Villa Song Saigon: "Blissful place for anniversary"

"We had our wedding ceremony here 5 years before the renovation and they had added more rooms at the expense of some common balconies that used to be there. This time we travelled back to SGN for a visit and celebrate our anniversary. Booked the Art Suite and it was so comfy with river view especially early in the morning. Opted for Vietnamese breakfast and simply loved the deli beef pho as well as the rice roll with minced meat. The iced coffee milk was great. The breaky was just simply superb! Indeed the whole place is blissful especially when enjoying the breeze sitting by the river. We had a surprise anniversary cake from them too and many thanks to Ms Nhu, Freddie and Yega for making our stay memorable. What is regrettable was the Thao Dien Village now which used to be part of Villa Song is now separated under different stakeholder. We were there to take photos but was bluntly told off not to do so unless we informed the management there. Utterly annoyed with such rudeness from someone in hospitality industry."

Manda De Laos: "Last night in Luang Prabang"

Staying in Treasure Hotel across the road from the restaurant. Looked lovely so couldn't resist. Tables surround a lotus pond and red Chinese lanterns cast a pleasing glow. My vegetable Laamp with rice was beautifully presented and much more than I could eat but powered on. Likewise husband's chicken red curry was also delish. Maitre de was attentive and warm. Highly recommend.

Satri House: "Perfect base for visiting Luang Prabang"

Two friends and I have just completed a trip in Laos which included four nights in Luang Prabang, where we stayed at the Satri House. It is an amazing property which provides the perfect base for visiting LP. The grounds are gorgeous, and immaculately maintained. The rooms are spacious, with everything one could want in a 4-star-plus hotel. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. The restaurant is excellent, serving well-prepared Lao dishes along with European cuisine. The hotel is about 12 minutes by foot from the principal sights of LP and the famous Night Market. If you are planning a visit to Luang Prabang, you could not find better accommodation than the Satri House.

Les Maisons d’Itac: "Amazing!"

I've travelled a lot and this is one of THE best places I've ever stayed. It's truly beautiful and the staff are so friendly and helpful, and particularly Brian. We stayed in the bamboo hut, it's stunning and romantic. The grounds are peaceful and tranquil and are a little piece of paradise. They have gorgeous dogs that make you feel at home. A couple of downsides was we found the food a little repetitive so opted to eat out in the evening and you are a 30 min drive to Moalboal. However it's totally worth the effort, we were diving every day so we went in each day and the driver was reliable and on time and it was cost effective. I love this place and will be back. Highly recommend

Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Delicious and beautiful restaurant"

Food is amazing! It's a degustation menu with a lot of plates, each one more exquisitly prepared than the other. Particularly the roasted caramelized pork was unbeatable! The place is beatiful and service quite good. The wine options had good wines for reasonable prices. And the cost: 31 dollar per person! Unbelievable! DO NOT MISS IT !

Rachamankha: "Enchanting hotel"

We stayed for two nights and loved the peace and tranquility this special hotel provided. It is located in the Old City, and thus is slightly removed from the bustle of central Chiang Mai. Really the attraction here alongside the quiet is the extraordinary architecture. The property's attention to detail in design and decor is one of a kind. If these features are not what you are seeking this may not be the hotel for you but if so it is a special and unique stay.

4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Unforgettable Paradise!!!!"

"What a magical place this is, after 5 hour drive from Phnom Penh and 30 minutes boat ride we arrived to 4 rivers and was welcome by Luiz with welcome drinks and fresh cold towels after a long journey who explained that we were the only ones there for the night. Just my luck as I wanted to propose to my girlfriend. Anna at 4 rivers had suggested all ideas for the perfect proposal plan. On the night we arrived we went to see the fireflies, once we headed back to the tents there was candles and red carpet into the tent and there was the perfect setting for my proposal.(...) Everything exceeded our expectations from the moment we arrived to the day we left, the staff are always smiling, very friendly and goes out of their way to make you feel welcomed. The entire setting is a paradise floating on a river with well-equipped tent and great views of the river. We only had 2 nights here on this amazing place but it was the best 2 nights ever which we’ll never forget."

Talabgaon Castle: "Nice hotel with AMAZING hospitality"

"Well, it was a long weekend break, and the wife and I didn't want to miss the opportunity to do 2 things - 1. Visit Bhangarh Fort - which is rated the most haunted place in India 2. Unwind and do practically nothing - as our work schedules are quite hectic On our way from Gurgaon, we covered Bhangarh Fort which is little detour off the route to Lalsot, then carried onto our final destination - Talabgaon Heritage Resort. The road till Lalsot Via Manoharpur - Dausa is quite good, with less traffic and we managed to cover the 290 Kms in about 5 hours. However, on the way back we took the Alwar route, road again is very good however the traffic on this road is more, hence took about 6 hours to reach. The resort is well off the grid, so basically nothing to do but relax at the hotel once there. This is made easy by the fact that the property is quite huge, very well maintained, the staff is ever so polite and eager to help, cleanliness is well taken care of and the food is simply AWESOME !! Dinner was by the pool side both nights, which was a nice arrangement with an army of staff standing by to force feed you :) Mr Narindra Mitra, the GM at the hotel, definitely deserves special mention for making sure we have a pleasant stay and managing the entire hotel/staff so well. Will definitely visit here during my next road trip maybe later this year. Couple of things which readers should be aware of while visiting the place - 1. There is no 4G/3G here for sure, so forget your laptop/ iPad at home and maybe tell the Airtel woman to come down here and do her crappy advertisement :) 2. Wi-Fi wasn't working throughout our stay due to some issue 3. Pool isn't really something to write home about and can be best avoided (The Management should make an investment and get this fixed)"

Heritage Suites Hotel: "Breathtaking Wedding experience – highlight of our whole trip!"

