Rahai’i Pangun: "Amazing wildlife experience"

"Seeing orangutans in the wild has to be one of the great sights in nature and Wow are a great company with whom to do it. I suspect that there are cheaper options as the 3 day 2 night experience is quite pricey, but I felt that I got value for money. Communications were good and I was met at the airport by my guide. The vast majority of boats on the river require you to sleep on the deck on a mattress under a mosquito net, but my boat had proper bedrooms, with ensuite bathrooms and air conditioning, which was most welcome in the jungle heat. The boat could easily take 6 in comfort, though I had it all to myself. My guide Faisal was excellent and beyond seeing the orangutans at the feeding stations we spotted them several times in the trees along the river, plus saw crocodiles, proboscis monkeys and various birds etc and pointed out the fauna along the way. He was very knowledgeable. The crew were also good, the food was possibly the best I had in Indonesia and they cooked for 6 so there was no chance of going hungry. Seeing orangutans swinging through the trees is incredible and I recommend everyone who visits Indonesia to experience it with wow"

Tugu Bali: "Wow hidden Jem in Canggu"

A must check out for excellent service & food combined with traditional architecture “As good as it gets !” . We found this hotel in Canggu Bali 18mths ago and returned to re visit this fabulous hotel. Sumptuous decor of the traditional Balinese type. Idyllic garden pool area just by the beach . A haven of tranquility and delight in the hustle & bustle on Canggu. Nothing is too much trouble. Check out their Balinese Dance Evening Thursday’s .... will be back !

"Me and my partner visited leopard safari last week it was AMAZING!, Saj our guide was so knowledgeable any questions about the animals he would answer withsuperb detail. The tents are comfortable and at camp you really feel at ease. We stayed one night so had two game drives both were Amazibg I would highly recommend"

Reverie Siam Pai: "Delightful hotel"

We had a four day stay at the Reverie Siam with my elderly parents and two month old baby. The staff were excellent - very kind and flexible when it came to accommodating our baby. I felt comfortable breastfeeding in the restaurant and by the pool which was a massive bonus for me since I didn't have to hole myself up alone to feed. The rooms were beautiful and we loved the jacuzzis. The pools are lovely and we were lucky that the hotel wasn't too crowded - we had sun loungers every day. One thing that was slightly disappointing was the food. Although reasonably priced, I was sad that the meals were not exactly generous in size. The pizzas were especially tiny! Someone is very good at writing menus because everything sounded delicious, but nothing really lived up to its description. Breakfast was big - two dishes, a hot drink, and a juice, but again, the taste just wasn't quite there. All in all though, we had a really great stay and will definitely return if we can.

Manukan Island Resort: "10 idyllic days in paradise"

"Hillside villas: fantastic, bright, airy, separate bedroom and lounge, satellite tv incl movies, huge bathroom with waterfall tap over bath, good warm showers, lovely little touches like slippers, bathrobes, 2 complimentary waters, 2 cokes, and 2 sprites per day. For cheaper and no steps the beach suites are newly renovated, very nice, a couple of minutes walk from the private beach area, 5 minutes walk max from restaurant, view nice but is on edge of busy public beach. Wi-fi was assigned to each room and worked all the time for me. 27 rooms/villas total now. Beach: We stayed on private beach for 10 days - wow! Gorgeous, soft white sand and lovely warm sea, palm trees full of coconuts, views of the rainforest, sunsets, monitor lizard takes a nightly swim. The beach is cleaned immaculately daily. But the seabed does need to be cleaned more from odd bits of rubbish - we mentioned to Ben, the Manager, who is talking with Sabah Parks about it. It did NOT put us off sea swimming. Facilities: huge varied breakfast outside with fans, we had all meals outside with fans - perfect, even on the beach! 16 choices on the menu but Joey the chef made a different vegetarian menu for me every night, at a very good price, our maximum bills were 65MR pp for huge buffet , most meals were less than this, even with starters. We spent under £300 for the 10 nights on food and drink! A bargain. Alcohol expensive, as per Borneo. This is indicative of the personalised service at Manukan - everything is possible, just ask! Quiet bar, pool area very quiet but nice, small parties come for an evening meal from the mainland some nights. 3 piece acoustic & bass band serenade you every night too. Staff: EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE. Friendly, not intrusive, really care about all the clients and their happiness. Small and informal with very high standards of cleanliness and service. Thank you Ben, Welther, Joey, Sabre, Frederick, Yazid, Shima, Jessica, the new Mazilla, Nora, the band,.... The monitor lizards are safe and lovely to watch, hardly any spiders at all, but we used lots of deet against the mosquitoes (not too bad) and sand flies. There are mosquito plug-ins in the villa and a coil is lit at the evening turn-down service so you can continue to sit on the balcony at night. Things to do: we went on a day trip to Kota Kinabalu to see the City Mosque and do some shopping in one of the malls. Management and reception will arrange a boat at a good price 65 mr pp return (£13) or you can use the public one, slightly cheaper. It is only 10 minutes. From Manukan - There are watersports - thankfully they go offshore so it is not noisy, the sea-walking looked amazing, trips to other islands, snorkelling trips (there are not many fish jsut off the beach in comparison to the Maldives but other guests said the 3 island trip was good for fish). Cafe and shop run independently too if you need, but Manukan also sells the necessities, toiletries, drinks, crisps, beer in their shop too. A longer stay, 10 nights, allowed us to really appreciate this island. We had been to Sepilok Sanctuaries and also Turtle island before and were glad to have such peace in magical surroundings. Samanea Beach Resort: "expat hangout"

