Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "Impressive, not only with the hotel but also what it stands for."

Review by: wonderlush | Source: Trip Advisor
I believe the facilities and service is already spoken for, but what is really exceptional is the values with which it has been built. All the waste from the toilet is filtered by plants and then released into Lake Inle which it is built on. I had the privilege to see the site where food waste is being processed to make compost for the plants in the gardens, which happen to be the source of ingredients for the hotel restaurant. From my observation, the staff are treated very well and deeply respect the founder of the Inle Heritage Foundation, whose motto is people over passion, over profit. Although I mentioned that the services have already been recommended enough, the restaurant deserves a mention. I hate bread and I had the first piece of bread I like at Inle Heritage.

Tugu Malang: "Excellent deco, service and spa"

Review by: David R | Source: Trip Advisor
"Very nice hotel located close to train station (no need taxi). Many antiques collected by owner make hotel deco look unique with many rooms to discover and nice pieces of furniture. They know how to greet guests and make business: 15mn massage offered, very good local pastries with drink offered at tea time. Nice pool for children, good restaurant and cosy colonial bar. Great location to visit the town and the region. Very good surprise to find this hotel in this small town."

Heritage Suites Hotel: "Truly remarkable staff from top to bottom!"

Review by: happygolucky123980 | Source: Trip Advisor
"I acquired a two nights stay at the heritage suites through a silent auction in Shanghai. I was unable make it to Cambodia before the expiration date of the room nights. The general manager was cool enough to extend the time frame and after staying I am more grateful to the management than before! Beautiful rooms, affordable and world class food and beverage! But the true highlight our stay was the hotels staff! All were outstanding in both service and attitude. Rathner , the server by the pool was a standout but really all of them truly seemed to care about the guests here. The adventures office staff set us up with a private boat tour, personal driver, helicopter tour. Take their advice on everything!! They are right! The front desk are all pros and made sure all of our needs were met and checking was seamless. I wish I could remember everyone's name but trust me, they are all very good at what they do. The owners of this property have truly been blessed with a Fantastic staff and I will definitely be back to see them again. The temples are beautiful but the people at this property made this trip special for us. Well done!"

Samanea Beach Resort: "Girls Trip in Cambodia"

Review by: goadkimberly | Source: Trip Advisor
Beautiful, secluded resort. The hospitality and atmosphere is beyond expectations. We arrived in early afternoon to welcoming arms and were escorted to our villa. We enjoyed the delicious lunch and partook in 2 for 1 drinks at happy hour. When the bar tender discovered I preferred Bacardi Rum to what they offered, he went to a market and purchased it for my next drink! Unbelievable people! The servers gladly held our second round of drinks for after we returned from dinner. Everyone is friendly, helpful, and kind. The outdoor bath and shower were a perfect ending to serene and peaceful day.

Mudanwan Villa: "“ㄧ個令人非常放鬆,可以每天仰望藍天白雲、天馬行空、發呆的好地方”"

Review by: Lillian L | Source: Trip Advisor
Stayed June 2016, traveled with family"

Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Feels like staying in a 19th century building"

Review by: cys934 | Source: Trip Advisor
The property still retains its original feel, as the owners have used professional building conservation methods to restore the building instead of totally revamping the interior in accordance to modern interior design concepts. Recommend to attend the daily guided tours to know more about the history of the building and its 1st owner, Cheong Fatt Sze.

4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Amazing"

Review by: Carol L | Source: Trip Advisor
"I can't say enough about this hotel! We booked at 4 Rivers on the recommendation of some friends who had visited the area and had seen the hotel from a far. It really is a one of a kind experience. Here are the highlights: - The food was gourmet (and we are food snobs...), including the lunches packed for day excursions. There is also good wine list. - The staff were all incredibly courteous and went out of their way to ensure everyone was having a good time. Adonis, the manager, really seems to have pulled together a great team. - Our lead guide Rambo (his nickname!) gave good advice on the tours and made the days very fun. Definitely take the trip to the waterfall, and try the sunset cruise too. - The pre-dinner firefly viewing was very cool - The tents themselves are really special. They are very spacious, and the fans in the room kept the temperature just right for sleeping. Having a ladder right of the deck made swimming super easy and we were in and out of the water all the time. - Watching the sky change colours every night was an activity unto itself. - The lodge arranged our transportation to/from, and it was very professional and reasonably priced. Overall I would say it was excellent value for the money. We were there for 3 nights and i would say that was the perfect amount of time. Definitely stay there if you have a chance!"

