"This is a beautiful place, hidden next to the Exchange Tower. The location is quite convenient with walking distance to nearby shopping mall and the train station. We were greeted by friendly and staff members with an attitude of ever wanting to help, so the check in process was easy. The rooms were big and great. Extremely large bed and comfortable bed. "I stayed here with my wife for 3 nights and must say that it was a very pleasant experience. From beginning to end excellent service and very good professional staff/personel. It's a retro style resort with a tasty tappas restaurant. Good bartenders and the food is excellent and fresh. We felt very welcome and the breakfast is the best we had in Thailand. 2 dishes to choose from and fresh juice and good coffee. And refills all the time! The room was perfect, bed was big and comfortable. Fresh bottles of water and fresh towels every day. Swimmingpool is nice and calm. Free transport to center of Pai (fun in the evening). Also good live music at the river bar and in the restaurant. The whole experiance is great and relaxed. That's the holiday feeling! Just returned from the 2 day, one night cruise on the Bassac - and I want to give my warmest recommendation. The cruise is excellent value for money, the staff extremely friendly and the food is one of the best we have eaten all over SE Asia. If you want to spend two relaxed days on a little ship - choose this company! The cozy cabins are spotless clean and you even got air conditioning. The company is managed by a French owner so everything is up to the highest European standard. Even if you think the price is steep - it is worth every penny! We spent five days at the Hermitage and the end of our visit to Kerela. It was the perfect end to our holiday. Our cottage was clean and comfortable. The grounds are beautiful and the situation stunning. The food in both restaurants was superb and some of the best we have had in India. The staff were all helpful and charming. This place is food divinity! The waiter offered me for trying the lamb chop. Uhmmm no words required, the lamb was very tasty!!! So juicy and tender. This place serves Japanese tapas with a mix of western Japanese. The food prepared here was something I had not seen elsewhere and was delicious. The staffs are very nice and the seafood are very fresh as some of their ingredients are flown in from Japan. I love the atmosphere where you dine next to the swimming pool. "We'd heard of Cuisine Wat Damnak for years and with a recent trip to Angkor, we could not miss the opportunity to give it a go. It certainly didn't disappoint - even if you're not familiar with Khmer cuisine, this place is a treat and an education ... it certainly made us more curious. The menu is seasonal and changes frequently - you get a choice of 2 tasting menus of either 5 or 6 courses. The most expensive it gets is USD31/person without alcohol - pricy for the rest of Siem Reap but a steal to dine in one of Asia's top 50 restaurants. The wine and beverage menu is extensive and the chef-proprieter Joannès Rivière will be on hand to recommend you something that suits.
