Manda De Laos: "Elegant dining, beautiful setting, first rate"

Review by: John A | Source: Trip Advisor
We wanted to have dinner at Manda de Laos, but it was sold out for a corporate event. After being convinced that our Caucasian features would prevent us from slipping in unnoticed with this predominantly Thai business group, we settled on lunch. The food was traditional Lao, informed by classic French technique. We had salad rolls, green papaya salad, roast duck, grilled fish, vegetables and plenty more. All was delicious. And the setting is magnificent. It is all open air seating, built around UNESCO Lotus Ponds with tables on little boardwalks surrounding them. When we went by to make the reservation, there was a man in a small boat floating around pruning the rushes and making everything just so. Service was excellent as was the food, the ambiance and the entire visit. We walked by later that evening to see the entire street backed up with vans dropping off the corporate guests and felt glad to have been able to get in at all. I am sure it is lit beautifully at night, but during the day, we could see the lotus ponds in all their glory. Highly recommended, but reserve early. It is pricey for Laos, but a bargain in any other part of the world.

Satri House: "Souvenirs d’Indochine"

Review by: Pascal B | Source: Trip Advisor
"Hôtel de charme à 10 minutes à pieds du centre. Idéal pour retrouver le calme après une journée de visites. Très bon petit déjeuner, piscine calme, à l'abris du soleil, personnel attentionné. Grandes chambres, déco de l'hôtel et des chambres dans le style, sans fausse note, jusque dans les parfums subtils. Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"

The Island Lodge: "personalized attention to detail. Authentic, charming decor. Warm, friendly, catering staff and owners"

In a weekend stay, the owners and staff were able to cater to our vegan meal requests, fully understood our likeness for authentic, natural, adventures and went out of their way to make our weekend special.. And we got to enjoy the first rated spa in our short stay!!

Villa Song Saigon: "Charming Hotel"

Review by: Tar L | Source: Trip Advisor
"We spent 3 x nights in Villa Song last week and were fortunate enough to be upgraded for the last two. The new bedroom was absolutely stunning at the top of the building with an enormous bed and a beautiful view over the river. The staff were delightful and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. Villa Song is situated in a stunning setting right on the river in popular District 2 - and very quiet. It is the most perfect hotel to relax in after touring round Vietnam. There is a fantastic complimentary speed boat service that goes to and from the city hourly. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel - it is the most ideal place to stay in Saigon Stayed March 2017, traveled as a couple"

Locavore: "Wonderful Experience, but book ahead or be disappointed"

Review by: Anne007_12 | Source: Trip Advisor
"Very popular, small, expensive but very very good. We went here for dinner. Thank goodness we had skipped lunch after reading the reviews. We ordered the 5 course Otak-Otak which eventually turned into about 12 dishes as there are delightful little pre/post dinner treats along the way. What a wonderful surprise. The staff are fabulous and explained each dish as each one has it's own quirkiness - a bit fusion east meets west . . . . very tasty. We enjoy the evening very much and after our three hour eating safari we were very full. Would highly recommend for a special dinner or lunch out in Ubud, but do book in advance. No shows and late late comers are fined accordingly."

"My aunt and I stayed there for one night. Our lovely room is clean, well-decorated and luxurious. The staffs, students from the vocational training center, are very friendly, helpful and they make sure that we are having the best stay. The bed is very comfortable. Lodging asides, breakfast was very delicious. Many thanks to our host Ko Min and staffs for the hospitality. I would definitely recommend it to others. Stayed March 2016"

Zhiwa Ling: "Beautiful hotel in Paro, Bhutan"

Review by: Michael J | Source: Trip Advisor
This is a beautiful hotel in the magical and serene Paro valley in Bhutan, a place as faraway as one can imagine and more than a bit like the fictional Shangri La. Constructed in the architectural style of the country, it is a gorgeous property, with lots of open space. Rooms are located in about eight separate buildings, four to six rooms per building, all with balconies facing the nearby river. Our room was spacious and very nicely decorated; it included separate tub and shower, comfortable king size bed, balcony seating area and more than ample closet space. The fitness center is reasonably well equipped and situated in a large, attractive space adjacent to a large indoor swimming pool. The lobby and public meeting spaces are distinctively and comfortably furnished and decorated in the local style. The staff is as gracious and anxious to please as one can find in a hotel anywhere. This is a top tier hotel by any standard.
