Maison Polanka: "Perfect."
Wonderful stay in the Yellow Room - quite, well appointed and spacious (much bigger than pictured). The owner cobbled together 6 or more properties to create a couple acre paradise. It's plenty close to downtown Siem Reap and down a sleepy side street so it is private and sees no traffic. Breakfast is quality - latte, fresh local fruit, freshly baked bread, eggs any way you like, etc. Toss in helpful staff (arranged tuk tuk to/from temples and car to PP, booked restaurants, even called airline on our behalf to inquire about changing flights), free bikes to tool around in, good library, and relaxing pool with excellent kitchen, and the choice is easyMathis Retreat: "A real retreat in beautiful surroundings with wonderful staff"
We received a wonderful, warm welcome at this peaceful haven which is a 10 minute taxi ride from the centre of Ubud. We chose a room in the new block overlooking the rice fields which was just beautiful- the pictures on the website do not do it justice. Fresh fruit was delivered to our room each evening. Breakfast at the Terracotta restaurant overlooking the rice fields was lovely and eating there in the evening was magical. The staff go out of their way to be helpful at every opportunity. We used the hotel as a base from which to explore this fascinating part of the island and would definitely recommend it. Only slight con was the wi fi was very temperamental but a small price to pay!Supanniga Luxury Bangkok River Cruises: "A delicious way to ring in a new year!"
The late night champagne cruise to welcome 2018 was great. The "tapas"-like menu was delicious and creative and the champagne, cocktails and service were great, too! My only wish is that there had been some 'kanom' (sweets) at the end.Rachamankha: "Beautiful peaceful retreat in the old city"
Very elegant and quiet with lovely art work and antiques throughout. Excellent service and extensive breakfast. Very nice pool. Small and personal. Puts you in a great mood. They pick you up and take you to the airport as part of the service.Villa Mathis: "Incredible stay"
Everything was absolutely perfect! I highly recommend the Borneo suite and the "romantic package." The massages are incredible as well! The manager, Chris, and all of the staff are extremely friendly and bend over backwards to make you feel welcome and more than comfortable. Even when we weren't staying the night, we came back to Villa Mathis just to swim, relax, have massages and eat. The perfect Balinese experience.Maduzi Hotel: "Excellent attention to detail"
Stayed here for 3 nights with my wife following a recommendation from a friend and really enjoyed the experience. The room was excellent value for money and very handy access to the nearby Asok BTS station. I will definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Bangkok.MesaStila: "A Piece of Heave"
"I have been here several times, mainly because I just LOVE the souvenir store they have - I have never left there without buying something. Items they sell seem to be handpicked wisely. I've also gone there just to take breathtaking photos. I've gone there just for a drink of coffee; I've gone there for meals. But recently my husband and I finally decided to overnight there. One night was not enough. Now planning at least a 2 night stay there next month. The coffee plantation tour is a must! "Villa Song Saigon: "Mattie Nason"
"Wonderful hotel with excellent service. We stayed in the Art room. I could sit on my bed with open windows and listen to the river, music from the restaurant and the feel the cool breeze after the evening rain. The extra cost for the larger room was worth it. Overall a good value. The food was excellent, breakfast was included and could be had any time during the day. The pool was a high light for me. On enough for serious laps and the perfect temperature. Open 27/7! All their recommendations were great too."Slow Villas and Spa: "Que du bonheur"
What happiness to Slow ... the place was absolutely amazing. The villa is beautiful and really well equipped. Everything is arranged with great taste. A very professional service and a wonderful spa too.Yandabo Home: "Wonderful hotel that tastes like home"
Coming from the busy and noisy Yangon, spending two days in Yandabo Home makes you feel like in heaven. Beautiful rooms with a crazy chic style; very few places like this in Myanmar. One of the best trained staff in the country. Totally worth going!!!
