THE SAMAR: "Back Home"

Review by: Asiadvisor001 | Source: Trip Advisor
"Always a great feeling to go back to a place I like. The staff make me feel ""home"" as this is the 3rd time I stay here. Little attentions, smiles.. and this familiar atmosphere, the beautiful dark swimming pool. I travel quite a lot for both work and pleasure, and it is great to have ""harbors"" around, to rest, feel comfortable, recharge... The Samar is one of my harbors. Thanks to all of you!"

KHWAN BEACH RESORT: "Vacation in Ko Samui"

Review by: wingfunleung | Source: tripadvisor.com
"My wife and me spent 6 nights in a villa with two storeys with swimming pools. It was beautifully decorated with paintings inside and outside. Private and quiet in the resort area, yet very convenience. 2 mins walk to the beach, 4 mins walk to the shops and 15 mins drive to Santuri Golf Club. Staffs are very attentive and service are really good. It was just fabulous and we will sure come back again and again. "

Sea Dance Resort: "Excellent service, perfect atmosphere and great food."

Review by: JonasMarinceusP | Source: Trip Advisor
"- Great food (even has their own home grown vegetables) - Perfect service! - Excellent atmosphere! We came to the restaurant at a Wednesday night by accident, and we immediately felt very welcome. We decided to stay despite the fact that my girlfriend doesn't even like Thai food and there was a Thai buffet that night. We didn't regret it!! The Thai buffet was delicious and so was my girlfriends club sandwich (they made it possible for her to order from the a la carte menu, even though it was buffet only that night, and there was a big buffet prepared for the guests)! Very service minded We were there after told that we were welcome to come use their great facilities anytime during our stay at Koh Samui. We did that and we went back there for four days in a row because of the pool, kayaking/SUP-boards and especially the food. Had we only known how wonderful this place is we would have stayed here for sure! There was an English girl working in the restaurant, who'm was one of the nicest waiters I've ever encountered. She meant a lot to the place and if I was the owner I would make sure she would never leave her job Her and the rest of the excellent staff makes you feel at home instantly. "

4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Absolutely stunning!"

Review by: HarolddM | Source: Trip Advisor
"I have heard about 4Rivers for a long time before finally visiting in for the first time about 4 years ago. I was there again last week and realized how much I missed it. After a short boat drive from Road48 surrounded by lush jungle, a feel of Apocalypse Now, and a bend on the river, there… you discover 4Rivers! These white tents floating in the middle of this majestic hilly evergreen jungle, 4Rivers is like a haven of comfort and beauty in the middle of Tarzan’s home place! Koh Kong Province is definitely a must! Out of the beaten track but with the access becoming easier every year, if you were ever hesitating going this way, don’t!"

Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "Wild at Heart"

Review by: sabrinaMelbourneVic | Source: Trip Advisor
"As we pulled up to the meeting point , we were met with a striking man in safari attire, Danu. Danu (our host) is a much younger Sri Lankan version of Sir David Attenborough-with a dash of Indiana Jones. His knowledge for wildlife is amazing and he has an eagle eye for spotting animals as did our amazing driver who is so knowledgable and we loved hearing about his tiger encounters in India. Both these guys are passionate conservationists but make it really interesting and are very sensitive to the needs of wildlife and safari newbies. My husband and I became so comfortable around then we found ourselves asking ridiculous questions like ""Does that elephant get lonely?"" Danu is a true professional for keeping a straight face when he answered ""Um, I haven't gotten around to asking him""... We are still laughing about but seriously these guys are like your personal wildlife Wikipedia. We booked the normal tents and were absolutely blown away by the luxury. We have been staying in 5 Star hotels throughout Sri Lanka but this was the cleanest room/tent we have ever seen with the crispest sheets and plugs for my phone. I will miss my outdoor shower, there is no better feeling than having an outdoor shower after a big day in the park. I have to talk about the food. It was next level! This was by far the best food I have had in Sri Lanka and what made it SO special was Danu showing us how to eat it like a local. I loved learning about the cuisine and Sri Lankan culture under the stars. The guys who were serving us in the bar and restaurant- a lantern lit space under the stars treated me like a jungle queen! I miss them already and plan to kidnap them the next time I come back. So I would highly recommend these guys to anyone who has a deep respect for wildlife, a love for a bit of luxury in the jungle and those who are wild at heart. Yala is calling for you. Ki and Keelan"

