Cabochon Hotel & Residence: "Hidden Gem"
"My husband and I stayed at the Cabochon Hotel over the Easter Weekend in April 2015. We found the hotel through The Secret Retreats website, and this being our first trip to Bangkok and Thailand, we decided to try something a little different from the standard Hyatt and Four Seasons of the world. Our experience with Cabachon started before we even left home. I had a couple of questions in terms of transport from the airport and booking at a restaurant we had been told was a must. I emailed the hotel asking for advice, and had a response within a few hours, not just with advice, but a restaurant booking confirmed at an exclusive restaurant over the Easter weekend on the date/time we had wanted - WOW! (...) The location of the hotel is great, located close to the sky train and shopping area's, easy to catch taxi's and massage parlours and great restaurants within walking distance. It's definitely our hotel of choice for Bangkok, and we'll most certainly be back."Heritage Suites Hotel: "Gorgeous hotel"
We had a great stay at the Heritage. Our room (which was upgraded) was really spacious open plan with a huge bed and bath. It was really peaceful and a nice retreat after busy day visiting temples. The staff were helpful and polite. The pool was nice a cool and great sun loungers to relax on. Only downside was the hotel did not have everything from the menu. Highly recommend this hotel to others and would stay here again when next in Siem Reap.David’s Kitchen: "Excellent!!"

"We had a short stay in The Island Lodge from 8th to 10th of April - I can say, a great finding! It made us extend our stay right after the first three hours on Michels premises. For us, since we were looking for a quiet place away from the busy days in Ho Chi Minh City, it was an excellent option. It was a great experience in all aspect. You will find a very idyllic small road leading to the west-end of Thoi Son island followed by a small path guiding to the entrance of the resort. A beautiful, silent place, which was obviously built and choosen by someone paying a lot of attention to details, will appear. Rooms are very clean and harmonic, the staff is extraordinarily friendly and attentive, food and service met our expectations. Overall a very cosy atmosphere - a place to recharge ones batteries :)"Yandabo Home: "A special place"
"Having enjoyed our river cruise from Bagan, we were whisked by a small boat to arrive at Yandabo Home and a warm greeting from the staff group. A real achievement to create this boutique hotel here, off the beaten track. Simple bedroom with a high quality bathroom and products and food well presented. Friendly staff took us to visit the local villages with tea and biscuits on the way on the boat back a nice touch. Thanks to all the team. I absolutely love this place. The setting is perfect for a quiet get away. The landscaping is immaculate and pier is such a perfect place to sit and relax. Even though the ocean is not really swimmable, the man-made beach is great. The late night champagne cruise to welcome 2018 was great. The "tapas"-like menu was delicious and creative and the champagne, cocktails and service were great, too! My only wish is that there had been some 'kanom' (sweets) at the end.David’s Kitchen: "In a league of its own"
"My title says all! I simply cannot speak highly enough of David's Kitchen, this is a MUST do in Chiang Mai. My partner and I ordered the set menu to celebrate my 30th birthday. This allowed us to try Davids most signature dishes and we weren't disappointed!! The food, service and personal touches were absolutely splendid. Many reviews note their personal experience with David, and yes this is fabulous but I would also like to mention the amazing unity the entire team have to ensure your experience is like none other. Lovely place, excellent location overlooking the river Saigon, some furniture shops and a few good restaurants nearby, convenient shuttle boat service to the city centre, very helpful staff, chic decor. All we needed for our short holiday in HCMC.
