The Village House: "Tranquil"

"If you're looking for bright lights, loud music and alcohol till dawn forget the Village House!!!. If on the other hand you are looking for a peaceful retreat away from all the hustle and bustle this is the place. We spent 3 days here and it was amazing. The staff were pleasant, helpful and friendly. Rooms kept spotless and food very very good. Yes its off the beaten track and the beach is different, not that good for swimming and very hot with no shade, but once back in the Village jump in the pool...problem solved!!!! Would we stay here again....most definitely. Thanks to all concerned for making out stay a good one. Room Tip: All rooms have a view of the pool."

"We were staying next door at the Ahimsa Villas and popped in here for last minute dinner before we flew home I wish we had more time - it was amazing - tapas type dishes - all superbly presented. They recommended 3 dishes per person which was about right We followed the advice of the staffer our selection of dishes Highly recommended"

Supanniga Eating Room: "Supanniga Eating Room"

The restaurant is located in the Sukhumvit district of Bangkok. Despite being on a main street, and having the address written in Thai, our taxi-driver still didn't find it easily (not unusual in Bangkok) so best to get information about the location before you set out, preferably a map. The place is relatively small and fashionably designed, the food is gourmet Thai seafood (apparently from Eastern Thailand). There's a nice cocktail list (and wines, although we didn't try those). In other words, it's at the other end of the scale to the average Thai eatery. Prices were reasonable considering all factors. Between two of us we had a crab curry, crispy stir-fried fish (a kind of Thai version of whitebait), a prawn and bean stir-fry, white rice and black rice. Our waitress was quite a character and spoke very good English. All very good. All in all, a pleasant experience.

Arumdalu: "Calming Escape from Urban Life"

"If you ever find yourself in a sea-tuation in need for a peaceful green retreat and a doze of Vitamin Sea, then the answer you're looking for is Arumdalu Private Resort in Belitung. My first-ever trip to Belitung and Arumdalu surpassed all my expectations of a private resort in a small developing island- less known than Bali. We stayed a total of three days and two nights. Absolutely ah-ma-zing! Throughout our stay, the staff members are all very friendly, extremely polite, and offer helpful services 24/7. On my very first night, we were having trouble with the wifi connection from our multiple devices. It was past midnight when I called the front desk for assistance. The receptionist assisted us for a long time over the phone and maintained his professionalism all throughout. We were very thankful for his patience and kindness. The whole facility is really gorgeous, with beautiful architectural details and greenery. Everything seems to be thoughtfully designed and managed for the sole purpose of comfort and privacy. This place offers absolute privacy (underlined and bolded.) On top of its general secluded location and the private beach, each villa is designed with complete privacy in mind: gated entrance, dense greenery as partitions between villas, and a personal swimming pool. There is also a sense of exclusivity through minimal interaction with the staff on daily basis. For instance, there is no specific timeframe for room cleaning service and the staff wouldn't knock on your door to clean up your space. Everything is only a phone call away. How convenient! Another highlight is ‘Sahang Beachfront’ restaurant. The restaurant evokes a strong cozy ambiance. The wooden glassed space with home-styled table decorations creates an extremely familiar intimacy. The veggies and fruits used as ingredients are organically grown and freshly picked from in their own garden. Bottom-line: the food here is worth the calories to satisfy your palate. Personal side note, as an architect that values design and craftsmanship as well as an avid believer of living a sustainable lifestyle, I feel an overwhelming sense of satisfaction staying in a resort that proactively shows and promotes its core values of their thoughtful quality design and eco-friendliness. Oh! Did I mention that I saw 6 dolphins by the shore while waiting for sunrise? Such a therapeutic comfort. Villa Mathis: "Graduation Holiday"

As a group of active teenagers graduating college, villa mathis was a nice retreat from our usual hustle and bustle. However when attempting to explore Bali, we found that villa mathis was a touch secluded, but this is not the blame of the villa at all. When we did explore, the staff would help arrange taxi's and suggest locations for any activity. The villa was of pristine quality and the staff were attentive and very helpful.

Locavore: "Michelin worthy!!"

"Wow I came to Locavore with my girlfriend on an evening were the the rain was truly pouring and we were drenched as we walked in. My girlfriend and I had the tasting menu which was outstanding. The staff knew every aspect of each dish and I hope the chef gets the staff to taste the dishes because their knowledge seemed that they had as the waitresses and waiters really did know their stuff. Lovely atmosphere and great staff. Good attention to detail. Great tasting food If this restaurant was in Paris or London it would have cost near £300, however with it being in Bali it was just over £100. Great value for such good quality. Great evening and recommend to anyone to go to Locavore"

4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Floating Rivers Dream"

Just came back from a unique hotel experience. Being situated in the middle of nowhere allowed me, my husband and our four kids to relax for the 4 days we were there. We spent most of our time swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding in the river. I would say 3 nights is the perfect amount of time to go. The food is amazing as our the staff

Inle Princess Resort: "Wow! A magical place to stay"

"This amazing lakeside hotel was my favourite hotel during our trip to Burma. The tranquil arrival by boat set the scene for a wonderful couple of nights stay. Hibiscus flowers decorated the bed and the towels in the bathroom. I loved the outdoor shower and nice to have the loungers to relax on to watch the sun set over the lake. The restaurant had a nice selection of Asian and European dishes and the wine list featured some local wines that were from a vineyard only a few miles away. A magical place to stay "

Tugu Lombok: "Brilliant stay, amazing place"

"We stayed at Hotel Tugu for 4 nights and we both came away saying it was easily the best hotel we had ever stayed in! Every whim is catered for, anything you could imagine they make possible, and always with a smile. The food is outstanding, and the location of the hotel is fantastic with a stunning white sand beach and views of the mountains. An incredible place to stay, you won't be disappointed if you book this hotel! Can't wait to return"

Le Du Wine Bar & Restaurant: "One of Asia’s best"

Modern Thai at its best with this award winning restaurant with it talented young Chef whose partner does a mean wine pairing to go with your meal. Highly recommended
