Mathis Retreat: "Very nice Boutique Hotel"

Review by: Linda E | Source: Trip Advisor

Rachamankha: "Beautifully designed courtyard hotel"

Review by: jpkfromwashdc | Source: Trip Advisor
This is a small uniquely designed hotel with rooms around two inner courtyards on a side street on the western side of the old city. The rooms are impeccably decorated with Thai and Chinese furniture and small art objects. There is a pool at the back of the property, which was nice on a hot day (aren't they all in Thailand??!). The hotel is walking distance to many of the most famous temples in the old city. The restaurant is excellent, especially dinners, which also featured light Thai musical accompaniment in the background. Staff was excellent and helpful throughout our stay.

Reverie Siam: "Little Thai Venice"

Review by: Kristina D | Source: Trip Advisor
Very nice place - Little Thai Venice. We have a beautiful relax day in our trip from Chiang Mai. Fantastic breakfast. Nice bar near the river. Beautiful view of the big white Budha statue and the mountain.

Les Maisons d’Itac: "A small but fantastic resort!"

Review by: MrUppsala | Source: Trip Advisor
We spent a long weekend in the bamboo house at this small but beautiful resort. Great experience. You are sleeping 3 meters from the beach! You hear the waves and all kinds of sounds in the night, very relaxing. The atmosphere at the place is great. It is sort of at the end of the road, so there is no restaurants or things to do within walking distance. But the staff and the manager Bryan are very serviceminded and will help you with anything you want to do or go to. We recommend you to eat all meals at the resort and then there's no need to go anywhere else. Just stay at the resort and enjoy it. We would love to come back some day!

Tugu Bali: "Don’t miss the chance to experience this place"

Review by: fishery1981 | Source: Trip Advisor
After 10 days of touring in Bali we finally landed at the Tugu. In hindsight I wish we could have spent even more days here. The service was unbelievable, the food was delicious, and the lawn near the beach was just perfection. We can't wait to go back!

VILLA SONG SAIGON: "An oasis of calm amidst the madness of Saigon"

Review by: newbornhellenophile | Source: tripadvison.com
"Yega and his team make every effort to make a stay at the Villa Song a memorable occasion. They are extremely warm, professional and hospitable and the hotel is in a spectacular setting on the banks of the Saigon river. There was a wedding on when we were staying. We were naturally concerned given we had two young children with us and we were worried that the noise would prevent them sleeping. The staff were extremely accommodating however, gave us an excellent recommendation for a dinner location nearby (to which they paid the taxi) and ensured that the noise from the wedding was not excessive. We were keen to eat in the restaurant as we heard great things about the food- however we didn't get the chance because of the wedding... next time, we hope. well worth a stay. "

Supanniga Eating Room: "Fab authentic Isaan food, in comfortable premise"

Review by: Robyn2hood | Source: Trip Advisor
"It's easy to find average thai food in Bangkok, but this place has consistently served up high quality Isaan food, in an atmospheric building with super helpful staff. It's not cheap but as varied and interesting as street food It's tough to find - go to thong lor and the up the Soi about 400 m. It is just before the 8ight shopping centre. You have to look hard as it is Narrow, 4 storey Building with the sign hidden by power cables in the street Book a table as I was disappointed once - this place is very popular with Locals and expats especially at weekends The food is derived from Isaan favourites and put together by grandma! I can say that everything we tried was outstanding. Particular favs were the Isaan sausage, fab red and green curries, noodles. One friend said this was the best restaurant he had ever been to - big call. Enjoy"

Rice & Zen Boutique Resort: "If you need a place to forget time"

Review by: tzewei | Source: Trip Advisor
"Imagine classical music playing while you are having delicious homemade breakfast , watching the green fields and mountains looming over the horizon. Imagine privacy, luxury and great hospitality combined, as you relax in a refreshing pool and bath in the sun. Imagine, different spots within the resort that you could slow down, read a book, feed the fish and realign your thoughts. That, is Rice and Zen. This resort has it all. This was a perfect place to spend my birthday with a couple of close frens. Recommended to rent a car for ease of convenience and to try out other fabulous restaurants such as Arbutso and Vivobene"

Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "Perfect Stay"

Review by: Lramsd | Source: Trip Advisor
"We stayed for a week at Golden Buddha Resort at the beginning of December. Despite a lot of wet weather we had the most fantastic time. It is impeccably run which can’t be easy considering they choose to employ people from the island who don’t have previous hotel training plus the beauty of the resort is that nature is a big part of it. The houses are beautifully designed out of teak with open air sitting areas overlooking the sea and open bathrooms. Bugs are part of the experience! We stayed at Baan tao tanu. A lovely house for the 2 of us and it was the perfect honeymoon stay. It was close to the club house where we had opted for full board food which was divine. I lived in Thailand for 3 years and this was by far my best eating experience. Everyday the menu changed. All of the coconut in their cooking is from fresh coconuts on the island. They don’t cut any corners and so you get the authentic taste of Thai food. Having said that though their roast vegetable salad was out of this world. I could have eaten it every day. Their betelnut wraps were also one of my faves. Saturday night they laid on a fabulous buffet which started with cocktails on the beach. They made my husband a delicious heart shaped chocolate cake for his birthday. We went to yoga class several times. The teacher was excellent and able to teach various levels in the class. We spent the rest of our days walking the stunning deserted beaches, reading, playing board games, having excellent massages and relaxing. This resort is stylish, relaxed, professionally run with extremely friendly staff who seem like one big family ( and probably are) "
