4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Unforgettable Paradise!!!!"

Review by: Ryan P | Source: tripadvisor.com
"What a magical place this is, after 5 hour drive from Phnom Penh and 30 minutes boat ride we arrived to 4 rivers and was welcome by Luiz with welcome drinks and fresh cold towels after a long journey who explained that we were the only ones there for the night. Just my luck as I wanted to propose to my girlfriend. Anna at 4 rivers had suggested all ideas for the perfect proposal plan. On the night we arrived we went to see the fireflies, once we headed back to the tents there was candles and red carpet into the tent and there was the perfect setting for my proposal.(...) Everything exceeded our expectations from the moment we arrived to the day we left, the staff are always smiling, very friendly and goes out of their way to make you feel welcomed. The entire setting is a paradise floating on a river with well-equipped tent and great views of the river. We only had 2 nights here on this amazing place but it was the best 2 nights ever which we’ll never forget."

Amata Lanna: "So happy we stayed here!"

Review by: L L C | Source: Trip Advisor
"We were two couples visiting Chiang Mai for a weekend. Two of us were visiting from NYC and Philadelphia, and two were joining us from Bangkok. I chose Amata Lanna after reading the great reveiws on TA but it surpassed my expectations. It is a small boutique hotel with great charm. Who wants to stay and a standard big chain hotel when you can get a great flavor for the area and the people by staying at a place where they know you by name and offer you really personal care? We had two double deluxe rooms on the second floor, each with a King bed and four poster with mosquito netting. The decor of the hotel is old and traditional, but there is thoroughly modern plumbing and air-conditioning. An overhead rain shower stall with good hot water and pressure, as well as a separate beautiful bathtub (which we did not use). The room is spacious and the A/C is excellent. An in room safe was large enough to keep a laptop. Breakfasts were served in the courtyard (there are many fans scattered around so it is comfortable). There was a cooked-to-order menu with Western selections and Eastern selections (delicious congee with pork or shrimp!) as well as a beautiful buffet of fresh peeled and cut fruits AND the most delicious mango sticky rice I've had. And I have tried a lot! This alone gave me so much joy! Yumi especially took great care of us, helping us arrange transportation and suggesting wonderful spas where we indulged in lovely massages. When one of our party became ill and required hospitalization, the entire staff mobilized to help us. They were understnding and gracious and allowed us to adjust our stay to accommodate our needs. Everyone always had a smile on their face for us and I genuinely felt very cared for there. I have neglected to name some of the other staff- Alan, a young woman who recommended the nearby spa, another woman who had an injured eye during our stay - all of them looked out for our every need. I hope we made it clear to them how much we appreciated all their efforts. I highly recommend this place for anyone seeking a boutique-type of hotel which melds charm and modern conveniences. But overall, it is the staff that make this a wonderful place to stay!!"

David’s Kitchen: "Amazing place, amazing people, amazing night"

Review by: Yifeng S | Source: Trip Advisor
"When we googled the ""Best fine dining in Chiang Mai"", David's Kitchen popped up which left us no choice but to try it. Online booking system made the booking so easy and convenient while the transportation services offered just made the life of a tourist couple easier. The architecture and the decoration were so exquisite and appropriate while the greens just somehow blent into modern buildings. Oyster for appetiser is a must with the fresh taste and unique sauce. For the main course, we ordered the beef cheek and a steak. With a bottle of Pinot noir, the food upgraded the fine restaurant towards perfection. Staffs were undoubtedly helpful and nice, providing all the fantastic recommendations. And we were so thrilled that Mr. David came to us and shared his story with us, putting a perfect ending note towards the night. For anyone who wants to have a wonderful quite night, this is the place you want to go!"

Maduzi Hotel: "Worth every cent"

Review by: 698wangj | Source: Trip Advisor
Stayed here for 4 nights. Despite noise coming from the roads outside with Hawkers peddling their street food, the hotel remain very tranquil and peaceful. Love their unique breakfast (not buffet style). Location wise, it's is within walking distance from Asoke BTS and Terminal 21. Just walk through exchange tower to get on the pedestrian bridge. Room is spacious with an extra large bed. However personally I would prefer firmer pillows with support. Otherwise, nothing to dislike about this hotel. Would definitely love to stay here again for my next trip to Bangkok.

RACHAMANKHA: "Oasis"

Review by: Cindy W | Source: tripadvison.com
"We were fortunate to stay here, albeit during the coldest weather in years! This is a true 5* property with wonderfully gracious staff. The location is perfect for walking to most areas you would want to see while in Chiang Mai. Breakfast is more than most would expect and in the evening the food is very good. "

Satri House: "Wonderful stay"

Satri House: "Wonderful attention to detail"

From the moment you arrive you know you are somewhere very different. Every little detail is taken care of and the personal touch of the owner is everywhere. Satri House is absolutely stunning and we will be back!

The Cabochon Hotel and Residence: "Amazing vintage style hotel"

Review by: Emerson H | Source: Trip Advisor
"The hotel is just amazing! The rooms are nice and neat. Air-con is good and the bath tub is just so relaxing!!! The hotel itself is decorated in a vintage style and it is just lovely. The environment is quiet and peaceful. Thinking of a quiet and peaceful holiday escape? This is the place you would want to go to! The staff is very helpful. They show us the neighbourhood and help us to get transportation."

Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "Delightful Boutique Hotel"

Review by: Tony E | Source: Trip Advisor
The Tharhara Inle Heritage Hotel is a delight. I don’t give 5 stars lightly, but this one deserves it. A small boutique hotel comprising just 10 individual cottages on stilts, at the southern end of Inle Lake. They do everything right from an environmental / cultural perspective. The hotel serves as a training ground for students in the hospitality industry. It grows its own vegetables in a sustainable manner. It encourages conservation. It houses a Burmese cat rehabilitation project. Highly recommended as a base to tour the sights and cottage industries of southern Inle.

The River Resort: "A lovely oasis!"

Review by: annabelsarah | Source: Trip Advisor
After a couple of days of slightly "gritty" travelling, it was a great joy to arrive at The River Resort. Lovely rooms, great river views. I had a very good massage in the spa and enjoyed some really fresh and delicious food. A lovely place to re-charge your batteries!
