Talabgaon Castle: "Treated like royalty in a royal palace"
"The first thing to say about reviewing Talabgaon Castle is that in order to differentiate these 5 stars from any earlier 5 star reviews, I should probably go back to the others and knock them down to 4 stars ... its just that good. The setting, the staff, the food, the amenities, the service ... all were top notch. We (as a couple) spent two nights here in January 2016. The staff were awaiting our arrival, and cool drinks and towels provided after the couple of hours drive from Agra (it is closer to Jaipur but we were going the other direction). Our bags were taken swiftly to our opulent room on the ground floor, and soon we were eating our first meal. This being the 6th day of our first trip to India, staying generally in upper market accommodation, we have become accustomed to good Indian food - but this took it to the next level. Flavours literally bursting. (...) For our final morning, the hotel staff set our breakfast table out in the courtyard of the gardens. In a nutshell - if you're able to stop over here ... even if its a little out of the way ... then do so. You will I am sure be as surprised, impressed and amazed as we were."Villa Song Saigon: "Wonderful Oasis on the River"
"I was fortunate enough to spend last weekend at Villa Song in Ho Chi Minh. The hotel is perfect...all the rooms have a wonderful colonial feel to them. My room had a balcony overlooking the river-perfect for a leisurely breakfast or a cocktail later on with my friends. While the hotel itself is beautiful, what set Villa Song apart was the service. The staff went the extra mile constantly to make our stay perfect. I can't recommend the hotel highly enough for anybody looking for a relaxed, elegant place to stay."Misool Eco Resort: "Beyond beautiful"
"As a long time diver in the Caribbean and the Great Barrier Reef, I was amazed at the diversity and abundance of the: soft and hard corals, the fish, sharks, nudibranchs, clams, starfish, mantas etc at Misool. The colors are amazing. I had to remind myself that the reefs were real and not computer generated. Everywhere you looked there was a different coral and an unfamiliar fish/animal. We stayed in a Water Cottage built above the water on stilts. Each night we slept to the sound of water rippling against the pilings, in a very comfortable king size bed surrounded by a canopy of mosquito netting. There were few mosquitos near us though others reported some. Food is abundant, delicious, amazingly varied and served family style so you get to know everyone there. You walk along boardwalks surrounded by flowers to diving, presentations and the dining area. We felt pampered our entire time at Misool, by the diving staff, the kitchen and wait staff, house staff, the management and the astounding beauty of the place. Equally impressive is the work the owners of Misool do protecting the reefs, providing jobs / job training and education to the community. The beauty and health of the reefs at and around Misool is do in large part because of the work that Misool does in protecting the reef with it's ""no take"" zone, employing local men to patrol and monitor fishing, as well as the recycling programs that keep the waters clean and also teach the children about the value of their ocean. Misool is a very special place, most of the people who were diving with us were returning because they love it. We also hope to return."Inle Princess Resort: "Nature and quiet"
"You have to sail in a small canoe for a few minutes before getting there, it's very quiet and beatiful surrranded by nature. We were there in a cold season so at night they make a fireplace in room which keep youwarm all night long. All villas have a huge window and terrase to look at the lake and rest. There are planty of birds around and night is full of ""singing "" frogs! There are mosquitos not too many, that's normal at lake side! Dinner is served in hotel restaurant and it s veru tasty as the breakfast a'la carte. Going to town for food is nonsense. All staff is doing their best to keep you in good mood. PS. Dear Lauren if you are rude maybe the manager is rude too!"Le Calao: "Fabulous location, food, wine and service."
"We discovered this new restaurant which has connections with L'Elephant when we wanted a glass of wine prior to the Storytelling. We were made to feel very welcome and had a glass of delicious New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. We returned the next night for dinner and had a excellent Lao meal in beautifully restored building overlook the Mekon. Portions are generous and only the best vegetables and ingredients are used. Another bottle of the SB was enjoyed. Good sevice with just the right amount of attention. Le Calao has only been open for a couple of months so it was only a quarter full but I am sure one will need to reserve once it is better known."Rachamankha: "An oasis of tranquilliy"
"The Rachamankha hotel is a true gem, an oasis of peace right in the city of Chiang Mai. We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights, and it was a perfect stay. The hotel is located just a few minutes walk from the Wat Phra Singh temple, and close to the Sunday Night Market. Taking a taxi from the airport takes only 15 minutes, and the everywhere inside the old center of Chiang Mai is walking distant. The rooms are located inside a courtyard that is secluded from the busy street outside, and it is very quite and peaceful. The staff is incredibly attentive and helpful, and guests are felt welcome from the moment they step inside. The architecture of the hotel is very elegant yet understated, and so are the rooms, which face the inner courtyard. The rooms have ample space, and complimentary amenities include slippers, bathrobe, umbrellas for the rainy days, fruit, and water bottles which are refilled daily. The breakfast is very good, with a buffet of bread, fruit, pastries and cereal, and the choice of items from an a la carte menu such as eggs, omelette, waffles and french toast. The quality of the breakfast and the service at the table is excellent. The swimming pool, located at the back of the hotel is big enough considering the smaller number of rooms, and was never too crowded during our stay. It is possible to also get massages in a building next to the pool, and the prices for poolside drinks are very competitive for Western standards. Overall our stay at Rachamankha was great, and it is hard to find a negative about the hotel. The price is high compared to the average room priced in Chiang Mai, but the quality is more than enough to justify it. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my fiends and family for their future travel plans."Manda De Laos: "Great restaurant and wonderful setting"
