Arumdalu: "Highly Personalised Service, Ecological Balanced Resort, Amazing Experience"
"This is one of the place I wished I could rate more than 5 star. The service is highly personalised and awesome the moment you meet the driver at the airport. The driver made us feel very comfortable and kept us interested for the 1hr or so drive from the airport to the resort. The resort had only 10 villas, a huge private beach with soft white sand. The whole thing seems to be made to enhanced our experiences staying in this resort. Everything in the restaurant taste awesome. The vegetables and salads are picked up fresh from the garden. We had a romantic dinner package outside. Appreciate the staff setting the whole thing up for us for hours. Was a good experience. We took a batik making course, it was very interesting and we get to keep the batik we made :) Being in rainy season, lots of mosquitos, but bearable. The design for the whole place seems to take ecosystem balances in check. No mosquitos in the villa. The most expensive place we have ever booked, but we will definitely be back. The only bad thing is the Internet gets weaker the further we are from the reception and the restaurant, but hey... if you are in this place, you don't need internet and you dont want to use internet. Enjoy what this place and the nature has to offer! Belitung is a paradise, please keep the island that way (don't turn it into a Bali). Every resort in the Beltung should be built like this one... keeping the ecosystem balance in check. Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"Mume: "Similar to Raw"
"Came here for a meal with overseas friends They don't have set meals, only a la carte. And the menu is short. There were 4 of us, and we ordered 80% of the menu. Almost every dish was spectacular - liver brulee, butter with beef fat, oysters, prawn with cheese, beef, fish etc. Service was friendly and excellent Overall similar to RAW , with slightly less hype and fame Will return"The Island Lodge: "A bijou at the Mekong Delta"
Our stay at The Island Lodge was simply awesome. The food is great and the service is extremely polite and attentive. Michel has taken his time to personally talk to us and make guests feel welcome which is much appreciated and adds to the warm experience we had. The whole experience is rounded up with the nice swimming pool at the Mekong river and the Spa which invite to some relaxing moments.Villa Song Saigon: "Loved it"
"Wow! We had a wonderful stay at the Villa Song and we enjoyed every minute of it. Villa Song is a boutique hotel with nice garden, lovely pool and a small gym. The hotel has great location on Saigon River away from the bustle of the city center. The boat service to town makes things much easier. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The restaurant is right on the riverand the food was excellent, breakfast was included and could be had any time during the day. We would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again."Arumdalu: "Family Vacation"
"Overall, I think the resort was spot on. It had everything a family who enjoys traveling needs. Massive rooms that can fit up to around 5 people, though you need to have additional beds that can be provided by the resort. I can say this as I travelled with a huge family of 23. Not only the rooms, the culinary served there was also spectacular though it takes a while to prepare. It has it's own flavor and really has it's speciality for each meal. Though the food looks relatively small, it really changes your mind when you finish it as it makes your stomach full. The activities are also very enjoyable and most of them can be done by everyone. The resort provides kayaks, that can be used in the secluded beach, there are bicycles that can be used to ride along the road heading to a spot to hike, Batu Baginda. Though the route can be challenging for some people, once you reach the spot you can really enjoy the view and the whole trip was worth it. It takes around 2 hours to get there and back. (these activities needs an extra cost) It was late December when me and my family went there so luckily, they gave us a great new year experience by the beach. They had tents prepared for us and there were music to accompany us. But the best part of the event were the fireworks, they were spectacular as they were endless and massive."Chakrabongse Villas & Residences: "Hospitality and Location"
Exceptional location and warm hospitality. Our family of four booked one of the river suites and one of the garden rooms for 4 days over Christmas. First off, the property is a gem in the heart of the historic area. It makes it very easy to walk to many of the top sites, take the ferry, see the flower and medicine markets and more. Secondly, both Atom and Ohm and their warmth made the stay exceptional. They provided so much historical and local knowledge that was pure gold. Thirdly, the owner, the third generation from one of the last kings, was in town, and she kindly sent around champagne for Christmas. A nice touch. And finally, the river view for dinner and breakfast was lovely. This is a true oasis in the heart of Bangkok. Skip the soulless hotel and experience a Thai boutique villa. Thank you again, Atom and Ohm!Inle Princess Resort: "Amazing place"
"Just left after a couple of nights in a Lake View villa. What an amazing place, difficult to know where to start... Firstly, the location is incredible. Arriving by long tail boat is a unique experience and the whole resort is gorgeous. Secondly, the rooms are large and luxurious - lovely facilities including the outdoor shower. Thirdly, the staff are very friendly and the food is excellent. Finally, so much to do... we had two great half day trips on the lake and cycled to the vineyard on the last afternoon. Would definitely recommend a trip to Inle Lake"David’s Kitchen: "Memorable experience"
The restaurant had a very nice atmosphere, the music was vocal jazz and relaxing. The restaurant created a lovely mood, suitable for couples or even families. The staff was extremely polite and friendly. The food was exceptionally delicious. The beef was tender. The dessert was also special. The service was great. No dissapointment for sure.Les Maisons Wat Ko: "Distinguished by excellent staff; Best if you want quiet away from center"
"This property is very lovely, with a beautiful, peaceful, jungle-like setting. If you want a quiet restful time away from the hustle of the town center, this is your place. Rooms are rustic, but comfortable and gorgeous in the traditional Cambodian style. The pool and grounds have a wonderful spa-like feel and are particularly sumptuous at night. But the physical appeal of this property is completely surpassed by the excellence of the staff. Every single staff member was cheerful, solicitous and kind, greeting us with a welcoming smile every time we returned from an outing. They excel even by Cambodian standards of hospitality, which are very high. The food, although beautifully presented, was not particularly distinguished and rather expensive for Cambodia. We've actually had very nice dinners in France for less. The prix fixe dinner is a good choice if you want to stay at the property and relax in the fabulous setting. But if you want to get around and explore, you can find better food in town for much less. For those who do want to spend a bit of time in town, this might not be the best choice. It is a very long walk (we only did it once and that was enough). The tuk tuk arrangement was also sub-optimal. You can't just walk out the door here and grab a tuk tuk -- there aren't any around. The hotel has to call one for you. We also had a little confusion over this arrangement: the hotel actually pays the driver (charging you a markup). So don't make the mistake of paying the driver again, as we did. And as far as we could tell, you pay for a round trip whether or not the driver returns you. So, on our first trip, the hotel billed us $7 for what was only a one way trip. We paid a different driver $2 to get back (note the unmarked-up price). None of this is a big deal or a serious criticism of the hotel. It's just a heads-up that you should clarify with the hotel exactly what you are paying for when you get a tuk-tuk, so there will be no surprises. Stayed March 2017, traveled with family"Tugu Lombok: "A Week in Paradise"
"My husband, adult son and I spent a week here two weeks ago. It is simply paradise. The hotel is not large - 32 suites I believe - and is set in very large immaculately kept grounds with the brilliant blue ocean on one side. We had booked a Bhagavat Gita suite and it was perfect. With a beautiful garden at the back and an equally lovely one on the other side with large plunge pool and sun bed leading out directly to the gardens and the beach and sea. The food is delicious, the staff are all without exception superb and we just felt spoiled to death the whole time. We went on a boat trip to the Gilli islands which was wonderful - swimming with turtles and feeding the fish from our hands. The fish and corals were breathtaking. What more can I say - I just long to go back."
