Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "Exceptional Service and a beautiful setting."
"This meets all the expectations mentioned in other reviews and is an exceptional training facility. Rooms spotless, restaurant deserves all the praise as do the staff. The downside for some who wish to relax and rest rather than be out and about all the time can be the noise of the boats going past during daylight hours as the engines can be noisy, and that to get anywhere you must take a boat as it is on an island not linked to the shore. While this was a not problem for me... it could be for others who travel differently. It is also a 1 hour by car, plus 1 by boat journey from Heho airport so early flights can be awkward. In saying the above.... I would still return for another holiday to the same hotel and recommend it to friends."Hotel Tugu Lombok: "SUPERB HOSPITALITY AND ESTATE"
"As soon as I arrived I was welcomed with smiles and friendly greeting from the staffs. What a breath taking beautiful property it is. As far as you can see, your eyes are pampered with calm white sand beach, huge garden and unique, antique and magistic buildings . The menu in the restaurant are combined western and Asian cuisines and it came in generous portion. The room was big, faboulous and very detail facilitated. Open, green and spacious bathroom. The service and the hospitality of each staff there is the top. Super friendly, very helpful and professional. I forgot to bring my daily meds somehow, and they managed to get them in the farmacy which I could tell was not so nearby. So relief that they could get it exactly in same day! So, thank you Tugu Lombok family! For the best staying in Lombok!! Hope to see you all again. "Villa Song: "Villa Song Excels"
It is not at all surprising that former patrons of Villa Song are so enthusiastic about this boutique hotel. It is located in a quiet part of Saigon and has river frontage. The hotel is very well appointed, with friendly staff and very good food. A private (free) water taxi can quickly take you to the heart of Saigon thus avoiding the crazy city traffic. The rooms are large and our bed was very comfortable. My only concern was the steep spiral stair case to the top (3rd) floor bedrooms. This can be a bit of a challenge with those with knee/hip issues, as there is no lift. Do not miss the large swimming pool that is located at the rear of the hotel. If you are wanting a boutique quality hotel in Saigon, then this is it.Tugu Lombok: "Holidays in Paradise"
Our perfect family holiday started with a hotel airport pick-up which included cold drinks and fresh fruits. We stayed with our four year-old son for five days. At our arrival we were upgraded to an oceanfront villa, which was beyond all our expectation. Staff is very friendly and tries to fulfil all special requests. On our first day restaurant service was a bit slow, but the waiter apologised and suggested to pre-order in the afternoon. This arrangement worked perfectly for the rest of the week. We had the beach BBQ which was so good that we wished it would have never ended! We especially enjoyed the serene and peaceful atmosphere of the place. Absolutely perfect to detach and relax. All in all the closest experience to paradise that we ever had.The Apsara Rive Droite: "Dejligt hotel med super service"
David’s Kitchen: "Fantastic meal and great staff!"
"We had a fantastic meal at David’s Restaurant this week . Staff were attentive and friendly and meeting David himself was a pleasure as well. We had the escargots, scallops and lobster Thermidor which were all three really good. I will make a minor comment on the Lobster, it was rather on the creamy side so a bit too heavy for our liking after a while and we didn’t manage to finish the dish but great flavours. A great touch were the amuse dish of tuna tartare, warm bread with room temperature butter and a sorbet to cleanse the pallet. We had our meal accompanied by a great Poully Foume. Staff arranged our transportation back to our hotel as well. Would definitely recommend the restaurant and would return."Muang La Lodge: "A truly wonderful hotel"
"A superior hotel that offers a wow factor. At the time of staying we were the only guests and were treated like royalty. The quality of the room was stunning, and the service provided by the staff was second to non, including satisfying an urgent need for clean laundry. We would highly recommend a trek from the hotel, this was a challenging adventure, but highly worthwhile. The location on the banks of the river with accompanying hot springs was spectacular, and we were made to feel very much at home. Food was really rather wonderful. We cannot rate it highly enough, and would love to return one day. Stayed October 2016, traveled as a couple"Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "Paradise"
"This is one of my favorite places in the world. As soon as you wade ashore off the long tail boat that drops you off you know your somewhere special. It's a wonderful escape from work, city living and the world. There's nothing to do here but relax. A 10km long beach with pretty much no one on it and beautiful water. Small islands and mangrove swamps to explore by kayak. Beautiful beach homes to kick back in. The option of yoga in the morning and massage any time of day. Stayed January 2017, traveled with family"The Apsara Rive Droite: "Excellent boutique hotel"
"Excellent choice for a quiet, rural experience. Nice garden with a good swimming pool. Large well designed rooms in rustic Lao-colonial way and with a large balcony/terrace. Service is great and personal. Breakfast is with fresh fruits, coffee, fresh juice, wonderful warm breads and croissants, and a choice of different eggs. Transport to the other side is quite easy. Free boat service for drop-off and pick-up thar worked flawlessly during our week. There is a bamboo-bridge a few hundred meters away (5000 Kip / 0.65 USD). You have to scale/climb a few flight of stairs that are a bit rickety. Free bicycles to cross on a small bridge a bit further away. Tuktuk to town is 50 KKip / 6 USD. Watch the monks alms ceremony by the temple a few hundred meters to the right from the reception ar 6:15 am. Almost no tourists, so respect this holy cermony with minimal intrusion. Take the road to the left where you reach a temple with a wonderful view over the river. Only problem we had was the WiFi, but we got a separate modem that worked really well."Travel Asia with Secret Retreats