"We were recommended to try this restaurant and it did not disappoint. Food was fabulous , duck was wonderful as was the Luang Prabang salad. All of this is topped by the wonderful setting - get there early to catch daylight view before sun sets but then candle light makes it magical . Also noted gluten free selection on menu ."Tugu Malang: "Hotel ini memberikan pengalaman berbeda & sangat personal. Fully recommended"
"We stayed at the Hotel Tugu Malang, with the intention unt different experience from 'modern in general. (2dewasa, 1 child. 3 Days 2 Nights) We get a room on the first floor near the swimming pool. This is the first time we stayed here and were very impressed with this hotel: 1. Architecture and Java Colonial-style interior, filled with antiques. This point may be nothing like it, some do not. 2. The service is very personal. Here, the staff greet you with your name, ma'am whom, sir whom so. Very friendly and warm. 3. Got a welcome drink and a snack. 4. In the room, above the bed are welcome Postcard addressed to Us personally, with little interest. 5. Got Fruit Basket, his mouth filled every day (not just one time when he came alone). 6. Got Compliment Massage. 7. There is a Tour Hotel. In other hotels there is no hotel tour probably because no reply is told, at the Hotel Tugu lot of story. 8. Afternoon snack market got a compliment snacks and traditional drinks in the lounge. 9. Restaurannya nice and the food is good. The price such as resto in Jakarta Mall. 10. When you check out, offered a more traditional beverages. No Welcome Drink usual hotel, here fitted with Goodbye Drink. 11. Got souvenirs Kawi Coffee brand essence, from their coffee plantations. Overall, this hotel provides a different experience and very personal. Fully recommended. "Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "Perfect oasis with an exceptional staff"
"How to begin? There are six bungalows which sit over the southern part of Inle Lake. Your time spent here will not only give you memories you’ll always remember, but the money is going back into the area to preserve and help it thrive. Inle Heritage is not-for-profit, and they have a vocational training center on site to teach students from around the country about hospitality. It takes about 2 hours from the airport. Roughly an hour by car, another by longboat. I would recommend staying here instead of the northern part of the lake because you’re closer to all of the sightseeing. Don’t worry about the hour boat ride, because you’re sightseeing along the way! Make sure to keep your camera out so you’re able to catch some of the fishermen on your journey south. Take a big breath of the air too, it’s the freshest you’ll ever smell. Once you arrive, there are 6 bungalows. It’s also connected to a restaurant which makes the best food we’ve honestly ever eaten. We fell in love with Burmese food in Yangon and Bagan, but couldn’t believe it could get even better in the Shan State. A lot of tour guides will stop to eat at the restaurant since they have fresh, clean, and of course delicious food. The bungalow is perfect. The inside is clean, simple, and very relaxing. There are so many windows that bring in the freshest breeze all throughout the day. The view from the back is breathtaking and peaceful. I never read that Inle Lake was surrounded by such beautiful mountains, but the views everywhere are unreal and go on as far as the eye can see! The room is spacious, calm, and quiet at night. It’s such a treat to come back from dinner to have turn down service with hot water bottles at the foot of the bed. It’s so cozy! The bathroom area is also very spacious. The shower is big and the water pressure is wonderful. Breakfast was included, and they do not disappoint. You get so much delicious food, even if you’re full you keep eating because you wonder if you’ll ever have a breakfast this good again! Having it brought to your bungalow was something we looked forward to every morning. This was arranged the evening before so you can just wake up to an incredible meal. By the way, the organic food is grown and picked just outside your bungalow! You can’t get any more fresh than that. Also, we are both vegan, so they went above and beyond to accommodate our diet. We always love eating local authentic food when we travel vs. western, so being able to enjoy everything the other guests would also enjoy was perfect! I can't stress enough how their food was the best we've ever eaten in our entire lives! There is also a Burmese cat preservation on site as well. This is a wonderful cause since it’s re-introducing Burmese cats back into Myanmar. All of the cats are well cared for and are such a treat to visit while staying. Please make sure to stop by the gift shop. There are a ton of great gift ideas - especially cat themed. The money helps local artisans, and disadvantaged people in the area. They are constantly working directly with these people to get new items into the shop and help create a business for those less fortunate. Anything extra goes back into the Burmese cat preservation. My Husband and I originally booked 2 nights here for the middle of January 2016. The location and staff blew us away so much that we decided to change our flight and added an additional night. Thant Zin helped us call to cancel our previous flight, found us a new one and booked it for us as well. We couldn’t believe how simple she made it, and how happy she was to help. She honestly made our entire stay one we will always remember. We really appreciate all that she did for us, and so happy that we left as friends! We were continually blown away by the top notch service. Still, after 3 nights we wish we would have stayed much longer. What we loved the most about visiting Myanmar were the people, and everyone there proved it time and time again. Their kindness and willingness to help is above anything we’ve ever experienced. Every little detail was perfect. We felt like they were our family, not staff, during our entire stay. Having stayed at many boutique and top hotels, even a few that have made the TripAdvisor list of best in the world, this topped them all. If only I could put into words the feeling Thahara Inle Heritage gave us. I’m hoping this review will shed light on such a beautiful place. Stayed January 2016, traveled as a couple"The Apsara Rive Droite: "Excelent boutique hotel"
I stayed 2 nights. It is a small and very comfortable hotel. Staff is very friendly ready to make your stay in Luang Prabamg memorable. The food was good. Hotel located on the other side of the Khan River making it quite and more local. The hotel has a boat to cross the river (2 min.).
