Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "Our happy place"

Review by: Stefan R | Source: Trip Advisor
"We have spent 6 days at Golden Buddha in December 2015 and it has been one of the best Holiday experiences so far. The location is fantastic, the staff and the management are very friendly and the whole atmosphere is very familiar and relaxed. Food, drinks and services (e.g. Thai Massage) are great and our Baan was also stunning. Hopefully we can come back one day."

Satri House: "Most Lovely Stay"

Review by: Michael F | Source: Trip Advisor
"Go to Luang Prabang, a World Heritage City, and stay at this lovely, restored French colonial hotel. Every detail is carefully addressed, and the rooms are really charming. The staff is friendly and helpful, the food is good, and bikes are provided to ride into town. It is a relaxing oasis in a beautiful town. Stayed July 2016, traveled solo"

Inle Princess Resort: "Outstanding"

Review by: ludlbk | Source: Trip Advisor
"Another wonderful stay at Inle Princess Resort. The review is rather similar to previous ones, but we find everything at the resort just excellent, the chalets, restaurant, spa, bar, the newly redesigned gift shop, the swimming pool and again, above all, the people. Several staff members speak some basic German and Spanish and I encourage guests to give them a chance to practice their language skills. Rent a bicycle and explore the countryside, nearby villages, markets, or the Maing Thouk forest monastery, just ask at the front desk. The food, whether Burmese or Western, was always delicious. We simply followed the recommendations of the chef (Nwe Oo) or of one of her assistants (Mo Kham). The homemade Frangipani ice cream is among our favourite desserts. The special dinner on the ""honeymoon island"" just for us was an absolute highlight. Very impressive is the social responsibility of the resort owner family, supporting the local population in many ways, e.g., most recently, construction of a new high school nearby (""Bamboo School"") is under way."

Chakrabongse Villas: "Stay in a prince’s palace"

Review by: 214gregn | Source: Trip Advisor
This was built in the 19th century by a Thai prince. It's on a busy street and right next to the river. Once you get behind the gates, it's your own private palace. Pool, garden, decks overlooking the river. I think there are only about 9 rooms. It's pricey, but worth it. Our dinner was about a 7-course meal (prix-fixe), each one a delicacy. Took off my shoes at the gate and wandered around the rooms and gardens for all three days we were there.

Misool Eco Resort: "Beyond beautiful"

Review by: CapeMayMarsha | Source: Trip Advisor
"As a long time diver in the Caribbean and the Great Barrier Reef, I was amazed at the diversity and abundance of the: soft and hard corals, the fish, sharks, nudibranchs, clams, starfish, mantas etc at Misool. The colors are amazing. I had to remind myself that the reefs were real and not computer generated. Everywhere you looked there was a different coral and an unfamiliar fish/animal. We stayed in a Water Cottage built above the water on stilts. Each night we slept to the sound of water rippling against the pilings, in a very comfortable king size bed surrounded by a canopy of mosquito netting. There were few mosquitos near us though others reported some. Food is abundant, delicious, amazingly varied and served family style so you get to know everyone there. You walk along boardwalks surrounded by flowers to diving, presentations and the dining area. We felt pampered our entire time at Misool, by the diving staff, the kitchen and wait staff, house staff, the management and the astounding beauty of the place. Equally impressive is the work the owners of Misool do protecting the reefs, providing jobs / job training and education to the community. The beauty and health of the reefs at and around Misool is do in large part because of the work that Misool does in protecting the reef with it's ""no take"" zone, employing local men to patrol and monitor fishing, as well as the recycling programs that keep the waters clean and also teach the children about the value of their ocean. Misool is a very special place, most of the people who were diving with us were returning because they love it. We also hope to return."

Tugu Bali: "A rare gem"

Review by: Ollgoodhere | Source: Trip Advisor
"I stayed at Tugu hotel with my wife and my little one and we absolutely loved it. A rare beautiful place in the middle of a lush garden. They did an incredible job to maintain this historic place. The mystique beach of Canggu is one step ahead which can be enjoyed thanks to a very convenient ""green beach deck"" to enjoyed all the facilities of the 5 stars. The service is excellent. The Indonesian food very tasty and I simply loved the surprising Japanese restaurant. We need now to test the Tugu hotel in Lombok !"

Rachamankha: "small and cosy boutique hotel close to the city"

Review by: chbarthels | Source: Trip Advisor
Rachamanka, part of secret retreats, is a very special place in Chiang Mai. You are close to many attractions, but in the moment you 'll pass trough the door you are in a peaceful oasis. The whole hotel is decorated with antics and artworks of the regions. Everything is very tastful and well chosen. The staff is nice and obliging. The pool is a nice place to spend the hot time of the day. The library has many interessting books about Chiang Mai and the entire region and culture. breakfast is served in a cosy courtyard and there is also a small bar for a drink in the evening. We have not eaten in the hotel, so we cannot say anything about the food, breakfast was delicouse and offered a great choice.

Maison Polanka: "A welcoming oasis with boutique charm"

Review by: J C | Source: Trip Advisor
Great for families and couples who are looking for tranquility and excellent service after long days at the temples. The rooms are clean, charming and tastefully appointed (we were 2 couples, we had the Khmer House for our parents and stayed in the Orange Room just across the way), and the pool and grounds are tidy and inviting. We enjoyed a couple of breakfasts and a dinner there -- the food was delicious and the setting so peaceful. I might only suggest that the early morning to-go breakfast be amended to forgo the heavy full sets of flatware and replace the bread slices for an omelet option or something. The generous coffee and hot chocolate thermoses were genius, though. My highest starts for this stay was for the service -- we were made to feel like we were the only guests there, though we weren't. Francis was a particular gem: so helpful over email before we arrived and exceedingly courteous and thoughtful about arrangements throughout our stay (important since my father-in-law has a prosthetic leg and doesn't fit well in small cars, and none of us are accustomed to humidity). I would return to Maison Polanka in an instant and already have recommended it to friends. I have no doubt it is one of the most special hotels in Siem Reap -- we enjoyed it even more than our consequent stays at luxury properties like the iconic Metropole Legend in Hanoi, Vietnam. It's just a lovely place with lovely people.

Sanak Retreat Bali: "Beautiful, romantic retreat"

Review by: Jenny M | Source: Trip Advisor
We booked a two-bedroom bungalow and the views of both the sunrise and sunset were amazing. Surrounded by farms, we practically had the retreat to ourselves as it was the low season. The retreat is eco-friendly and offers a range of spa and massage services. Total relaxation, perfect climate and a great place to lounge around the pool. We will definitely re-visit and stay longer.

Sukoon Houseboat: "Unforgettable Memories"

Review by: raviairan | Source: tripadvisor.com
Its just chance to find this House boat in dul lake. It was amazing experience to stay there. This house boat is not like other traditional house boats in dul lake. It is like a five star hotel. You experienced a class on this house boat. Room size and interior is very good. Bathroom is USP of the room. Food quality and verity was very good. The chef was master in his profession. It has a Roof top restaurant where you can spend whole day to viewing beauty of dul lake and mountains. Staff was well trained and very much polite. Services was level of a five star hotel. They have water treatment facility so you don't bother about hygiene. They have a suite Room also.If you want to relax this can be one of best option in srinagar.
