This hidden gem is amazing. Ribs you can cut with a fork and the coconut ginger ice cream are must haves.

Satri House: "Fabulous hotel, charming and comfortable"

Review by: CyrilleFabre | Source: Trip Advisor
We spent 5 days with our 3 kids aged 10, 12, 14. I prefered Satri to the more expensive 5 stars hotels. Indeed, we found Satri house to be more charming because of the traditional asian style and the tropical garden. The hotel is also very comfortable with good amenities, wifi, and pool. The restaurant has both asian and french and is excellent. Good service also. Some small improvement ideas include mosquito net on the window, a place to dry cloth, more hot waters (only 1 bath capacity now)... but still fantastic hotel, highly recommended

Satri House: "Best Place to Stay in Luang Prabang."

Review by: Charn P | Source: tripadvisor.com
The Satri House was the place to stay even though it was much more expensive than other comparable hotels. The place was more a house than a hotel. In a way it went well with the town of Luang Prabang since two of them set the mood back by decades in time. Our group of four drove there in our SUV and spent two nights in Luang Prabang before heading back to Bangkok via Vang Vieng and Viengthein. Therefore our highlight of the whole trip was in Luang Prabang. The highlight of our activities was the offering food to Buddhist monks.

Villa Song Saigon: "2 nights wasn’t enough"

Review by: PipNZ516 | Source: Trip Advisor
"Fabulous hotel, loved every minute. After a busy 2 weeks travelling south from Hanoi via Mekong Delta it was a real treat to finish our trip with 2 nights at Villa Song. It was extremely hot in Saigon compared to everywhere else so we used the hotel as a sanctuary to recuperate and enjoy. We got it right! The free shuttle boat into town was great and frequent, so the only trip we made was to the market to finish our gift and souvenir shopping, then spent the rest of the day by the pool. It was lovely also to sit by the river watching the 'traffic', with delicious food and friendly staff. Breakfast was served for most of the morning and was a fantastic way to start the day. The room was great (we had an extra bed put into a twin room) on the top storey - a bit of a climb without a lift but not a huge problem, it's not as though you had to carry your bags or anything! Absolutely top of the list for another trip to Saigon, and maybe next time I will be able to drag myself away from the oasis that is Villa Song and see a little bit of the city!"

Maison Polanka: "GREAT AMBIENCE, TASTY FOOD!"

Review by: Schmidt P | Source: Trip Advisor
Visited Maison Polanka a day after my birthday and I had nothing but a super pleasant experience. Surrounded by beautiful greenery and a nice, calming atmosphere, it helped me relax for a bit and forget city life. Tried their Beef Samosas and their expertly brewed coffee... Will I ever come again? DEFINITELY.

REVERIE SIAM: "Excellent Resort in Pai"

Review by: Att V | Source: tripadvisor.com
"We had a great time staying at this resort. We really do appreciate all the attention to details as well as all the special care that we had received from the staffs and management throughout our stay. Foods at the restaurant were very nice from breakfast dishes to lunch and dinners. We were lucky enough to be able to meet with the young owner. We can tell that he really love what he is doing. He put a lot of effort and his heart on this property. All the very best to the owner and staffs. Thank you ver much for a great stay. We will definitely come back to stay with you again. "

Nimmu House: "An amazing place and a friendly team"

Review by: Christophe D | Source: Trip Advisor
We are a family with two children of 9 and 7 . We stayed our first 3 nights in Ladakh at Nimmu House . It is a beautiful quiet place : a well renovated traditional Ladakhi house with a beautiful garden and very confortable tents for the guests. We were staying in one of the tents : they are all beautifully decorated , comfortable and spacious . You get the dinner in the main dining room where you can eat a delicious cuisine . The staff is very friendly and always try to please you. The hotel is eco friendly and in symbiosis with its environment . It is easy to socialise with other guests . Wifi and internet connection like many places in Ladakh can be a challenge . Nevertheless, It was a very pleasant stay and our kids loved it . We strongly recommend Nimmu House . We will surely come back.

Villa Mathis: "Quelle sérénité"

Review by: cool006 | Source: Trip Advisor
For our first time in Bali, we chose to stay at La Villa Mathis. We loved this haven. This hotel is a beautiful concept, atypical bedrooms in small independent corners with 4 pools in total! You feel free to move in the middle of this very restful greenery, to swim where you want. Everything is well thought out, very nice decor throughout the hotel, plus personal pampering and smiling throughout the day! What happiness! We will not hesitate to return and reside also in Ubud. We go to lunch at Mathis Retreat during our day in Ubud and it is also a delight. What serenity !!

Sanak Retreat Bali: "simple luxuries"

Review by: Ruth H | Source: Trip Advisor
It may be unpretensious, ethical, and eco-friendly - but don't presume for a moment that Sanak Retreat isn't as beautifully designed and sumptuous as a high end hotel. Forged by the friendship between a local Balinese and a French businessman, the beauty of Sanak Retreat is the loving thought that has gone into every detail. It's the simple things after all that mean so much - the sweet sounds of the rice fields as dusk falls, the sensuous vivid green that surrounds you when the sun rises, the joyful bubbling of the river that runs through the property, the cool mountain air (and no mossies). The beautifully crafted timber villas are decorated with Indonesian textiles and wooden furnishings assembled by an astute collector, giving each room a sense of personal intimacy, and wifi and digital facilities are cutting edge. Local coffee and teas are generously provided. Every standing point has a view over the undulating highly oxygenated valley clear of both modern buildings and any hint of traffic noise. The retreat is deeply immersed in the local community, running a successful plastic recycling project with village children. And the restaurant offers a world class menu, including an extraordinary lemongrass creme brulee and a fine wine list. They will even bake you gluten free bread and pizza with a little warning, but local seafood is also fresh and delicious. There is a gentle, connected sense of calm and beauty here that you will be hard pressed to experience anywhere else in Bali. The spa facilities and private dining gazebo were created by die-hard romantics. And yet nothing is tizzy or florid. Good taste after all, is worth its weight in gold - or rice. And with several pools and lots of local treks, this is also a great place to holiday with children.

Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "A unique experiece"

Review by: jennypwinter | Source: Trip Advisor
The Blue Mansion was a wonderful, unexpected experience, a beautifully restored house with a calm and quiet environment. Large comfortable room, good choice of breakfasts and delicious food and good service in the Indigo restaurant. It is well worthwhile doing one of the tours to learn about the fascinating history given by a very entertaining Chinese lady. We found all the staff without exception to be very friendly and helpful, but in particular Shirley (I think that was her name) who gave us lots of advice of where to go and what to do which we did - the street art in Georgetown, markets, restaurants, Penang Hill and Battu Ferringai, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for a very different few days, we haven’t stopped talking about theBlue Mansion.
