Tugu Bali: "What a mind blowing entrance"
Pool, cocktails and beach...we were staying 5 mins away at a private villa so can't comment on the accomodation but what an awesome place for a day or evening time out...amazing!!! Their cocktails were insanely great, beautiful beach, 2 pools to choose from and very friendly fun staff on hand!!! Love this hotel space. We came back 2 days in a row, first during the day then the next evening for beach cocktails!! Both very different and awesome experiences!! Highly recommend!! We'll be back!!The Hue House: "Nice"
Its really nice place to hang around on weekend. I like the place .the food is delicious with affordable prices. The staff is very attentive towards the guest , good service. I will be back. The Tiger’s Eye: "Love goes through your stomach"
"I was meeting an old friend to catch up on life, business, future and past. We had dinner at Tigers Eye and decided for the tasting menu with the carefully selected wine to accompany. Your experience is like tossed from the different sensations of Southeast Asia, to NY and Paris, still keeping that fine taste of Khmer cuisine and it's representation. Dinner conversations is truly accelerated by being at the right place, with right food and wine. Tim and his team makes Phnom Penh shine. See you soon again."Flower Island Resort: "Amazing"
"This island is staggering. We arrived on the boat to a millionaires welcome, we were blown away and the only guests on the island, ill never have this again in my life. Make sure you do the pearl lunch trip it was fab. Also sleep in the lighthouse, we stopped on the 5th floor to witness the sunrise, ill never forget our stay here."Tugu Malang: "A real jewel"
With a collection of Javanese and Chinese art to make a museum jealous and good rooms, pool, and food - what more could you want. Staff friendly and helpful. The afternoon tea with delicious and unusual Javanese sweet dishes was delicious. Would gladly stay againTalabgaon Castle Heritage Resort: "TALABGAON CASTLE AMAZING"
WOW. What an amazing place. Whilst we did not stay overnight, we spent a day. Our guide, Annpurna , was the most wonderful host, friendly, informative, inventive, colourful - simply the best. We were fortunate to spend time with her in her home in Jaipur and her family home, Talabgaon Castle. We made a new friend! Annpurna made sure we made the most of our day when we had the opportunity to visit her family home and village and meet and spend time with her beautiful family. The staff at Talabgaon Castle will ensure your visit or stay is perfect. The hospitality and friendliness is a treat in itself. We were invited for a complete tour of the resort rooms, hotels and facilities and they are world class. Arriving on the very colourful Camel Cart as we pass through the local village, the people are so friendly and the children just love it when visitors arrive at the Castle. Red Carpet entrance with welcome drinks and flowers. After a tour of the Castle and the grounds we enjoyed a very welcome lunch at the resort ,- the food was amazing and the service was simply the best, and then we were whisked off to be dressed and travel to town. We are now in local colourful attire and are taken to another nearby village - this experience is amazing. As we walked and talked with the local women and children. Enjoying the most amazing colourful markets and the most amazing display of fresh food that you will ever see. A few hours goes very fast and every minute is fabulous. Everyone is so friendly, they are loving the Western Visitors whom they do no see very often. If the world could be this friendly , fresh and colourful we would all be happy every day. A day or a few days spent at the Resort and the local village is time you will never forget. Simply Majestic. Thank you for sharing your day and your family with us. We stayed for 5 days, occupying to of the large bungalows for our family of 5. we loved the gourmet food, the available shuttle into town, the rustic/antique vibe, the GORGEOUS ROOMS!!, the bean bag riverside loungers . The staff was amazing. Joy is an excellent person to recommend fun and exciting day tours. We've been to Thailand 8x, also living both in CR and Bangkok: this is by far one of the most kept up, luxury resort we've stayed in. Many couples were there for their honeymoons (we see one another at breakfast). Breakfast is HUGE and very very gourmet! Nice background music: Billie Holiday-ish and 40's vibe. They do not play annoying Thai Christmas songs. (been in an MK lately?! ugh) This resort was Amazing! The owner treated us to sparkling wine to celebrate my husbands 50th. The staff were amazing and their English is top notch. We cannot wait to come back! It keeps Pai town civilized . We also liked that we weren't required to purchase Christmas dinner (which most Thai resorts do) bc we love going out for Thai. (but if you do want true Christmas dinner it looked amazing). You must take the shuttle to Pai Canyon for the sunset, the rafts to the caves, and the rice field walks. If you come at Christmas please recognize it can get down to 45 Fahrenheit at night in northern Thailand . The staff gave us wool blankets to use each day (60-70 farenheit) while we sat in the common area (dining area) and read all day. Lovely people !Cabochon Hotel & Residence: "A lovely hideaway from the loudness of Bangkok"
"A really special place in Bangkok. Unlike nearly every other hotel there, this is a low rise, colonial style hotel which is super relaxed. Located perfectly for exploring trendy Sukhimvit, you will have a wealth of great places to drink and eat within 15 min walk (again unlike many hotels which are often quite far away any cafe/bar/restaurants) Hotel itself has a real personality, feels like you've stepped into a time-warp back to 'French-indochine' times but is very nicely maintained. Rooms are spacious and comfortable with lovely hard wood flooring, huge windows. Restaurant is good for dinner, breakfast nothing special but fine. Staff very helpful, but never too pushy. In short, it's a very nice, very quiet place to hide away from the noise, smoke and general madness that is Bangkok."Slow Villas and Spa: "Simply Amazing"
We found this place on our last night on Gili Air, if only we found it earlier! It is so wonderful, we had the best stay. From a wonderful welcome with delicious welcome drink to a sensational breakfast before we left, everything has been 5 stars. They even offered complimentary massage in the new spa, which is built in a beautifully designed circular bamboo building. The design of this whole place really is something else. My husband and I could not stop commenting on how well thought out this place is. We loved it quiet surroundings and remoteness. It really is a hidden gem. It is worth spending the extra money to stay here. It is pretty great value really. So sad to leave but we will definitely be back for a longer stay next time.Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "Simply wonderful"
"Wonderful place highly recommend it . We spent New Year's Eve here and it was fantastic . Inle Heritage has only 6 rooms which makes it very cosy and exclusive . The whole structure is built on stilts on the southern side of the lake. The rooms are very spacious and the bathroom is made in traditional style with good space for clothing . Every room stands alone with great privacy and a terrace with sunbeds overlooking the lake . So peaceful and truly special . Inle Heritage is not just a guest house is also the training grounds for 48 local students which attend hospitality classes on site everyday , however you wouldn't even realise that if not told as they are organically blending with the place daily activities. By staying here you contribute to their tuition fees as 60 % is reinvested in the community and different programs that run onsite . One other beautiful touch is the vegetable gardens that are grown onsite and everything you eat is freshly picked from there daily . Inle Heritage also runs a reintegration program of the Burmese cats, as they were apparently disappearing from their original land . There is a section , like a small island , that completely dedicated to the cats . I find it quite cute , but I am a cat lover , otherwise could come across a little random if you would ask my boyfriend instead:))) On site there is a shop which sells most products you will find around on your artisan village visits , I think quality here was better and even cheaper than in the small artisan shops . Few notes on the place : dress warm as in the morning and evenings gets very chilly ( December / January i was there ) Take into account around 20$ for each transfer from and to the hotel as is surrounded by water so you need to take a boat ( which is a nice experience on its own) to get anywhere Highly recommend the sunset on the lake The staff is magnificent and the level of service was comparable to European standards , food also fantastic they even catered for me being a vegetarian adapting all menus; the warmth and attentiveness of the people here do make it a truly unforgettable experience . Hope to be back one day and wish you an amazing stay Stayed January 2017"Travel Asia with Secret Retreats
