Tugu Malang: "A hotel or a museum ? Spectacular either way"

Review by: LynBal | Source: Trip Advisor
"The Tugu in Malang is without question one of the best hotels in Indonesia. It is large and sprawling, and the antiques and old photos make it seem like a very old building, although it was constructed in the 1990s. The owner has an impressive collection of art, Indonesian, Chinese, and international, and it is displayed throughout the property. The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, and the separate enclosure for the very large bathtub in our suite was reminiscent of an old railway car. The staff is professional and attentive and always ready to take that extra step to make the visit a success. I bought a large traditional puppet, and the concierge wrapped it for traveling. Another small but important touch - knowing that clothing suffers from travel, the hotel policy is to press three items at no charge. The location in the old colonial center is perfect for an afternoon stroll through the history of Malang."

MesaStila: "I Love This Resort"

Review by: Toru S | Source: Trip Advisor
"I had a wonderful time at this hidden jem of Indonesia. This Central java's coffee-plantation-turned-resort is so lovely. I just loved every minute I spent there and hated the moment I had to leave the resort. Villa was nicely done in Javanese style, food was good (serving tended to be on a slow side, though - may be suitable for a leisurely resort time?), service was responsive, attentive and nicely done, the place was kept very neat and clean. The place with 22 hectare coffee plantation is something must see. I learned a lot about my favorite drink called coffee here. Thank you for all the service that made my stay wonderful. Keep at it!"

4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Beautiful place to stay!"

Review by: Vincent J | Source: Trip Advisor
"A very nice place to relax and do some tours, extremely friendly and helpful staff. The tents are great, they offer good facilities, and all come with an awesome view of the river and the most amazing sunset. It's definitely not cheap but well worth the money! "

Hotel Tugu Lombok: "Heavenly"

Review by: Liza D | Source: Trip Advisor
My husband and I recently spent three nights at Tugu Lombok, and we are already planning our next trip back - this time for at least a week! Although we were only there for a couple of days, the time that we spent there was incredibly restorative. The hotel's location, on the peninsula and away from other hotels, makes it truly feel like you've escaped from real life. The staff heightens this experience, by catering to your every need with a smile and impeccable service. When we asked the front desk where we might be able to purchase some aloe nearby, they responded that they would deliver some freshly crushed aloe to our room shortly. Lo and behold, fresh aloe arrived and it did wonders for our sunburnt skin. The food was delicious. We particularly appreciated that, in addition to their standard menu, they offered a supplementary menu that changed daily. The day of our departure was quite windy, and the staff helped us coordinate potential alternate ferry options for our trip back to Bali. Our driver also stayed with us at the port until our ferry departed, to ensure that we got on board safely. The staff truly goes the extra mile. We cannot wait for our next visit to Tugu Lombok!

villa song: "elegant colonial house"

Review by: luxuryvoyage | Source: tripadvisor.com
We booked the imperial suite and didn't regret it. Huge in size, wonderful bathroom with riverview and 2 balconies, one on the river and a smaller to to poolside. Villa Song Saigon is a peaceful retreat in an elegant area full of colonial houses. We loved the whole interior of the house, this french colonial style, bright and airy. The front desk arranged a private trip for us to the cu chi tunnels, the tour was organized well. Both days, we took the shuttle to town (only bus available when we stayed there), it was a short ride about 15-20 minutes and comfortable. Breakfast was good, also our asian lunch. Snacks are also available by the poolside. We loved our stay here, although it was a bit far out of Saigon Center.

SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "Amazing food"

Review by: Tam G | Source: Trip Advisor
Have been here twice - once for lunch and once for a special dinner. Both times were amazing - the setting is beautiful, service amazing and the food (the real treasure of the place). High quality and tasty - food that I could get in Europe (which is hard to find in Myanmar). The set menu was pricey but worth it - truffle ravioli and lamb come highly recommended. The chocolate fondant is amazing too!

Tugu Malang: "Probably The Best Hotel in Malang"

Review by: Triyono A | Source: Trip Advisor
"From the moment we arrive until checking out, this hotel has many touches that makes a guest feel special. They even print a post card with your name on it and put them in the bed before you arrive. One of the best attraction of Tugu Hotel is their art collection. There are so many nice painting, statues and art collection in their gallery. Ia also admire how they select the furniture and design the interior. Tugu Hotel most probably is the best hotel in Malang. They certainly is one of the best in Eastern Java. "

Maison Polanka: "A HAVEN OF PEACE AND COMFORT"

Review by: MIKE F | Source: Trip Advisor
"I wish we could claim responsibility for finding this hotel on line and booking it ourselves. But it was all done for us, and from the moment we stepped inside the sanctuary of its garden we were pampered, spoilt and generally looked after in a way which we often dream of but rarely experience. This really is one of a kind, with setting, accommodation, staff, food and service to match. If you can get a room - and there are only five - then this is a must-stay hotel. My only regret is that we are unlikely to return to Cambodia, but have been left with lasting memories. Room Tip: Any room you can book will be fantastic"

Manda De Laos: "A delight for the senses!"

Review by: PHWalker | Source: Trip Advisor
This restaurant is stunning. The setting is gorgeous, from the décor to the ponds with flowering lotus, the lighting to the perfect service - warm, attentive and discreet, if the dining was to be half as good as the setting then we were in for a truly special night...and the dining was perfect. Beautifully presented dishes, authentic local flavours... fresh, aromatic and delicious, truly 5star Laos dining in every respect but with homestyle warmth in the service style. The perfect place to explore and enjoy Laos cuisine.

Locavore: "World Class Food"

Review by: dunraven77 | Source: Trip Advisor
"Several people recommended Locavore but I was surprised with how good it was. My partner is Vegetarian so we both decided to have the herbivore menu with matched drinks. It was simply the best Vegetarian food I have ever eaten. The work that went into each dish combined with an amazing understanding of flavours just blew us away. As other people have mentioned the 5 or 7 courses morph into about 15 with all of the extra complimentary courses. They are small but I couldnt have eaten anymore. At around $300 AUD ($225 usd) including drinks tax tip etc it was a very expensive meal for Bali but comparatively cheap by Western standards. One of the great meals of my life. It deserves to be recognised as one of the best in the world. Treat yourself you won't regret it."
