Tugu Malang: "Always feels welcome"

Review by: Wayne C | Source: Trip Advisor
This historic hotel is a museum as much a hotel. I have been staying here for around 15 years and the service never falters it is perfect. From the moment you enter reception you are treated like an individual. The staff go out of their way to remember your name and always refer to you by name. The dining at the restaurant is fabulous. The whole experience is one that you must feel for yourself. It is unique in Asia. Recommended to anyone

SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "Excellent, an example for culinary experiences"

Review by: Urs A | Source: Trip Advisor
"This is my second visit to the Seeds. The garden enchants me again and again, especially the sunset at the lake is simply a feast for the eyes. Culinary, Felix cooks at a high Level. His well-balanced dishes are professionally served by proud and motivated staff. Accompanied by the evening we were by the charming Lucia. Her courteous and friendly manner as well as her hosting abilities fulfilled every wish. All these people are united as a strong team, creating an atmosphere that invites you to linger and enjoy. Lucia and Felix are great examples for staff management in the hospitality industry. This is immediately noticeable as a guest. It will definitely not have been my last visit to the Seeds. Kind regards Urs Auchter Working for development aid as Swiss Master Chef in Yangon."

Samanea Beach Resort: "Excellent resort"

Review by: Grete K | Source: Trip Advisor
"he resort is situated at the sea shore two km from the crab market in Kep. The villas are great, with lots of space and a very beautiful bathroom. The garden is beautiful. The swimming pool is excellent, having a great view to the ocean. Service is outstanding. They offer a good selection of French wine in the bar. This is by far the best resort we have tried in S.E. Asia- and it outcompetes 5 star hotels."

Maison Polanka: "A haven and a retreat"

Review by: Springhil | Source: Trip Advisor
Stepping back rough the private gates into this beautiful estate with its garden, pool and delightful traditional house and rooms, was a perfect balance for the busy town and temple trips. The team lead by Kathy and Francis were all superb and nothing was too much trouble. We took a package that included guide and transport. We used the massage facilities also. Cold towels on hand as we returned from our trips out, glasses of iced water by the pool was all part of the welcome. just 5 rooms in total meant that it was like a private villa. We stayed in the Green Room in the main house which has a large terrace with seating and fans and is the nicest room being the original sitting room of the house before it was a hotel.

Sukoon Houseboat: "Wonderful stay"

Review by: llewellynroger | Source: tripadvisor.com
"We had 4 nights on this beautiful houseboat and it was everything we had hoped for. Its position is on a quieter part of the lake with amazing views. The staff are charming and attentive, the rooms are well appointed and comfortable with large bathrooms. The food is good, vegetarians are catered for. The large sun deck has comfortable chairs to enjoy the view, and we also had breakfast and lunch there. Free wifi in the public areas. Our stay was over far too soon, wish we could have stayed longer!"

4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Glamping with a Conscience"

Review by: Daisy V | Source: Trip Advisor
I love travelling and always chose to camp, and as it's in my bucket list, I went to luxury style of camping. And man,i was shocked!
This lodge is more than just camping! They are so enganged with the preservation of the flora & fauna in this rainforest, and they are very involved in community projects, amazing!
Of course i asked about what things i could do during my 2 days stay.
And they suggested that I visit a place called Kokong knong (not sure of spelling!)
4Rivers team are raising funds to build a proper classrom for more than 30 students in this village. Guess what? This village is almost 2 hours away (by boat) from 4rivers floating lodge, but they were so thoughtful of the people here!
The 2 days is the most fulfilling, most fun camping experience i have ever had.
Now, I changed my bucket list. I am now looking for places that have the same passion and uniqueness as this lodge. I love camping!

The Apsara Rive Droite: "Excellent for a very reasonable price"

Review by: Harold B | Source: Trip Advisor
"I am a creature of habits so I return to places I like. It was great to see The Apsara still going strong. It has been spruce up a big, not that it needed to (aircon in my favourite room, number 7, changed and quieter). This is a truly boutique hotel, located in the heard of the UNESCO designated area and a short walk to everything. Staff is excellent, but as expected in Lao, English can be challenging, which is part of the charm. Any issues in respect of reservation, tours are sorted out by Loun, the experienced and knowledgeable front office manager. Rooms are enormous and have a very Indochina feeling to them. Breakfast is lovely. An excellent and well know restaurant with a lovely bar is located here. A truly delight to return. Stayed October 2016, traveled solo"

Samanea Beach Resort: "peaceful and clean"

Review by: suziecooch | Source: Trip Advisor
"overall this was a great place for us to stay, after travelling throughout Cambodia we found this to be perfect to relax and enjoy our down time. only a short ride into town and resort manager was so good she rang us tut tuts with no extra charge and they were there quickly breakfast is just yummy and fresh"

The Cabochon Hotel: "Romance of the past"

Review by: Taylor H | Source: Trip Advisor
I found Cabochon Hotel on TripAdvisor and was pleasantly surprised. The staff and hotel are reminiscent of what luxury travel was like many, many years ago. The staff was warm and accommodating, the décor was filled with time period furniture and antiques, and our room was generously spacious. Centrally located off Sukhumvit, the hotel is a perfect balance of location contrasted with separation from the busy city of Bangkok.
