Manda De Laos: "Quaint and charming"
"If you go here make sure you go for lunch or before the sun sets because the place is beautiful and at night it's lost The food is amazing and lovely taste of local food and the service is 5 star I loved this place, the setting the food the atmosphere. Everything!!!"Cabochon Hotel & Residence: "A brilliant stay at the Cabochon Hotel"
We have just returned from a 5 night stay at the Cabochon Hotel and already cannot wait to return. A 5-10 minute walk from Phrom Phong BTS station off Sukhumvit- the location was ideal. Close to public transport, restaurants and shopping. The hotel is incredibly beautiful and filled with antiques and interesting things to look at. It was wonderful to return to such a calm and quiet space after a busy day out in the city. We stayed in a studio room and found it to be perfectly adequate for our needs. The bed and linen was comfortable, the air conditioning great and the general design of the room and furniture extremely chic. Breakfast is served from 7:00am to 10:00pm and we loved the continental buffet as well as the a la carte choices which included both Asian and Western options. The staff are extremely friendly and couldn't help us enough. They answered all our questions and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcome. We will definitely stay at the Cabochon on our future visits to Bangkok and will be telling all our friends and family about it too!Hotel Tugu Lombok: "This is a Must Go To Experience!"
"This Hotel makes you feel so welcome that you almost feel out of place. The rooms are nothing but absolutely beautiful, and you feel like walking into Indonesian palace! This hotel, which specializes in old style Indonesia has lots of old antiques all over the place, and you can probably walk around the premises for several days just mesmerizing over all the decor, statues and never get tired of it. The staff and service is flawless. Henry, and the rest, were nothing but smiling, funny, and incredible nice. They hotel beach is clean and beautiful, and they have an infinity pool just by the restaurant which gives a very relaxing and luxurious atmosphere. The food is impeccably delicious. We also got a complimentary massage, and boy, do those girls do wonders! Magic hands who were able to find every knot and tight muscle, and you left them feeling good and refreshed for hours! All I can say is that we regretfully only got to have one night at this place, but next time it will be for longer. No doubt! 10/10 would visit again!"4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Truly remarkable!"
"Well, this is an extraordinary and lovely place to stay. We stayed for 3 nights and wished we had stayed longer. Such a peaceful environment, excellent staff, excellent service. Food more than adequate. We took two of the trips out - to the Tatai waterfall (upstream) and to the fishing village and mangrove swamps (downstream). Both were excellent. Also went out to see the fireflies one evening - they were definitely in cooperative mood, flashing away like crazy. Bathing in the river, straight from our sundeck, was magic. Altogether even better than expected - and we expected it to be good. Thanks to all the staff for a truly memorable experience! Room Tip: We had the tent nearest to reception. Very convenient, "David’s Kitchen: "Best dining experience in Chiang Mai"
This restaurant is a must if you are in Chiang Mai. The food, service and overall experience were exceptional. David greeted us upon arrival to the restaurant and continued to check in on us throughout the meal. He and his staff made us feel like royalty. The food was second to none. Highlights included the pumpkin soup and wagyu beef cheek. We walked away with full stomachs and fuller smiles. We can't wait to come back next time.Tugu Lombok: "Amazing holiday at Tugu!"
