food is Michelin star. The dinners are amazing and I love how they involve so much local food. I would say that there is possibly a little too few carbohydrates for my teenage brother and I and some bread on the table would not have gone to waste. The rooms are really very nice, the shower was really warm unlike some of the other places we had stayed in Laos. The things I like most about this hotel are the ways in which they think about everything you could need. For example they offer to clean your shoes for you after a day of walking around the mountain villages or how they place towels by the hot tubs so you don't have to remember your own or how they create a little fire pit next to your table at dinner to keep you warm. My favourite must have been when we came home from dinner the first night to find a hot water bottle in the bed. Absolutely amazing! The activity that we went on was really interesting. Our guide was very well informed and answered all our questions. They were also very willing to adapt to our requests such as visiting the local health centre."Glenburn Tea Estate: "Outstanding"
"We stayed 3 nights for a family birthday celebration. We were 5 adults. It was a wonderful respite after travelling the rough roads of Sikkim. I agree with the earlier reviews and experiences and won't repeat the wonderful activities available. We did the walk to the river which we really enjoyed. On arrival (after being met with cool refreshing flannels and homemade lemonade) I lay down on a wooden bench by river and within seconds a lovely man appeared with pillow and large cushion for bench. I enjoyed a snooze while lunch on the barbecue. Wonderful care and our needs were met before we realised we had a need. Lovely lovely people. We chose not to dine communally but enjoyed wonderful candlelit family dinners on the terrace of our bungalow, served by a lovely gentle caring man. The drive into Darjeeling is long, bumpy and slow. I would recommend you don't waste a day of your precious time in Glenburn. Rather spend two nights in Darjeeling before or after Glenburn. We would have liked at least another night in Glenburn. It really is worth the journey in."