"We stayed here between 17/12/17 - 21/12/17 as a party of seven and had the pleasure of having our wedding day planned and hosted by the brilliant staff at Heritage Suites Hotel. Oma, Nicolas, Teka and each and every member of staff, we can’t thank you enough for the hours of work, meticulous attention to detail, beautiful venue and exceptional level of service we had during our stay. You made our wedding the most memorable, intimate and spectacular day we’ve ever experienced, and it’s something neither we or our guests will ever forget. We won’t bore you with the long story, but basically, we decided to cancel our ‘home wedding’ and elope to the country that we got engaged in two years earlier (best decision ever!). As you would expect, we were quite nervous organising our entire wedding experience via email and Skype, having not seen seen the venue in person. We went back and forth with the team, sharing information and pictures until both sides were confident that we would get the wedding that we wanted. Throughout the entire process, Oma, Nicolas and Teka couldn’t have been more attentive and helpful, answering all of our questions (sorry guys!) until we fully understood each element of our wedding and stay. If you are reading this and thinking of having a wedding ceremony in Cambodia, PLEASE, you should seriously consider using Heritage Suites Hotel as your venue of choice - you won’t regret it. Highlights include: - The quick transformation of the hotel ‘alley’ / atrium into a beautiful walkway & altar was nothing short of astonishing. The whole place had beautiful white decor, flowers (lotus & rose), with an amazingly decorated platform at the end where the ceremony was held. - The organisation of external services was exactly what we wanted. Makeup & hair was great, the photographer / videographer (Oyen Rodriguez & his team - check his stuff out on YouTube!) was phenomenal, amazing buttonholes & bouquets, an extremely charming and well spoken registrar called Mourad (who looks like Hugh Laurie!) to lead the ceremony. - We had the flexibility of tailoring our own ceremony including our own vows, readings and words in a ‘Western style’ and incorporating a Buddhist blessing given by some local monks which we and our guests enjoyed thoroughly. - More food and drink than you could ever want! The men and women enjoyed a light breakfast separately, before canapés & drinks in the lobby after the ceremony , more canapés & champagne during sunset, and a beautifully cooked dinner on the evening. - We couldn’t decide between having tuk-tuks or jeeps… so we had both! Each type of transportation were dressed up for the occasion including flowers, ribbons, signage (our initials) and tassels. - Our transportation took us out to ricefields and other scenic locations for photographs before arriving at a pier on a beautifully still lake (Trav Kot) for sunset canapés and champagne. - Our final destination was the real show stopper. Teka from Heritage Adventures (sister company of Heritage Suites Hotel) worked with us to organise a luxury camping experience and dinner by a remote temple called Banteay Ampil. Our jeeps pulled up and we were greeted by smiling staff who provided us with necklaces and bracelets made from the Jasmine flower. Venturing further into the campsite, we were surrounded by thousands of tealights, relaxing and having welcome cocktails in a ‘chill out’ area (think lots of cushions, throws, low sitting sofas, fire pits). The luxury tents were incredible - better than our house back home! We could go on for hours as the team organised so much more (on this day, and the rest of our time with them). We seriously couldn’t fault anything - each element was provided with 100% effort and the full team delivered everything with a smile. It felt as though they were genuinely happy for us, and enjoyed being part of our wedding experience. No text, pictures or videos could do the whole experience justice, and we feel quite smug that only the seven of us will ever know what it truly felt like during these special couple of days. Aside from our experience from a wedding perspective, the hotel and level of service as a guest was fantastic. The rooms were immaculate, tastefully decorated, spacious and comfortable. The restaurant food during breakfast, lunch and dinner was plentiful, tasty and well-priced. We were never left wanting, with staff always on hand to make sure we had everything we needed. Tugu Malang: "Unique, Stylish, & All-Time Favorite Hotel"

I love this hotel. It's an incredibly unique place that's adorned throughout with Indonesian antiques, and it also has an incredible antique shop for browsing or buying (not to mention a very large and well-curated selection of Balinese silver jewelry, both contemporary and vintage). The rooms are fantastic, filled with super stylish antiques, art, and fresh flowers. The hotel also has incredibly cool stationery in each room, reminiscent of grand hotels of the early 20th century. Melati Restaurant, part of the hotel, serves some of the best food in all of Java. This place is truly special and has to be one of my favorite hotels anywhere in the world.