My boyfriend and I had an absolutely amazing time at the Tugu Hotel in Lombok, it is definitely the most relaxing, rejuvenating place either of us had ever been. The setting on the beach was beautiful both day and night, the accommodation was light, airy and beautifully clean and the service was fantastic. We found the staff always smiling, friendly and helpful and we even got a free upgrade while we were there simply because they had a better room available. The food was delicious, always fresh and a good mix of traditional and western food was available. We will absolutely be heading back to Tugu at some point (hopefully soon!), it really is an amazing place! Thank you to all the staff there who made our stay so wonderful.Villa Song: "Singing praises for Villa Song"
Room upgraded and flowers for my wedding anniversary, personal service put a smile on my dial. Absolutely nothing to fault with our stay. Meal in the evening was great as was the breakfast. The complimentary speed boat to the city was fantastic too.Rachamankha: "A masterfully curated sophisticated hotel"
"I could not wait to write this review as I was quite moved with the beauty and perfection in design of this elegant property. As an interior designer I adore traveling and observing beautiful interior design around the globe. This property is one of my favorites due to the masterfully curated art and antiques that abound within it. These things When paired with lovely, harmonious architecture and landscape design makes for a keen visual and sensual experience. I have great admiration for the creators of the environment called Rachamankha. The interior spaces, including the hotel rooms are beautiful appointed by a designer who employed restraint to produce balanced, perfectly appointed spaces that evoke a feeling of affluence and history. I especially enjoyed the attention to fine details like handmade candies in dishes, and a sensual decanter of cognac in the beautiful wood paneled Library which was teeming with books of art, travel, history and design. The proximity of this hotel is also of importance. It resides on a quiet street in the old town of Chiang Mai. The old town is very quaint and filled with history and charm while most of the other hotels are located in the riotous and poorly planned concrete sprawl of the newer part of the city. The calm and serene vibe that Rachamankha exudes is greatly helped by where it is located. The staff is reserved and sweet and eager to please without making a spectacle. It's as if they personify the quiet and humble sophistication that IS this property. If you enjoy the nuances of fine taste and refinement, this is the place for you."Maison Polanka: "A unique experience, perfectly executed"
"My reviews reveal a shameless sybarite, happily wallowing in the decadence of suites in the top hotels all over the planet; the Amans, the Four Seasons, the Six Senses, the Belmonds. Siem Reap has most of these and visitors would be served well at any one of them in their visit Angkor Wat. For something wildly different and unique, however, book the ""Khmer House"" at Maison Polanka, the best of the five available rooms. This is a lush garden, about two acres, surrounded with high walls off a bumpy, unpaved back street not too far from the main canal road and the Museum (and the Aman). Behind the electric sliding door is a beautiful, cool and shaded oasis of grass, kept wet, with high trees and flowering shrubs. It is quiet and peaceful; there is no traffic noise Khmer House is a small, simple wooden, single room building on stilts in the center of the property. The large living room is underneath the house and the equally large bedroom with a sitting veranda is above. The bedroom is air-conditioned and has fans, in addition. See the website for photos. All this at less than half the price of the chains. Dining is under an outdoor pavilion adjacent to a very nice 50 foot pool, suitable for laps and cooling off after a visit to the temples. The menu, though limited, is varied and offers excellent suggestions for any palate. We were so pleased we ate all our meals there for five days, not venturing outside. I also attended the cooking school; one student and three cooks. Lots of fun. As it turned out, a great advantage of our booking was the superb service we received with our private car with driver and guide. Our guide, ""Pich"", is a certified, uniformed guide for Angkor Wat and accompanied us on all our temple tours for two days. She arranged for the tickets and the timing for our visits to avoid crowds. (We enjoyed the sunrise over the main temple.) She is an excellent, knowledgeable guide. The driver awaited us with ice-cold towels and water when we finished each temple visit. He was also available on call and waited for us on shopping and museum visits. a very worthwhile indulgence. The staff is small but attentive and anxious to please. Upon each return to the garden, a young women awaits with a cold towel at your room. This is not ""roughing it""; it is equal luxury in a different guise. A superb alternative to the usual."Villa Song Saigon: "Sanctuary by the Saigon River"
"This is an outstanding hotel. Beautifully refurbished former French colonial mansion with about 25 rooms. We stayed in a Sanctuary room on the top floor. High quality dining at tables beside the Saigon river. Rooms are beautifully decorated with every facility. Loved the TV that rotated 360. The hotel's own speedboat runs a shuttle service to the city centre. Staff excellent. Attention to detail (eg anti mossy spray on dining tables) My wife had a birthday while we were there. Bouquet of flowers and special cake unsolicited. "
