Rachamankha: "Amazing small boutique hitel"
"We stayed at the Rachamankha for 4 nights in August. There are several huge positives about the hotel. First and foremost it's in the middle of the city but in a residential neighborhood and on a small alley surrounded by walls. As such it is a quiet oasis where you forget you're in a large town at all. The staff is amazing, helpful, and genuine and willing to whatever to make your stay wonderful. It's a small intimate hotel with very few rooms and is very quiet. We mostly saw couples. The entire hotel is laid out in a very symmetric, peaceful, zen-like way and was actually designed by a famous architect who has his office off the hotel library. The decor is very interesting, with regional historic artifacts in the outdoor hallways and courtyards. The included breakfast at the restaurant was outstanding and there was a good set of menu options. The one dinner we had was excellent as well, though somewhat pricy. The only downside was that the wifi was weak, slow, and frequently failed requiring another login. AC is great and you can make the room as cool as you want. In summary: Pros: outstanding boutique hotel in an excellent location; great value Con: weak wifi"Reverie Siam: "A slice of paradise"
"In 2014 we visited Reverie Siam just after they opened for one glass of wine ... and promised ourselves we'd come back to stay one day. So this holiday, we stayed there for just one night as a special treat on our holiday and it was even more wonderful than we thought it would be! The room (we were upgraded from a standard room to a villa at no extra cost) was stunning. The bathtub is literally bigger than our entire bathroom at home! The service was exceptional ... especially considering our grubby backpacker aesthetic. If you're looking for a treat, a retreat into another world - I recommend a stay here!"Tugu Bali: "Funky and Gorgeous and Romantic"
"This is a very colorful, unique hotel with a very funky Japanese restaurant that feels like a Shanghai opium den. The rooms are beautiful and romantic. Lots of antiques everywhere, great photography and generally all around wonderful service. Right across the street from a great, bright and spacious restaurant called Old Man to have lunch at with a young and gorgeous surfer crowd. The lobby is huge and dramatic, they have dance performances on certain nights that are beautiful and entirely non- cheesy. Can't recommend enough. You feel like you are in a movie. Jenny, the manager, is a delight and super helpful. We had friends come and visit from an hour away and they said it was worth the trip just to see the hotel. Stayed March 2017, traveled with friends"Tugu Malang: "The most wonderful hotel in Indonesia"
We have stayed in Malang city for a week or two almost every year for 44 years & for the past 22 years we have stayed at Tugu Malang. Not only is Tugu Malang the best hotel in Malang but we maintain that it is the best hotel in Indonesia. The atmosphere, the design, the décor, Pak Anhar's wonderful collection of antiques and artifacts displayed about the hotel, the swimming pool, the bridge over the koi pond with the most beautiful koi fish I have ever seen - the experience never ends. The food at the popular & wonderful Melati Restaurant never fails to satisfy. Fabulous menu, always excellent food and the largest range of Nasi Gorengs in Indonesia. Never miss Nasi Goreng Tugu & Nasi Goreng Bang Samin - my mouth is watering at the memory. We always bring friends & guests to eat at the Melati Restaurant and it appears that many of the travellers who stay at other hotels in Malang also prefer to dine there. The best spa and massage facility is without a doubt at Tugu Malang. Most of all, the wonderful, friendly staff are fantastic. Nothing is too much trouble. We love being spoilt and pampered at Tugu Malang and would never consider staying anywhere else in Malang. See you again next year.Manda De Laos: "So nice"
Not far from night market. Food is really delicious and atmosphere is so great. Staffs can speak English, and little expensive.Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Best meal in Siem Reap!"
"After 5 trips to Siem Reap, I finally found a great restaurant! Wat Damnak is absolutely a gem of a place, The ambience, food, and service are all outstanding. The food, however, is what sets this place apart. There's no point making recommendations since the menu changes every week, but suffice to say that every dish on the tasting menu we tried was a treat. The grilled langoustine was exceptionally good, and dessert (mango cashew nut crumble, green mango jelly, and vanilla cream) was an absolute delight. I could have easily eaten 3 more of those. The drinks menu is also extensive, and very good value. My companion had an excellent cocktail, while I tried a local craft beer. I would recommend going for the 6 course option, it's definitely worth it. At USD 31 for the 6 course menu (USD 27 for 5 courses), it's a steal and worth much, much more. This is easily the best restaurant in Siem Reap."Reverie Siam Pai: "Faultless"
"My partner and I stayed at this establishment for 4 nights in October and I am so happy that we chose to come here. This was the end of trip through Vietnam and Cambodia and we both agree that this hotel was one of our highlights. We initially chose the hotel as it is slightly out of Pai which suited as it meant we could dip in and out of the town when we wanted. We had a mountain view room which was gorgeous. The room is decorated in such a way that you feel comfortable straight away and we loved the eccentric little pieces dotted around and attention to detail. The shower was amazing! The actual ground were also amazing and so lovely to walk round. The hidden pavilion is lovely in the daytime to sit by the river, and lit up by fairy lights in the evening it is a beautiful and romantic retreat. But the real thanks must go to the staff. The girls that served our meals were so polite as friendly, they really would go out of their way to help you. The boys that drove the shuttle into town always had a smile on their faces. And without a doubt a huge thank you to the cocktail mixologist boys who made out stay. Their signature cocktails are absolutely amazing and the effort they put into them is second to none. They deserve an award for their skills! Thank you Reverie for a truly memorable stay. And if you are considering whether to stay here all I can say is just book it, you won't regret it."Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Amazing Hotel"
Cheong Fatt Tze - Blue Mansion is an amazing place to stay. The mansion is beautiful, and very well restored. It is fantastic to stay in such an historic building; you feel back in time. The breakfast is ok, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I loved it.Rachamankha: "a place of tranquility and luxury.."
this place is really beautiful.. classy, original, oriental, luxurious, art , architecture, procelains, century old chests ..what more.. this maybe the only hotel we stayed in Chiangmai but im sure and no doubt that this is one of the best in Chiang Mail.. the ambience are very tranquil the staffs are very friendly, free wifi, free insect repellent spray and walking distant to the old city.Chakrabongse Villas: "Sublime oasis"
While expensive by any town's standard this calm in the storm of sensations that is Bankok is worth it. Ms Atom and the staff are so welcoming we felt like family (in a good way), maybe even royalty. The food, both breakfast and a diner, are first rate. And you can eat while you watch the constant parade of boats on the river, most entertaining. The flower market just down the street is fascinating, especially at night. Must see sights abound in the neighborhood and the water bus-boat stops are just around the corner to take you up or down river. Skip the in room drinks and grab your refreshments from any of several shops (even 7 Eleven) along the street. Lounge by the pool or sit on one of the the riverside decks. The sunset can be fabulous.Travel Asia with Secret Retreats
