Pindaya Farm House: "Just Wonderful!"
"We completely endorse all previous comments. Having driven thro a patchwork of colourful fields in rolling hills, we were warmly welcomed. You can hear the silence here. Very comfortable beds, excellent bedding (warm too luckily, it hit freezing at night!) and high class shower and bathroom fittings. Midday saw us sitting on our balcony in the sunshine drinking in the view. The owners can arrange all sorts of trips and treks, but don't miss the weaver in the village up the road. Our only small criticism, which didn't bother us too much, or detract from our enjoyment, is that the sound insulation between us and our neighbour was not very good. It certainly helped us get to know, and make friends with them quickly! We hope it improved trans Atlantic relations"Bali Jiwa Villa: "Unforgettable"
We stayed here in May 2014 as a part of our honeymoon. We enjoyed every second. The location is fantastic. We loved the atmosphere and wouldn't change a thing in this place. Time passes and we really miss Bali..Really hope to come back someday!SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "Friday dinner"
A really exceptional experience - divine location attentive staff and a warm welcome from the proprietors. Each dish was exquisite and was worth the premium prices charged. Atmosphere was also splendid and once the rains end I can imagine the al fresco experience is the best in Yangon as it has a wonderful location on the bank of Inya LakeMie Cafe: "Fantastic Khmer fusion!"
Don't be fooled by the name, it isn't really a café but a nice restaurant that serves really good Khmer fusion cuisine. Having been to a similar restaurant the night before for dinner, I was extremely surprised that the food here was much better. The fish risotto was excellent and I have to say, the ONLY risotto I've had that was of similar standard was in Gruyeres, Switzerland. I also enjoyed the Khmer curry and the frozen lime pie. Service was also very good. Will definitely be back if I return to Siem Reap!Villa Song Saigon: "very satisfied customer"
This is a great place to stay if you like being treated like royalty. The staff is all fabulous, the room was very comfortable, and the food and drinks were exceptional. The chef came out to greet us personally and discuss meal options. Convenient boat shuttle to downtown Ho Chi Minh City.Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Wonderful stay at Cheong Fatt Tze / Blue Mansion"
"Over the recent Easter long weekend, we decided to take a break in Penang. We picked the Blue Mansion, indigo blue coloured heritage hotel with only 18 rooms after learning about its history and seen some pictures. From the outside, the heritage hotel is hidden behind a high wall so only the roof and part of the building were visible from outside. The hotel also conducts a tour of the hotel, sharing the history as well as the challenging task of restoring the hotel when it was bought over following the death of the last son of the original owner. Hotel guests gets to join the tour for free. We were very fortunate to join the tour on the day that Loh-Lim Lin Lee, current owner of the hotel, was leading the tour. She only does it on Friday at 11am and 2pm. She was a wonderful story teller, sharing about the unique architecture, origins of the materials used in the construction such as colourful history. Beautifully restored with rooms that are a mixed of modern and traditional. We even have a jacuzzi in our bathroom! Highly recommend for a different experience from conventional hotel stay. Stayed March 2017, traveled with friends"Maison Polanka: "Secret Hotel Bliss"
"Don't pass up the opportunity to stay at this blissful, beautiful hotel. The rooms are fantastic, the grounds, including a fantastic pool, are beautiful and the attention to detail couldn't have been better. There are only 4 rooms plus a separate house - we stayed in the lovely yellow room. They will arrange tours to Angkor Wat though a friend recommended Dara Rann who we booked on our own (and highly recommend). The entire staff was caring and attentive and they even provided a fabulous breakfast in an insulated bag for us to take with us to see the sunrise at Angkor Wat (we were picked up at 445am). They even surprised us one evening with a birthday cake and card signed by the entire staff- thoughtful personal service indeed! You really feel as though you are in a secret hidden haven. What a special place!"Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "BACK IN SEVENTH HEAVEN"
"No other way to describe Tiger Mountain Lodge. Spectacular setting. I said I would be back and yes, a very long way for a short cut but worth all the extra miles for my second visit. And my room back. Just like coming home. Great welcome. Nowhere else will ever be able to come close to the pampering given to all from morning wake up coffee right through the day. Pre dinner drinks and nibbles get the taste buds going. Also a good time for a chat.with Dol Raj and Jhalak. Wonderful imaginative food. Lalu and his team should start cookery lessons. My attempt at masala rumble tumble went straight in the bin! Hari has infinite patience and steady hands when out walking with non trekkers. Who needs mountains to climb when TMPL is so close and comfortable? Yes Saga clients seriously miss out. Such a pity as a two night stay on main tour plus three night extension would be well worth it. Marcus and team. Very many thanks for yet another fantastic stay. I will be back, even if under my own steam. "tugu bali: "Excellent service and homely feel"
"Absolutely fantastic service. I have never experienced more genuine and attentive service from our arrival to departure. Simply flawless. Love the maze like garden with canals and fishes. Rooms are good a bit run down, but all is made up by the fantastic staff! Well worth a visit!! World class service in a stunning surrounding. "Reverie Siam Pai: "Lovely and different hotel"
Pai was our second city stop in our Thailand trip. We decided to stay at the Reverie Siam as it is close to the main streets of Pai but caters to guests outside of the backpacking crowd. It is definitely like stepping back in time with the type of decor and being slightly secluded with wonderful views of the mountains and river. We stayed in a private villa which offered its own garden view. The bedroom itself is air conditioned but the bathroom is not. We stayed at the end of May/beginning of June and really didn't find the no ac a problem - although I never tried to blow dry my hair for those who would want to do this. The hotel included breakfast every morning from an a la carte menu and we decided to have drinks there every evening. The bar offers lots of fun cocktails, infused gins, and one of the better wine lists we saw while in Thailand. The shuttle runs frequently to the main streets of Pai in the evening, and is only a short 3-4 minute ride. We swam in both pools and enjoyed them both and overall felt very relaxed during our time in Pai.
