Tugu Malang: "Beautifull java architecture"
"I stayed in Hotel Tugu malang for 2 days in last February, I stayed in one deluxe room in 2nd floor not the cheapest room in the Hotel. The room is very spacious,we had a welcome message and welcome drink also welcome fruit when we are check in,Bath room is very wide Bed is very nice also,I think Hotel Tugu malang is the cheapest Tugu in Indonesia especially if you are compared with Hotel Tugu Lombok or Bali. We also have dinner last night in the Hotel they have so many choices of food,I ordered some duck and my friend ordered sop Buntut Also,Breakfast also nice they have traditionall Indonesian or java food, they provide buffee and alacarte also for the breakfast, for me the Hotel is the best Hotel in Malang. "Rachamankha: "Amazing"
The staff here were super amazing I would reccommend staying here Location was great and very comfortable with a great breakfast The staff were sooo easy to get along with We had one incident with the washing but clothes are cheap enough that it was funny in the end Cheap and awesomeThe Governor’s House: "Boutique hideaway in the city"
I stayed only 2 nights at the hotel but Yin Yin and her team really looked after me and it felt like I was a guest in their house. The hotel is beautiful with its antiques but manages to integrate modern amenities. Breakfast and lunch were delicious, with big portions I thought. Although the property in on a boulevard it is secluded enough not to be noisy. It's in walking distance to downtown and its main attractions, so it was the perfect fit for me.Inle Princess Resort: "Heavenly Spot"
This is a spectacular property. From the moment you approach this resort by boat, you feel tranquil and welcomed! To protect the peaceful nature of the resort, it is required that the long boats shut off their motors. You are paddled to the reception dock by a local paddling with his legs. The property is well laid out, with cabins spread out along the property. Some of them are lake view, others are pond view. The cabins are comfortable, with teak woodwork everywhere. The beds are comfortable. The bathrooms are spacious and clean, with an outdoor (enclosed) shower to boot. The service is attentive. Overall, this is a relaxing, enjoyable property that strives to fit in with the local culture. The only downside was spooty internet access, but this is a minor detail which is easily overlooked. Highly recommended. The Island Lodge: "Beautiful stay in MeKong"
"We were picked up in Saigon and driven for about 2 hours to this hotel. It was an amazingly beautiful spot to spend 2 days and relax and explore. Husband had a wonderful massage and the pool and lobby areas were gorgeous. The whole setting is very ""Indochine"" and so well done. The staff was very attentive and tried to help with all we could ask -- The breakfast which was included was delicious and we also had dinner there as there was no where else near by to go easily. We walked around near the hotel--but it is not near any other things that are places to see. We did do their bike/boat tour to Ben Tre which was wonderful. Our guide--from the hotel--was so nice and we took a boat to Ben Tre--then biked all over the island--stopping to see different fruits, ect... and visiting pagodas and locals on the way. Ben Tre is so nice, shaded and easy to navigate with the guide. We loved this place and the owner and staff were very hospitable! Room Tip: we had gorgeous room with balcony overlooking the pool and river"Le Du Wine Bar & Restaurant: "Lovely service, imaginative food, and great attention to detail"
"I read an article about Le Du and was intrigued by its promise of elevating Thai style food. I have been in Thailand for several weeks and have enjoyed the food but not been blown away by anything that I have not tried before until tonight. We elected the 6 course tasting menu. This is really a bit more than expected because there is an amuse bouche and a fruit plate that is not listed. Server was Erica who was warm, attentive and knowledgeable. The dishes range from sea bass, river prawn, aged beef, pork jowls and a sustainable fish. Each was presented with a lovely Thai inspired sauce and accompaniment. While all the dishes were terrific in their own way, our favorites were the pork jowls an the sea bass. The lovely staff recognized my husband's celebration of his birthday with an extra dessert. So what would I say could be improved: the beef dish was the weakest in that while flavorful, it was a bit chewy. I did not observe the concerns voiced by other reviewers as a high noise level, or feeling of being rushed. We were dressed in a neat manner and felt welcome. We thought the bill was reasonable for this type of meal. Yes, there is a service charge but the charge is 10% which in our opinion is low for the amount of service and 50% of the expected tip in the US. I did find the reservation system challenging. I made a reservation for one evening, and then realized we would be open earlier in the week and tried to change the reservation. I sent an email, and initially, did not get a response. The hotel clerk called for me and changed the reservation, But I received no confirmation of change. This is partly my fault because the hotel gave the name on my passport which is slightly different ( nickname versus formal first name) that they did not recognize as the same person. We called again, confirmed and a few hours later I received a change of reservation with right day, wrong time. 2 more calls and 3 emails later, it was cleared and confirmed. So lesson learned; choose the time you want on the first try. Also, the location is a little tricky. It is in a a Soi or a little alley. So leave a little time to find it."Villa Mathis: "GEM IN PARADISE"
Everything from team reception, through spa trials, surounding gardens, restaurants, was a dream. Coctails weere impressive and delicious, food once for lunch and onece for dinner was outstanding. The decoration is amazing and comfortable, very cozy at same time. Pity being on biz trip that I dint have much more time to enjoy full relaxation apart from a candle treatment which was very cool and efficiently relaxing at the spa. I'll be backLEOPARD SAFARIS - WILPATTU: "Highlight of our trip"
"We booked our safari with Noel's leopard safaris after reading the other reviews even though initially we thought it seemed expensive. The whole thing was brilliant, our camp host and safari guide Pila, is a walking encyclopedia and wildlife expert. He also has eyes like a hawk and an amazing ability to spot hidden wildlife. We arrived each morning as the park opened and though there were never many other jeeps he always lost them. Possibly beginners luck, we saw 2 leopards and a sloth bear on our first safari, along with a miriad of smaller mammals and gorgeous birds. Then on our last trip finally saw 2 elephants. This would have been enough but in addition the tents are comfortable and the food delicious. If you are not sure don't hesitate you won't regret it. "Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Free & Ease to Penang"
My friend & I had enjoyed to stay at The Blue Mansion. Staff are helpful & friendly, hotel room is big and comfortable and you can place order for your breakfast. For Dinner, you can walk to Red Garden Food Centre next door, there are wide ranges of food for your selections.KHWAN BEACH RESORT: "Real gem"
"We have stayed for 4 nights at khwan beach resort and every moment of the stay was remarkable! Extremely helpful staff, accomodating every request, private pool and great interior with attention to every detail. There is nothing that we could have expected better. The staff provides service to and from the AirPort. As French / English speakers from Lausanne we also felt a touch of home and had no communication problems as the owner is From France . Would highly recommend to any one traveling to kosamui: whether a family , couple or friends. Tip: try the Mathis restaurant or delivery . The kitchen is French fusion and the chef makes amazing fondant au chocolat. For those preferring local menu, there is a great choice Thai food equally as great "
