4 rivers: "A hidden gem"
We only stayed two nights at 4 Rivers Lodge but it was totally worth it and stunning! We have been very much happy with this experience! it's the best way to relax and be in contact with the nature: no wifi, phone, no TV, no computer. We spent our days cooling off in the Tatai River, phishing, kayaking, having a massage, discovering the little island in front of the resort and trying out the excellent fresh food available at the restaurant. All the tents are very private and comfortable. The shower is a gem! It was simply an amazing experience that we'll never forget! we are happy we chose this place for our honeymoon trip! so peaceful and immersed in the wildest nature of Cambodia! Surreal and beautiful place to stay, tucked away behind some unassuming gates this hidden gem of a boutique hotel lends a completely different perspective to Bangkok. Admittedly it is not for everyone, it is not large and corporate, there isn’t 24 hour room service etc. However, the staff are incredibly helpful, the rooms and grounds are breathtaking and the food is excellent, its is somewhere I would like to return to again and again.Mie Cafe: "Casual dining but very good food"
"We made a reservation via their website for Saturday lunch at 1.30pm. The restaurant had many available tables when we arrived. The 3 of us had a good mix of starters and main course and Mango Mojito which was very tasty. Please see my photos for all the delicious foods we had. "It's just crazy how the guys and gals in the kitchen put together the meals. We enjoyed every single bite of our 7 course meal which turned out to be something around 16 courses! The drink pairing was perfectly fitting to the dishes. Service was nice and we had a great talk with the chefs while they were cooking since we were sitting at the kitchen bar, which was also an amazing experience. Unlike other hotels on the lake, as your motor boat nears the resort, the motor is stopped and a local rows the boat in using his right thigh! That was definitely a unique experience for us but it also contributed to our resort being quiet and restful. We were greeted warmly and escorted to our private chalet, which had a beautiful living area, a veranda overlooking the lake, a large bathroom with bath tub and an outdoor shower. We definitely felt pampered during our one night at this wonderful resort. The dinner and our buffet breakfast the next morning did not disappoint. kep and nearby Kampot are wonderful places to visit. Samanea Resort is set up totally to be by yourself, lovely pool and great view. it does however lack a bar. I like to sit in a bar area, not just be servedTugu Lombok: "Best ever"
My wife and I stayed in July 2015 and we were so impressed by the hotel, its design, The location and best of the best : the team there, you feel like a VIP, a family member and they are smiling and more then helpful. Our stay at Villa Song was a wonderful experience. Our room was beautiful with an excellent view of the river. The food was very good along with their service. The hotel provides a convenient boat ride to the city which only takes about 10 minutes.