Manukan Island Resort: "10 idyllic days in paradise"

Review by: juniorBrighton | Source: Trip Advisor
"Hillside villas: fantastic, bright, airy, separate bedroom and lounge, satellite tv incl movies, huge bathroom with waterfall tap over bath, good warm showers, lovely little touches like slippers, bathrobes, 2 complimentary waters, 2 cokes, and 2 sprites per day. For cheaper and no steps the beach suites are newly renovated, very nice, a couple of minutes walk from the private beach area, 5 minutes walk max from restaurant, view nice but is on edge of busy public beach. Wi-fi was assigned to each room and worked all the time for me. 27 rooms/villas total now. Beach: We stayed on private beach for 10 days - wow! Gorgeous, soft white sand and lovely warm sea, palm trees full of coconuts, views of the rainforest, sunsets, monitor lizard takes a nightly swim. The beach is cleaned immaculately daily. But the seabed does need to be cleaned more from odd bits of rubbish - we mentioned to Ben, the Manager, who is talking with Sabah Parks about it. It did NOT put us off sea swimming. Facilities: huge varied breakfast outside with fans, we had all meals outside with fans - perfect, even on the beach! 16 choices on the menu but Joey the chef made a different vegetarian menu for me every night, at a very good price, our maximum bills were 65MR pp for huge buffet , most meals were less than this, even with starters. We spent under £300 for the 10 nights on food and drink! A bargain. Alcohol expensive, as per Borneo. This is indicative of the personalised service at Manukan - everything is possible, just ask! Quiet bar, pool area very quiet but nice, small parties come for an evening meal from the mainland some nights. 3 piece acoustic & bass band serenade you every night too. Staff: EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE. Friendly, not intrusive, really care about all the clients and their happiness. Small and informal with very high standards of cleanliness and service. Thank you Ben, Welther, Joey, Sabre, Frederick, Yazid, Shima, Jessica, the new Mazilla, Nora, the band,.... The monitor lizards are safe and lovely to watch, hardly any spiders at all, but we used lots of deet against the mosquitoes (not too bad) and sand flies. There are mosquito plug-ins in the villa and a coil is lit at the evening turn-down service so you can continue to sit on the balcony at night. Things to do: we went on a day trip to Kota Kinabalu to see the City Mosque and do some shopping in one of the malls. Management and reception will arrange a boat at a good price 65 mr pp return (£13) or you can use the public one, slightly cheaper. It is only 10 minutes. From Manukan - There are watersports - thankfully they go offshore so it is not noisy, the sea-walking looked amazing, trips to other islands, snorkelling trips (there are not many fish jsut off the beach in comparison to the Maldives but other guests said the 3 island trip was good for fish). Cafe and shop run independently too if you need, but Manukan also sells the necessities, toiletries, drinks, crisps, beer in their shop too. A longer stay, 10 nights, allowed us to really appreciate this island. We had been to Sepilok Sanctuaries and also Turtle island before and were glad to have such peace in magical surroundings. Our memories will last forever. Do not hesitate to ask questions. Jayne and Mark"

Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "Luxury Eco villa"

Review by: millhat | Source: Trip Advisor
"We spent 4 nights here in February 2016 , staying in Bougainvillea Baan and absolutely loved it . The house was almost on the beach with well designed open decking areas , comfortable chairs for lounging in , outdoor shower , mosquito nets , dining area etc , plus a great collection of books and magazines to browse. It had a kitchen and dining table which went unused as we ate at the restaurant each evening . The food, service , and cocktails were excellent ; fresh and delicious every time . The club house and bar were great areas for sitting drinking and watching the sunsets and Happy Hour an absoloute must at 6 pm . The staff were always courteous , helpful and unfailingly polite. Loved the shop too , with a range of authentic and beautifully curated range of clothes , jewellery , glasses , textiles etc : we didn't bother going to the markets as everything we wanted to buy was here... And more ! A truly beautiful and magical place , made so by the people who work , run and manage it , and a special mention for Pena ! Very much intend to return"

Talabgaon Castle: "spectacular stay in maharadscha style heritage resort"

Review by: Claudius W | Source: tripadvisor.com
On our way from agra via ranthambore to jaipur, we spent two days in this wonderful castle. We are more than happy about this stop. Excellent service around the clock, very delicious food and first of all a beautiful architecture (incl. the pool) with many spots to spend relaxing and romantic days. The owner gives very interesting historical insights and the villages around are absolutely worth to be visited. Strong recommendation from our side!
