SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "Beautiful views over cocktails"
"My party and I decided to stop by Seeds to watch the sun set over the lake. It was a completely gorgeous view, and we enjoyed several cocktails and appetizers during. I was not able to try the dining menu food as we were going to a different spot for dinner. I will say, this spot is very Euro-centric, so if you are looking for a ""local haunt"" this isn't it. However, it you want to enjoy a sit-down, white table-clothed restaurant, then this is your spot. The menu was moderately-to-expensively priced, but the views and ambiance are well worth it. I'd recommend going before the sunsets in order to watch the sky change. We stayed a little afterwards out on the deck, and I was eaten alive by mosquitoes (bring your spray!). While we were there, they had just opened their little cocoon tree house for small dinner parties. Next time I take a group, I will definitely be booking that!"MesaStila: "Colonial Elegance and Very Relaxing"
"The resort is 30-40 buildings assembled on a beautiful plateau. The original plantation house has been restored and elegant yet unique. The staff was polite, friendly, professional and extremely helpful through our entire visit. The breakfast is very good and includes different options of Indonesian and western food. I especially enjoyed the homemade yogurt The spacious villas look like something out of a film set with a huge king size teak four poster bed, antique furniture and lamps, wooden shutters, a day couch overlooking the balcony, and a lovely bathroom including a huge tub and luxurious towels. The villa was well-kept and very clean. The hotel has a daily complimentary coffee plantation walking tour which was excellent. We really enjoyed learning about the 4 different types of coffee plants and the history of MesaStila. The hotel spa is great. We had complimentary neck and shoulder massages. My wife enjoyed the varied spa packages."Samuay & Sons: "Probably the best place to eat in Udon Thani"
Amazing, creative and well-balanced food with fabulous homemade Thai dessert fusion with food lovers! The 2 brothers are so kind, Good English speaking and very creative! The place to enjoy Thai fusion -traditional food in town! Thank you for such a tasty dinning experience ! PimaliThe Island Lodge: "Made From My Dreams"
Well what a place. My wife and I decided to try and walk from the barriers on the Island to the Island Lodge. We got over half way when one of the staff spotted us on their scooter and kindly told us to wait and sent the golf buggy to collect us. What a saviour she was. Upon reaching the reception we were greeted with a cool face towel which was such a lovely touch along with the most delicious of welcome drinks and a small welcome set of canapés. What a lovely extra. We were taken to our room and were absolutely made up with it. Everything we needed and things thought of with common sense. (...) All the food provided is well cooked and tastes great especially the Vietnamese cuisine. This means you do not need to go anywhere other than stay, relax and indulge. We hired bikes which was great and headed into My Tho. When my wife got a puncture the staff were so happy to help her get back to base and replace the bike. Michael and François are an insperation with what they have done and are doing, especially when you talk to them abou their past and how they came to set up this place of sheer luxury. They even surprised me with a glass of fizz and cake for my birthday whilst we were staying there yet another lovely touch. I cannot recommend this place highly enough I just wish there was 5 plus star to rate here. Thank you again to the team for such a wonderful stay.Mume: "Great all around experience"
MUME clearly deserves to be ranked in asia's top 50 restaurants as its creative menu, intimate settings, and enthusiastic staff. The food itself is very reasonable for the quality level and we loved the atmosphere and creative cocktails that were offered up by the top notch staff. Moreover, we found the setting warm and for this level of service they managed to avoid some of the usual pompous pitfalls of other fine dining restaurants in town. In short, it was our best meal in Taipei and I would strongly recommend booking in advance for anyone planning to visit TaiwanPindaya Farm House: "Very good"
Our 2-day stay at the Pindaya Farm House (formerly Thahara Pindaya) was really wonderful. The hosts, Aye Aye, Ko Yangon and their staff took very good care of us. Our room was very nice, the food home cooked and very tasty, and the sightseeing recommendations very helpful. We visited of course the famous Pindaya Caves, but after we had come back from the about 1.5 hrs easy trek (round trip) to the green tea plantations on the same mountain (we recommend the trek!). Shan paper making was another very nice stop. Our hosts took us to a weaver in a local village, away from the tourist area, simple but kind of a hidden gem. Thank you very much to our hosts and Aye Aye's sister for the wonderful stay we had at their guest house.Cuca: "Gastronomical delight & stunning experience"
