Sukoon Houseboat: "houseboats in Srinagar"
we stayed at sukoon houseboat on our Kashmir trip location in photographer paradise ambience free from hustle and bustle food is good houseboat is excellent with modern facilities Mr. Bashir and his staffs are very helpful and nice MEMORABLE tripMaduzi Hotel: "Classy without the hefty price tag"
"I hate to admit but I’m pretty hard to please. When the hotel facilities are a 10/10, most often than not the price is too steep. If the price is cheap, likely there’s something somewhere that does not live up to my expectation. After my four-day stay at Ma Du Zi, I am most happy to find the perfect accommodation (in my humble opinion) and recommend it to fellow travellers who are visiting Bangkok. TLDR: price is mid-range, service is fantastic and totally bang for your buck! If you haven’t seen the pictures already, Ma Du Zi is huge – with one bedroom (full length window, goodbye claustrophobia!), king-sized bed with tons of fluffy pillows, cozy wardrobe corner, dressing table (with a portable vanity mirror!) adorned with Panpuri toiletries, and of course the much-raved about jacuzzi bath tub (with complimentary bath salt which was replenished every single day). The room also came with an espresso machine and Bose sound system so you can make your morning coffee while listening to your favourite Spotify playlist. The thing I love most about Ma Du Zi is that they go all out to please without any “unpleasant surprise”. Hungry and want to reach for that pack of chips in the mini fridge? Go for it, it’s free. Want to check out slightly later (up to 8pm I was told)? Sure, just tell them in advance. All these with a strict no-tipping policy?! I AM SOLD. Ma Du Zi is less than five minutes by foot from Asok BTS/Sukhumvit MRT and there is a 24-hour convenience store just across the street. Class, comfort and convenience - Ma Du Zi is now at the top of my list next time I visit Bangkok."VILLA SONG SAIGON: "Super Boutique Hotel"
"We stayed four nights in the Art Suite as a family of four with two younger children over looking the Saigon River - Yaeger and his staff were attentive without being intrusive, always on hand to offer help and suggestions. Villa Song is located in the less hectic District 2 of Saigon and 15/20mins taxi and boat ride into District 1 - most attractions are in District 1 but the enclave of District 2 is also interesting with shops and restaurants (catering to the expat community of the area). We did a Saigon Hotpot city tour (highly recommended) and Saigon Street Eats Seafood Tour amongst other major Saigon attractions. Breakfast was sensational with choice of western and Vietnamese by the water and under umbrellas. Do try their Pho Bo and in luxury settings. Didn't eat dinner there but the chef is amazing and menu looks legit. Front desk staff aim to please service even went out of the way with personal help for a out of normal request - exceptional service. "Villa Song Saigon: "Absolutely grand"
Beautiful hotel , Restaraunt and Spa . Old time Elegance situated on the river . Very grand , can't praise enough . Delightful place to sit on the Terrace overlooking the river for a late afternoon cocktail . Bliss . Soft lighting hanging from trees in garden makes for a very romantic setting .Maison Polanka: "A huge slice of heaven"
"This is the most gorgeous place you could ever stay in your travels. Cathy, Francis and all of the staff are incredible and make you feel like this is your home. From the moment you arrive everything is perfect - the immaculate grounds, the stunning pool, the delicious food, the beautiful rooms, every detail is considered. It's only a 5 minute tuk tuk ride from the town centre but it's far enough away that you're in peace. The staff will help to organise trips, buses, tuk Tuks when you need. Although to be honest you may well want to just stay here! That way you can indulge in as many massages as possible. There's no more building work next door so it's back to a quiet haven again. Stay here! Whatever else you do in Cambodia, stay here! As an aside, ask Cathy to put you in touch with Debbie - a fantastic nia instructor who lives nearby and runs retreats."Supanniga Cruise: "Well worth it!"
"The biggest tip I can give is - go to their facebook page and follow them - you will then be privy to their specials (50% off or buy 3 get 1 free) - there seems to always be something! We did the dinner and champagne cruise and it was beautiful. Perfect food (as always with Supanniga restaurants) and the boat was much much better than the other you see on the river. Cant fault it and would so go again."Tugu Malang: "Amazing!!"
This hotel is the 'Raffles' of Indonesia....an amazing collection of the finest antiques and every space has a surprise!!!... just stay or go for a drink but it's a must see if you visit Malang....there is also a quaint little shop attached selling every type of Indonesian biscuits, crackers or lollies...we just love this place! The Island Lodge: "Beautiful boutique hotel next to the river"
"We returned with our 4 yrs old for a second time to the Island Lodge and stayed three nights. I believe it's the best thought through boutique hotel I ever came across in SE Asia. The river view rooms are in 2F, right above the open restaurant, the very good size pool is next to the restaurant and everything is right next to the river. Basically wherever you are and whatever you do, you will have a river view (obviously not from the garden rooms). It is the perfect place for doing absolutely nothing. Food and drinks are good and you should be able to find something on either the French or the Vietnamese menu. The rooms have a good size and are very clean, the pool is great and big and never felt crowded. All the staff are very friendly and they will help whenever they can. The Lodge offers a few tours, which are not so bad if this is your first time to SE Asia. There are some areas which could be improved though. I had the manicure/pedicure which was really not that great. Sitting with hand and feet tucked into tiny bowls for quite a while was not very relaxing. I had the impression they want to offer the service, but the location is not really prepared for it. The manicure/pedicure itself was just ok. The other thing which bothered us one morning 7ish was to wake up to Vietnamese techno music played loudly in one of the neighboring houses. I hope this was because we stayed the days right after new year with all the schools off. Nevertheless, the Island Lodge is a fantastic place and we will be back. Stayed January 2017, traveled with family"Amata Lanna: "Charming oasis in busy area"
"Already fell in love with this historical building and courtyard at the time I arrived. Very lovely architecture with extremely welcoming staff assisting upon checkin. This boutique hotel has 12 rooms and everyone in the hotel tries to make you feel like home. Rooms and hotel area are spacious, very comfortable and clean. Location is perfect as it is just block away from the Big C supermarket, The night Bazaar, Saturday market and also very convenient access to major spots of Chiang Mai. And yet you don’t feel like being in such a busy area once you walk into the hotel - a great escape from the busy town. If you’re looking for an unique stay in good location, this is a place you would love"MesaStila: "My only regret is that I was only there one night"
"This resort is truly stunning. The villa was huge - built in the traditional style - so it's actually very simple but has a real wow factor. Massive bed with ornately carved canopy. Separate seating area, outside verandah. Lovely staff, great restaurants. It's a big resort so plenty of walking required but it's such a pleasure to walk around you don't care. There are plenty of activities on offer from yoga to coffee plantation tours to croquet or outdoor chess. Pool area is delightful with a spa and gym that we did not have time to use. If you get the chance to stay here, don't pass it up. Definitely one of the best resorts I have ever had the fortune to stay in."Travel Asia with Secret Retreats
