The Twelve Hotel: "Nothing better"
Good choice, we read the reviews and this time we have not freagato. Clean place quiet and in great location. Comfortable rooms. From here we move on public transport in all directions. Then in the evening, after all the day in the chaos of Bangkok it looks like an oasis.Labyrinth: "A pleasant surprise!!"
"We went to Restaurant Labyrinth before a concert. Restaurant Labyrinth is located in an understated corner inside the Esplanade in Singapore. Chef LG Han used his creative juices to re-create many of the Singaporean dishes and delicacies... The results were phoenomenal!! From chicken rice dumpling to book chor mee to his chilli crab... Each dish was very well thought out and delicious. I would, however, suggest diners to go try the ""original"" versions before heading to Restaurant Labyrinth. That way, you will truly appreciate what LG Han's creativity and his originality. "Tugu Bali: "Authentic atmosphere & impeccable service"
Hotel Tugu in Canggu, was by far the best hotel experience I've had in Bali. Its location, property (rooms, pool, seaside, etc), details, in room features, everything was exceptionally good. Not quite like the modern-designed contemporary hotels, more than that it has a unique authentic atmosphere but a world-class and warm service.Tandjung Sari: "Perfect for Honeymooners"
My husband an I came to the beautiful place as a gift from my father in law, as he had stayed here before. We were so pleasantly surprised, the place was fantastic. The room was clean and had relaxing day beds inside and out the front of the cottage we even had out own private hut to relax in. The room was very clean and we felt very comfortable, the shower was outdoors. The best part was the beautiful gardens that surrounded us, the restaurant is on the beach, also the day spa at the hotel is the best I have ever been to. We cant wait to return.Sukoon Houseboat: "Lovely Sundeck-Fizaa with 360 deg View."
We stayed here for 2 nights on our 5th anniversary trip. Sumptuos dinner, hearty breakfast, cozy room, unbelivably clean bathroom. Babu was very attentive as well as vishal. Would def come again for its uniqueness n servoce. We had memorable stay an unforgettable view from d deck. Amazing sunset!Nimmu House: "A really nice change of pace"
Most people spend their first night in Ladakh in Leh (the site of the airport) which is fine, but another- and arguably better- option is to drive one hour west to the village of Nimmu near the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers, and stay at the wonderful Nimmu House. I stayed in one of the excellent and comfortable tents, which were both spacious and quiet (unlike Leh). The food was really good, especially the lemon chicken which was absolutely delicious. The staff is friendly, and the only improvements I could suggest would be some better grounds maintenance. I would definitely stay here again!Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Amazing"
"The Mansion is divided into 3 parts - the boutique hotel, the heritage museum and the restaurant. We stayed there for 2 two nights and totally enjoyed it. Good: 1. Location of the Mansion is inside the UNESCO heritage site and very near other attractions. 2. Complimentary parking is available inside the compound of the Mansion. 3. Complimentary guided tour is available 3 times a day if you stay at the Mansion. 4. Rooms are huge and comfortable. 5. The swimming pool area is so relaxing and it's new! 6. Amenities provided are well thought of and of quality. 7. TV with 11 channels and WiFi in the room also available. 8. Check-in and check-out were easy and fast. 9. Security was good. Visitors not staying at the Mansion are not allowed access to the wings where the rooms are located during their tour of the Mansion. Needs attention/improvement: 1. Mosquitos in the room - mosquito repellant is provided in the room for you to use. 2. Breakfast was late on the day we were leaving. We rushed through breakfast. Additional info: 1. The tour was informative. Our guide mentioned almost everything that was in the book about the Mansion that we purchased from the gift shop after the tour. 2. The Indigo restaurant was really good. We love the food so much and the service was excellent."Maison Polanka: "A unique experience, perfectly executed"
"My reviews reveal a shameless sybarite, happily wallowing in the decadence of suites in the top hotels all over the planet; the Amans, the Four Seasons, the Six Senses, the Belmonds. Siem Reap has most of these and visitors would be served well at any one of them in their visit Angkor Wat. For something wildly different and unique, however, book the ""Khmer House"" at Maison Polanka, the best of the five available rooms. This is a lush garden, about two acres, surrounded with high walls off a bumpy, unpaved back street not too far from the main canal road and the Museum (and the Aman). Behind the electric sliding door is a beautiful, cool and shaded oasis of grass, kept wet, with high trees and flowering shrubs. It is quiet and peaceful; there is no traffic noise Khmer House is a small, simple wooden, single room building on stilts in the center of the property. The large living room is underneath the house and the equally large bedroom with a sitting veranda is above. The bedroom is air-conditioned and has fans, in addition. See the website for photos. All this at less than half the price of the chains. Dining is under an outdoor pavilion adjacent to a very nice 50 foot pool, suitable for laps and cooling off after a visit to the temples. The menu, though limited, is varied and offers excellent suggestions for any palate. We were so pleased we ate all our meals there for five days, not venturing outside. I also attended the cooking school; one student and three cooks. Lots of fun. As it turned out, a great advantage of our booking was the superb service we received with our private car with driver and guide. Our guide, ""Pich"", is a certified, uniformed guide for Angkor Wat and accompanied us on all our temple tours for two days. She arranged for the tickets and the timing for our visits to avoid crowds. (We enjoyed the sunrise over the main temple.) She is an excellent, knowledgeable guide. The driver awaited us with ice-cold towels and water when we finished each temple visit. He was also available on call and waited for us on shopping and museum visits. a very worthwhile indulgence. The staff is small but attentive and anxious to please. Upon each return to the garden, a young women awaits with a cold towel at your room. This is not ""roughing it""; it is equal luxury in a different guise. A superb alternative to the usual."Satri House: "Such a treat!"
It's been more than a year since I stayed here, but this place was so good I still remember it fondly and it definitely deserves a positive review. I visited here by myself for a few days relaxation and R&R - Luang Prabang and Satri House are absolutely perfect for that. Everything about the room was perfect. I loved the bathroom, which is always a good test of whether a hotel is at the top of it's game. The pool was also divine. I would stay here again and again. Will definitely be coming back. Satri House is definitely in my top five Asian hotel experiences!Les Maisons Wat Ko: "Out of the ordinary"
The Maison Wat Kor is a unique resort just outside Battambang. Right in a local village with chickens and cows just outside the gate. The resort is very beautiful with the feeling of beeing in the middle of a forest. Friendly staff and very good food
