Flower Island Resort: "Amazing"

"This island is staggering. We arrived on the boat to a millionaires welcome, we were blown away and the only guests on the island, ill never have this again in my life. Make sure you do the pearl lunch trip it was fab. Also sleep in the lighthouse, we stopped on the 5th floor to witness the sunrise, ill never forget our stay here."

Maison Polanka: "Beautiful rooms, amazing service"

Felt like a home not a hotel, from the warm welcome to the beautiful rooms. Everything is spotless, and the staff so helpful, esp with arranging tours . The restaurant is superb, and my wife particularly loved the coffee too! So much care has been taken with every aspect that I really can't fault anything. Thank you to everyone for a wonderful stay, and we will definitely return.

VILLA SONG SAIGON: "Beautiful and relaxing introduction to Vietnam"

"Shuttle water taxis allowed easy entry into the city and a quick escape at the end of the day. Tours to chi chi tunnels and Mekong delta pick you up at their river jetty and make for a beautiful way to experience the beauty of Ho Chi Minh. The facilities at the hotel were top notch and unobtrusive. The hotel's exceptional service was appreciated and staff were friendly and efficient. it is definitely the hotel to go to if you are starting your trip or ending it. Spoil yourself and give yourself at least 3-5 nights here so you can soak up the pleasures of riverside living in Ho Chi Minh City. "

VILLA SONG SAIGON: "Superb and enchanting"

"You have to go to believe how unique it is . The speed boat to downtown Saigon was the icing on the gateau. We arrived mid morning and were offered complimentary breakfast . Our rooms were most exciting . I shall never forget Villa Song . "

David’s Kitchen: "Great food prepared with love"

We ate at David's kitchen twice in a week. Discovering David's Kitchen was a wonderful treat! Lovely food and great service! Thank you David to you and your staff for a great culinary experience .

Sanak Retreat Bali: "Sublime"

David’s Kitchen: "David’s Kitchen – amazing service, amazing food"

"We were in Thailand for our honeymoon and my husband planned a dinner at David's Kitchen for our one week wedding anniversary. The service was truly the best, it was amazing to have the actual David come and speak with us and congratulate us on our wedding! But more importantly (in my opinion :) ) the food was OUTSTANDING! The spicy fish salad with green apple - one of my absolute favorite dishes in Thailand (from our whole trip)! We also got the oysters which were so delicious! For dinner we had the Squid ink linguine with spicy seafood sauce which was cooked to perfection and the Braised Beef cheek slow-cooked in red wine with Paris mash, it was sooo tender and delicious. There was even a lemon sorbet pallet cleanser between courses...it was so delicious, we ordered it for dessert too! David's Kitchen is a must if you are visiting Chiang Mai - you will not regret it!! :)"

Le Calao: "Superb."

We can’t praise this restaurant enough. It has only recently opened and there are a few minor details that need sorting (like no bread and butter plates for the delicious and generous servings of complimentary home made rolls) but the main thing is the food, and that is exquisite. The ambiance puts you immediately in a good mood and the staff are attentive without being over the top. The Lao menu is extensive and is quite difficult to trawl through unless you have a good knowledge of the dishes and how big or small they are. I had pork stew not realising it was more of a soup. My mistake, but delicious just the same. Two nights later we went again and stuck to the Western menu. My wife had a repeat of the French Onion Soup followed by the Mushroom Ravioli. I had the Pumpkin Soup and Roast Pork Knuckle. All dishes were beyond compare and a testament to the Chef’s expertise. A delicious red and white house wine each topped off a beautiful night and at a surprisingly reasonable price of US$70. Remember, the Ravioli is to die for.

Muang La Lodge: "Super get away."

"Great small lodge right on the river Ou. Indeed the swimming pool is on an island in the middle of the river that you get to via a wooden bridge. Lovely big rooms (somewhat like a Lao 'Tudor' look with all white and dark exposed timbers). Super meals ... dinner is a 5 course degustation. There is a natural hot spring that the locals use, and the lodge has permission to pump from the spring into two huge baths on small towers for the use of guests from 4.30.pm when it is still 42C - let it cool into evening a little! Great local market if you want to rise at 5.30am and have a bit of a stroll into the village. Don't miss a trip to the hill tribes. Loved this place."

Satri House: "Indeed a secret retreat"

"Beautiful hotel with a charming service. The room was very nicely decorated. Even if not in the city center, it is easy to go by bicycle and see all major attractions of the city. A little minus for the air conditioning unit located just above the bed."
