Tugu Malang: "A real jewel"

With a collection of Javanese and Chinese art to make a museum jealous and good rooms, pool, and food - what more could you want. Staff friendly and helpful. The afternoon tea with delicious and unusual Javanese sweet dishes was delicious. Would gladly stay again

arumdalu: "a hidden gem filled with surprises!"

We never expect to find such a refine place at the very southern tip of Belitung island. A very creative and delicate cuisine, sustainable practices to save energy or natural fogging, an attentive service, large villa with private pool, 800m of white sand beach and beautiful landscape. Only recommend to people who appreciate quiet beauty!!!

The Cabochon Hotel: "Romantic Colonial Hide-Away in the heart of Bangkok"

"Extremely jet-lagged my husband and I stepped out of our 20 hour flight from Los Angeles, and were met at the airport by the hotel's private driver. A 25 minute drive later, we were quickly checked into the lovely Cabochon. Immediately I felt better, surrounded by the cool marble, fragrant lush trees, and fascinating lobby decor of this renovated colonial mansion tucked down a small alley. We arrived rather early for check in, but they set us up with towels, exotic passion fruit cocktails and lounge chairs beside the roof-top pool and after a dip-- was immediately refreshed. Our room was simple, quiet, clean and romantic with high ceilings, and a columned balcony. Other than a few modern amenities (like powerful air conditioner, fast wifi, in room safe, and a TV we didn't use) it was like stepping into the past. The breakfast was delicious and we even had lunch there in between excursions. The proximity to the SkyTrain subway was very convenient and the fastest way to get around town, but the hotel is happy to call a taxi for you-- and give directions. As with everywhere in Thailand, the staff are extremely helpful, friendly and polite. You will be happy to tip for service. There are many extrodinary restaurants near by including ""Bo.Lam"" and ""Soul Food."" We throughly enjoyed our visit to Bangkok and it started with the Cabochon. Tip for all of South East Asia: Most people in the service industry speak english fairly well, but get a ""Directions Card"" from the hotel front desk and put it in your pocket for later-- it will have the hotel name/address written in Thai (not useless english) and is very valuable to get a taxi ride home at the end of your night out. Tugu Lombok: "Outstanding and unique!"

We recently enjoyed a three day stay in a Bhagavat Gita suite (107) filled with antiques, artwork and the biggest most comfortable bed we have ever slept in! The service was impeccable and the food wonderful. Make sure you have a beach dinner one night - just magic. The outdoor shower is also amazing! I would highly recommend a stay here and we certainly hope to go back.

Rachamankha: "Amazing small boutique hitel"

"We stayed at the Rachamankha for 4 nights in August. There are several huge positives about the hotel. First and foremost it's in the middle of the city but in a residential neighborhood and on a small alley surrounded by walls. As such it is a quiet oasis where you forget you're in a large town at all. The staff is amazing, helpful, and genuine and willing to whatever to make your stay wonderful. It's a small intimate hotel with very few rooms and is very quiet. We mostly saw couples. The entire hotel is laid out in a very symmetric, peaceful, zen-like way and was actually designed by a famous architect who has his office off the hotel library. The decor is very interesting, with regional historic artifacts in the outdoor hallways and courtyards. The included breakfast at the restaurant was outstanding and there was a good set of menu options. The one dinner we had was excellent as well, though somewhat pricy. The only downside was that the wifi was weak, slow, and frequently failed requiring another login. AC is great and you can make the room as cool as you want. In summary: Pros: outstanding boutique hotel in an excellent location; great value Con: weak wifi"

The Village House: "Very relaxing"

We stayed in this hotel for two nights after our interesting visit to the Iban people in the jungle. We really could relax in this hotel as it is such a quite place. The hotel has a nice small pool and some little areas around the pool to sit. The rooms are very nice and quite big. Unfortunately there is only wifi at the public areas of the hotel. The hotel offers diners, you really have to taste the 8-course menu "Taste of Borneo" as it was very delicious.

Tugu Lombok: "Best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Genuinely"

"Where do I start...Hotel Tugu Lombok is quite simply the best hotel I've ever stayed in. I have travelled a fair amount, both for business and holidays, and I have never stayed anywhere quite as special as Hotel Tugu. In the first night of our stay we actually got engaged here, however engagement aside, I adored this place. The staff are wonderful, every single person. Truly lovely, warm and kind people. I can't say enough good things about them! The setting is stunning with a private beach and clear ocean. The two swimming pools are gorgeous and the restaurants with their views are so quiet and peaceful. Quite simply this hotel is an idyllic oasis of calm where you can truly switch off and relax. The grounds are beautiful and so well cared for with hammocks, seating areas, day beds, etc. We stayed in villa 205 which was gorgeous - a giant four poster bed which was the most beautiful and biggest bed I've ever slept in. The outdoor bathroom was stunning and huge, with a massive tub and the coolest overhead rain shower you'll ever see! Breakfast is delicious and served until late, with gorgeous smoothie bowls - about 10 to choose from. Lots of egg dishes, pancakes, waffles, fruit, juices etc! Every afternoon between 4 and 6pm there is afternoon tea in the gardens which is a wonderful touch with homemade cakes, that change every day. We loved everything we ate for dinner, and there is a new page of specials every evening. You can dine on the beach in amongst lots of candles and it feels so private and special. There are paddle boards, snorkels and kayaks for your use - they've thought of everything! One evening we took bikes and rode to a different beach to watch the sunset. It felt like one of the most special moments ever and was quite simply breathtaking. The locals are lovely and showed us the way so there was never a chance we had could get lost. On our final night while we were at dinner and the staff created what can only be described as animal farm made of towels in our bedroom. It was ridiculously good!!!!! They'd also lined the whole path to our villa with flower petals and candles! To sum up we didn't leave the hotel apart from to cycle to sunset. We stayed 4 nights and I did not want to leave. If I could give this hotel 10 stars I would. It was the most luxurious, relaxed and incredible hotel. Cannot recommend enough."

Rachamankha: "Exceptional hotel with a great restaurant"

We have stayed at the hotel for a few nights while visiting Chiang Mai. Location is great and within walking distance (15min) to many attractions that the city has to offer. Room was beautifully decorated and had all the amenities you needed except they don't give you conditioner so bring your own. I would highly recommend eating at the restaurant, we had snacks and dinner and the food and service were great. Would definitely stay again.

Supanniga Eating Room: "Great Thai food, not great street food but delicious nonetheless"

We stop by for dinner every year here and are never disappointed. It’s a nice looking restaurant lively and well designed. Staff is courteous friendly and takes care of the customers. Food is delicious, clean (no msg), served quickly. Prices are ok, plates are small so order a lot. We ordered a crab prik thai dish ( most expensive item on the menu (600 baht)) and it was fantastic. See you next year

Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Wonderful meal!"

Very delicious food - loved all three courses. We made a request to swap a menu item from the other course, and they were very accommodating!
