Villa Song Saigon: "Great location, fantastic food"

Review by: michiel g | Source: Trip Advisor
"Nice boutique hotel with nice rooms and in a quiet neighbourhood. 30 minutes from city center and 40 minutes from airport. Taxi to city around 150,000 VND. Great spot at the Saigon river with an excellent restaurant. The staff is very dedicated and service minded! The food was excellent and we had dinner there every evening. The breakfast is a la carte which is great as it has more standing than a buffet. Swimming pool excellent with nice beds. Fitness room nice and clean. However, they should add a bicycle as that is missing. Two items for improvement 1) is that the beds are relatively small for large people and 2) the neighbours were relatively noisy early in the morning one day. Overall strong recommendation with an excellent rating!"

Slow Villas and Spa: "Sublime level of accommodation on Gili Air"

Review by: MrandMrsDon | Source: Trip Advisor
If your budget allows, this is a no brainer. SLOW is a beautiful experience. The villas are stylishly and luxuriously appointed creating an ambiance rarely seen on Gili Air. The bed was especially comfortable (five star hotel quality) and the private pool and spacious garden added to our memorable stay. Highly recommended - without doubt the BEST accommodation on Gili Air.

Tugu Bali: "Art, History and Romance"

Review by: Marina A | Source: Trip Advisor
"We stayed for 2 nights and we're completely amazed by the special atmosphere of the Tugu Hotel Bali. This small museum of Indonesian art and history left us mesmerized. The lovely staff of the hotel made us feel at home and bringing hospitality to the next level. Our suite was wonderful, on the second floor with a huge Balinese style tub and great ocean view. Very rustic appearance, but with all modern conveniences and a very romantic and confy bed beautifully crafted . The natural beauty of the property gardens make it beautiful during the day and enchanting at night. We enjoyed the lush breakfast, with a wide variety of freshly made juices, that could be served anytime and anywhere we wanted. Every Thursday night the hotel has a cultural evening, with traditional dances what allowed us to know a little bit better the Balinese culture."

Hotel Tugu Bali: "Culture and spirit in a Balinese paradise"

Review by: Catalina Q | Source: Trip Advisor
I stayed in the Garden suite which has a private pool and open air bathroom, along with a private garden and Koi pond...it was one of the most luxurious and lovely hotel stays of my life! Every detail was carefully crafted for my arrival. It was my birthday the day I arrived, and the staff had prepared a special cake and flower arrangement for me in my room. Not to mention that every night there was a simple yet beautiful Balinese offering of frangipani flowers with woven palm leaves and a poem on my bed. The private pool with swing was so enjoyable after a nice day at the beach, and the bathroom with private spa tub was almost like being in a private spa. The breakfast was delicious, the hotel surroundings itself beautiful and serene. Next door you have the beach and several restaurants and boutiques and massage places, and it is still removed from the craziness of Kuta and Seminyak. Will definitely return!

VILLA SONG SAIGON: "Absolutely charming hotel"

Review by: dabby44 | Source: tripadvison.com
"A haven at the edge of the Saigon River. A beautiful, peaceful spot to chill out after a hot session of sightseeing. Chef Kevin, always eager to please with innovative Western based menus liberally sprinkled with South East Asian herbs and spices, great. Restaurant and hotel staff greeting us with their gentleness and smiling faces all the time. I can only highly recommend Villa Song "

Villa Mathis: "A Trip to Paradise’"

Review by: craigbusseltonWA | Source: Trip Advisor
What a fantastic holiday with my Mother and two sisters!! Fred and Fifi where the ultimate managers, dropping by for a chat each day. You don't get that at the big hotels! The staff where brilliant, and the rooms and gardens fabulous in this secret, private, quite boutique hotel. The Bali 'feel' was everywhere, with its beautiful architecture. Perfect for a romantic getaway or like us, a family get together.

Nimmu House: "un hôtel chaleureux"

Review by: AJP D | Source: Trip Advisor

Villa Song Saigon: "Perfect end to a fantastic trip"

Review by: Stephen M | Source: Trip Advisor
"What a perfect way to end a fantastic trip to a fantastic country. The riverside setting is an ideal way to relax after the hustle & bustle of the city. We were warmly greeted by the ever so friendly staff who, once again put other countries to shame with their 'can do' attitude where nothing is too much trouble for the guests staying here. We were lucky to get a complimentary upgrade to a villa room with balcony overlooking the pool and can recommend this type of room. The bathroom was a little small to be honest but as we spent our time in the city, the bathroom becomes immaterial as you just use it to shower after all. We had dinner at the waters edge on the 1st night and Kevin (the chef) took his time to explain the dishes and the best wine pairing - spot on Kevin! The setting is so relaxing and even romantic and with great food makes it a perfect end to the day. The breakfasts are plentiful and fresh, and eaten either at the riverside or in the air conditioned restaurant. A platter of fresh fruit, freshly squeezed fruit juice, coffee and your choice from the menu - I chose the full English and the eggs benedict during our stay and they were a great start to the day of exploration of Ho Chi Minh City. The water taxi runs about every couple of hours and is a 20 minute adventure to the city where you feel like royalty cruising up the river in the speedboat. This is a free ride and well worth the experience rather than sitting in a taxi. The last boat back is 7pm which gives you enough time in the city to explore the numerous happy hour cocktail lounges after the heat & humidity of the day. Back to the hotel review......staff were amazing and very attentive and the hotel manager even had one of his staff accompany us to the optician to translate for us as my wife wanted to buy prescription sunglasses - the hotel service was second to none. The complimentary mini bar is so welcomed after a hard days shopping that you forget about the amount of dong that you couldn't seem to get rid of on your shopping excursion - everything is so cheap! The mini bar has water, soft drinks and a couple of beers to relax on the balcony with as you watch the sunset over the city. We were allowed to keep our room on our last day until we left for the airport at 4pm which was great as we could use the pool then get showered without having to sit around waiting, and again, this was free of charge even though the hotel was preparing for a special event that evening. Nothing was too much trouble. A thoroughly recommended hotel just far enough away from the city, set in a very tranquil, riverside location where everything was just about perfect (I know I've used that word many times but the hotel deserves it)"

Tugu Malang: "Superb hotel in every way"

Review by: Keith S | Source: Trip Advisor
"This city-centre hotel is a complete gem. Beautifully designed around 1990 by a wealthy antiques enthusiast, this is a place with very high standards of staff service and enthusiasm. It is a treasure-trove of fascinating period rooms and spaces, crammed with wonderful artefacts of various periods, which the staff are very eager to take you round and explain. The bedrooms are very well thought out to a high spec, and with good wifi. The pool is a very good size, and beautifully lit at night. The breakfasts are of utter blow-out proportions, with great menu choices, though do allow plenty of time as each person's is individually prepared. You get a lovely complimentary afternoon Indonesian 'high tea' on the terrace. The bar is like a connoisseur's wine cellar. And don't forget the in-house bakery, with breads and cakes of the highest quality open till 11pm. If you take the guided tour, the hotel staff will take you round the top-end luxury suites (if not occupied), even though these are probably beyond the wallets of ordinary mortals. Hard to fault in any way. Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"