kep and nearby Kampot are wonderful places to visit. Samanea Resort is set up totally to be by yourself, lovely pool and great view. it does however lack a bar. I like to sit in a bar area, not just be served

Maison Polanka: "Spoil yourself"

"This place was top notch. It was beautiful and quiet and the rooms were perfect. But what makes it top notch was all of the detail and the way the staff anticipate your needs. For example, we mentioned we might take their free bicycles into town so when we later left our room we noticed they had set out two bikes but also put cold water and a map in the baskets for us. You can book drivers/tuk tuks/guides through the hotel for temple visits and they always sent water and cold towels with the drivers- much appreciated in that heat! The hotel food was the best we had in the city. There are only five rooms so it feels personal but still offers plenty of privacy. The pool is the perfect place to hang out in the hot afternoons (or any time) and the entire compound makes you feel like you are in an oasis. The staff could not have been friendlier or more thorough. This place was worth every penny. Stayed March 2017, traveled as a couple"

Mudanwan Villa: "Quiet, beautiful, comfortable"

We stayed in Mudanwan 2 nights. Everything is great, besides you may have some same food in these two days... We went fishing, swimming, stayed in our private outdoor hot spring pool, sit in the 2F library you can see the whole landscape of the place. My little boy loves the ducks most, he always looks at the ducks and chases them, ha... This place is kind of far from north Taiwan. If you go there from north Taiwan, remember to reserve 2-3 nights.

Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Blissful stay"

"This is a straight five star stay with lovely accommodation in scattered lodges around the grounds, bird watching and treks available, and a wonderful veranda to sit and look at the Himalayas (if they are clear of mist....) We had mosquito nets (not actually needed) over our beds and hot water bottles can be requested! The food and hospitality are excellent. The staff are permanently on their toes. We loved our little lodge so much we could have just sat in there all day listening to and watching the birds. A local lady came and did a Reiki massage in the room. Reverie Siam: "Must Stay while in Pai"

"Booked Reverie Siam without hesitation when I learned this resort is one member of secret retreats, where I used to had exceptional stay at Rachamankha in Chiang Mai in 2014. I'm not very clear what's the background of the secret retreats organisation, seems it's a collection of small boutique hotel in the world. I'm so happy that this decision was absolutely right, we had again an outstanding stay here at Reverie Siam, and I definitely recommend to all TripAdvisor reviewer who going to visit Pai. We took mini van from Chiang Mai ends up at Pai Bus terminal, called to the resort and been told they could pick us up, within 10 minutes the hotel TuTu is already here. Smooth check in and we were been showed to our Deluxe Garden View room, the resort only have 20 rooms in total, however it occupied a huge piece of land, with plenty of plantation offers absolute privacy. Spacious room decorated classic antique and made us a calm mood. Toiletries were all handmade local ingredients, strong rain shower clear our tiredness away. Swimming pool also surrounded by trees and flowers and butterflies are everywhere, we are enjoyed the mountain view from the pool, and as only 20 rooms, so not often met other guest, so when the time we visited, became our private pool. What a wonder land! Breakfast is amazing! After so many hotel I stayed, I tend to love a la carte menu rather than international full spread buffet, as for buffet, so much similarity among different hotels, I cam remember the list of buffet items, that's really boring, but an a la carte menu are different, it is carefully selected item with sincerity from chef and it certainly delicately presented to please my appetite. This time I had egg benedict and transitional Thai porridge, both are delicious! Only one little thing could improve will be the wifi connection a bit slow or certain area no signal, I understand the land is big it may occur sometime. Hotel TuTu is frequently available when you need to go Pai walking street or come back to hotel, just give them a call. After we check out, staff were so nice, still send us to next hotel in Pai. My strongest recommendation to stay Reverie Siam if you are here."
