THE ISLAND LODGE: "a very gracious , relaxing & peaceful… Francois had the loveliest of smiles"
"A very gracious, relaxing & peaceful place in My Tho Mekong. Francios had the loveliest of smile that radiated pure happiness. the staff had very good manners and were genteel.cheers Luci you could see the Mekong, setting sun and did not have to walk 1km to rooms. warmth and hospitality radiated through out the place. "Poring Hot Spring Nature Reserve: "A little disappointing, but worth a short visit"
We went early on a Monday morning to avoid crowds, but were surprised to find the hot spring tubs were empty. Though we turned on the valves, it would have taken a couple hours to fill a tub, so we were disappointed to miss out on a decent hot spring soak. We did the canopy walk, which was the highlight of our visit to Poring.Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Amazing food"
"Our friends booked this restaurant a few months ago for us And it was excellent there were two tasting menus & we love good Resturants & this did not disappoint it should have a Michelin star & if it was any where else it would have Service was first class as was the food If your visiting semi reap book in advance it's a must"Satri House: "An amazing experience"
From the moment we arrived we were awe-struck by this beautiful property. Gianni and his team do a superb job looking after the guests' every need, from organising tours to arranging airport transportation. All of the staff are very friendly but our favourite was Peng at the pool bar. An absolute delight, he attended us thoughtfully and unobtrusively over our four days at Satri House. We were very sorry to leave. We would definitely stay there again!!The Cabochon Hotel: "Great central Bangkok hotel"
Small and secluded, this boutique hotel was a lucky find. Situated in a lovely area of Bangkok, the hotel has beautifully decorated rooms and a fantastic rooftop pool (see photos) Staff go out of their way to assist. Reasonably priced.Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Cheong"
Boutique hotels are always on our route when exploring new territories, as they offer a unique experience of the local culture. CHEONG FATT TZE MANSION is no exception. Legendary in the annals of Penang Island, Malaysia, “La maison Bleue” (the blue mansion) stands graciously in the middle of the cultural center of UNESCO world heritage site of George Town for over 135 years. We recommend to anyone visiting this are to look no further and book a few night at CHEONG FATT TZE. You will be leaving with some enchanting stories of the past and delicious food in your bellies, while having experience the relaxing and elegance of this very beautiful hotel.Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Amazing and unique hotel"
We loved our six nights and were lucky enough to stay in Escoy - the room with a gold leaf timber Chinese screen. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and the Georgetown location fascinating. We also had an excellent meal at the Indigo restaurant.Hotel Tugu Malang: "Fantastic home away from home"
"Currently staying here with my family in executive suite for 5 nights. I usually wait awhile before doing reviews if at all, but I needed to do this. The hotel is one of the oldest hotels in Malang. Originally a colonial house that was renovated and expanded into the current 5 star hotel. Very centrally located in Malang. The decorations are very unique and truly a different feel with the various antiques and furnishings that have been collected by the owners over the years. Took a tour and hired a professional photographer to take pictures of us throughout the various spaces where the antiques are. Art, Ceramics, statues, ancient pottery, furniture, and much more. Staff are friendly and always very prompt and trying to help. My kids actually prefer to just stay in hotel rather than go out to see city and other attractions it’s so comfortable here! Rooms are clean and Well maintained. Spacious. Good mattress and linens etc. Well worth the stay and price is great for a true 5 Star hotel! Will stay here again no doubt."Supanniga Eating Room: "Our favourite Thai restaurant in Bangkok . Really tasty..great décor"
"At the Supanniga Eating room we experience the flavours of Thailand..real provincial Thai food from the different regions..especially the eastern regions. The decor is exciting..and very cutting edge..exposed brick..huge smoky glass mirror..and it signature colours of shades of yellow...Exciting wall mural of cotton reels with yellows..i would have added a few more tropical plants.. Service is efficient, friendly and brisk..we did not have to wait long for these freshly prepared dishes..with friends one can order a range of food..my favourites this time..and I have been serval times..a salad of lemon grass and shrimps, omelette..and this amazing fish soufflé with a banana leaf wrapping ...Comfortable hip place with great tasty food..prices for the quality..reasonable..always full so booking is essential. A little touch..i loved the hand soap in the ladies and have been looking for it for sale in Bangkok."Papua Paradise: "Unique and exciting experience!"
Papua Paradise was a unique and exciting experience, jungle meets the sea. The bungalows over the water were something I’ve always wanted to experience. The bed was very comfortable and mosquito nets were put up every morning and put down again at night. Every night, the frogs would sing loudly and the birds would wake you in the morning. Excellent timing since there was so much great snorkeling to experience. I especially liked all the hooks in the room for hanging clothing, etc, as well as the drying rack on the porch. The food was plentiful and delicious. There were many choices at each meal, Indonesian and western. Staff were friendly and helpful. The snorkeling in Raja Ampat and the Fam Islands was incredible! Snorkeling the house reefs was in itself a great experience. The house has a front reef, to the left and to the right of the pier as well as a back reef, a short walk to the other side of the resort. We especially enjoyed the front reef to the left facing the island at the end near the last of the bungalows. The dive team were all helpful and knowledgeable. Papua Paradise is rustic but well set up. If you’re out to dive or snorkel, I think you’ll enjoy the resort.
