David’s Kitchen: "King David"
David, The first of many best parts of our visit was your warm greeting. Hospitality at its finest. Then the delectable dishes of magnificently presented food. as a good as it gets. Please come to Chicago & make that pumpkin soup. Each course surpassed the next. I too would partner for life with a woman who could create that chocolate mousse. Kudos to your staff. The grand finale, a man proposed to a woman on Chinese Valentines Day. Cue the applause & thank god she said yes.NOEL RODRIGO’S LEOPARD SAFARIS: "Happy memories for life"
"Warmest of welcomes to the campsite from Dhanu and the crew Superb accomodation combining outdoors and luxury The best food we ate (and we had a lot to compare to!) in fantastic setting outdoors with just the right amount of background to the ingredients. We were also made to feel very special as it was our honeymoon And of course, what we came for was the safari and it far exceeded expectations. Not only were we lucky enough to see a leopard, but we were given so much time and care to ensure we got the big picture and could enjoy the breathtaking wildlife and scenery We will be talking about this short trip for days!! Thank you "Mie Cafe: "Do not miss this restaurant"
We went here on our first night straight after arriving in Cambodia. We stayed at Le Meridien which is only a 5 min walk. The food was great. Of course had to try the fish Amok - best fish amok I had in Cambodia. All the food is prepared by the kitchen staff with utmost precision which you will notice back in the taste. Half open kitchen and very pleasant staff. The chef came and visit all the tables personally to check if all was good. This restaurant has impressed me - must go to even if you stay a bit further away.Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "Wonderful safari"
"My husband and I had the most magical 2 nights here and absolutely loved everything about it! We had been warned that the Sri Lankan safaris were very different to African ones and so had tempered our expectations, but there was no need as we had the most amazing time and saw so much wildlife. Sajeet, Praneeth and the whole team were exceptionally knowledgeable and a font of fascinating information and we learnt so much. My husband is the bird enthusiast but after 4 drives spotting the most beautiful birds, I felt the start of a new passion! We were incredibly lucky to see some wonderful leopard sitings, made more special and exciting by the fact that we had two drives without seeing any. However those two drives were just as thrilling because of all the other wildlife that we saw - elephants, land monitors, crocodiles, star tortoise, mongoose, monkeys and the most stunning kingfishers, wood peckers, fish owl, fly catchers to name but a few. The tents were surprisingly comfortable and an evening open shower by moonlight was very special. The food was absolutely delicious with good wines and very atmospheric drinks before dinner and the most charming and friendly staff. Couldn't fault it and highly recommend this camp! Huge thanks as well for the wonderful photos taken by Praneeth that Sophie forwarded! Such great photos and so thrilled to have them as iPhones really don't cut with wildlife photography.... Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"Muang La Lodge: "Magical"
"On arrival we were upgraded to a river view room. The rooms are wonderful. Decorated in local style. very comfortable beds. Bathroom huge with both shower and bath. Plenty of hot water. The restaurant fantastic. Meals a sheer delight for taste and presentation. The staff are so friendly and helpful. There is a bridge over the river and on the other side you will find the pool - wonderful setting then there is a viewing tower where you can enjoy a G&T as the sun goes down. As the lodge is situated high up it can get chilly in the evening. Fire boxes were put by your table. A hot water bottle in the bed and heaters in the room. The hotel provides trips. We went on a walking trip to a village and waterfall where we had our picnic lunch. We only stayed two nights. I suggest more nights are needed to enjoy other trips and the village, and also the grounds and delights of the lodge (own hot spring) Muang is definitely a hidden gem. Wifi very strong in reception Room Tip: All rooms would be wonderful"Les Maisons Wat Kor: "Get away from it all"
We very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel. There were only 4 other couples staying, we had the pool to ourselves most of the time, the hotel is surrounded by lovely gardens/plants/trees with a giant lily pond in the grounds. Food was very nice but it is cambodian only, if you want western then you will have to go into battambang. Unfortunately you cannot get away from the party/religious music that goes on at night and early morning from the village (April is party/wedding season) but keeping the air con on all night helps to drown it out. Also dont worry about creatures jumping on the roof in the night - not sure what they were but you get used to it. Lovely staff. Would not say this is a place for families just couples.Pindaya Farm House: "Insight of rural Burma"
Simple, authentic, amazing home cooked food, cute little rooms, great views over the valley and right in the middle of nature. Aye, the host cooks all organic from the garden and around. The farm is a place for nature lovers curious to discover rural Burma. A fantastic experience to live! a true "secret Retreat" away from busy citylifeNimmu House Ladakh: "The place to stay in if you are in Ladakh"
"Nimmu House is located in a village about 40 kms from Leh. The property is actually a traditional Ladakhi house. Let me say at the outset that we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. It is not your usual hotel with television etc. The garden is relaxing and it has nice hammocks. The food you get is mostly continental and it's delicious. You get to walk around Nimmu village and watch the local cattle (called Dzorns) graze. The best part is that this property is away from the hustle and bustle of the main town of Leh. Overall a big thumbs up !"JL Studio: "Amazing. Just amazing"
Booked through a website called Secret Tables. When I arrived I was escorted to a secret table. Basically a room with a little table just for me. Bit weird. But loved it for that very fact. Staff were brilliant. A lovely candle. Won't spoil it for you. Just admire upon arrival. Highly attentive service. Subtle at the same time. Welcome drink amazing. And more if desired. Then the degustation meal came. Each dish a masterpiece to be admired before consumption and more so upon it. Great thought has been put into the entire experience of dining here. You will be rewarded for going. There will be no regrets. I walked 5km to get there from where I was staying. Not a step back unworthy of what I encountered. Congratulations team. Soon you will have a star or two and they will come. Please change nothing when the deserved success arrives.Les Maisons Wat Ko: "Beautiful resort"
A beautiful khmer house with Very nice green garden with small pond, my first impression is staffs are very friendly and warm welcome. Nice swimming pool big enough for inhouse guest. Room are spacious will full of amenities. I will come back again in the future trip in Battambang.
