Sukoon Houseboat: "Perfect choice for Dal Lake"

Review by: Mountainmann | Source: Trip Advisor
We planned to spend 4 nights on a houseboat on Lake Dal and spent much time reading TA reviews and reviews from other sites. We selected the Sukoon based on these reviews and the new construction as we feared older boats may have a musty and damp smell. After looking at so many other boats during our 5 days on Lake Dal we are sure we made the correct decision. The service was professional, the rooms as described -- new. clean and well appointed. The food was good and the meal service superb. Customer service was a high point. A real plus for the Sukoon was the location at the far end of the lake away from almost all houseboats. This is important as most boats are located in a chock-a-block fashion with little if any privacy. They arranged our tours and other needs. We would definitely choose the Sukoon when we return and return we will as Srinagar is a fabulous destination that deserves more the 5 days. Our only regret was not having arranged airport pick up ahead of time. The airport arrival area is chaotic to say the least due to security procedures and most taxi drivers had no idea where the Sukoon was located --- there are well over 500 houseboats on the lake so this would be expected.

The Cabochon Hotel and Residence: "Truly Lovely"

Review by: sjricho6 | Source: Trip Advisor
Like something a little bit more genuine and truly beautiful? Cabochon is the place for you! So much nicer than the big 5 star monoliths. Cool, Friendly, H helpful and ohh so stylish. Gorgeous rooms. If you like interior design you will love staying here. Really well located but hard to get a cab from here, leave plenty of time when you need one

Talabgaon: "Treated like royalty in a royal palace"

Review by: Tony S | Source: tripadvisor.com
"The first thing to say about reviewing Talabgaon Castle is that in order to differentiate these 5 stars from any earlier 5 star reviews, I should probably go back to the others and knock them down to 4 stars ... its just that good. The setting, the staff, the food, the amenities, the service ... all were top notch. We (as a couple) spent two nights here in January 2016. The staff were awaiting our arrival, and cool drinks and towels provided after the couple of hours drive from Agra (it is closer to Jaipur but we were going the other direction). Our bags were taken swiftly to our opulent room on the ground floor, and soon we were eating our first meal. This being the 6th day of our first trip to India, staying generally in upper market accommodation, we have become accustomed to good Indian food - but this took it to the next level. Flavours literally bursting. (...) For our final morning, the hotel staff set our breakfast table out in the courtyard of the gardens. In a nutshell - if you're able to stop over here ... even if its a little out of the way ... then do so. You will I am sure be as surprised, impressed and amazed as we were."

Yandabo Home: "Wonderful remote place by the river"

Review by: Bart937 | Source: Trip Advisor
"If you are looking for authentic beauty and an experience of typical country style village life, Yandabo Home is the place to be. Beautiful brand new lodges , with well trained people, especially the 2 lovely ladies from guest relations, who joined us during the visit of the pottery village next door and to Pan Nyo village across the river for a look around this village famous for its buffaloes. This place gave me , together with Hpa An lodge in the south of the country, the best good feeling of Myanmar. No internet , no Tv, waw... Stayed November 2016, traveled as a couple"

Supanniga Eating Room: "Excellent food and great service."

Review by: bencomley | Source: Trip Advisor
We had some really different and interesting dishes at this restaurant with the unrepeatable name for westerners. The Isan cuisine from northeast thailand has some really unique flavours and is distinct from most of the food you'll have tasted in standard Thai restaurants. The prices are high for the area but still a bargain. Service was excellent and the obligatory sticky rice with mango was delicious. Without any alcohol we spent 1,700 baht on mains and a shared pudding and some fancy fresh fruit drinks. Highly recommended.

Pindaya Farm House: "Fantastic"

Review by: Alon-WalkInnIsrael | Source: Trip Advisor
It was our last day in Myanmar just before flying to Yangoon and back home. It was exactly the place we were looking for after visiting and staying at different hotels around Myanmar. The location and the big hut are magical, look and feel as if inside a legend. The warm hospitality and the great food made us feel at home. unfortunately we stayed there 1 night only. Could stay there for a week.

Locavore: "Best mark evet"

Review by: Jenny S | Source: Trip Advisor
I tool a friend who lives in Bali here as a thank you for being a guide whiktin Bali. We are both foodies and have eaten meals at some good restaurants, i.e. Ramsay, rhodes, river cafe, boulud, tragebuches, blaue ente, vong, warning, mpw and I can state this was the best meal I have had in years. Save you pennies and go for the full tasting menu with accompanied drinks. Also I recommend lunch as then you can slowly see and recover in the early evening!!!

Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "A special place to stay on the Lake"

Review by: balloongirloz | Source: Trip Advisor
"The staff were very helpful and willing to please, we enjoyed being spoilt as there is only six rooms. We were fortunate to stay for two nights over Valentine's Day, we returned to our room after dinner to the room being filled with rose petals and hot water bottles in the bed. On our second night the staff baked a special birthday cake and all the staff came out to sing happy birthday to my husband. The bungalows are tastefully decorated and comfortable. The whole resort is a wonderful experience from the lovely food in the restaurant, the playful cat haven and kind and caring staff. Highly recommend for a special and memorable stay. Stayed February 2016, traveled as a couple"

Glenburn Tea Estate: "One of the most amazing places we have ever stayed"

Review by: jeroend883 | Source: Trip Advisor
"We stayed at Glenburn for a long weekend. It was an unbelievable experience. Set in a truly unique location the estate is immaculately kept. Very nice rooms with magnificent views. The dining room is one very large table where all quests eat together. The food is excellent. The estate arranged various trips for us. They are very accommodating. We took a long walk down hill, several hours through absolutely gorgeous tea plantations. At the bottom Glenburn estate has a little cottage where lunch (with cold beers!) was served. We could have walked back up, but chose to drive back up. Very convenient. its the perfect place to unwind and relax and get a feel for this unique part of India."
