4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Floating Paradise in the Jungle"
In a remote location, I can accommodate in a very luxurious and comfortable place. Breakfast is a lot, can have eggs with bacon and ham with hash brown, and pancakes (the other day is muesli with fruits), and fried noodles (or other day is fried rice). The staffs are modest and helpful. The excursions are wonderful.Mudanwan Villa: "Luxury at its Best"
"We stayed here with our families and each family had its own villa. Each villa is unique and different from one another and faces the pond that is in the centre. The villa has a great relaxation area that serves daily afternoon tea and snacks. The area is an open space so we could listen to the nature and the insects and birds sing. The food was delicious as well. We stayed here for a couple of nights and we were able to book the private room that sat all of us around a large family round table. The food was different each night and it was delicious! The service was also exceptional. We were able to fish and swim in the infinity pool at the resort. We loved the ambience and the tranquillity. TIP: Just outside the villa there is a non-profit mini school that was started by a couple. They wanted to provide good education to the aboriginal kids who live in the area. Many university students volunteer their time to educate the children. If you were to go visit this place, please visit the mini school and perhaps you can donate some school supplies, books and perhaps mini donations. The volunteers (university students) also help serve food that the couple runs to help support the mini school. Go dine there if you are curious!!"Rice & Zen Boutique Resort: "A beautiful place run by beautiful people"
"Seadance Resort manages that very special skill of enhancing a naturally beautiful area with its presence. The layout of the resort takes full advantage of the tropical greenery both inside and outside the buildings and whilst the grounds are well tended it is not manicured and artificial but a natural infinity and flow that brings you down to the ocean's edge. When you meet Poy who established Sea Dance it all makes sense. His pride and thoughtfulness shine through and new staff like Faith all add something to this very special place. We stayed for 7 days and our normal style is to explore the area and discover places to eat. The fact we only ate out once is testament to the great food and we ate from the Thai menu exclusively. The breakfasts were great, the coffee good all overlooking the ocean. A dream of a place and a big thank you to all the staff. Stayed February 2017"Tugu Bali: "Classic & Classy at the same time"
"Canggu is a fun part of Bali, it's a great mix of being on the water as well as being very laid-back and hip (like Ubud and unlike Kuta). And Tugu is one of the oldest properties there - but they seem quite contemporary in a 'here's what classic Bali architecture is like' way. You can't go wrong if you don't mind paying the Tugu prices. The rooms are really nice and unique, and designed well. It's a hop-skip-jump to the beach. My only complaint would be that Friday night parties on the beach tend to be really loud, but hey, it's the beach. Super service, and awesome staff. What a breakfast! Room Tip: See if you can get the ones with a view of the sea"Tandjung Sari: "This place really is a 5 star hotel…"
We stayed here 1 night before flying back to Europe. Everything about Tandjung Sari is just excellent. The staff are professional and helpfull, they will go the extra mile for you with a smile. The place is perfectly well kept, the bugalows ooze luxe, comfort and classic Balinese style. Food was great, excellent by-the-glass wine choice and do try the banana fritters with icecream. Smooth jazz in the late afternoon to watch the sunset in style. We'll be back for more!Mudanwan Villa: "Tranquil and GREAT hot spring facilities"
"I have stayed in Mudanwan for 2 night with my family. We got a big room on the ground floor with our own hot spring pool and swimming pool in the back yard (privacy guaranteed), a large bathroom with another indoor hot spring pool, two king size beds, and it was just fabulous!!! We went for a full board package and the food was just gorgeous and fresh! There's a 24 hr juice/snack bar too. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, and the services were just great. We really had a fantastic time there. Although the location is really in the middle of nowhere, they do offer a nice shuttle service. "GLENBURN TEA ESTATE: "Outstanding"
"We stayed 3 nights for a family birthday celebration. We were 5 adults. It was a wonderful respite after travelling the rough roads of Sikkim. I agree with the earlier reviews and experiences and won't repeat the wonderful activities available. We did the walk to the river which we really enjoyed. On arrival (after being met with cool refreshing flannels and homemade lemonade) I lay down on a wooden bench by river and within seconds a lovely man appeared with pillow and large cushion for bench. I enjoyed a snooze while lunch on the barbecue. Wonderful care and our needs were met before we realised we had a need. Lovely lovely people. We chose not to dine communally but enjoyed wonderful candlelit family dinners on the terrace of our bungalow, served by a lovely gentle caring man. The drive into Darjeeling is long, bumpy and slow. I would recommend you don't waste a day of your precious time in Glenburn. Rather spend two nights in Darjeeling before or after Glenburn. We would have liked at least another night in Glenburn. It really is worth the journey in. "Villa Song Saigon: "Excellent"
We stayed here 5 nights and enjoyed every bit of it. Staying at Villa Song Saigon is a treat. The tasteful food, the very friendly staff, the spacious and clean room, the relaxed atmosphere and the spa all helped to make our stay very pleasant. A speedboat brings you to district 1, free of charge and tour operators will come pick you up with their boats in the morning so not to have you get stuck in traffic. It's a wonderful way of travelling, i must admit.Slow Villas and Spa: "Everything is perfect here"
On a fairly rustic island, Slow Gili is a modern paradise. Julie the manager was incredibly helpful with talking us through the island and what to see. The rooms are modern, clean and plush. I just wish we had stayed here for longer. Their spa is also fantastic! Highly recommend!Satri House: "Beautiful quiet hotel"
Our plane arrival was two hours late and Satri House was there to pick us up on arrival. The service was kind, friendly, and gracious throughout our stay. Navi, the guest services manager was present to offer dining suggestions and answer any questions we might have. All of the staff were excellent. The hotel is arranged in beautiful gardens and pools around a Lao prince's residence. The furnishings and interiors are antiques and one of a kind art pieces. It is almost like staying in an art museum. The impressions are fantastic. The food in the dining room was excellent. We had dinner twice and breakfast every morning. It is good value for money. We used the hotel bicycles to go sight seeing which was fun. It was overall a wonderful experience. We stayed in room 622 which was large, artfully arranged, and quiet, with both air conditioning and a ceiling fan which we loved.
