Manda De Laos: "Delicious"
The food was delicious, we had the green papaya salad which was spicy but not too rip your head off hot! The staff were attentive and friendly, with beautiful surroundings and really cheap. Couldn't ask for more. The Island Lodge: "Delightful Oasis"
"We stayed just one night at the end of a Mekong Delta tour. Michel organised our pick up, which was a lovely trip in a long boat. We were greeted warmly on arrival and that feeling continued on during our stay. Staff were very friendly, polite and engaging. The rooms were lovely and well appointed, although a small fridge would have been a welcome addition. The food was good, a nice combination of French and Vietnamese and breakfast was delicious. Fresh bread/pastries and fruit and as much of whatever else as we wanted. We went for a walk into the village and got lost on the way back. The locals were very helpful with directions and eventually we called the lodge and they came and fetched us, we were only 300m away!!"Reverie Siam: "Exceeded high expectations"
"This is a gem of a hotel. An oasis in an oasis. Visually pleasing from the very first sighting. The hotel is just 10 minutes away from the small airport (no noise issue - there are only two flights a day at this airport!) and though one drives through some uninspiring immediate surroundings, once you enter the hotel, it is pleasing to all the senses. The garden and all the individual fittings reflect the detailed care and attention of the brother/sister/brother-in-law team. The food, which leans heavily towards Mediterranean is a match for any restaurant in Bangkok, the drinks are good value at 1/2 to 1/3 of equivalent Bangkok hotel price and the live music with alternating crooners are absolutely superb. Good pool and excellent care and attention by the entire staff. Easy lift in the hotel's Tuk tuk to the town's delights. Perfect."Satri House: "Ooh, this Indochine feeling"
"Wanna feel like a character in an Indochine film-noir? Stay at the Satri House in Luang Prabang and you will likely grow into it! Or just stay there because the place is more than perfect. Very atmospheric rooms: nothing beats this early morning light coming into the room through these shutter doors. Dwell around those steps and shady arcades and gaze at all these decorating items - where did they get all those beautiful things from? Two swimming pools, very friendly, professional and helpful staff, beautiful garden, great restaurant - what else do you need? LP is on walking distance, but you can take a hotel bike too."Tugu Lombok: "A cut above the rest, unique, ultimately relaxing, a 5 star hideaway"
You won't find anywhere quite like it. Private beach, amazing breakfast, dinner - try the rendang and a cocktail before of course. There are no intrusive package deal staff insisting you plan your itinerary for the whole stay or any set times to do anything in fact which is fantastic and makes you relax immediately. The handpicked artifacts and unique design of the hotel make you feel like you're staying in a very cool uncle's private home rather than a resort. The staff are friendly and respectful. If you are lucky enough to be looked after by Ibu Evi you're sure to have a fabulous stay.Locavore: "Not just for the sophisticated palate."
At first blush I didn’t think I would enjoy this refined restaurant experience. But what an amazing evening it turned out to be. We chose the seven course meal without the wine pairing but we only made it through the first five before we were too full to continue. The waitress talked us into the five or six part dessert which was unbelievable. Please refer to their website for a complete description of the courses I would never do it justice. It is a must stop if you visit ubud Bali. thank you so much to the chef for all his hard work and to the waitresses for the service beyond compare.Satri House: "Beautiful and Serene"
The Satri House is the perfect hotel to spend a couple of nights in Luang Prabang. Great location to main village and serene environment the pools make it very inviting. Rooms were beautiful Lao decor and the attention to detail was on point. The restaurant menu was good but not much of a selection. We wanted to try the spa but because of a staff shortage they could not accommodate us.Reverie Siam: "Beautiful oasis"
"My husband and I have lived in South East Asia for over three years. We travel quite a bit and have stayed in many boutique hotels. Seldom have we seen one this beautiful. It is very hard to improve on the reviews that have already been written about this place. We drove up the mountain out of Chang Mai and came to Pai for a little business. While there is not much to do here, this hotel would provide an awesome quiet rest. The grounds are stunning, the service was excellent, the food was amazing and quite unusual for this part of the country. Our room was lovely all the extra amenities here were very thoughtful. It is the most pricey hotel in this area but not unreasonable by Western standards. The (tuk Tuk) service to town every evening was a nice touch. Would highly highly recommend this place – you would not be disappointed. Wish we could take this place home with us- Cambodia. Stayed March 2017, traveled as a couple"Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "Paradise"
"This is Thailand's best kept secret. Charming and secluded and really really well run by Massi, the hotel manager. We were in heaven and are dreaming about our next visit. No tvs, no air conditioning, running water that smells a little due to minerals, but none of it matters when you are at the golden Buddha because you are drawn into a Robison Crusoe fantasy that you seldom find anywhere these days. Lots of nature and very little to do except enjoy the surroundings. Stayed April 2017, traveled with family"Villa Song Saigon: "Villa Song,Saigon"
"Wow! What a great place to stay when visiting Saigon.Located along the Saigon River. We had a fantastic room over looking the river. The hotel has a restaurant with outside seating within a few feet of the river;a great place for breakfast as the sun comes up over Saigon. The staff was always willing to help(we were struggling with printing boarding passes)and always greeted you with a smile. 5 stars! Stayed March 2017, traveled as a couple"
