Villa Song: "A fabulous escape from the city"
We moved to Saigon about three months ago and like to treat ourselves to a weekend in a hotel now and again. Staying in Villa Song felt like a real holiday and an escape from the city. We loved the peace and relaxation. The customer service and staff were excellent. The room was beautiful and we loved the pool area. Both mornings we were threre it was very quiet, despite the hotel being at full capacity. We ate at the restaurant the first night and enjoyed the food very much and the breakfast was great. The free boat back to the city was fun and a fantastic way to see the city from a different viewpoint, although I was loathed to get off the boat and head home! "I am truely amazed by the hotel's interior, the service, and the food. If you want to feel what is like to live in a Dutch colonial era of Javanese and Chinese Peranakan culture, then Hotel Tugu is the right place to go. The room is very unique, the service is excellent, you can't ask more from this hotel. The best thing is that the breakfast they serve is literally an ""All you can eat Ala-carte"". You can order anything from their ala-carte menu, literally until your stomach is damn full. We went here just after opening - and without a reservation - on a weekday for lunch. We were seated right away. The tasting menu was delicious and the cocktails great. Dining at Mume is like an Art performance, where the art and the focus is in the plate. All around the plate, from the decor to the waiters and the Chef himself coming to serve, everything is done to make the experience as friendly and comfortable as possible. "I and my partner spent five days at Khwan Beach Resort and our experience was nothing but fantastic. This is a small resort run by competent, kind and diligent people (Gaelle, Nittaya, Sai and Margot) who will make everything to fulfil yur wishes. Located literally at a two minute walk away from Mae Nam beach, it is a wonderful place to enjoy a relaxed holidays, surrounded by nature, nice villas each with its own private swimming pool, and (walking distance) close to restaurants, convenient stores, fresh fruit markets, etc. I will definitely return to this place. Mind you however that the resort has just initiated construction works for a restaurant which may cause some inconvenience during the day. Out of the seven properties we sampled in our eight nights in Cambodia, this was one of the best! And I really wish we could've stayed longer. We rented a junior villa for the night and was extremely pleased with our choice because the room was beautiful and spacious and the washroom came with an outdoor shower and bath. [See pictures] The resort has lush lawns and its own strip of beach with a pier - overall an extremely picturesque property. So much so that we ended up spending most of the day chilling at the property in stead of exploring Kep. Service at the restaurant and the bar is good - food is pretty good but the cocktails are average. Overall, a very comfortable stay and would definitely visit the property again if I am going back to Cambodia.Mie Cafe: "Best Fusion Khmer Cuisine"
Highly recommended for those who wish to try fusion Khmer cuisine presented in the most honest-to-goodness way. Friendly service staff and worth to pay a visit to experience this distinctively unique taste. We will be back again!
