MesaStila: "Jewel in the heart of Central Java"
"We traveled the world and stayed in some of the most beautiful hotels but we have to say that Mesa Stila is a class of its own. The fantastic combination of Dutch colonial buildings and the most beautiful Javanese historic villas in the middle of a functioning organic coffee plantation surrounded by impressive volcanoes is second to none. We loved the restaurant with its organic vegetables from the resort's own garden. Every meal we had during our 9 days at Mesa Stila was delicious, beautifully presented, well sized and well prized (we usually had two courses each, one or two vegetable side dishes, water, tea, or fresh fruit juice or beer and never paid more than app. 40 US$ which is OK for a 5 star resort even for Java). Breakfast was very good and never boring. A special treat at breakfast was a complimentary health tonic of herbal combinations presented by the Jamu lady. We also enjoyed the complimentary high tea in the afternoon as well as the free yoga classes and all the other activities offered by the resort. The villa we stayed in (Merapi 3) was spacious, beautifully decorated with Javanese antiques had a gorgeous bathroom with a sunken bathtub and a huge deck with stunning views. We loved the magic pool and of course the Hamman Spa for the most relaxing massages. Top of all is the wonderful staff. Always friendly, good English speaking and very helpful. We loved our stay at Mesa Stila and can absolutely recommend this jewel in the heart of Java to everyone."The Island Lodge: "Nice place"
If you want a peaceful place, away from the bustling city, not far from Ho Chi Minh City, you can choose the island lodge. We also visit Mekong Delta, have boat trip, cycling countryside, relaxing swimming poolLocavore: "Three hours of foodie bliss"
"We had the 7 course non vego menu and were again impressed on our third visit to this restaurant. We came from Sanur to eat here again and it was worth the journey! The kitchen maintained the excellent level of taste sensation in each morsel of the “snacks” and the actual menu courses. My only “mmm not sure” moment was the caffeine fish combination. The tomato consommé with the sorbet, the mushrooms , the varied uses of egg - could go on.... If you have the time and the money and enjoy food as an experience, go. Its around top dollar for Bali, but not in comparison to similar in Australia and Michelin rated restaurants in Europe."Rachamankha: "This place is so blessed and amazing…and more"
"The #1 TripAdvisor hotel at the time of our visit, this was the most unique of our 8 hotels in all of SE Asia. The Chinese influence in the architecture makes this place stupendous! The room! The pool! The common areas! The restaurant! The driveway! The service! I could go on and on... This place is so glorious and fabulous...one day, we would love to go back!"SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "The most memorable dinner in Yangon"
We were privileged to be invited to an exclisive pre-opening private dinner by Swiss Chef couple Felix Eppisser & Lucia Eppisser to their new venture , Seeds Restaurant in the prime residential area with beautiful lakeside location in Yangon City. Food was heavenly with personally created degustation menu from amuse bouche of Scallops , pumpkin soup with Lobster & truffle , seabass on avocado puree, Australian tenderloin steak with mushroom cream followed by dessert of mixed berry parfait at Chef's table seeing dishes prepared & excuted right in front. All dishes were perfectly cooked & delicious ! The most memorable meal we ever had !!!Villa Song Saigon: "Great place to relax"
I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel. The building itself is beautiful and our room was spacious and felt very luxurious. There were little touches that we really loved such as the free water and beer in the mini bar which was refilled daily and a daily snack brought to your room in the afternoon. The hotel is out of the city centre, but there are regular boat shuttles to take you in to the centre of town. The pool area is a great sun trap or you can sit by the riverside. The breakfast and dinner area is outside looking out on the riverside and the breakfast is extremely tasty. The best thing about the hotel though was the team who ran the hotel. They were so helpful, giving us great restaurant and activity recommendations and helping us with any questions we have. I highly recommend staying here and you will leave feeling revived!Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "A must see"
"The so called Blue Mansion located on 14 Leith Street, is one of the places you cannot miss in Georgetown ,Penang. There is a 45 minute daily tour at 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 3.30 p.m and the price is around 17 RM per adult. These tours are in English but there are tours available in other languages as well. The only thing that you won't like about it, is that it is not permitted to take photographs inside the house, which is a pity because it's beautiful. In spite of this drawback the mansion is worth visiting . The mansion is also a boutique hotel for those who want a traditional style accommodation and there is a restaurant as well. Visit my blog The Leisure Diaries to see some pictures."tugu bali: "Ultimate feeling of peace, love and happiness!"
"A heartwarming welcome, a super nice room and an excellent breakfast. Hotel Tugu Bali has it all. Enjoy the wonderful spa, the beautiful sunset and the variety of activities. Find peace in this hidden treasure. I greatly enjoyed this pleasant stay. Super compliment to the friendly staff! "Mathis Retreat: "Love this place!"
Visited for the 2nd time. And still love this place! Really small boutique feeling with all you want in holiday. Nice rooms, nice breakfast, nice staff, nice pool and perfect rice paddy view! Definitely would recommend to my friends.Villa Song Saigon: "Great stay– lived up to the hype"
"We were happy to leave our original hotel in district one and book a last minute two nights at Villa Song. The area has a few great spots for eating and shopping (Dolphy for coffee and Banh Mi 362). It's about a 20 minute walk into the heart of things but we really enjoyed the scenery and slower place of things. It was a really nice contrast from district one and the tourist zone. The hotel is beautiful, on a river, and the boat ride is a great alternative to viewing the rapidly expanding city of Saigon. The cab ride back home later at night was $7-8. Easy! We'd head in on the 11:30 AM boat, do touristy stuff, take a later boat back to the hotel, and then go back out later on the 6 pm boat and cab back to the hotel later. It was not too inconvenient and it was very worth it to not feel the stress of getting run over by a motorbike for a solid few hours. Also, the pool! So much more serene, private and clean than the rooftop pools in HCMC. Also, there are only 23 rooms in the hotel, so you're not fighting for pool space. The service was fantastic, as was the food. Vietnamese breakfast options were the bomb. We loved the braised beef and egg noodle soup and the chicken congee. Great fresh squeezed OJ. Stay here!"
