Mathis Retreat: "La quiétude au rdv"

Review by: carambar14 | Source: Trip Advisor
"Accueil chaleureux, personnel souriant et attentif. Nous sommes restés 4 nuits dans ce magnifique hôtel intimiste ou la zenitude est le maître mot. Restau un peu cher mais très bon. Petit bémol pas de navette après 17h vers Ubud. Les massages sont excellents pour un prix doux. N'hésitez pas à profiter des bon conseils de Karine la directrice très sympathique, pour des excursions inoubliables. Stayed April 2017, traveled as a couple"

4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Uniquely laid back"

Review by: skittle999 | Source: Trip Advisor
It takes a while to reach this one-off location, but it's worth the 5 hour drive from Phnom Penh. Each tent is extremely well equipped and Anna, our host, is great company. Dont come here if you demand constant wifi or excellent service: the staff are willing and friendly, but are being trained up from scratch, so a spirit of tolerance is essential. Activities are limited and the wildlife largely non existent, but there can be few better places in the world to float on a river pontoon in luxury, whilst enjoying an escape from reality, good food and friendly attention. You can swim in the river, which is surprisingly warm. We each had a 90 minute (expert) massage at an absurdly low price, kayaked through the mangroves, and were led on a three hour tour of the surrounding forests. Happy memories!

Sukoon Houseboat: "Harsh1111"

Review by: Marvel | Source: Trip Advisor
"It was my first time in Kashmir so houseboat was one of the top attractions in my mind. Whilst searching online i encountered this beautiful piece of art and realised how beautiful and perfectly suitable it was for family and a comfortable five star houseboat stay. Upon arrival we were greeted by welcome drink kahwa and a very soft scarf. After that thw fun starts. Beautiful rooms, fresh linen, Kama ayurveda toiletries and not to forget a very courteous and supporting staff. Aashiq Bashir Pannnag Bela Rashid These five made our stay an unforgettable experience and stood all our needs within decent time. Sukoon has its own boat that completes too and fro from the boat ghat 19A to the Sukoon houseboat as a complementary service. Wifi is available roand the clock. It is highly recommended to go for Sukoon houseboat in case one is looking for a houseboat experience."

Villa Song: "Absolutely worth a stay! One of the nicest boutique hotels and great service."

Review by: Kris G | Source: Trip Advisor
From soup to nuts, the experience was superb! Greeted by a big smile and by name upon reaching the check in desk. They were prepared. The room is beautiful and clean. Refill of the complimentary mini bar each day was a great added bonus and not expected, plus it ensured you had fresh water in the room. The pool area and pool was lovely and inviting. I spent more time in and around the pool than I do in most locations. So relaxing! It was nice touring during the day and completely relaxing when at the hotel. Breakfast time could be chosen all day -- another absolutely amazing and much appreciated bonus to this hotel. Loved the food and the setting out by the river was so nice. In fact, I imagine the food was so good that they ran out of a couple things I really wanted to try on a couple of occasions. The boat ride into town was unique and let you experience the quiet outside of the center when at the hotel. The spa/massage was fabulous as well. In short, no complaints. Highly recommended. I would absolutely stay here again!!! Another bonus: the cream puffs at the turn down service one night were delicious!!

The Island Lodge: "Top place"

Review by: Doug H | Source: Trip Advisor
We stayed in a garden room. These are top class. breakfast selection was ok. And we had a top class dinner in the restaurant which offered a French selection of meals along with Asian. The pool area is a great setting looking out to the Mekong Delta.

Rachamankha: "small and cosy boutique hotel close to the city"

Review by: chbarthels | Source: Trip Advisor
Rachamanka, part of secret retreats, is a very special place in Chiang Mai. You are close to many attractions, but in the moment you 'll pass trough the door you are in a peaceful oasis. The whole hotel is decorated with antics and artworks of the regions. Everything is very tastful and well chosen. The staff is nice and obliging. The pool is a nice place to spend the hot time of the day. The library has many interessting books about Chiang Mai and the entire region and culture. breakfast is served in a cosy courtyard and there is also a small bar for a drink in the evening. We have not eaten in the hotel, so we cannot say anything about the food, breakfast was delicouse and offered a great choice.

Rachamankha: "Lovely – definitely unexpected in the city; quiet and peaceful"

Review by: Sonya G | Source: Trip Advisor
Beautiful Thai decor and ambience. It was very hot when we were there but the rooms were beautiful and cool. Drinking water was abundant and we did not have to purchase water whilst we were there. The design of the hotel is a great concept and interesting to read about in the books scattered in the common area - beautiful design; we would have used this area more had it been cooler. The library was amazing - my husband wants one like it! The pool is lovely, though warm later in the day as it is not sheltered - so we went for early morning swims. Close enough to walk to night markets - about 10 minutes.

Muang La Resort: "Relaxing setting, great food and lovely staff"

Review by: Innsy | Source: tripadvisor.com
We spent three days at Muang La resort. We went in the low season so had the resort (10 room resort) to ourselves. We had a river view room (highly recommend) and we could hear the relaxing sounds of the river flowing outside our room. The resort has two elevated hot tubs, using water from the hot natural springs. We enjoyed a Lao massage too.  The resort is set on the river, which is constantly used by the local villagers to fish and bathe.  We organised a couple of excursions once we had arrived. This was probably easy for us to do as we were the only residents.  The food was great. Every night there was a five course set menu based on local Laos cuisine. Breakfasts were great, with tropical fruits, divine home made yoghurt, croissants and scrolls, as well as eggs as you like them. Nothing is too much trouble. Everyone is very friendly and helpful.  The village of Muang La is a little difficult to get to but worth the effort. I am happy to recommend Muang La.

The Village House: "Perfect hideaway with great food!"

Review by: Jagger666 | Source: Trip Advisor
Wanted to stay there for two nights only, but after the first night we immediately booked three more nights. So lovely, so great. Really recommended if you are looking for a quiet and relaxed place. Not the cheapest, but well worth the money! VERY friendly staff and excellent food (dinner must be ordered in the afternoon). Nice pool as well and free bikes to explore the neighborhood. Would and will stay there again, if I have the chance to.

Rachamankha: "Peaceful place"

Review by: j0hnbalaise | Source: Trip Advisor
"This is a truly beautiful property. The space, design and interior flow have been put together with the eye of a master designer/collector. Every artefact has been carefully chosen and perfectly positioned. Everywhere there is harmony, serenity and something to delight the eye, such that it is impossible to take a bad photograph of Rachamankha! After the chaotic, steamy bustle of the streets of Chiang Mai it really is a delight to enter the enchanting courtyards of this lovely tranquil place. Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"
