I cannot say enough kind thinigs about this place. The rooms, the landscaping, the staff, the food, the spa, the smells. All perfect! Definitely worth the expense. The fact that there were bicycles we could ride throughout town made it even better. The map the hotel provided was hard to read, but mainly because i'm not sure how many street signs there actuallly are. "Great restaurant in Jimbaran Bay. Very friendly (we were walking there and got offered a lift by the owner/chef who was driving by) with appropriately attentive staff. Interesting cocktail menu - I had a Sungria which came with frozen juices for ice cubes and was lovely. Food is tapas style although dishes are served consecutively rather than all at the same time, and are interesting and beautifully presented. The suggestion is 3 per person which we had, and this was sufficient for a main meal. The pulled pork and the butterfish with beetroot yoghurt are de...lish...ous! Dessert of THE best mint ice cream with chocolate. The chef ensured he spoke to all tables making the experience even more memorable. Meal for 2 with a cocktail each, glass of wine each, 6 tapas and 2 coffees came to about £80 so not the cheapest meal in Bali, but probably one day of the best."Sanak Retreat Bali: "Beautiful, romantic retreat"
We booked a two-bedroom bungalow and the views of both the sunrise and sunset were amazing. Surrounded by farms, we practically had the retreat to ourselves as it was the low season. The retreat is eco-friendly and offers a range of spa and massage services. Total relaxation, perfect climate and a great place to lounge around the pool. The food that we ordered all good and tasty. The green curry is delicious and the pork meat also tender and excellent. The place is small and tend to be crowded but i think that common as many people also read good review of this place. Lovely hotel. Very peaceful, all boat stop their engines as they approach the hotel and traditionally paddle in, keeping the resort very quiet. The staff is excellent and were able to arrange our day excursions very efficiently. Rooms were very comfortable and we were treated to complimentary mini bar beverages (sodas and beers).
