Supanniga Eating Room: "Great Thai"

Recommended by a Thai friend. The food was excellent. Great service as well. The restaurant was full on a Tuesday night, you have to book. At least a dozen people came while we were eating and had to leave, because it was fully booked. My husband prefers his food not too spicy and they accommodate him. All the dishes we tried were excellent! Very good value and nice atmosphere.

The Village House: "Best place to stay on the peninsula"

I would echo all the previous reviews. Yes this place is out of the way, and in a completely different spot to the big resorts in Damai. But that is exactly the reason for choosing it, it's very intimate and relaxing, there's no kids around and you feel like you're experiencing something closer to Malaysian culture.

Satri House: "A little bit of paradise!"

"We stayed for 4 nights in two deluxe rooms and loved everything about the hotel. We didn't see a junior suite but were more than happy with our rooms which were located on the top floor with balconies. The rooms were spacious with large shower rooms and separate toilets and free wifi. The hotel was fully occupied when we were there but as the rooms are spread around the grounds we often felt that we were the only ones there. The staff were excellent and always happy to help you. They organised for us to visit the waterfalls by travelling along the Mekong on a private boat to a nearby village where we were then picked up by a pick up who took us then to the waterfalls. It was one of the highlights of our 3 week trip. The hotel grounds were beautiful. The inside communal areas were filled with wonderful antiques and furniture that added to the charm and peacefulness of the hotel. It takes about 10 minutes to walk onto the centre of Luang Prabang, but there were free bicycles to use if you preferred. If we returned to Luang Prabang, we wouldn't hesitate in returning to this hotel. In fact, we wouldn't stay anywhere else! Thank you to all the staff that made our stay so enjoyable."

The Apsara Rive Droite: "Very nice place"

Perfect location near by the river Khan, and so close the center with all shops, restaurants and bars. Warm welcome. Rooms having a very good value for money. Plus, we had a nice meal at the restaurant. Friendly staff and kind manager Christopher.

Tugu Malang: "Wonderful stay in a slightly eccentric hotel."

"What an experience!! This hotel was perfect, get the best room you can afford - it is so worth it. The hotel is an attraction in its own right, make sure you take the tour to see the VIP suites and function rooms., the bizarre collection of furniture and nick nacks courtesy of the owners. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and all of the trips we took originated from their suggestions and with their help. The piece de resistance is the full day tour to Mt Bromo with waterfall included, organised and accompanied by front desk staff (amazing). Malang itself is a wonderful indonesian city with first rate coffee shops, a great bird market and some lovely streets to walk down. PS(the free afternoon tea is a must)"

MesaStila: "Best Start to 2017 and Beautiful Resort"

"I stayed at MesaStila for 2 nights with my friend. We took the Borobodur package that the Resort offer and beautiful Villa over looking the volcano. It is very authentic atmosphere, beautiful and retreat place. what make the place is more special and made a huge different is their employee. My friend would like to have ""Bakso"" which is traditional Indonesian beef/chicken ball noodles and it is not in the restaurant menu. Ana the waitress at Restaurant have gone out of her way instead of saying sorry we do not have Bakso but have said to us that let me check with the Chef and see what I can do for you. Been a Malaysian who understand half of their language I can understand very clearly when Ana mentioned to the Chef over the phone and politely mentioned"" please chef try to do something to make our guest happy"". To me that is 5 star service!! Afdi our Driver during our stay, very professional from the day he pick us up from Yogja,took us to Borubodur and drop us at the airport, he been very kind, helpful and very informative by explaining to us on surroundings while driving us around. Reception who check us in ( I forgot her name - lady with short Hair) - she is very good and has given us proper Resort Tour and Room Orientation. Lily - the lady who took us for coffee plantation, she is very knowledgeable about the surroundings and the history of the resort. The therapist - I had 2 treatment at their Hamman Spa and I can only say excellent! Everyone should try the ""jamu"" drinks and met the lovely Ibu who prepare the Jamu. For Improvement: Accommodation - Everything is antique in the room, I think the lighting need to have some improvement as it is too dark and combination of lighting with yellow and florescent does not goes well. other than that all is great. Landscaper - my suggestion when we have guest occupying the villa perhaps the trimming or cutting trees will be done when the guest not in the villa as this will disturb the privacy of the guest when they are at balcony. Pillow - The Resort should set up 4 pillow for the bed instead of 2 very soft one on the bed and the remaining is in the closet. Sometimes the hotel guest will not recognize that the second pillow is in the closet. Most of 4 & 5 star hotel now set up 4 pillow on the bed instead of 2. Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "More than excellent hotel on the lake"

"This hotel far exceeded expectations. We were drawn to this hotel because of their approach - not for profit organization which provides on-site vocational training to young people in the region providing them a skill set in the ever growing hospitality industry. - Property/rooms nicely designed & well-maintained. - Housekeeping staff great. Rooms thoroughly cleaned. Great turn down service. - Restaurant staff also great. Helpful and had good command of English language. - Breakfast and dinner was delicious. Extra star for breakfast - homemade baked goods and jam! I've had over cooked scrambled eggs in many places. But not here! - Gift shop was great. All their products are from disadvantaged community groups around the area so what you buy goes back to support their livelihood. - Loved the organic vegetable garden growing on property. - Only thing average was massage service. Not sure they are properly trained. Only regret is that we didn't stay longer! I was pleasantly surprised to see the caliber of service from these student trainees we received. To the management - whatever training program you have designed, you have done it extremely well! Please keep up these standards! Stayed March 2016, traveled with family"

Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Wonderful retreat to experience the peace that is northern Kerala"

"The approach is a bit inauspicious, but once you enter and are greeted by the scented garland, er person who places it over you and then brings a refreshing wash towel followed by coconut water still in the nut, you know you've entered a place that won't leave you wanting. This was my second stay because it provided a perfect respite from the vibrant and fun chaos that goes with visiting India and their cities in particular. The peaceful place that allowed me to relax and unwind before returning home. The Hermitage's layout is charming, with winding foot paths connecting the villas that are surrounded by nature. The bungalows are solid, spacious, comfortable, well furnished, with options for cooling (open windows & ceiling fan or closed windows and just ac). Staff are friendly and helpful, the Arabian Sea is swimable with a wide beach and the pool great as well. The on-site food is pretty good and they'll turn up the heat if you want it that way. And if one wanders off site, on foot or by bike, you'll experience the charm and warmth of the surrounding farming & fishing communities. When visiting India and you want a calm, 'oh this adventure had to end sometime, but let's end on a serene note', Neeleshwar is a wonderful place to unwind and just be. I'll be back again!"

Villa Song: "2 nights in heaven"

Beautifully appointed boutique hotel, stunning grounds, friendly staff away from the hustle of the city. Very clean and immaculate with lovely breakfast. Free speed boat into district one was just the icing on the cake