Myself and my husband went to this place on my birthday. This is one of the finest places I have been in Bali. The service so apt and upto the mark cant complain at all. We had ordered cuban corn, smoked butterfish, marinated pulled pork. Each dish was outstanding and very neatly presented. Also they explain the dish when they serve and explain how one should eat it. That is truly remarkable. And for the desert we atually ended up ordering Bali breakfast which was coconut cream, passion fruit and runny mango which was so delicious. I would always visit this place for tapas, its ambience, its service.Nimmu House: "4 nights of sheer bliss"
"We spent a bulk of our stay in Ladakh at Nimmu House and it truly was the best decision ever. We stayed in one of the tents which was super spacious and extremely comfortable. The property itself is a picture-book-kinda pretty and we just loved hanging out at the patio or napping on the hammocks. But what makes Nimmu feel more like a home than a house is the fantastic team running the place. From the manager to the chefs to the wait-staff down to the housekeeping and gardeners, everybody is just really nice and welcoming and ready to help if needed. The best part about our stay here however, was the food. After some pretty average meals in the rest of Ladakh, the meals at Nimmu were just fantastic. Do yourself a favour and don't book just a single night here. Ideally, once you're done sightseeing and roadtripping, stop by here for at least 3 days of R&R...you won't regret it. The only one piece of feedback we had for the management/ owners was to invest in better power back up. With frequent power cuts, it's a must."The Island Lodge: "Best"
Best hotel we stayed in in our 14 day travel. Delicious food and a nice staff would've been improved if there had been more people but that's a natural effect of not being in season. The breakfast was good for Europeans it's like a European island...great managersSatri House: "A wonderful happiness at a cozy little boutique hotel"
"We are a family with kids and a nanny. At first, we booked this hotel on Agoda web for the first 2 nights ( our plan in Luang Prabang was 6 days/5 nights). Then we planed to spend our first 2 days traveling around and get to know Luang Prabang before move to other hotels that near the old city. This hotel is not much different as seen in the picture and the swimming pool is just nice for our kids ( 2.5 yrs old and a baby 5 months old). They loved to go to swimming pool almost everyday. The first night, we ended up having dinner at hotel restaurant which is the same dining place for having breakfast. The dinner was very good. The Laotian food tasted yummy and not too spicy. Our kid loves fried nugget chicken with french fries so much (we were back to order this quite a few times during the rest of our stay. Later, we went out to check on our wish list hotels like 3Nagas, Azaria (near night market), Belle Rives (very nice view to see Mae Khong river), we also got the chance to dine at 3Nagas as well ( see our review for 3Nagas restaurant) BUT we didn't very much like those hotels ambience and there is not-a-good-swimming pool for our kids to swim as well as Satri house. So we came back and talked to Satri House hotel manager "" Giovanni"" that we loved to extend our stay at Satri House for the next 4 days/3 nights. It was very appreciated to say that Satri hotel GM gave us a good hotel deal package for our extended. We got the same junior suit room type with lower rate than the previous booking from Agoda website and a plus was the spa for 2 (oil massage or traditional Laotian massage) for free. We found that our trip in Laos wouldn't be as nice if we didn't stay at Satri House. It was a family friendly hotel, Very nice breakfast (we tried every breakfast menu during our 6 days stay in both international dish and local dish). Our kids like hot chocolate drink and we all loved fresh orange juices and a fruit bowl in every morning too (croissant and bread were also good). I could even say that some of the dish is as good as 3Nagas or even better! For us, we are no need to go to other hotels or go through those restaurants that listed with overrated star in Laung Prabang. We finally were happy with Satri House for the stay, the food, the location, the friendly and always helpful hotel staff and especially, Hotel GM. Thanks for taking good care of us. We hope to go back again for our next vacation soon. Love Satri House! We impressed."
