Maison Polanka: "Slice of Paradise"
After a long, hot day visiting temples, driving up to the front gates of Maison Polanka was a welcome relief. You knew from the moment you stepped through the gates, you would be well taken care of and be in an oasis of green. The staff treated us like long lost family and knew all our names from the moment we arrived. Our room (purple room) was spacious and well appointed with a great shower. It was clean and perfect. Meals by the pool were peaceful and delicious. There was really no reason to leave to go for meals. The swimming pool was small but the perfect place to cool off. My son (10yrs) was entertained by the bunnies and puppy and wandered the property freely. The tours and tuk tuks that were arranged were fantastic and reasonably priced. All in all, a great experience. The River Resort: "Mekong glorious"
"We got upgraded for being the first Taiwanese visitors in its much venerated history (lol) and the river view is so very good, even a terrible photographer could shoot a photo with hues like Apocalypse Now or King Kong. Food is actually unexpectedly good, all the staff are wonderful people, I could not come up with anything to complain except that it's kinda weird with hotel this big and visitors this scarce, a bit ""Get Out"" as my friends and I had consensus upon."Villa Song: "Beautiful boutique hotel"
"This hotel is an old french colonial building on the banks of the Mekong river in District 2. The rooms are beautiful. By circumstance, we had the opportunity to experience three different rooms in the hotel. The Riverview rooms have a better view, but are noisier with the restaurant below. The garden/pool side rooms are quiet and the view of the garden is lovely, but beyond that into the distance it's just a neighbourhood view which is nothing special. The restaurant serves excellent food - I was actually surprised how wonderful everything we ate there was. There is a free shuttle boat into the city, which is a nice perk."Villa Song Saigon: "A place to relax"
"We visited Villa Song on our last night in Vietnam. What a wonderful boutique Hotel. The staff could not be more helpful The room we had was on the ground floor with access to the pool area, the room was spacious and very comfortable. The manager was so good he let us purchase an item from his hotel entrance as he said he could get a replacement from Hanoi. Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"Sukoon Houseboat: "Perfect luxurious houseboat, great service, food and location."
We booked the suite at the back of the boat which was very quiet. Babu the waiter was fantastic. The food was really great, had the best momos (even in Nepal/Tibet they are soggy and poor quality). The little motor boat to take us to and from the shore was perfect. Definitely take a little Shikara for an hour's boat ride. Take time to relax and enjoy the houseboat though. Good book and some Kashmiri tea, perfect.Muang La Lodge: "Da non perdere"
If you go in northern Laos you should definitely stop at the lodge. Rooms comfortable and spotless hospitality and impeccable service. Lovely pool ... turkish bath massage and two beautiful pools of thermal water from which to admire the view while sipping a delicious cocktail. Breakfast and dinner excellent. Delicious also picnic during a hike.Locavore: "Great cuisine"
"Tolle Küche , viele Überraschungen . Hat Spaß gemacht . Super vegi Menü . Toller Service mit außergewöhnlichen Cocktails . Ein muss in Ubud ."tugu bali: "Authentique Indonesian Decor"
"Without doubt, the room in Tugu Bali is one of the best we ever stayed. Everything was design to the utmost details to represent Indonesian (Java) beauty. We only stay in the Rejang Suite Ocean view for one night on the last leg of our adventure in Bali. The location in Pantai Batu Bolong, Canggu is rather secluded, but busy with surfers. Perfect for honeymooners. The staff are extremely helpful and polite; from the reception, bellboy, gardener, waiters. Definitely we want to come back and spend more time there "Slow Villas and Spa: "Le paradis sur terre"
We stayed 3 nights in March. Everything about the hotel was lovely- room, staff, pool and food. District 2 is quiet with good local restaurants and bars and taxis from the airport and city centre cheap. The hotel also provides a boat shuttle to the city which was great fun. Rooms on the upper floors will be quieter.Travel Asia with Secret Retreats
