MesaStila: "The moon of paradise"
If you like to know about coffee plantation, to hear an indonesian music and to have a rest is that one of the best place. Five starts hospitality. The spa - including the turkish bath - was brillinat. The food is excellent.Villa Song Saigon: "Brilliant"
Stayed for two nights at the beginning of a two-week trip through Vietnam, and it couldn't have been a better start. The hotel and its location are spectacular. Nice airy room with a small balcony overlooking the river. Amazing staff, fantastic breakfasts and lovely dinners right by the riverside. The shuttle boat drops you off right downtown and picks you up again. Absolutely perfect!Discover Muang La | Visit Laos | Luxury & Boutique Hotel: "Beautiful, peaceful, luxurious, a class act"
"The title sums up how we felt about this magical place. The location in Muang La is perfect - far from the disney-land tourist circuit of Luang Prabang (and a beautiful but bendy 5-6 hour drive from there as well!), it's remote but therefore also perfectly situated for exploring the nearby rugged countryside with organised private trecks through the hills, visits to the various ethnic groups and their time-locked villages, followed by a dip in their own natural hot spring and a delicious 5 course meal every evening overlooking the river. The managers Raphael (Swiss) and Job (Dutch), are at the top of their game and do a magnificent job of making you feel like royalty from the moment you arrive until the moment they wave you goodbye on your onward journey. I advise booking at least 4 nights, a package which includes free beer and wine at dinner as well as a free massage and gives enough time to really settle down and experience it all. If you visit Northern Laos and have the budget (not cheap but looking back it feels like truly great value), this place is a must."Supanniga Luxury Bangkok River Cruises: "Great food and a great way to see the river"
This is definitely a very good alternative to the other cruises. It's quiet, relaxed, the food is great (and they were very kind with providing non-seafood options when asked in advance), and the glass of champagne was certainly welcome too!Satri House: "Great secluded property"
A wonderful relaxing spot in a beautiful lazy town. Great for an escape from the world especially for a long holiday weekend or even longer if you really plan to explore the region. The staff is amazingly attentive without being pushy.Villa Song Saigon: "A beautiful haven"
A treat at the end of our travels. Outstanding food. Lovely building. Helpful efficient friendly staff. Would highly recommend. Loved the complimentary boat service to Hoi Chi Minh city and the riverside locationRak Ko Jae Hahoe: "Best place to immerse in Hahoe culture and to see “Rope fireworks” up close"
This small very well equipped traditional guesthouse in the traditional village is next to the river where we saw the spectacular "Rope fireworks" for the first time in our life. This village can be reached by public bus from Andong or a 30 minute taxi ride. Andong is very well connected to all major cities by excellent non-stop buses. Mr Kim at RakKoJae Reservations helped us a lot with prompt responses during planning. All equipment including WiFi and bathroom fixtures worked perfectly. The attendant was a very helpful lady. Breakfast was great. A small restaurant next door serves sandwich and bear till late. This is in a traditional village where people live, work and attend religious ceremonies. Outside the village there are shops, restaurant, museum and bus stop. JW Marriott from Seoul suggested this great stop on our two week trip to South Korea. We have traveled to many more than one hundred countries. We were fortunate to get a room. This guesthouse has only four rooms. they fill in fast.Hotel Tugu Malang: "Great historical place!"
"We had a pleasure to stay at Tugu. This hotel is like a museum -- antique collections from through out Java with some twist of local chinese immigrants house in a very nice Dutch colonial era building(s). Do not miss the complimentary afternoon teatime and snacks. You will also enjoy Melati restaurant located next to the swimming pool serving great traditional and western dishes. I recommend the ZAMRUD room (a step up) — larger than king size bed, huge handmade round bathtub and so on. We wish we had more time to explore the hotel. Perhaps next time."Locavore: "Adding to the AMAZING reviews"
"I probably can’t add anything to the glowing reviews but Locavore is fantastic! Generous, friendly, incredible food. Yep, it’s super expensive for Bali but it’s world class and the chefs create magic with local ingredients, herbs and leaves that are a taste sensation. We made friends with our neighbours who, like us, were giddy with happiness at the deliciousness of it all. We could not have asked for a more interesting or unique meal that was pretty & abundant too. Would return in a heartbeat."Cuca: "Great Tapas Restaurant in Jimbaran"
"Awesome tapas restaurant in Jimbaran. We came here with a group of about 15 and did the tasting menu. We chose 9 dishes and they made sharing portions for all of us. The portions were perfect - everyone left full and almost all of the food was eaten. Standout dishes were the scallops, pork bun, and fried chicken. Overall, our whole group was happy with the meal which says something! The menu also had some items we didn’t see other places in Bali which was refreshing. The ambiance was pretty lively and the service was good. The pricing was also very reasonable, we paid around $100 a head including tip and we had a lot of nice alcohol. Great dinner - must do if in Jimbaran!"
