The Village House: "Fabulous retreat-you must stay here!"
"We stayed at The Village house in mid August this year (2015), and we loved every minute of our stay. The rooms are luxurious, wonderfully comfortable and thoughtfully and tastefully decorated. The hotel itself is stunning, everything has been done for you to effortlessly enjoy the stunning surroundings and allow you to fully relax. We took lots of trips from The Village House, all of which were excellent and extremely hassle free. We ate in the restaurant every day and never had a bad meal, again a really thoughtfully put together menu and everything was fabulous. The greatest accolade goes tot eh staff, they are amazing, made us feel very welcome and at home, fantastic experience."Villa Song Saigon: "Great location"
Extremely well run hotel, the staff are outstanding. The riverside location is peaceful and stunning. Shuttle or boat to town if you want the bustle. Restaurant is good, but could do with less European dishes and more Vietnamese dishes. Breakfast is excellent, have the Pho.Glenburn Tea Estate: "Lap of the Mighty Himalayas"
Tea Plantation Tour’ which makes “Darjeeling” world famous. This is which can make your ‘Tour Differently’ from the usual program in this region as you may visit one of the iconic tea garden called Glenburn Tea Estate. You will be experiencing the tea plantation & nature walk. ‘Eat Differently’ while you lunch with the local cuisines in the lap of the mighty Himalayas.Tugu Bali: "Luxury Getaway Balinese style"
I returned to the Tugu 15 years after my first visit, and it remains a bastian of calm in a sea of tourists who are now expected in Bali. The dark wood and carvings are characteristic of Bali and perfect for someone looking for a Balinese style - not an American hotel. Food and service were top notch and delicious, and I noticed a few private rooms for private functions. We took beautiful pictures on the beach at sunset.Rachamankha: "Oasis in Chaing Mai"
This Ong-ard-designed hotel is a marvelous oasis in this bustling city. The staff is extremely attentive and the restaurant is as good as any in town. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and the design continually surprises and pleases you. You can't go wrong staying hereLocavore: "A must in Ubud"
Amazing detail to local dishes. We would recommend to anyone travelling to Ubud. Both meat and vege options were incredible. Also great value for money.Glenburn Tea Estate: "Relaxing Peaceful Stay"
"A beautiful place under the shadows of Darjeeling and majestic view of Towering Kanchanjenga. Located on a ridge surrounded by tea plantation. Spacious accommodation with large rooms beautifully decorated with cultural paintings. Food is excellent with menu different every day. That whole staff is courteous and ever smiling. Plenty of activities which can be arranged by the management if you want to keep yourself occupied. Otherwise, relax and read a book under a tree, listening to chirping birds which are quite in number. Except for the approach road the place is ideal for people looking for serenity from the hustle bustle of city life. Hospitality covers all the little difficulties if one feels. I am surely recommending to all my friends and relatives. Experience worth it. Jemima keep up the good work and all the best to your staff for taking care of us. Stayed April 2017, traveled with family"Bassac Mekong Delta Cruises by Secret Retreats: "Excellent overnight cruise"
I agree with all the other reviews that rate this highly. Annie was our guide too (on Bassac III, the biggest of their 3 boats, sleeping a maximum of 24). Annie was a lovely guide with extremely good English. Even though she was a last minute substitute for another guide who had been taken ill, and she had been working herself and was expecting to go and visit her mother, she was gracious, enthusiastic and helpful. I didn't get up to see the sunrise but I loved the visit to the floating market and the peacefulness and beauty of the smaller canal we went along.Tugu Bali: "A rare gem"
"I stayed at Tugu hotel with my wife and my little one and we absolutely loved it. A rare beautiful place in the middle of a lush garden. They did an incredible job to maintain this historic place. The mystique beach of Canggu is one step ahead which can be enjoyed thanks to a very convenient ""green beach deck"" to enjoyed all the facilities of the 5 stars. The service is excellent. The Indonesian food very tasty and I simply loved the surprising Japanese restaurant. We need now to test the Tugu hotel in Lombok !"Mie Cafe: "A lovely experience"
"We chose this restaurant for its proximity to the Beatocello concert at the children's hospital. (Saturday nights - an extraordinary event put on by Dr Beat Richner in support of the children's hospital which he founded.) The restaurant is stylishly cool and modern, with a little fish pond running alongside the outside patios (into which my fork unfortunately dived.) The food is delicious, and the chef came out to talk to the guests about his plans to develop the restaurant. a very enjoyable evening."
