Tugu Bali: "Thursday cultural event"
Thursday I went with some friends to see the Balinese dances and the truth is that very well worth it. We had a drink and we could be there the whole show. We did not stay or eat dinner but everything had to be very careful painting and thought. Highly recommended dances!Villa Song: "Exciding high expectations"
"This is no ordinary 5-star rating and I will soon tell you how this hotel succeeded in exciding my high expectations. It all started at the airport where I was patiently waiting to be picked up by a prearranged car that would take me to my hotel. After quite some time I decided to call the hotel to check where my transport was. When giving the hotel my reservation number, I was informed that they had not received my booking and that they were not expecting me until the following month. I suddenly realized that I had made a terrible mistake with dates, and simply booked a room once month prior to my actual arrival. To my great luck, Villa Song where able to help me out and arranged a very nice room for my week-long stay. They also quickly arranged a pick up for me. I was prepared this mistake would cost me dearly, but to my great surprise I was charged the same amount. That’s 5-star service in my book! Thank you! Now, a few things about this lovely hotel; It is a little bit outside the center of town, but it only takes about 15 minutes to get there. The hotel offers a free boat transport that leaves conveniently just outside the premises several times from morning to evening. The staff is very attenuative and make sure you feel at home during your stay. They have a great pool and the food at the restaurant is fantastic and reasonably priced. There is a nice-looking spa, but I never had the chance to try it out. There is also a small gym next to the pool with all the things you need to stay in great shape. If I would mention one thing that could be improved, that would be to give the guests a way to decide whether they want their towels in the room replaced or not. Considering the environmental impact from all the washing, I believe this to be a fair way to save some water and energy. Many hotels offer replacement simply by asking their guests to leave the towels on the floor if they need washing. Thank you for a lovely stay. I can’t wait to visit you again."Babe: "Sensational. A really special experience."
"Among all of the places I have eaten at, Babe exudes an atmosphere that rivals the most energetic of places, with the food sharing that same energy. Chef Jeff Ramsay and his team of chefs and hosts provide an experience that's unlike any other in Malaysia. The food is refreshingly inventive, executed well, and finished off with attentive explanations. I really enjoyed my time here and I recommend the place to anybody who's looking for a good time. "Reverie Siam: "Great place to relax and amazing food"
"We stayed for 3 nights in this charming resort, we came in from chiang mai by car, an interesting 2,5 h drive through a curvy landscape... We got a villa, as requested, with very good privacy (no11), everything in the villa is exactly as you see it on the internet.. The resort itself has a colonial style, very well done, we had all our dinners over here, their staff will do everything to accomodate you, food was outstanding (although more western style), but really delicious. We asked one night to be seated with view on the river, again no problem at all ! Breakfast is another great moment, nothing to fault on it. The resort itself has free transport to Pai, which itself is a small laidback town, nice nightmarket, you can very easily rent a (cheap) vespa style bike, driving around is easy, the main attraction points will not overwhelm you but because of the laidback nature it stays charming. Overall we loved our stay overhere, great place to stay, excellent staff, excellent food, we for sure would recommend this to anyone visiting Pai."Reverie Siam: "Fabulous honeymoon stay"
My husband and I spent 5 nights at this hotel and it was wonderful. The hotel has been opened less than a year and feels immaculate. There are so many positives about this place. The design of the hotel and gardens, the very conscientious staff that make you feel special, the high quality finish of the rooms and the superb breakfasts. The hotel is not crowded and so the swimming pool area is very private we often had the pool entirely to ourselves. A nice touch was a free glass of wine or bubbly during some of our evening meals. There was live music on 3 nights of the five we stayed which we enjoyed. We had a fantastic chef board one evening in the restaurant which was delicious. The only thing that would make this hotel even better would perhaps be spa or massage treatments. There aren't fantastic spas in the area and as the hotel has such pretty gardens that would have been lovely. A wonderful hotel, stay here you won't regret it!KHWAN BEACH RESORT: "Great time in kosamui"
"We spent a wonderful week in the great khwan resort. beautiful place, charming rooms and very friendly staff. Super breakfast at the Pool. We would go back anytime! We hope to be back in September for the grand opening of the hotels restaurant. "Tugu Malang: "Classic and Traditional"
"What should I say about my amazing stay in Hotel Tugu Malang? The room was excellent. They even provided us with FREE high tea between 4-6PM and they served very very good Indonesian traditional cakes and desserts. They also gave us 10 minutes complimentary shoulder massage. This hotel is like a monument. They gave us a free tour of the hotel and so we can see different rooms offered. Unfortunately, we stayed only for a night. Definitely recommend this hotel if you go to Malang!! This is the best place to stay."Inle Princess Resort: "Everyone is right"
"It's gorgeous. We looked out on the lake to see sunsets. Food in restaurant was very good. Staff are lovely. We had an A&K guide meet us at the dock each day and take us various places. Highly recommend. Getting spa treatments tomorrow - high hopes. Prices reasonable for spa compared to US.Weather cool in the mornings and evenings (need a jacket) but gets warmer as the day goes on. Hot but not horribly hot. We had to ask for flatter pillows as theirs' were too big for our necks. Outdoor shower is great! Room Tip: Ask for lake view."Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "A top notch mountain lodge"
"Beautifully located on a ridge overlooking the valley in front and the mountains above, Tiger Mountain is a perfect retreat for a few days rest. Independent cottages with beautiful sit outs amidst the forest, bird calls and mountain views makes this property special. The eco friendly resort with its own organic vegetable garden and freshly made jams and breads is an experience to be treasured. "Muang La Lodge: "Comfort in Northern Laos"
"This was our second trip to Laos and we decided to go further afield to the northern part of the country to trek and explore the region. The Muang La resort was a very welcome refuge in an area that has really not seen considerable investment in tourism infrastructure. The resort is all inclusive and does a very good job looking after its guests. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and offer up nice views of the river and mountains. Our three days of trekking were organized by the hotel. Each day was a discovery, and while strenuous, our hiking took us up mountains to remote villages inhabited by Khmu and Hmong. We also visited jungle waterfalls, local markets, temples and rice fields. Our guide was terrific and he gave us access to places I'm sure we would not have been able to discover. After a challenging day of hiking, it was great to get back to the hotel, soak in one of the hot tubs fed by a natural spring, have a swim in the pool, accessed by a bridge suspended across the river, and play with the adorable baby monkey adopted by the hotel staff. The food at the hotel was very good - with diverse choices available, including both Laotian and foreign food. The hotel provided us with packed lunches for our treks, typically a rice or noodle preparation wrapped in banana leaf, accompanied by local fruits. There are nice walks to do right from the hotel -- crossing the river in the nearby town and wandering into the local villages on the opposite bank is interesting, and the return to the hotel side can be done on a river raft built from bamboo by one of the local farmers. The hotel plays an important role in the local community, providing employment and management and language training to the local population. All staff, apart from the hotel director, are Laotian. I'd highly recommend this property for a visit to this part of Laos. It's well worth the 5 to 6 hour drive from Luang Prabang, through breathtaking scenery, especially on the stretch from Pak Ou. Heading back to Luang Prabang, we took a river boat for part of the journey, again arranged by the hotel. Pack good walking shoes, an adventurous spirit, and a curious mind and you will love the Muang La resort and all it has to offer."
