Locavore: "The food were bold, well executed, well thought of,"

Review by: n83edward | Source: Trip Advisor
"Initially I was just curious about this restaurant in Ubud that people and media were talking about, and decided to give it a try. I went there for lunch and tried their 7 dishes (which turned out to be almost 14 dishes in total!). The food were bold, well executed, well thought of, and full of passion and love. It is as if they are not being humble at all, they are making a statement, what coming out from the kitchen is not just usual dishes we eat every day, it is extraordinary. I saw all chefs are busy in the kitchen, and they are quite mobile as they make time to go to our table and explain about each and every dish. I believe this is something we don’t see often in similar restaurant in Bali, maybe in Singapore or Hong Kong, but Bali? I dont think so. Service team looks impeccable, they dress up casual yet very neat and they are very professional too. When it comes to the price, a restaurant this caliber could have charged arms and legs, but this one surprisingly worth the whole experience (it was 850k++/pax ) Having had a great, memorable and satisfying lunch in Locavore, Ubud, it has set for me a high standard of a posh lunch should be, and by far the best lunch I ever had in such a long time. So, if you plan to try them, make a booking at least 3 weeks in advance, if you are lucky."

David’s Kitchen: "Great food and ambiance"

Review by: Nat G | Source: Trip Advisor
My husband and I visited David's Kitchen a few days ago with our 9 month old son and we were extremely surprised by the great food and beautifully designed restaurant. Service was impeccable and the staff was very kind towards our baby. We also thought the price was very reasonable considering the great quality of the food. The location was also great and the venue was beautiful. We couldn't recommend it enough.

Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Silent and luxurious"

Review by: arun8805 | Source: Trip Advisor
"Amazing property.. Lush green and by the beach, endless pool, good spa, luxurious cottages, extra large size rooms, well equipped baths, hammocks beside each cottage, good food and super courteous staff.. Neeleshwar hermitage was as good as it looks in the images.. Since restaurant is only for guests and not open to the public, There are limited food options, but you can pre order what ever you like, and they will prepare it for u.. Food is a Lil expensive, so you can take a package inclusive of all 3 meals! Just 8 kms from the railway station, A cab will charge you rs. 1000 for drop from the station to the resort (which is expensive, but cheaper compared to the rs. 1800 this resort charges) We stayed here overnight.. And thoroughly enjoyed the stay.. Show less"

NEELESHWAR: "Heavenly peace!"

Review by: David L | Source: tripadvisor.com
"Everything about the Hermitage was wonderful - the room, the bed, the pillows, the care taken to make sure everything was perfect, the food, the off site activities offered ( alt bought these were expensive) Forewarned, we had pre- ordered full board to avoid a large bill at the end so that worked out well. Highlight was a trip to the jungle to see a Theyam ceremony. Unforgettable! The sea was like a warm bath, the food and company and the pool were all excellent. One recommendation though - mosquito burners in the spa reception area. Can't wait to return - think about it every day! "

Pindaya Farm House: "Fantastic"

Review by: Alon-WalkInnIsrael | Source: Trip Advisor
It was our last day in Myanmar just before flying to Yangoon and back home. It was exactly the place we were looking for after visiting and staying at different hotels around Myanmar. The location and the big hut are magical, look and feel as if inside a legend. The warm hospitality and the great food made us feel at home. unfortunately we stayed there 1 night only. Could stay there for a week.

Cuisine Wat Damnak: "5 star gourmet experience"

Review by: Richard W | Source: Trip Advisor
"This restaurant is listed as one of the top 50 Restaurants in Asia, and deservedly so. There are 2 menus per night available in 5 or 6 course variants. I went twice, on my first night in Siem Reap, and then again on my last night in Siem Reap. 6 courses each time and I would not hesitate to go back if I am in Siem Reap again. The menu is updated every 2 weeks. Delicious food but the surprise is the price. 28USD for 6 courses, and you do not leave hungry. The chef greets you at the end of your meal; a lovely touch."

Cuisine Wat Damnak: "A little overrated"

Review by: Teresa M | Source: Trip Advisor
The chef was lovely. The menu is limited--there are only two pre-fix menus and you must choose either or leave, I guess. Haha, It was good but maybe a little too pricey for the small portions.

4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Amazing and unique"

Review by: Saroj A | Source: Trip Advisor
This is one of the best places we have stayed at. The Floating tents are so unique, in a very tranquil and beautiful location. Everything about it was different. We felt very special, as the service was very personal and nothing was too much trouble. The food and all amenities were very good. The 'swimming pool' is the river, which was brilliant as it was clean and calm with access from each tent. I just wished we had stayed longer. Thoroughly recommend this.

Jing’s Residence: "Fantastic Hotel! Fantastic Service!"

Review by: JauntyFox | Source: Trip Advisor
"We decided to visit Pingyao based on Lonely Planet recommendations (Pingyao is famous as a walled city and well-known for its local goods). So glad we did! This hotel was the best during our China/HK holiday. It is an oasis in an otherwise dusty and remote location. The room and facilities is top notch although don't expect to watch TV as there is none except in the guest lounge. You won't miss it though as the hotel offers spa treatments; noodle making and paper cutting classes. We were able to relax in the guest lounge with complimentary afternoon tea. All tea and delicacies (we had eight bean treasure one day and a type of porridge the next) are locally produced and were delicious. The restaurant is great for both breakfast and dinner with a wide selection available. Loved the scrambled eggs Chinese style on a bed of steamed rice for breakfast. Personal service and attention from all the staff is second to none but especially from the resident manager, Imam, who is outstanding. He was always available to assist or ensure our needs were being met and popped up magically as we would pass through the lobby area. On our final morning of our stay he took us on a personal tour of a ruined courtyard giving us a tremendous insight into how the locals lived many years ago as well as escorting us to a local shoe manufacturer. We would definitely stay here again and the hotel and friendliness make this place worth the detour to Pingyao itself! "

MesaStila: "A Piece of Heave"

Review by: JLR1994 | Source: tripadvisor.com
"I have been here several times, mainly because I just LOVE the souvenir store they have - I have never left there without buying something. Items they sell seem to be handpicked wisely. I've also gone there just to take breathtaking photos. I've gone there just for a drink of coffee; I've gone there for meals. But recently my husband and I finally decided to overnight there. One night was not enough. Now planning at least a 2 night stay there next month. The coffee plantation tour is a must! "
