Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Amazing and unique hotel"
We loved our six nights and were lucky enough to stay in Escoy - the room with a gold leaf timber Chinese screen. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and the Georgetown location fascinating. We also had an excellent meal at the Indigo restaurant.Supanniga Eating Room: "Delicious lunch in a fabulous setting"
Casual but well thought out setting; more importantly a very satisfying meal! Fresh & tastey; & service was efficient. Few dishes that I saw on menu that I will make a return visit in the near future.Villa Song: "Great Boutique Hotel"
Our stay here was very short but we very much enjoyed the attentive service and the wonderful terrace by the river. Very relaxing. A perfect spot for drinks and dinner. A nice change to the hotels downtown.Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Stunning views of Annapurnas"
"Loved this sanctuary at the foothills of the Annapurnas. The host was Super friendly and had dinner with us our first night. We had a villa just near the restaurant/bar which was quintessentially Nepalese. This is not for Budget travellers as the restaurant is on the expensive side and there's no where else in the immediate vicinity to dine. Stayed March 2017, traveled with friends"Villa Mathis: "Wonderful stay"
Our stay at La Villa Mathis was simply the best we did in Bali! The team is lovely, the room classy and cosy, the food is exquisite, the Spa is lovely and of course the four pools are just amazing !! The whole place is magical and so peaceful ! Thank you Sam for your great welcoming and your kindness :) We definitely recommend this hotel !Villa Song Saigon: "Wonderful Gem of a Boutique Hotel – Do Not Miss"
"A beautifully restored French Colonial property, Villa Song boasts just 23 rooms in a low key neighborhood, surrounded by expat residences and international schools. Hard to imagine that not much more than a decade ago, this area was pretty much swamp land! Before going, you really should know what Villa Song is not: - This is not a large chain hotel - every contact you have with the staff is friendly and warm, and chances are you may not know their names but they will certainly know yours. You're not just a face in the crowd. However, for being of such an intimate size, Villa Song has the extras that you don’t often find in similar boutique hotels: a gorgeous long swimming pool for doing laps or sunning yourself by, a pretty decently equipped gym room (machines & free weights), and a spa that doesn’t break the bank. - This is not a property you visit to party at as there's no late night bar or club thumping away downstairs (thank goodness). Along the same lines, don’t expect around-the-clock room service – we certainly didn’t miss it, since there’s a ton of late night delicious eats in this city. - Having said that, this is not the most accessible hotel to popular street eats and the sights, but it's surprisingly easy to get around, thanks to the complimentary hotel boat shuttle that zips you up/down the Saigon River to/from the Cau Mong pier on the border of Districts 4 & 1. These run on a schedule (book at the reception beforehand), and if there isn't one when you need it, an Uber saves you the hassle of dealing with unscrupulous cabbies, and takes you to/from the middle of District 1 within 15min for around US$6- US$7. Now onto what this beautiful property IS: - It is infinitely charming. Every room is unique, and even the same room type will vary in size. You'll get the same awesome water pressure in the shower though, which we loved, and lightning fast wi-fi. Also, in our case, although the Sanctuary room that we were upgraded to was a bit petite in size, we had a wonderful good-sized balcony that overlooked the river...perfect for a mid-afternoon beer (complimentary from the minibar) or a snooze. Breakfasts by the river are a calming way to start the day, no matter what time you decide to rise (!!!), and the food is well- portioned and delicious. And THAT iced Vietnamese coffee...my partner and I will be dreaming of those until our next visit! - It is incredibly service oriented. From check-in to check-out, and for our every want in-between, the staff at Villa Song offer up their help with warmth and smiles...we felt truly welcomed and at home. Besides our complimentary room upgrade upon our late night check-in, we were surprised with a cheesecake plate that was decorated with warm wishes (the trip was a belated birthday trip for my partner) – we were very touched. - It is really good value for money. While it’s not the cheapest hotel around, it certainly delivers much better bang for your buck than you’d expect for similar boutique properties, especially if you can find a deal through a third party website. Bathrooms are fully equipped with toiletries, toothbrushes and other bits you may have forgotten, hairdryers, and in-room Nespresso and minibar is complimentary (albeit with a selection that’s a bit spare), and the value-add of the boat shuttle to town that I mentioned previously takes it to the next level. Thank you to everyone at the Villa Song for a wonderful stay! The next time we visit, we will definitely be indulging ourselves with a stay at one of your beautifully appointed suites. We can’t wait."Tugu Malang: "Great Service"
We just spent one night here but we were able even to enjoy the Afternoon Tea. Hotel situated not far away from Railway Station and staff came over to pick us up. Front Desk very helpful. Rooms were nice but nothing spectacular. Nice Swimming pool. Great and very ample breakfast. Service was the highlight here. No doubt. The Island Lodge: "Excellent Hotel perfect for relaxation"
"This gem is located within Mekong delta and offers piece and quiet, beautiful ambiente and very helpful and friendly staff. There are a few rooms which ensure no mass tourism. Slow food and tranquility, perfect hospitality and harmony are the keywords. We stayed there for 3 days and enjoyed a pre-paradise experience. Especially the spa with different types of massages is a soul-supporting experience. The rooms are clean with the option to use an airconditioning. The bathroom and shower is clean and showing lots of litte details which sum up to a very special hotel. At every step one finds another detail which makes this hotel a personal little home. We felt at home instantly and will return as soon as possible. For our little lady of the age of 9 it was a paradise. The pool is clean (which we did not spot everywhere in even more expensive hotels in South East Asia). The Coconut Smoothie became her favourite drink. :-) We enjoyed boat cruises and a visit at the next town's pagoda with impressive statues. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful - even by Asian standards. The transfer from HCMC to the hotel gave us a good possibilty for a first insight to people and country. We recommend this gem for everyone who seeks piece and quiet in a very special atmosphere within a safe and clean environment. We are looking forward to our next stay at the Island Lodge."Babe: "Awesome, loved it!"
The moment we walked in, we were pleasantly surprised by the wonderful direct view of the KL skyline. We went on a Tuesday and we had the entire restaurant to ourselves (hint to romantic couples!). We had to pay a non-refundable deposit for our reservation, probably because the restaurant needed to prepare the ingredients which were really top-notched. We took the 11 course tasting menu, and everything was quality, unique, pretty and delicious!! There were cool surprises in between too. It was an awesome experience!Inle Princess Resort: "Best on the lake"
From the minute the engine on the boat turns off and the driver starts to paddle into the inlet towards the hotel you know this is good. Magical setting - good bar and restaurant, wonderful staff, great spa treatments, lots of activities can be arranged. Nothing is too much trouble.
