Villa Song: "Beautiful boutique hotel"
"This hotel is an old french colonial building on the banks of the Mekong river in District 2. The rooms are beautiful. By circumstance, we had the opportunity to experience three different rooms in the hotel. The Riverview rooms have a better view, but are noisier with the restaurant below. The garden/pool side rooms are quiet and the view of the garden is lovely, but beyond that into the distance it's just a neighbourhood view which is nothing special. The restaurant serves excellent food - I was actually surprised how wonderful everything we ate there was. There is a free shuttle boat into the city, which is a nice perk."Sandat Glamping Tents: "Excellent experience"
Excellent experience. Different from the typical hotel. Small and cozy. The hotel manager is on top of things. Total recommended place. Also take the morning to walk through the rice fields just outside the place. The Island Lodge: "Everything you need plus more"
"We stayed here as part of the Les Rives Mekong Delta two day tour and found the Island Lodge a wonderful experience . On arrival we were greeted by Michel and given a refreshing welcome drink .Our room looked over the pool and the river and was decorated in an airy tropical relaxed style . There were guidebooks and magazines on the desk which I thought was a nice touch , although we didn't have time to read them ! After a swim in the gorgeous pool , where we found towels and sun hats thoughtfully laid out , we headed downstairs for dinner .The bar area was lovely and the staff very polite and efficient . Our dinner was beautiful ( we had chosen from the menu on check-in ) , every mouthful was delicious . A lovely Beaujolais complimented the food beautifully . Breakfast next morning was from the a la carte menu and we were told we could have as much as we wanted . I would recommend the Eggs Benedict ... Checkout was smooth and efficient , I would have loved to stay longer ! Being a guest at the Island Lodge was a relaxing experience from start to finish. . Thank you to Michel and staff - we'd love to return one day . Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"Tugu Lombok: "One of best hotels in lombok"
"It's nice to see all top 3 hotels in lombok are actually within 10 m drive from each other . All situated on sire beach or beautiful Medana . The tugu is great ! Sharon the new GM is nice and always around . Staff is great here . Grounds amazing and large "Kinugawa Kanaya Hotel: "Beautiful Hotel, Excellent service, Delicious food"
The Hotel has a beautiful elegant feel about it. The staff were extremely helpful. If there were language difficulties there was always someone at hand to help out and the food was elegantly served. Our room at its private Onsen that made it even more special.Rachamankha: "Oasis"
"We were fortunate to stay here, albeit during the coldest weather in years! This is a true 5* property with wonderfully gracious staff. The location is perfect for walking to most areas you would want to see while in Chiang Mai. Breakfast is more than most would expect and in the evening the food is very good. "Villa Song Saigon: "Wonderful! Keep Up The Great Work"
Stunning boutique property in district 2 of the city yet feels and looks like you are far more rural. We stayed here twice and were given a very warm and typical Vietnamese welcome each time. Service was impeccable and attentive without being intrusive. All seemed to have a very genuine interest in how we were and what we had done each day. Great sized lovely pool for the number of guests accommodated, chilled to exactly the right temperature! To the rear of the hotel is a beautiful garden, bar and indoor/outdoor restaurant overlooking the river and across to the fields. Chilled music adds to the very comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting out by the river with a drink (or two) each evening! An excellent menu and wine list provide great choice and all of the food was beautifully presented and absolutely superb. The hotels speed boat provides a courtesy shuttle service between the hotel and centre of the city in just 15 minutes, far quicker than going by road! Exceptional service from a clearly dedicated, highly trained and competent team. Nothing is too much trouble. We hope to return soon...Sandat Glamping Tents: "A unique experience"
