Reverie Siam: "Must Stay while in Pai"

Review by: D J | Source: Trip Advisor
"Booked Reverie Siam without hesitation when I learned this resort is one member of secret retreats, where I used to had exceptional stay at Rachamankha in Chiang Mai in 2014. I'm not very clear what's the background of the secret retreats organisation, seems it's a collection of small boutique hotel in the world. I'm so happy that this decision was absolutely right, we had again an outstanding stay here at Reverie Siam, and I definitely recommend to all TripAdvisor reviewer who going to visit Pai. We took mini van from Chiang Mai ends up at Pai Bus terminal, called to the resort and been told they could pick us up, within 10 minutes the hotel TuTu is already here. Smooth check in and we were been showed to our Deluxe Garden View room, the resort only have 20 rooms in total, however it occupied a huge piece of land, with plenty of plantation offers absolute privacy. Spacious room decorated classic antique and made us a calm mood. Toiletries were all handmade local ingredients, strong rain shower clear our tiredness away. Swimming pool also surrounded by trees and flowers and butterflies are everywhere, we are enjoyed the mountain view from the pool, and as only 20 rooms, so not often met other guest, so when the time we visited, became our private pool. What a wonder land! Breakfast is amazing! After so many hotel I stayed, I tend to love a la carte menu rather than international full spread buffet, as for buffet, so much similarity among different hotels, I cam remember the list of buffet items, that's really boring, but an a la carte menu are different, it is carefully selected item with sincerity from chef and it certainly delicately presented to please my appetite. This time I had egg benedict and transitional Thai porridge, both are delicious! Only one little thing could improve will be the wifi connection a bit slow or certain area no signal, I understand the land is big it may occur sometime. Hotel TuTu is frequently available when you need to go Pai walking street or come back to hotel, just give them a call. After we check out, staff were so nice, still send us to next hotel in Pai. My strongest recommendation to stay Reverie Siam if you are here."

The River Resort: "Paradise at the Mekong Riverside!"

Review by: christiechoo | Source: Trip Advisor
This resort located nearby to Mekong River. We took a long tailed boat and go to this resort via river, instead of main road. This is a PARADISE, away from busy city and noise. The rooms are great, with nice interior design, overseen the river. The hotel offers 2 options of breakfast per person per day. It is a very relaxing experience to stay here, with surrounded by paddy field in the hotel garden.

Rachamankha: "A most enjoyable stay."

Review by: Graham M | Source: tripadvisor.com
"I spent four nights here recently with my wife, son and his girlfriend. We had two deluxe rooms next to each other, but not adjoining. The hotel and it's staff were superb with a ""special mention"" for Paul Walker, the General Manager who could not have been more helpful and charming. The atmosphere is calm and serene, as is the Chinese inspired architecture, and is totally conducive to relaxation which, in our case, is exactly what was needed. The location is in the old city, but a short Tuk Tuk ride from the Night Bazaar and Worouot market. I would not hesitate the Rachamankha to anyone considering it."

MesaStila: "Excellent, Friendly Resort"

Review by: putridpm | Source: Trip Advisor
"It's a village so it's not in the middle of town but absolutely worth finding. From the time you check in, until you finally have to hand back the key, MesaStila pampers you up & down, in & out. The staff at the resort were the friendliest has we ever encountered. Everyone from the greeter at the gate, the check in staff, restaurant wait staff and spa/pool staff were so welcoming. Up and down the hills, the team will help you get around in their activities. Hiking, coffee plantation, yoga and various activities are available to tire you out. Go ahead and get tired. The room was beautiful, clean and very comfortable Room amenities include the robes and sundries you'd expect in a property of this calibre so it ends up being the staff that makes MesaStila such a great place to stay. It was a very relaxing trip and we will definitely be back! cheers!"

Maisons Wat Kor: "A Small Piece of Paradise"

Review by: DKJPUS | Source: tripadvisor.com
"Due to a relative which had stayed here last year, we decided to stay at Maisons Wat Kor during our 3 day visit to Battambang. What an excellent choice. It is located on the outskirts of Battambang in a quite neighborhood. If you need/want to go to down town it is only a 5 min. tuk tuk ride, but that said, there is no comparison to the experience at this gem of a place versus the hotels in the busier part of town. The hotel is a couple of years old and comprises only 12 rooms. The property is replete with beautiful plants and shrubs. The garden is incredible. We enjoyed nightly swims in their clean, comfortable pool. The rooms were well furnished. The bed was very firm, but comfortable. The staff was very attentive and helpful. They quickly attended to our every need. They arranged for bike rentals (great idea to see the local neighborhoods) and transportation to Phnom Penh Meals were served in the main house with the dining area being open to the garden area. The food was fresh and good and very nicely presented. This small hotel is intimate and charming, and a perfect place to stay."

Dewakan: "A wonderful experience!"

Review by: Ruru S | Source: Trip Advisor
It's my first time trying the modern Malaysian cuisine and it was amazing. Never knew that our local ingredients can be so versatile. Kudos to the chef team for their adventurous experiments. Full of surprises and I did enjoy all the new flavors dancing on my palate. Love the wine and fermented beverages pairing.

Mie Cafe: "Fantastic Khmer fusion!"

Review by: Shiny_hair | Source: Trip Advisor
Don't be fooled by the name, it isn't really a café but a nice restaurant that serves really good Khmer fusion cuisine. Having been to a similar restaurant the night before for dinner, I was extremely surprised that the food here was much better. The fish risotto was excellent and I have to say, the ONLY risotto I've had that was of similar standard was in Gruyeres, Switzerland. I also enjoyed the Khmer curry and the frozen lime pie. Service was also very good. Will definitely be back if I return to Siem Reap!

Tugu Bali: "Our new favourite hotel in Bali"

Review by: ShazstaD | Source: Trip Advisor
If you're looking for something special, unique and authentic then Tugu is it! A truly wonderful experience all round. Our accommodation was lovely. We stayed in the Dedari Suite and we're lucky to have not just a plunge pool , but an extended view through reeds across a pond and beyond to a nearby temple. We could even get glimpses of the surf! The staff were amazing, the gardens and buildings incredible. A wonderful way to immerse yourself in Balinese history. The attention to detail is everywhere, right down to the metal elephant door knobs in the public restrooms. Trying one of Tugu's cultural banquets is highly recommended. The recently opened Ji restaurant and bar is also destined to be a winner. Good food and drinks in a very quirkily exotic bar.

Sea Dance Resort: "Our Happy Place in Thailand!"

Review by: Calzan | Source: Trip Advisor
"Thank you again Poy and your incredible team for welcoming us back with open arms and making us feel like family! A New Years Eve to remember! We where one of your first visitors 3 odd years ago and had no doubt in choosing to stay at Sea Dance again this visit even though there where a 1000 other places to perhaps try! We are still in Thailand, and at our third stop after Sea Dance! Although the venues we have chosen are visually beautiful, none have made us feel as welcome and special as you all did, at Sea Dance! It is really home away from home! We are so proud to see your beautiful resort mature and blossom and get all the awards you are truly due! Our only regret was that we only booked 7 days it went by too quickly! Can't wait to visit again! Hugs to you all! Lisa and Vaughan."
