4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "The best of Cambodia"
"We were picked up from the airport in Phnom Penh in the car arranged by 4 Rivers. It was a Toyota Camry, the driver was excellent, we felt safe driving through the traffic of Phnom Penh. After about 1.5 hrs we stopped for refreshments at a roadside restaurant that had the cleanest toilets ever. As we got out of the city traffic the scenery got more and more rural with great views of village life. It took us about 4.5hrs to reach the reception on the banks of the River Tatai. Our luggage was loaded on to the boat and we left straight away for the 30 minute transfer to the floating lodge. As we passed the final bend in the river the lodge came into view. What a sight!!. We were met at the lodge by Adonis who showed us to our tent and gave us information about the lodge. The tent was well appointed and had the most amazing view of local village houses on the opposite bank. We chose the last tent on the west side of the lodge and felt at one with the river. We relaxed on the pontoon during parts of the day soaking up the sun and spent the rest of the time with our guide ""By"" (I think that is the spelling) He took us on a trip to a local fishing village and introduced us to the local people. He gave us an unforgettable experience and enabled us to get a real view of the hard lives of the fishing community and some of the environmental challenges they face now and in the future. We finished the trip by kayaking into the mangroves and By's local knowledge made our time so special. The following day he took us out again at dawn on a short Jungle trek. We saw some wildlife but the high lite for us was seeing the school children arriving for classes at the local school we were able to pop into the class and see the children in their lessons. Really special. The evenings were so serene the sunsets were amazing whilst swimming in the river. At night the staff continue to impress with tasty cocktails and great food. (you choose you meals in the afternoon when one of the staff visits you at your tent). The food here is first class nice authentic Khmer cuisine with more western options for those who prefer. They also offer reasonably priced wine by the bottle or glass (yes wine in the jungle). Before dinner there is also the option to see the fireflies. All aboard the boat for a short trip down the river. Then lights out engine off as you drift slowly down stream looking for the fireflies. Really special we did it twice. We spent 3 nights at the lodge and I must say this was the most memorable part of our time in Cambodia. All the staff were amazing and it was an honour to meet them and hear about their lives living and working in this most unspoilt part of the world. Thanks to everyone at 4 Rivers. We wont forget any of you and will cherish our memories. Room Tip: The tents at the end of the row are more private"Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Just the best, if you can stay here"
The care and attention to detail I do not believe can be improved at this excellent place. All the staff, and indeed the owner are at hand to make your visit a positive one. I do not eat meat and was given an array of specially made food for my pleasure. The views on clear days are spectacular and to sit with a cup of tea and watch the mountains is a very special experience.Tugu Lombok: "Great Service, Awesome Beach"
"Me and my husband had a really great experience at Tugu Lombok. From the staffs, Manager (Henry), and GM (Sharon) they really showed their best efforts to make our stay pleasant. We enjoyed the tasty breakfast and the lovely setting of my dinner at the beach. But i think Tugu Lombok really need to upgrade its website to make it more interesting =) Thank you Tugu Lombok team for making my holiday memorable."Maduzi Hotel: "Spacious & wonderful hotel in e midst of a busy city"
This hotel room is huge beyond imagination. I had a free upgrade to corner suite. The mini bar was free. There was a huge bath tub with the water coming down from the ceiling. The width of the bed was about 2 meters and it was super comfortable and soft. Service was great and efficient. Furniture is a little damaged here and there but it is negligible. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay.Les Maisons Wat Ko: "Small family run hotel"
Lovely stop on our travel through Cambodia. Food was excellent and rooms lovely. The pool area was being tidied when we were there so hopefully this is complete now. Loved the deep fried flowers we received with our drinks.Villa Song Saigon: "What a surprise"
"I spend at least 1/4 of the year on the road and have had my share of good and bad hotels. So I'm a real freak for a comfortable bed, convenience and efficiency when I'm travelling on business. I'm on the go early (4:30am) and need to be able to print, scan, etc and have really good wifi. So it was with trepidation that I booked a stay at last minute with Villa Song. Well, it did not disappoint. The staff were wonderful, very friendly and helpful with everything. The room was very open and comfortable, everything I needed, even for business. The all day breakfast was great as was the food at the restaurant. My only gripe could possibly be the instant coffee packets (for sweet cold coffee I think) in the room - I would have expected something better, may be a small French press. But it worked until the restaurant opened at 6:30 with a real espresso. The location was great, approx 45 min drive through the city from the airport, but at 5am on departure it took less than 25 minutes without traffic. And that business centre for printing? no issue. The staff happily did this at the front desk. They organised a driver who spoke good English for my appointments, and were of great help with suggestions. Always smiling. I look forward to coming back again soon."4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Wonderful location, and purpose to build eco tourism in Cambodia"
Gorgeous location, and the resort working with local villages to support a sustainable economy and environment we were impressed with. The waterfall close by is lovely and being able to kayak and paddle off your tent deck, whenever you want was lovely, peaceful and good sunsets as well. Food was good and the transport both ways was easy, and well organised. The staff were always extremely helpful and cheerful which really added to the experience.Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "Brilliant"
Great place, great staff, great food. The naturalist guides were extremely competent and went way beyond just finding Leopards - though they were great at that too. The tents are comfortable. A really great place to stay.Sandat Glamping Tents: "Stupendo"
"Struttura meravigliosa , immerso all'interno delle risaie . Entrando nel sandat sembra di entrare in un mondo zen , tranquillità , pace e meraviglia ! Sono stati 4 giorni stupendi abbiamo conosciuto Buda una ragazzo fantastico e simpatico come il resto del personale ! Consiglio di visitare la città con un autista della struttura praticamente un escursione privata ( ovviamente dovete sapere l' inglese) . Stupendo Stayed September 2016, traveled as a couple"The Twelve Hotel: "Excellent!"
Everything was perfect ! we stayed 3 nights and would certainly recommend this establishment. The welcome after a long journey was very nice, and we were very well advised to visit the city. the hotel is decorated with taste, beautiful rooms, and is well located in a quiet and relaxing. After a day of sightseeing, you can relax at the pool. Breakfast is delicious and the cocktails served at the bar too! In short, excellent stay Thanks!