"After spending five days at boutique resorts around Ubud, we decided to ""rough it"" a bit at Sandat Glamping Tents. We are so glad we did! The entire experience was one of the most enjoyable and unique stays of our trip. We stayed in one of the tents, which was beautifully constructed in both concept and execution. The tents are solidly built, and a lot of thought clearly went into all of the furnishing and design touches. The private pool overlooking the jungle makes you feel like you're swimming in the wilderness. The experience of spending the night separated from nature by only screens and canvas was a delightful change from staying in big hotels. But for those who prefer a bit more of a buffer from nature, they give you the option to seal off the screen sections at night, and even have air conditioning if it gets too hot. All of the staff were professional and very responsive. The amenities were far more than we expected from a glamping experience, with room service available in our tents, massage services (my wife claims it was the best massage she has ever had), and a restaurant serving lunch, dinner and a buffet breakfast. We wish we had stayed for longer, and definitely will the next time we're in Ubud. The only drawback I would mention is the location, which is well off the beaten path. Though it is still close to Ubud center, the roads to get there are narrow (even by Bali standards) and in terrible condition, such that cars have to crawl for most of the last section and back up if they meet any oncoming traffic. They do offer a free on-demand shuttle service, which is good because our cab driver had some trouble finding the place. We were content to spend most of our time luxuriating in our tent and our private pool, but if you plan on going into town frequently the drive could become a hassle."David’s Kitchen: "Dining Does Not Get Better Than At David’s Kitchen"
"Dining is not just eating food - it is an experience that should involve delicious food/drinks, gracious hospitality, a pleasing ambiance and the generation of plenty of memories to smile back on for years to come. My girlfriend and I had the dining experience of a lifetime last night at the new location of David's Kitchen - and this experience afforded us all of those things that I mentioned above at an unparalleled level! I had the very best tuna dish that I have ever had - highly recommended for if/when you make the brilliant decision to try David's Kitchen yourself. David was strolling around the very pleasant dining area while we ate and he spoke to us on a few different occasions as we enjoyed our meal. He is a very kind and interesting man that brings wonderful conversation to the table - pun intended. I had the pleasure of expressing my love for the tuna dish and he was gracious enough to invite us back into his kitchen to meet the head chef and the rest of the kitchen staff - this just took what was already an incredible evening to the kind of experience that my girlfriend and I will look back on for decades with nothing but smiles! And, to top it all off, the dining room manager brought my girlfriend a beautiful rose as we were walking into the parking lot to our taxi. It was like the evening couldn't stop getting better! So, there you have it. Some of the best food we have ever eaten. Certainly the best hospitality we have ever experienced at a restaurant. An ambiance that promotes a delightful meal. And memories that I will now have to cherish for the rest of my life. David's Kitchen provides the epitome of what dining should be. And, not to forget, at an EXTREMELY reasonable price! Nothing short of incredible. If you are EVER in Thailand - please, please do yourself and your traveling mates a huge favor and find time to make it into David's Kitchen! On my word - you will absolutely not regret it. Cheers!"Chakrabongse Villas: "A real oasis – beautiful and worth every cent"
"Chakrabongse Villas is a really luxurious boutique hotel. We were guests here for 3 nights in April, and we wanted for nothing. We were offered a welcome cocktail when we arrived late in the evening, and our villa was traditional Thai style, and it was well appointed, clean and cool. We had a lovely private balcony overlooking the garden, with fresh flowers, pool towels, daybeds and shade aplenty. Having large villas, lovely gardens and only a handful of villas, we hardly ever saw another guest! We enjoyed the pool and the activity on the river, which we were on the banks of. Grounds are very private, with locked gates. Staff are unobtrusive but efficient, and the clamour, heat and bustle of Bangkok stops at the gates, and you enter a true oasis of calm and luxury. The riverside restaurant is also lovely and we enjoyed a delicious breakfast there each morning, with exquisite service, lovely food, and tourism advice as required. We took their longtail boat tour through the canals one afternoon, and thoroughly enjoyed it, and it was reasonably priced, too. One night we ate at the restaurant for dinner, and really, we were treated like royalty. A treat for the soul, and lovely, simple set menu, deliciously prepared. It was my husband's birthday one day, and they gave him a lovely gift. Add all of this together, and you have an exemplary service provider. Expensive but as i say, well worth it. Congratulations Chakrabongse crew, keep up the good work! Stayed April 2017, traveled as a couple"
