Muang La Resort: "An amazing experience"
A charming hotel, beautiful setting and very attentive service. The rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished. The hotel staff offered us not just terrific hospitality but also a glimpse into the local life. We spent three unforgettable nights in the hotel and will certainly return , one day, not just for the warmth of the staff but also for the excellent dishes prepared by the chef Mme Phat and her assistants.Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Vénérable maison"
"My husband and I came to flower island as part of our honeymoon. This is an absolute MUST! It is honestly a once in a life time experience. I have been fortunate enough to travel a lot, especially through Asia, including Malaysia, Cambodia, Thailand and the Phillippines. I have also stayed in places like Bora Bora. flower island still amazed me and took my breath away. You are on your own secluded island with only a hand full of guests. You stay in a tree house like accommodation- my husband and I felt like Tarzan andJane! You are surrounded by beauty and it is the most relaxing experience. The staff on the island are so friendly. It is very relaxed, and some people may like that 5 star 'being doted on hand and foot' style of service, but this place is so easy going and care free. The service is genuine and kind. Please remember, they lead an island life style, and it is relaxed. There is a bar and a beautiful, earthy restaurant where all your meals are catered for. Nice home cooked meals. I would recommend you get to the dining area as soon as the meal time begins to avoid the food cooling, as it's a buffet style. Also, as my husband and I swam and kayaked all day, we were a little hungry between meals, so we would recommend you bring some of your own snacks. Also, as it's a place that respects and is in touch with nature, expect some small visitors (like bugs etc) to your room, so maybe bring bug spray to deter mosquitos, and I would recommend a torch. I would also recommend a room with air conditioning as it can get a little steamy. We had this style room and it was comfortable. I would also highly recommend the pearl farm tour. Whilst the tour was interesting, the place where they take you to snorkel is amazing and essentially untouched as the area is highly protected. Most of the coral we saw on previously in our el Nido island hopping tours was dead, but this snorkel spot is just breath taking. The best I have ever seen! On the island as well there is a light house, which you can stay in for no extra charge- a great experience for those who are a Little more adventurous! You can walk to the top of the light house and are presented with a 360 degree view! Amazing. Such a wonderful place that offers priceless views and the most relaxing time away. It is worth the slightly expensive transfers in (van and boat ride) but the speed boat ride itself is exciting- we felt like James Bond on our way in! Very classy and a great entrance! One of my favorites spots I have been to so far in all my travels. Such a beauty and one of a kind. Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"Sukoon Houseboat: "Best houseboat: 5 star category as a houseboat.."
We stayed there for one night... but that one night was the best night for us in Kashmir... Room, bathroom, hotel staffs, foods all were up to the mark... we really had a great time...probably best houseboat in dal lake... houseboat's Shikara is also a big & beautiful one...must recommend for high budget tourists....Muang La Lodge: "A hidden paradise"
Wow. We are overwhelmed. A five star luxury hotel with highest quality of food and an outstanding service comparable with international top hotels. A natural and ecological paradise as a secret advice. Highly recommended and the most beautiful environment we ever enjoyed. Dreams come true!4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Recommended place for escapade! Relaxation to the max!!!!"