Rachamankha: "Serene Refined Hotel"

Review by: theobsessivetraveler | Source: Trip Advisor
"Ratchamankha, Chiang Mai, Thailand The photos posted by other travelers hardly do justice to this exquisite jewel box of a hotel. Our family of four was lucky enough to stay in one of the newly opened two-bedroom suites. A long, covered balcony, complete with a silk-cushioned bench, runs the length of the suite, providing a view to the serene courtyard and pool below. A spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated living room divides the two bedrooms. Breakfast is served around the corner in a separate courtyard. Heaven! In the evening, a fire is lit and on special nights a local musician plays traditional melodies. Asian antiques and art are displayed throughout the property. An army of workers tend the garden and the buildings, keeping everything in immaculate shape. Additionally, the owner employs many Burmese refugees, trains them, houses them, and pays them well. You can feel wonderful about supporting such a hotel. What a find!!!! "

Rice & Zen Boutique Resort: "A M A Z I N G"

Review by: Theodorides Y | Source: Trip Advisor
"You are looking at a small resort with bungalows for rooms. Do not expect large hotel amenities but nothing will turn you off either. Its a hidden gem that offers exquisite luxury and privacy for those who seek just that. We visited the hotel for our honeymoon between 28 of December and 4 of January. We avoided the raining season but do expect some heavy rain that usually lasts between 10-30 minutes. Don't forget that these are the tropics. We choose a private pool villa and luckily we got one that had an ocean view. Since day one the staff was the best staff ever. Room was very clean and was maintained daily as well as towels.Tum (the staff manager I think) was always present for anything we requested, we owe him a praise. Staff added water and citronella in a candle evaporator so to drive away mosquitos that worked really well. The hotel is 10 minutes maximum by taxi from Chaweng beach which is a large tourist area where you can get any nightlife, any beach action or any restaurant you seek to spend the day. The hotel beach is not ideal for swimming because its a bit rocky but the infinity pool makes up for it. We booked half board and we never left the hotel. The restaurant food is very good and has a lot of options, breakfast as well. Prices are very decent and the barbecue days are the best. Our room did not get any Wifi signal at all which wasn't a problem for us since that kept us off our phones and might be a problem for some, but the reception at the restaurant was excellent and fast. There is a 7 Eleven within 5 minutes walk where someone can buy anything even cheaper. Buy a mosquito spray repellant from there, it is offered in the room but it is more expensive. Overall we had a dreamy honeymoon that we wouldn't change it for anything else. Thank you Sea Dance Resort. Room Tip: If you want WiFi then ask for room close to restaurant."

Anopura: "Comfort and luxury in compact"

Review by: Leo_arun_kumar | Source: Trip Advisor
"I was there at Anopura on 23rd March. I got down at Jaipur and took a road drive to Anopura and I was really wondering on where am I going.. After 2 hrs of drive unknown roads, without any signboards and no destination found in GPS, I was really hard.. But just as the name states, it's a part of secret resorts, it's locations is indeed a real secret. After all that long and wague journey, there awaited a lovely home away from home ""Anopura"" Excellent place for family and friends outing.. Excellent service, great ambience and good food.. Spotting few wildlife around the place is an added advantage. We spot few foxes.. I cannot finish my review without mentioning about ""Lathika"" they have.. A real smart, friendly and loving dog.. Lathika just took us for a morning trekk, without any staff assistance. Se even opens the door for us.. Humm.. A must stay place if you are traveling to Jaipur.."
