David’s Kitchen: "A ‘must go’ in Chiang Mai"

"My wife and I went here for a celebration night on our honeymoon and were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived. David's team spared no effort in making this a special night. The menu and wine list are unmatched anywhere with superb service. The food is absolutely amazing and if this was in London customers would be queueing out the door. The restaurant is only a very short taxi ride from the hustle and bustle of the city centre and the premises are a contemporary haven of tranquility. Worth going to Chiang Mai for this wonderful experience alone!"

Muang La Lodge: "An outstanding experience"

"One of the best management we ever experienced, the food sublime, probably the best we had in Laos! From our arrival to our leave we have been taken extra care by these two young managers! They were also able to hand down their passion to the local staff, an impressive task considering the circumstances of the location. I would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling in Laos, especially if you love food and thermal waters! Thank you very much for the amazing time and for the color pencils for our little daughter we found on the mini bus when we left!"

Inle Princess Resort: "Lakefront luxury"

From arrival to departure, everything at Inle Princess resort was an absolute delight. The enormous lakefront room is filled handcrafted decorations and a beautiful ceiling that stretches 10 metres above you. The outdoor shower is a fantastic addition. The resort grounds are again filled with handmade pots, signs and other decorative elements - all crafted on-site. The pool is wonderful, and quiet, the free breakfast consists of warm freshly made pastries and delicious eggs to order, and the staff are all so friendly and helpful. To have received a hand-wrapped and hand-written gift from the staff at the end of the stay was the icing on the cake. A wonderful experience. One minor criticism was that we found the taxi to the airport to be a little expensive so we sourced our own but a very minor blot on an otherwise fantastic stay.

MATHIS RETREAT: "Quiet place in the rice fields"

"Beautiful hotel, very peacefull place. All staff are very kind. Special thanks to the manager Karine who is absolutely dedicated to her guests. Few minutes talk will make her understand exactly what you expect from your trip, and so she will advise you the best excursions and things to do. "

Hotel Tugu Lombok: "What a nice place"

"We (couple with daughter) spent 3 days at this exceptional hotel. Usually we go out to explore the surrounding but this time we stayed at the hotel because it is such a nice place. The staff and management are really motivated to give the guests an unforgettable time. The place is spacious and the rooms are big and very nice decorated. Only downside is the beach. Good for having a relax time on the sunbeds but not so good for swimming. There are some sea urchin. The hotel provides special shoes so you still can go in the water. A better alternative is to go to Gili Air for swimming, diving or snorkeling. It is very close (20 min. by boat). Or just stay at one of the pools and enjoy the very good bar and restaurant. Thanks to everyone who made or stay so nice. We will be back for sure!"

Flower Island Resort: "Excelente!!"

Nos hospedamos 5 noches con mi familia, el lugar es increible! La playa es espectacular, el personal del hotel es muy amable!! La verdad que nos sentimos muy bien alli, cuando te hospedas por mas de 3 noches te llevan gratis de excursion a la granja de perlas y a otra playa para hacer snorkel y pasar parte del dia, la comida es muy buena, si bien no hay mucha variedad es muy fresca y muy rica. Un lugar que vale la pena conocer de filipinas!!

Mrauk U Princess Resort: "Ein der schönsten Anlagen"

Einpacken und hinfliegen. Bemerkenswerte Oase der Ruhe und Schönheit. Nicht riesig aber hier gibt garantiert Relax pur. Für Geniesser! Falls die Schönheit der Region erkunden möchte danach ist der geeigneten Platz neue Kräfte n zu sammeln.

Glenburn Tea Estate: "Touching perfection"

From the moment you arrive at Glenburn and greeted by Will Faye and Alex, the wonderful experience of Glenburn begins. The buildings might be old English but the staff and the service is warm and attentive. A morning walk to the river of a little over 2 hours through the Glenburn Tea plantations with a wonderful guide is rewarded with welcome refreshments and a BBQ lunch. Heaven. On another day, Parveez the Plantation Manager, who manages 1000 people, took time out of his busy schedule to take us on a tour of the Tea Factory and educate us on the finer points of making tea, Darjeeling tea. We learn about Silver Needle, First Flush, Green and Oolong tea. Further walks through the local villages and we meet such happy and smiling people. You feel yourself wind down and relax. The meals are wonderful at Glenburn, all prepared with themes each evening around a table with all the guests eating together. Breakfasts and lunches are either taken on the veranda with the other guests, in your room or packed up for you if you are travelling. Nothing is too much trouble and everything is possible at Glenburn. Train tickets were changed, guides provided for private trips and food and drink prepared on request. Heaven! As Arne said famously "We'll be back!"

David’s Kitchen: "Best experience in Chiang Mai"

We went to DK to celebrate our honeymoon... since the beginning the staff was very nice, they set us up a table for "honeymooners" with roses and a special card signed by David and his wife. The food was excellent!!!! Every single plate we ate. David arrived to our table and was very kind and friendly to us, we even took a picture with him!! His wife is very nice too. We highly recommend David's Kitchen

Slow Villas and Spa: "Perfect Stay for Honeymoon!"

"Beautiful Private Villa with with Private Pool My husband and I have a honeymoon staycation in this villa, and we loved it so much. It's located not too far away from the beach, but enough distance to stay away from the crowd. So it’s very perfect for honeymon. We've got a very beautiful spacey villa with a private pool and very spacey backyard. We stay at Villa Number 1. With beautiful interior and big bed, also we love the open bathroom so much! We Love the Eco Concept Slow Villas is very eco-friendly, we’ve got our own bottle for drink and we can bring it outside, wether for dinner outside or beach time. We can also refill it everytime, we don’t need to buy extra water. We’ve got our own kitchen with complete utensil, so you can stay all day long at the villa. And we’ve got yoga matt, which I never found on another villa/hotel, we can join the free yoga clas everyday at ten in the morning. The Best Breakfast! Because Slow VIlla doesn’t have restaurants, they will serve the breakfast at our villa, which you can choose from English themed-breakfast to Australia to America. It’s very delicious. We enjoy it on our table beside the pool. Photogenic Villas As a travel writer and enthusiast, I love taking pictures of anything. And I love every side of our villa. It's beautiful and we made a lot of beautiful pictures. lol! Best Services The staffs were very nice, also we can rent the bicycle anytime. Room Tip: It's perfect, don't forget to buy food or vegetables, you can cook it on your own kitchen!"
