"Misool Eco Resort combines the best parts of conservation, sustainability, diving and watersports in a laidback luxury style. The food was always delicious and care is taken to not waste food by preordering meals. Fresh and local ingredients are used. No plastic bottles or packaged products are used on the island and ocean-friendly toiletries are available in the villas. At the same time the attention and friendliness of all staff and the beautiful setup create a 5star experience. The diving sites are some of the best in the world and care is taken that the dive groups stay small and there is never many divers at the same time on one divesite. Sue, Mark and Sabine (the managers and head of watersports) are friendly, fun and very knowledgeable and take time to get to know each guest to ensure everyone can make the most out of their stay! "I came to Siem Reap for a mix between work and leisure and Samar Villa was the perfect fit. First, as I saw in many reviews, Bertrand and his team are always very attentive to our every need. They helped us organize various functions: from meals in unique restaurants, to temples visits and surprising platform rental with full service on Tonle Sap. We and our clients left absolutely delighted by our stay. Apart from this wonderful service, the villa itself is remarkable. The owners have impeccable taste and a beautiful collection of antiques throughout the public areas and rooms. My suite was spacious and homey and spotless, like I've rarely seen. Wanted to stay there for two nights only, but after the first night we immediately booked three more nights. So lovely, so great. Really recommended if you are looking for a quiet and relaxed place. Not the cheapest, but well worth the money! VERY friendly staff and excellent food (dinner must be ordered in the afternoon). Nice pool as well and free bikes to explore the neighborhood. One of our favourite hotels we have ever been to. The staff are so friendly and sincere and make you feel so welcome. The ambiance is spectacular with all the antiques, open areas, blue ocean, just breathtaking. We recommend the fresh caught fish of the day Indonesian style. Great food! The Island Lodge was perfect for our family holiday. The lodge has a great, handy location, we wanted a taste of the Mekong and did not have time to travel any further yet we felt tucked away in the greenery beside the river. It is a smaller boutique style family owned place with beautiful grounds, gardens and wonderfully friendly helpful staff. My boyfriend and I stayed at Tugu for two nights and loved the place. Excellent design and decor - very much authentic, stylish Balinese - with delicious Indonesian food, gorgeous cocktails and first class service. Some great views for the upstairs rooms, but go for the private pool villas downstairs or a room nearer the back of the hotel if you want total peace and quiet. "The Maduzi never fails. Fantastically located just off Asoke & about 200 metres to the SkyTrain. The Maduzi is stylish, modern though at the same time it feels like you’re at home. The rooms are fantastic, large, the biggest beds you’ll find in Bangkok & lovely appointed bathrooms with amenities. The hotel has a good size restaurant which serves beautiful breakfasts & to say the most gorgeous bircher muesli I have ever had. So many hotels are alike but at the Maduzi, the staff really makes this place top-notch. They are always welcoming, friendly & always up for a chat. Undoubtedly, the best small hotel in Bangkok. Cannot wait to return!"