Staff were very accommodating. Ideal place for relaxation, honeymoon...a different kind of experience...food was great too. Nice interior of rooms. You can see the enchanted place from your room. So romantic. Overall rating, superb!!!Maison Polanka: "Charming and eclectic with a wonderful staff"
Wonderful, charming tiny little hotel in a perfect location between the ruins and the main town. We could not have imagined a more perfect place to stay during our visit to Cambodia. The rooms are more like staying in someone's (very nicely decorated) house than being in a commercial hotel, and the food and service were excellent. On the last night of our stay our room had a minor problem with the air conditioning, and the hotel moved us to a nicer room without us even asking so that the problem would be cleanly resolved when we returned from dinner. There are bikes available to ride, you can walk from the hotel to an e-bike rental place, and they also provided free transport to nearby restaurants when possible or you could pay $2 for a Tuk tuk. Highly recommended.Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "Amazing Experience"
"This hotel gives the best experience during our April 2017 Kalaw-Inlay vacation. We ( husband and daughter ) stayed here for only 1 night and my 11 years old daughter request me to plan a 3 days stay next time :) Staff are very friendly and professional , especially on our arrival , Thant Zin welcome us with the warm and genuine smile and touring around hotel. Throughout the stay we experienced the hospitality of all. The bungalows are spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. We had dinner & breakfast there, we were so content with the oven fresh breads and croissant and the quality of the food. All in all , we were so happy and surely will come back again with all family members. My love of nature is completed by the surroundings , mini organic farms, aquarium , authentic Burmese cat village, birds chipping around the hotel . Thanks for your wonderful service & experience , Hotel Heritage ! Stayed April 2017"The Village House: "Awesome hidden getaway"
"Stepping onto the compound (after trying to find the place), you just know privacy is what you'll be getting. Quickly greeted by the person manning the front counter, you know you're in good hands. At least I did. I arrived later than my partner did but the fact that this frontdesk person knew who I was showed a level of care in who the guests are. It's amazing despite having strict rules, it's really for the best benefit for everyone including ourselves. The place is fancy in its simplicity and rest assured the absence of cell service isn't a disservice but exactly what every person that comes down here needs! It is a getaway... And a great one. We didn't plan for this trip and just settled for beds in the dorm. Honestly I've stayed at backpackers and when you think dorm some or many might cringe.. But if more dorms were like these, I'm definitely going to stay in dorms more! The facilities are amazing. I mean, yes 6 beds (3 bunk beds) in the room but it's there for sleep which is fine and the bathroom attached to it is the best with running hot water so it's definitely all good! The absence of a TV is expected of a dorm room but seriously there wasn't a need for a TV (that's what the TV room is for at the main building... And there are books too!!) Now this place isn't for kids and it's good they made it strict with no kids under the age of 12 (or so I'm told) and that makes sense because the whole point of the trip is to relax and chill and laze and be free from the hustle and bustle of life. And that's what you'd do. I spent most of my time on the lawn chair just looking at the pool. Occasionally going in the pool being a hippo or whatever water mammal that just lazes in the water. Besides just looking at the pool you'd definitely pick up any reading material (I opted for comics) and just remain on your back. Relaxed. Did I mention you'll just be relaxing and not be doing nothing much? Coz it's just that freaking good. Service was actually the best as the people there would check to see if you need anything. The kitchen closes early at 8 pm so by 5 pm the dinner order has to be made which is cool because they do tell you that so no point to whine about it. Food was amazing and I was overwhelmed by the portion of pasta I got. I mean I'm a pasta monster and can really down it but this one I wasn't able to finish. It's cool coz it's creamy pasta and no one can really down a whole lot of that when I think about it.. The bar is open till 11pm so that's cool. Reasonably priced food as it shows in the quality and prep. Oh and breakfast was included in the room cost which being complimentary, they offer basic breakfast choices of either English breakfast or pancakes. Cereal is there too and that's all you can eat. I think. All in all, place is sweet and definitely going to be a regular thing. Possibly. Likely . Kudos to the people who made it work so well!! Highly recommended for those needing a break. Room Tip: If you're on a budget, get the dorm room. Dorm room (Jala) opposite the dining area is better th... We stayed in the Sanctuary Suite and it was fabulous. The service was great and even if their English wasn't too good, they made up for it with their effort. Nothing was too small or big for them to make happen. The food was mostly good (some of the dinner items weren't my favorite), but you will meet their chef Kevin who is SO wonderful and an absolute gem of a human being. The pool was beautiful and a nice way to cool off in the hot Ho Chi Minh heat! They have a gym that is very small, but next door to the hotel is another hotel with a much better equipped gym (cardio and some weight machines as well as a separate free weights section). Overall, I would highly recommend this place to someone looking for a wonderful stay in Ho Chi Minh City.Travel Asia with Secret Retreats
