The Village House: "Fabulous retreat-you must stay here"

Review by: Emily T | Source: Trip Advisor
"We stayed at The Village house in mid August this year (2015), and we loved every minute of our stay. The rooms are luxurious, wonderfully comfortable and thoughtfully and tastefully decorated. The hotel itself is stunning, everything has been done for you to effortlessly enjoy the stunning surroundings and allow you to fully relax. We took lots of trips from The Village House, all of which were excellent and extremely hassle free. We ate in the restaurant every day and never had a bad meal, again a really thoughtfully put together menu and everything was fabulous. The greatest accolade goes tot eh staff, they are amazing, made us feel very welcome and at home, fantastic experience."

The River Resort: "Magical spot on the mighty Mekong"

Review by: SaigonSophie | Source: Trip Advisor
This is a peaceful and tranquil spot, views of the river and surrounding mountains are stunning. Sunrise over the water was mesmerising. Chamapasak is a sweet little town and Wat Phou, an enchanting temple complex, is a short moped ride away. The staff were charming and attentive and helpful.

Le Du Wine Bar & Restaurant: "A brilliant fusion of modern french with Thai flavours"

Review by: BritinBangkok | Source: Trip Advisor
"Food at Le Du was quite exquisite. A simple menu with about 12 dishes in total spread across 4 courses. Each course has 3 dishes and you select each one for each of the 4 courses. The wine menu is extensive with reds from Portugal an interesting selection. Fusing modern French culinary dining with a Thai twist by adding subtle flavors of Thailand really made the dishes unique and stand out. I generally find Thai food too overbearing sometimes being too sweet, too salty, or both on most occasions. Even the top ranked restaurants like Nahm the food is horrendously salty to be almost unpalatable. Gaggan can sometimes be equally overkill on the salt. But at Le Du for once I was always looking forward to the next dish to taste how the chef gently infused Thai flavors into the his creations and almost on all occasions he delivered. I thought the desserts failed to carry the brilliance all the way through to the end with the cheesecake dish tasting and looking like it was from BreadTalk with a scoop of ice cream added. Unfortunate considering the previous 3 dishes were outstanding. Will definitely give the restaurant another try when they change their menu. "

David’s Kitchen: "A ‘must go’ in Chiang Mai"

Review by: Alan M | Source: Trip Advisor
"My wife and I went here for a celebration night on our honeymoon and were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived. David's team spared no effort in making this a special night. The menu and wine list are unmatched anywhere with superb service. The food is absolutely amazing and if this was in London customers would be queueing out the door. The restaurant is only a very short taxi ride from the hustle and bustle of the city centre and the premises are a contemporary haven of tranquility. Worth going to Chiang Mai for this wonderful experience alone!"

Rachamankha: "Surrounded by tasteful chinese art"

Review by: jonomad1 | Source: Trip Advisor
Its hard to imagine that this secret retreat is in the heart of Chaing Mai - The hotel is absolutely gorgeous - exquisite - so charming - the furniture is to die for - so tasteful - my husband and I adored our stay there - and because it was so central - we were able to visit the market by foot just 5 mins away. What a gem this place is - and I loved the symmetry - wow just awesome. Food was fab - and every afternoon my hubby and I would just sit and drink tea and soak it all in. Loved the place

Cuca: "Truly fantastic food"

Review by: dereksimpson126 | Source: Trip Advisor
Wonderful food in a fantastic restaurant. Great care has been taken to create a dish which produced the most amazing combination of flavours and textures. It is unusual to find a restaurant that produces a range of tapas that each dish tastes incredible Derek Simpson Scotland

Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Elegant food and service"

Review by: getmeonaplane_10 | Source: Trip Advisor
"My wife and I enjoyed a dinner here as part of our honeymoon this week. I had the 6 course vegetarian menu, and my wife had one of the six course omnivorous options (including a frogs legs option!). All courses were simply superb. Beautiful balanced flavours were supported by technical flair. Service was perfect, warm yet unobtrusive. The decor was subtle and the atmosphere calm. Truly, this was one of the best meals I have ever enjoyed. Thank you!"

Villa Song Saigon: "Just perfect"

Review by: Maryline S | Source: tripadvisor.com
"Villa song is a little gem of a boutique hotel by the Saigon river away from busy HCMC, which can be reached by free shuttle in under 25 min. It has a pool which is a godsend after a hot day in town. The room was lovely spacious and well appointed from the Nespresso machine, kettle, free mini bar, apple tv remote if you wish to download some stuff... i could go on and on. (...) The personnel was very attentive eager to help always with a smile and well organized, which is a credit to the management team. This was the most perfect way to end our tour of Vietnam, we left on a high note though wishing we had stayed longer. I don't think you will find anything better that this hidden gem"

Maison Polanka: "Amazing! A paradise!"

Review by: Lindsy C | Source: Trip Advisor
"This was my second visit to Madison Polanka and it did not disappoint. From the minute you walk through the gate, you are greeted with peace, tranquility and beauty. The staff greet you by name, go out of their way to be helpful in every way but are not intrusive. They are thoughtful to your every need. Whether it be a cold towel when you arrive back from town, a cup of tea after your massage or buying you goggles from town when you have forgotten yours. No request is too little. This is by far the best boutique hotel I have stayed at- ever! The food is above expectation. Breakfasts are served next to the pool and lunch and dinner are a'la carte. The fish amok is amazing. Free, well maintained bikes are available for a 15 minute cycle into town, which include water, locks and ponchos during the rainy season. There is also the Friends restaurant, Marum a 5 minute walk that has beautiful food and is a NGO project. The Khmer house is out of this world, and would definitely recommend for a special romantic getaway. The rooms inside the house are also all beautiful and would thoroughly recommend. I really can't say enough about this place. You must go! Special thanks to Cathy the manager and Lawrence."

MAISONS WAT KOR: "Relax and enjoy"

Review by: travellersalways | Source: tripadvisor.com
Spacious Cambodian style rooms with excellent amenities set in lush tropical gardens. Staff could not have been more helpful. A little out of town, but no problems with arranging transport. Nice pool. Good breakfast. Nice to sit out on the balcony of the room and enjoy the setting.
