Tugu Bali: "Tugu Hotel Bali is a luxurious slice of history"
I stayed in a Dedari suite while I was at the Tugu Hotel Bali. I loved having the private plunge pool and outdoor swing daybed. I also quite liked the outdoor bathtub with attached koi pond. However, the hotel decor is what's so amazing here, and it is definitely one of the main reasons for staying at this hotel. Everywhere you look there are beautiful antiques and artefacts. It's a living museum. I also took in the Thursday evening cultural dinner which includes a Balinese dance and music performance. If you are a traveller looking for a truly unique Bali experience this is the place to have it.Pindaya Farm House: "Fantastic"
It was our last day in Myanmar just before flying to Yangoon and back home. It was exactly the place we were looking for after visiting and staying at different hotels around Myanmar. The location and the big hut are magical, look and feel as if inside a legend. The warm hospitality and the great food made us feel at home. unfortunately we stayed there 1 night only. Could stay there for a week.Mathis Retreat: "Love this place!"
Visited for the 2nd time. And still love this place! Really small boutique feeling with all you want in holiday. Nice rooms, nice breakfast, nice staff, nice pool and perfect rice paddy view! Definitely would recommend to my friends.Tandjung Sari: "12 Days at Tandjung"
Our stay was very close to perfect- we selected a garden villa as our home base for the family holiday. The staff at Tandjung were so attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Starting each day with a shower (in the private outside villa courtyard) then having breakfast on the beachfront was a daily highlight for me. The villa and the grounds and the facilities around the resort were immaculate and the security staff at both ends of the property added to a sense of exclusivity. And lastly, Tandjung is great value; a similar quality room at a Seminyak resort cost my cousin more than double the rate. We will come back to Tandjung Sari for sure.Reverie Siam Pai: "Best couple getaway in Pai"
This could be one of the best kept secret place in Pai. We stayed in a mountain view suite which is very spacious. The hotel is so lovely and the food at the main restaurant is so good that we were really reluctant to go anywhere. A perfect stay!Rahai’i Pangun: "Best boat on the river, great guiding"
"Wow Borneo organized a trip for me to Tanjung Puting to see orangutans, and then to Komodo to see dragons. Their boat to Tanjung Puting seemed to be the most comfortably furnished among the tour boats I saw on the river, and the food and guiding were excellent. Bear in mind that the visits to 3 feeding stations involve sitting among an audience with lots of other tourists from many boats as the orangutans arrive, eat and leave. We were lucky in that we got to see wild orangutans outside of this context as we cruised down the river. The monkeys and birds were worth watching, too (one monkey sneaked on board looking for food, but took off without succeeding). For the Komodo trip, the boat was more basic, but the guiding was still great and there was a greater variety of activities, including hiking, snorkeling, beaching, and of course walking among the incredible Komodo dragons. We also got to visit a couple of interesting fishing villages when we stopped for supplies."Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "a Charming and nostalgic elegant retreat in Penang"
"This is my 3rd stay at Cheong Fatt Tze in 10 years Not only the building is beautifully restored and maintained, but a lot of efforts have been put to improve comfort in the rooms (new refurbished) and facilities (new garden and pool , new bar...) The Manager Daniel has done a great job with him team for attention to service and friendliness Impressive improvements. congratulations to all... We will be back!"Rak Ko Jae Seoul: "Serene"
Stayed for 3 nights and could not have enjoyed it more. Very authentic, traditional, historical, without being tacky or touristy, maintained and run to a T. Very central, yet, once you are on the premises, it feels like you are in a literati's cabin somewhere remote. Special thanks and credit to Sung Won Kim, who manages the place, for his professionalism, hospitality, and great recommendations on Seoul hikes. Would love to come back.Neeleshwar Hermitage: "PERFECTION, PERFECTION, PERFECTION"
"I've been travelling to India for many decades and over the years I have stayed in some amazing places, from Maharaja palaces to colonial mansions. What I can honestly say is that Neeleshwar represents the absolute perfection when it comes to resorts. We stayed for 4 nights and I only wish we could have stayed here for months! The location is heavenly, on the most magnificent, endless sandy beach one can imagine, completely unspoilt by any kind of development. The feeling of peace and quiet is mesmerizing. The architecture and layout of the resort is a model of good taste and sensitivity, with extremely comfortable a/c bungalows in the pure traditional architecture of rural Kerala. Open air bathrooms, supremely comfortable beds, high ceilings, shady verandas and cool interiors create a heaven of understated luxury and calm. This is barefoot chic at its best. The swimming pool is vast and crystal-clear, with plenty of comfortable pool beds and with a lovely view of the ocean. When it comes to food, I can only say that it is simply out of this world: Fantastic and huge breakfasts where one can choose from extensive menus, both international and South Indian. For lunch and dinner there are two exceptional restaurants, especially for seafood -perhaps the best prawn curry I ever had- plus a wide choice of vegetarian dishes and soups that change every day. The Ayurveda massages are truly top notch, and they use only natural organic ingredients. Quite simply, they are the real thing. Very highly recommended! Last but not least, I feel that I have to praise the hotel personnel, that are all impeccable: Extremely polite, eager to help, efficient and professional at the same time. I owe a very special ""THANK YOU"" to the General Manager, Mr. Jayan, who attended to all my needs as if he was an old friend. I am especially interested in the unique Theyyam ritual of northern Kerala and I was planning to publish an article about it. Mr. Jayan did all the necessary enquiries and found out the performances that were held in obscure villages during our stay. He also organized transport and even joined us on one of the late night Theyyams, which was the most amazing, otherworldly, intense experience. Therefore Neeleshwar is not just about having ""the rest of your life"" but also about experiencing a very unique aspect of real India. I cannot recommend this place highly enough and I would encourage anyone to spend a few -or more than a few- days in this Indian paradise"4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Dream away"
Incredible vistas; waking up for a swim to the nearby island by jumping in the river; safe environment in the midst of a jungle; amazing holiday for an affordable price... must pass if you visit Cambodia! A unique place and something you will remember for as long as you will live and that's an understatement!
